Cage ideale pour 2 ou 3 hamsters, tres grande, elle permet de placer des decors et des jouets en bois (echelle flexible, petite maison, tronc en liege) ou encore une litiere avec du sable ou les hamsters feront leur bain. Pour 1 seul hamster, une cage de 70 x 45 cm est largement suffisante. Faire attention avec les enfants, car le plastique peut se casser facilement si un enfant grimpe dessus ou essaie de s’asseoir. Ce n’est pas aussi solide qu’un aquarium en verre. De plus, les reflets du plastique transparent ne permettent pas de voir nettement les hamsters, mais l’avantage c’est que les hamsters ne remarquent pas quand on les observe, ils ont un comportement plus naturel, courent et se deplacent sans crainte
Bought this for my granddaughter (well, for her hamster) and theres so much room in here compared to the standard little wire cages you see in pet shops. She’d been researching and begged me to get this over a ‘normal’ cage. This was a delayed Xmas present.
Note, theres a few little clips that this comes with for the top and sides and they are hard to find hidden in among the packaging originally thought theyd been missed off. They’d be better off in a small envelope or box so easier to see.

1un petit peu trop bas de plafond, lgrement. (C’est important car les lapins peuvent se cogner voir mourir quand le plafond est bas)
2une super amlioration serait la possibilit d’une ouverture devant, une porte grillage devant si possible car cela serait super pour pouvoir superposer voir autre … C’est mon avis personnel.
Autrement : super bien, livraison rapide (2j) bien protge, simple a monter juste un peu ‘technique’

my new syrian hamster really seems to love the cage! the tank style is great for deep bedding, and as long as you create a shallow part for the wheel there really isn’t any issue. if you can get creative you can create a really enriching enclosure for any hamster! spacious too at really the bare minimum requirements for a syrian! AND looks pretty! easy to assemble and clean too! 🙂

Love the cage, wasn’t keen on the price haha but I found Amazon was the cheapest. Came quick and was easy to assemble, easy to clean! I managed to come up with a diy idea to attach her bottle. I have a Roborovski dwarf hamster called Kiwi who greatly loves the cage! Large in size for a hamster, defo not recommend for a rabbit, way too small. Small bars as well which is fantastic as we have a cat & even though Kiwi is so small she doesn’t reach the time, no risk of escaping. Lots of room to give additional bedding to help her burrowing needs!

Most hamster cages on the market and sold online or in pet shops are in no way suitable for hamsters, and don’t come anywhere near the minimum size for hamsters (100cm x 50cm). Although often advertised for rabbits and guines pigs (it’s not big enough for them) this is great for hamsters. It fulfils the minimum size (although bigger is always better), the bar spacing on the top is small enough to prevent escapes for all sizes of hamster (from Roborovski to Syrian), and the lack of bars on the sides means you can build up the substrate to allow for digging (15cm is the minimum depth required – ideally much deeper). It’s just about tall enough to contain a 30cm wheel (the correct size for a Syrian), and there’s room for lots of enrichment, different substrates, a multi-chamber hide etc. It’s also a good price for what it is, and because it’s light, it’s easier to move around and clean. I have two of these for my rescue hamsters, one containing a Syrian, and the other containing a Russian dwarf. I also have a large glass tank containing a Russian dwarf, which is better in terms of allowing more depth for digging, but is impossible to move and much harder to clean. And I have a ZooZone 2, which is okay size-wise, but not as user friendly – it’s clunkier, more noisy to open etc (not good for the resident) and the top has to be meshed as the bars are too widely spaced (I use it as an emergency/hospital cage). On balance, of all the enclosures I have used, this Ferplast Maxi Multi Duna is the best, and the most practical to use. The only downsides are that it would be good if it was somewhat taller, to allow for deeper substrate; and if you have a hamster that particularly loves to chew, they have been known to chew their way out (although this hasn’t happened with mine). Also you need to protect any unused water bottle holes (there are two) as they allow a starting point for chewing, and some hamsters will immediately start chewing their way out; and you have to find a way to suspend the water bottle on the outside (I use small sticky hooks from B&Q). I would still recommend this enclosure though, as the best-sized, good-quality and practical enclosure for a happier hamster on the market, unless you start constructing your own custom-made enclosure or tank. If you care about your hamster’s quality of life, please ditch all the awful, inhumane cages you’ll find in any pet store and get this instead. (NB Plastic enclosures are not suitable for gerbils. I’m not sure about mice – please check with mouse experts!).
Unser Zwerghamster fhlt sich in diesem Kfig sehr wohl. Er kann toll eingerichtet und hoch eingestreut werden. Auch ein Laufrad hat super Platz. Wir hatten vorher einen Gitterkfig, das war eine Fehlentscheidung. Der Hamster begann zu klettern, was sehr gefhrlich war. Glcklicherweise nach langem Suchen habe ich diesen Kfig gefunden, er kam ohne Mngel bei mir in der Schweiz an, und das innerhalb eines Tages! Ideal als Alternative zum schweren Terrarium. Wrde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen und unbeschrnkt weiterempfehlen. Aufgrund der Grsse jedoch keinesfalls fr Kaninchen oder Meerschweinchen geeigne
This cage is massive, I bought it for my pet mice and they love it and all the space to run, hide and play. It’s very sturdy and easy clean.

I have a Syrian hamster in the cage and he loves it, so much space and room for deep enough bedding. But when I got it I didn’t know what the clips to secure the cage together were for so I just put them aside but I was now looking back at the reviews and saw the clips and what they were for so I went to look for them but cant find them and now I’m a bit worried the cage might just come apart, does anyone have any tips?

This cage is amazing for hamsters, you couldn’t house anything larger than a hamster such as guinea pigs and especially not rabbits as it’s way too small for them. My winter white absolutely loves it! Nice and sturdy plastic and very easy to clean. Only bad thing is that there’s 2 holes for water bottles but no way to attatch other than sticking which I didn’t want to do, so the water bottle balances between the wall and the cage to stay up, also would suggest blocking the other water hole which isn’t in use if your hamsters a chewer!
This cage is fantastic. Sadly it is a classic case of it being advertised for the wrong animal though – this cage is ideal for hamsters, NOT rabbits or guinea pigs.
It is roughly 760 square inches of floor space, which is a great size.
I use this cage for my roborovski hamster – it is big enough to give her multiple hides, a large sand dish, an 8inch wheel (could comfortably fit a 12 inch wheel for a syrian hamster as well), 6 inches + of bedding, as well as other enrichment.
It was easy to ensemble and is very easy to clean.
There are two holes on the side for water bottles. I use one for her bottle using Velcro to attach it to the side and covered the other with a carrot toy. You could probably get away with leaving these holes open for a Syrian hamster but for a dwarf I would fear them getting their head stuck if they tried to squeeze through.
The base is of a flexible sturdy plastic however the top is of a hard clear plastic which I feel would crack is enough pressure was applied so be careful.
Overall I’m over joyed with the cage and was happy to find it – my hamster is much much happier and more active in her larger enclosure (was previously in a Habitrail Ovo – which was far too small).
Really secure hamster cage with plenty of space. The deep base is perfect for putting in lots of bedding to burrow in. Our hamster loves his home!
Love the cage, bought as an upgrade for my Syrian girl, great size and I’m able to fit everything I need in for her. I can’t get the clips to secure shut on the base so I used some tape but honestly it probably doesn’t need it. I love the easy access on the top as I can do spot cleans without having to remove the full lid!
I have been worried all week about my maxi duna multy coming broke, but came really well packaged in two boxes and corners of cage protected and I am over the moon thank you amazon

Loved this for my 2 Russian Dwarf hamsters… lots of space / freedom for them to run around and explore. Super easy to clean too…. not like the hamster cages I’ve had in the past, where taking them apart and re-assembling them is a nightmare! Added several playthings, including a bridge, tunnel, maze and coconut “cave”. BUT it is being advertised as a rabbit / guinea pig home – and it’s definitely NOT large enough for this. Hamsters / gerbils / mice ONLY!!
I had four other cages for my lovely Syrian hamster before this one. She started biting bars and hurting her wee nose so I decided to get a no bar home for her. This cage is huge, she seems absolutely delighted to have so much space and depth to burrow. It’s very expensive but I’d get it again tomorrow for my lovely pal. Wasted time and money on other cages this is truly hamster heaven.
Easy to assemble, great size for our Syrian hamster, although because it’s meant for a rabbit, attaching the water bottle was hard as it is smaller, so couldn’t attach the metal to the holes at the top, so had to use Velcro dots on the outside to attach the water bottle
Der Kunststoffkfig ist sehr gut aufgebaut. Der rutschhemmende Boden kommt bei den Tieren gut an. Es ist ausreichend Platz vorhanden.
Leider war bei der Lieferung eine Bodenrippe angebrochen, diese mussten wir kleben.

Absolutely NOT big enough for a rabbit or a guinea pig but brilliant as a hamster cage. Fill the two water bottle holes with a water bottle on one side and a wooden carrot cage chew (the ones you screw tight through the bars) the other side. This really is a great size cage for a hamster which is easy to clean and good for interaction as the top opening is so big. Brilliant for hamsters !!!

Love this cage! A little expensive, but I guess it’s worth it. The square inch of this cage is 780/790sq inches for anyone wondering! It can fit a 10” wheel in but not with bedding, I put my wheel in the sand for my roborovski.
I love this cage and my Syrian hamster as well, it has plenty of space and is very beautiful. You can see you little friend very clear doing his/her activities.
It took a bit to figure out how to attach everything but it’s not impossible, people who commented that they couldn’t build it didn’t try hard enough, maybe some instructions would be helpful (?)

his cage is very good, has loads of space and my dwarf hamster has no problems with it. It’s a fantastic cage don’t get me wrong but i think it’s overpriced
Good sturdy cage, easy to clean and a good size for hamsters unlike most of the terrible cages found in pet shops (and some on here!) The cage however, is not big enough for any rabbit or guinea pig so please only buy this for small rodents!
The base of the cage is deep and allows 5 inches of bedding and the plastic top (instead of wire) means you can go even higher if you like. He absolutely loves burrowing so this is great. There are ridges along the bottom of the cage however, meaning if you’re placing certain things at the bottom there may be a gap between the actual side and the object if it’s higher than the ridge. This makes Mort think there’s a gap to explore and he ends up trying to dig his way into it.
The cage is tall enough for his wheel to fit fine (it’s 11 inches tall I believe), but there’s plastic pointing from the top that make it a bit awkward to place it wherever because it’ll scrape against it. Because I try keep his bedding is on the higher side it does make putting items on top of it a bit of a risk as recently he’s figured out if he stands on top of them he can reach and climb on the bars where he’ll eventually just drop off. I had to lower my bedding height to make up for this and he isn’t as happy about it.
There is a lot of space to fill up their cage though! Most of my accessories are on the bigger size but they all somehow fit with space for toys and him to run about. I wouldn’t say the exact measurements are exact for available fill space as the top is sloped and the bottom has ridges which again makes it a bit awkward to place objects in corners as he keeps trying to dig/squeeze between the gaps as it’s not straight.
Despite all the cons I’ve added along the pros, I do like this cage! It’s good quality, not a big hassle to clean, easy to assemble and it’s big! I’d say my main concern is I do wish it was taller and not sloped but I’d still definitely recommend it and Mort probably would too.

les mesures sont comme dcrites : 99X51X36 cm, bien mais attention toutefois car le plexiglass n’est pas souple, il peut se fissurer s’il y a un coup, s’il y a de la traction, ou si on force un peut, moins solide qu’une cage en mtal bien sur, mais l’avantage ne pas mettre du foin ou des copeaux de bois partout quand l’animal gratte, et il ne pourra pas ronger les barreaux… pour moins de 100, c’est un bon rapport qualit / prix.
Fantastic cage, little stuff to put together but after that first little thing it’s brilliant….. For a hamster. I would give this 5* if it was aimed at hamsters, but there is no way that this would be suitable for a rabbit or guinea pig. I have a 3m/o Syrian, he’s very calm, very quiet, and literally spends his entire waking time on his wheel or burrowing. This cage allows for a good 6-7 inches of substrate which is fine for burrowing hamsters, plenty room for toys, chews, water and food bowls, you can add a water bottle to the outside if you buy separately, I have a stand to allow for more depth. Has a massive multichambered hide and a large wheel, with bridges, extra hides, a sand bath and a see saw. (None of these come with the cage, the cage is literally all you get, but I preferred that) so there’s plenty of room for a happy hammy. The topside opening isn’t ideal but the fact that it is such a large opening makes it manageable, as you have enough space to change things or clean without taking it apart, and to interact without scaring your pet. I would maybe use this as a hospital cage or temp travel cage for a guinea or rabbit, not as a full time living space. Approx 770 sq inches of floor space so meets the minimum for those who’ve done their research. Overall very happy, but they need to change the animal they’ve marketed this to.

This cage is perfect for a Syrian hamster. Allows at least 6 inches of bedding and the base is deep enough for burrowing. It is also one of the few cages around that fits at 28cm wheel in which is needed for a Syrian. Bailey only moved into it today and seems to have settled already with no signs of stress. I have a happy little hamster now! Highly recommend this cage to all hamster owners
I bought this cage for my Syrian hamster after I was worried that he would hurt himself climbing in a metal cage. This cage looks good, tasteful colours and has a good size for a hamster. He’s been in this cage for 2 months now and there are no signs of chewing or any wear. However, the metal bar lid is not secured to the cage in any way (!) and could easily fall into the cage if you don’t place it very carefully. Also it is not easy to place any water bottles even though there are two holes provided for them. I opted to carefully wire a bottle to the side of the cage but I also bought another bottle with a stand for inside the cage.

This is perfect for Syrian hamsters! (Not for rabbits though, far too small for them) Just make sure you cover up the two holes on the cage (or just use two water bottles.) Package came in really good order, it is a bit tricky to attach the clips but it only took me 5 mins to put it all together. Word of warning though: This thing is HUGE!

So as many others have mentioned the first one delivered was damaged, it’s just not packed very well as once together seems pretty strong. Amazon replaced it within 2 days with a new one so can’t really complain. As for the cage it is great, nice and large for my daughters Syrian hamster loads of room for a big house, wheel, toys and tunnels. There is 2 holes for water bottles so I’ve blocked one with a gnaw to stop hamster chewing the edges. I would definitely recommend.

I have bought several cages for my sirian hamster and all of them i felt where too small i came across this cage and bought it and the size is the perfect size for her she has space to run around and play with her toys.
The cage is plastic which means she doesnt chew anything at night anymore. The product is pricy but i think its really worth the money i now have a happy hamster!

This cage has plenty of room for my syrian hamster and is easy to clean. As some of the other reviews say it’s a little difficult to assemble the lid but it still only took me about 15 minutes total to get it set up. The cage has two holes for water bottles so I would suggest if your hamster is a chewer (like mine) blocking the second hole up as the plastic appears to be a bit brittle. I blocked the hole with a wooden chew toy that is supposed to screw through the bars of a hamster cage but I managed to get it through the hole instead. I upped the floorspace in the cage with a platform from Rodipet and got a 27cm wooden wheel from Trixie (it luckily just fits) along with other toys and hideouts. She’s very happy and even though she was a rescue and quite nervous she settled in right away!
ideal cage for my robo hamster, roof means no escaping but also gives her more than enough space. Deep enough base to fill with bedding and generally very high quality. Perfect for my hamster but unsuitable for guinea pigs or rabbits as described.
Ive been using this cage for a little over a year now and want to leave a review as it is fantastic for a hamster! It is over the minimum suggested size (80x50cm) it has a 1cm bar gap meaning no meshing is involved and is an all round robust cage.
The deep base allows for a great amount of substrate and allows for appropriate sized wheels (28cm for my Syrian) It is easy to clean as it comes apart in 2 sections. It is a little pricey but is definitely worth the money! Personally I think this is the best cage for a hamster you can buy. 10/10 would buy agai
He has so much space compared to his former house (as you can see in the pictures, it was very small in comparison) , making him be more active, sleeping a bit less since he s climbing and running around, enjoying the roaming space (We took out the logs since he s too chubby to go through them now)
Its very tall so I can fit a wooden house with 2floors in there without it touching the top! His old home is a pet shop regular home and we ve been told he will need a bigger one since he ll grow and need more space.
It arrived very fast, gave it a wash before I added the bedding, no scratches, easy access, nice quality since its made to be less stiff!
Its perfect for our furry family member s needs. We re on the hunt for other fun things such as a hammock, so he would keep his floor space open.
I wanted to get this cage for my hamster to stop him from bar chewing and it is perfect. it is above minimum size and you can see your hamster very clearly. the colour is also nice and the cage has a much better look to it than bin or bar cages in my opinion. when I first got it, I found it quite confusing to put together, but if you look up the cage on youtube it will give you an idea of how to secure the lid. Not to mention that my hamster loves it, it fits all his things in perfectly. I would also recommend getting a water bottle that has a stand or can be secured inside the cage, however if you don’t have one there are holes on the sides which you can stick the water bottles through (I secured mine with tape but am looking into getting a new one)
This is the best hamster cage I have ever had. It’s has loads of room for your hamster to run around and what I like about it as well is how safe it is. The money I have spent on this cage was well worth it! It’s also easy to clean out to. More than impressed with it!.

Arrived in 1 piece. Great cage for dwarf hamster. I use this as a travel cage in a caravan for my dwarf hamster.
The cage also looks and feels really nice and blends in well with wood furniture. The base is also deep enough to be able to have a large amount of substrate for hamsters to burrow away!
100% would recommend, personally I would say the Ferplast Maxi Duna Multy is the best cage out there for hamsters!
This cage is amazing for my syrian hamster would say to small for rabbits or guineas but such a big adventurous space for a hamster the value is excellent well worth the 80 pounds that it costs and if I get a 2nd hammy I’d gladly pay this price again 🙂 if you love your hamster treat them to this perfect home 🙂

Amazing size, my Syrian has plenty of toys and room to explore. HOWEVER, he chewed one of the water bottle holes and it shattered the acrylic top… which looks a mess now (only just got it). So bare that in mind!!!
When delivered. It was left outside my house (extremely visible as the box is massive) and was drenched.
Bought this cage and had it shipped to Canada as the UK sells more suitable cages for small animals. Despite the distance the cage came intact, was relatively easy to put together, and is a great size. Very impressed and would definitely order another in the future.

My syrian hamster has been very happy in it. His 28cm wheel fitted just fine as did his large wooden sin rabbit house (which is way too small for any rabbit).
The cage is wonderfully easy to accees as the whole lid opens up. It is clear on the top half so easy to see your hamster. The bottom half is nice and deep and my hamster loved to burrow in the deep substrate that i have put in.
The lid was VERY difficult to clip into place but is fine once on.
This cage is much too small for a guinea pig (guinea pigs are best kept in same sex pairs as they are herd animals and need 149cm cages at least). As for rabbits … they require 6 foot by 2 foot hutches permanently attached to an 8 foot by 6 foot run. It would be cruel to put a rabbit in this cage.
It is great for hamsters of all species. It is easy to clean and is nice and draught free. It also looks good with a nice neutral coloured plastic base.
The bar spacing on the lid is well under 1cm and is fine for all species of hamster.

Lots of room for toys and the top bar spacing is less than 1cm. I found it pretty easy to put together, but after assembling the mamble 100, anything else is a breeze lol
First of all, this cage is absolutely massive. It’s about 100x50cm which is 800sq inches approximately, far above the RSPCA requirements for all Syrian, Chinese (who are not dwarves as they have a different genus) and Dwarf hamsters. Because of it’s large ground space though, it takes up LOTS of bedding – I used 20l of it!
The plastic used on this cage is rigid and durable, great for my hamster who likes to chew on anything in sight. She hasn’t even tried because it’s so big though with room to provide lots of enrichment :))))
I must say the lid had me pulling my hair out at times. You need LOTS of patience assembling this cage as our lid fell off twice. Once it’s on it stays on though, I’m not risking trying to take it off again! Same with the lid and the base, the clips were very stiff and cost me lots of time and the first layer of skin on my fingers! No way am I taking it off – the lid is big enough anyway 🙂
There are two water bottle holes in this cage so you will need either two bottles or something to cover one hole up! I recommend investing in some industrial strength Velcro to hold the water bottles in place – you can get a few strips of it for about 5 on EBay.
All in all this is an absolutely fantastic cage and I think you should definitely buy it if you can find it for a good price. I got mine used like new for 50 and it arrived immaculate, packages with lots and lots and lots of bubble wrap, polystyrene and corrugated cardboard! It retails here for around 85 at the moment which is way too expensive so I recommend getting it second hand.
Putting it together had me pulling out my hair at times. The top railing does clip in place (a previous review says it doesn’t) but there is a definite knack to it. Firstly ensure you have the bars so that the horizontal bars will be on the bottom of the lid when it is closed, then hold the bars so they are perpendicular to the cage (as if it was open, but upright), then it just clicks into place. For some reason it would not do it when I was trying to put it in flat… The side clips were also very difficult to get into place which is kinda good because it also means it will be difficult to be accidentally undone.
There is no water bottle with this cage but there are 2 bottle holes. Thank fully I had a spare rabbit waiter bottle and blocked the second hole with that before my hamster tried to eat her way out via the hole.
The size of this cage is just fantastic for the hamster to run around in (and the bars are only 1cm -or less- apart so perfect). She now has lots of room for all her toys, which the little monkey pushes underneath the bars so she can climb up and do her spider-hamster impression and climb on and swing from the bars. How she doesn’t hurt herself I will never know, but short of put nothing in the cage there is little I can do so I am trying to live with the fact that I have a dare-devil spider(man)-hamster.
I wouldn’t use this for a rabbit or a guinea pig

Ansonsten handelt es sich hierbei um ein wirkliches tolles Produkt zur Kleintierhaltung. Es ist sehr gut verarbeitet, stabil und kann auch ohne Probleme gereinigt werden. Ich habe es fr unter 50 bei den Warehousedeals erstanden – ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhltnis!
Sonst ist es auch relativ schwierig, an Kfige mit mit Ummantelung aus Plastik zu kommen, da man meistens nur noch Gitter als Ummantelung bekommt. Diese Firma ist mittlerweile die Einzige (nach meinem Kenntnisstand), die noch Kfige mit Plastik statt Gitter anbietet. Bei Gitter hat man den Vorteil der guten Belftung fr die Tiere, jedoch kann es vorkommen, dass das Tier aus den Schlitzen Heu, Streu etc. herauswirft. Deswegen haben wir uns fr diesen Kfig entschieden, damit wir nicht stndig den Boden subern mssen ^^
Um das Problem mit der Luft bin den Griff zu bekommen, kann man Lcher in die Plastikummantelung bohren, was einwandfrei funktioniert hat. Und das Meerschweinchen fhlt darin auch sichtlich wohl – das ist ja die Hauptsache 🙂
Beim Versand wurde der Kfig von DHL beschdigt (Karton war auch deformiert). Man konnte es jedoch durch Kleber wieder reparieren.

FAZIT: Klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn man nach einem Kfig mit Plastikummantelung sucht!
The cage is brilliant for a Syrian hamster. I would not use it for a Guinea Pig or Rabbit like it is marketed for though. Having owned both of these animals previously they need much more room and better ventilation. Unless you are only keeping them in here for a very short time I would not recommend it at all. For a hamster though, there is plenty of room. You can fit a 28cm (12 inch) wheel in here easily, just don’t make the substrate deep in that area. You can fit loads of toys, climbing things and houses and they still have loads of floor space to run around in as well. There is plenty of room to add an extra shelf/level if you want to. The wire bars on the top are about 1cm wide, enough to keep the hamster in and they can still monkey bar too. I had been looking for a cage this size for a while but all the wire spacing was too wide and I didn’t want to mesh it myself. This cage has 2 water bottle holes and this has been the only issue I encountered with this cage. You will either need to use 2 water bottles or block one hole up. I made the mistake of leaving the unused hole open and one of my Syrians got her nose in it and started chewing it and within a couple of days she had started to make a tiny hole in the plastic base. It’s now blocked with a massive wooden house so she can no longer get to it and she doesn’t even try. I was worried that they may try and chew the small plastic ledge that runs around the base on the inside of this cage. But neither of my hamsters have shown any interest in this at all. They don’t even attempt to chew the cage as they have plenty of wooden toys to chew instead. I have 2 Syrian hamsters in 2 separate cages and I cannot recommend this cage highly enough.
Now on to delivery! I ordered one for my female Syrian hamster and after reading reviews about broken cages I was a little apprehensive but went for it anyway. It arrived quickly, in a big box, packed with extra paper and it was fine, no problems at all. About a month later I got a rescue Syrian and ordered him one of these cages too, without hesitation. The packaging on that one was appalling, just wrapped in some really thin cardboard. Needless to say it was cracked and broken quite badly, so I returned it requesting a replacement. The damaged one was collected very promptly and free of charge, the only hassle was trying to wrap it back up again because the cardboard just kept ripping. Almost a week later the replacement turned up, in a box this time but it had come from Germany. I had higher hopes for this one making it in one piece but again, it was cracked badly down one of the corners of the lid. That was returned too, this time I requested a replacement on a Friday evening and it arrived very quickly, on the Monday. This 3rd one was the worst packaged of the lot, ripped and especially in one corner. However, when I opened this was I was very surprised to find it in pretty much perfect condition. There was only a tiny bit of one of tips the corners that had broken off. I glued it back on, it’s nothing that the hamster can get to anyway and even if I didn’t glue it the cage still would of been fine. I have ordered from Amazon for years and never had to return anything before now. I will pretty much say it’s just a matter of luck if you get this in one piece or not which isn’t really good enough! I expect that’s what puts a lot of people off buying this cage. It’s hard to find anywhere else, but if you do choose this as a hamster home you will not be disappointed! If you can find it in a shop and buy it in person I would say that’s probably a better option though!
Arrived with loads of extra paper packaging inside to avoid breakages. However, there was one small crack on the lid – not big enough to cause any problems though.
Plenty of space for my hamster’s toys and for him to run around in. I have also added a shelf from his previous cage as there is plenty room to do so.
I prefer the plastic sided cages so my hamster doesn’t chew the wire bars. As this cage is also big in height, my hamster has no chance of reaching the wire bars of the lid.
Overall, would definitely recommend for hamsters (not had any other animal in mine) – I love this cage (:
