Ottimo e fantastico supporto
Quick transfers
At first it seem a little hard to inser slides, but it gets easier and the transfers to SD card are quick and of decent quality.
Wollte meine alten Dias bzw.
Gert macht was es soll

Good enough if you have a large number to do. Some older slides may not be in good condition and remember that few cameras had the quality that we have available today. The 22mp is not worth using just stick to the lower setting.
Tried to use it for 8mm and 16mm film but in practice the magnification is not adequate to produce anything useable
Took a chance on this & I’m so glad I did.
I have been happily scanning our old 35mm slides & I am really pleased with the quality of the results.
Yes a tiny bit of the picture gets cropped off but it literally hasn’t spoilt any of my several thousand slides!
It is incredibly easy to use & I am very pleased indeed.
Word of advice – sort photos as you go rather than scan everything then sort!
Not tried negatives yet.
i purchased this model as i was very disappointed with a ‘cheaper item’. So far i am pleased and the equipment works producing good results. I have yet to use it for the main task so cant comment on its use for multiple scanning. It seems that you keep feeding the slides through the holder ie leaving it in position rather than removing it to re-load each time. Perhaps a note in the instructions would assist and clarify this. In conclusion i can endorse this product.
Grea
For a little thing it’s really good , it does the job really well , images came out great , no issue s
So you wanted to scan you old negs but on a budget, right? No problem, but don’t expect more than a 6×8”.
It is ridiculously quick to scan but I do get light leaking on the right of the neg in the form of an orange line. It’s not the most intuitive working out colour and I’m getting more joy using photoshop in post production.
If you have tons of negs to scan and don’t want to do anything too fancy with the images, as farmer hoggett once said, ‘that’ll do pig, that’ll do’.
Happy with produc
Picture quality good for good slides.
Some transparencies not of highest quality due to age
The instruction booklet was very poor, and being a technophobe I feared the worst. But although it took time, I eventually worked out how to use the scanner, and I’m pleased with my purchase. It’s easy and fast to operate, and the transfer of files to my PC (where I keep all my digital photos) is absolutely straightforward. You get some limited colour editing facilities with the scanner, but I have to edit the pictures on my PC with Photoshop Elements. This is necessary because a lot of my slides are old and the emulsion has sometimes deteriorated. It takes time, of course, but I’m really pleased with the results. All my lifetime memories are now indestructibly captured in digits!
I bought this to scan in mostly 35mm film negative. I had a collection of colour and black and white. I also had some 50mm square negatives and some slightly smaller negs such as 110. Here’s my verdict.
Most importantly and paramount to me is picture reproduction. This unit boasts 14mp sensor or CMOS and by default is set to the interpolation upscaling. I have not tried the raw 14mp setting so I am unsure whether or not this machine can do a better job than Photoshop or Corel when upscaling. So this review is based on all images upscaled.
Firstly I was happy with the general quality of 35mm reproduction. In the old days I developed my own B&W stuff and I don’t think you could get much better than this in quality for the price. Most of my images were taken with a Minolta and the standard kit lens was pretty average. So very happy with the results.
The scanner instantly shows you the positive on the screen so viewing is a doddle. Once loaded the negative can be scanned in 2 seconds per frame.
The bad points…
The loading bay is terrible slow and frustrating. Each film size has its own cassette. The smaller loaders like the 110 and 35mm simply sits in the slot and can move about with nothing to guide them so it’s all manual play to align the image. I’m okay with that. But the loader itself and the unit in general has flaws. Typically film is cut to about 6 images by default. So you slot the negative and place it in the slot. But when you try and slide the negative in the cassette it always catches the unit on the left side as there is a dip and the back lit unit is NOT flush. Sometimes the film feeds into the gap and gets trapped in most instances. How hard is it to make the lighting bed flush? This needs to be addressed, All negatives curl down in general so a ball ache aligning and feeding. Another issue is the cassettes are not exactly to the film size. As an example the 35mm image is cropped heavily. I understand why this is. It’s for those people who don’t have a package to do further work who expect an instant result. Like placing a frame on an oil painting you are going to loose some of the picture. For 35mm you could simply place the neg directly in the slot if it’s flat and you may get more image.
Colour reproduction.
By default the machine produces heavy saturated colours. This can be corrected on the machine using the plus and negative RGB setting scales. My first bunch of negatives I corrected in Photoshop. But then decided to do this on the machine instead for better results. There is no saturation setting but you can correct the exposure and cool or warm or correct those images taken under the good old fluorescent green cast lighting.
There are other features to this but the most important ones are colour or B&W setting, the B&W setting only gives one setting for correction and that’s exposure. Like taking a HDR image I suggest take a high exposure and a low exposure and work those high and low lights in a package if exposure has been compromised. There is a lot more scope today for image correction so it’s nice to see better results off old negs I could never correct without feathering tools on the old enlargers.
If you can put up with the loading issue the results are worth it. See my 35mm image I’m impressed with that 35mm reproduction.
Don’t spend this much money for a few films. I scanned about 500 shots and still think it’s pricey for those loading issues.
Photo digitise
I bought this to digitise all my old photos, it is compact and easy to use.
Looks and feels cheap but it works and works well at first i was dissapointed with the look and feel of it but after using it and seeing the results my mind has changed
I had looked into buying a hand held scanner for some time & it was between this one & the Kodak Scanza. In the end, I chose this one as I loved the funky green colour & more importantly, the viewing screen was bigger than the others under review.
The instructions arent too clear but the scanner is quite easy to fathom out after a few minutes of trial & error. I’ve scanned over 800 slides to date & I have hundreds if not thousands more to go & then negatives. Am really pleased with the images so far, some of these slides are quite old & of varying thicknesses! The only point,( which I’ve not really found to much of a hassles) is that instead of being able to feed the slides thru the holder, one after the other….I’ve had to remove the holder each time & reload it one at a time. This could well be that some of the thinner slides ‘sink into’ the slide holder & so when the next slide is inserted, it skims over the top of the previous slide. Have been very impressed with the quality of the colours & images & as yet, they have not been edited using the scanner….just saved ‘as is’ to the SD card.
Really useful bit of kit……just wished I’d not fiddled & faffed about for so long. Would recommend this product.
Oh my word!!!! I love you!!! I bought a viewer about 4 months ago! … And I was in years viewing pictures I had not seen for years!!! But heartbroken that I couldnt save the pictures!!
BUT WAIT!!!!!! I can with this .. thanks modern technology!!! 22mp too and it’s so easy to use too!!
Easy, great for archiving old neg and slide
Brilliant little scanner. Amateurish feel but for scanning old negatives of various sizes, slides etc it’s worth it. Easy to store and quick to clean.
Very easy to use with a variety of effective negative adaptors for different sizes. Picture quality and colour balance from negatives are reasonable, although the results benefit from subsequently being cleaned up in a photo editor. Overall I am delighted with the product. However scanning of transparencies has not been successful so far with very bad colour balance and exposure, and I have not found any way to improve this.
I’d been planning for years to digitise my old B&W and colour negatives from 1977 onwards so I decided to use the coronavirus lockdown to kick start the project. The reviews for this model looked good so I went ahead with the purchase. The scanner itself looks a bit cheap and cheerful but it’s easy to use and the results are way better than I expected. Most of the scans I’ve done so far have been with black and white negatives and only just a few colour negatives but I’m happy with both. I’m using a 16gb SD card in the scanner and then transfer the images to my Mac to rename them and get rid of scratches, dust marks etc using Photoshop. My opinion so far is that the scanner was well worth the money.
I had been paying to get my 35mm digitalised for a while, with this handy gadget I am able to do it myself, sometimes you Pat a fee to get photos that they either blurry or just blank photos but here you can select what to keep or not witouth having to pay.
Definitely worth the money and help out family and friends.
Really easy to use and compatible with windows and Mac.
No issues with it.
Overt very satisfied
I wanted a unit that would scan 126, 135 & 127 slides and not so much the Scanner’s film and negatives function
It is very fast to scan to its internal memory of 128mb or to an external SD card and you can view your scanned pictures on the screen. The screen produces a good quality picture.
I’m impressed how you can connect to a television to display the slides via the Scanner’s HDMI out. This makes it so much easier than using a projector and screen. Other scanner I looked at did not have this function which I think is such a big advantage to have.
The Scanner connects via USB to a computer allowing you to read the DCM files.
The quality of the Scanner’s display screen is more than adequate to view, and allows more than one person to view.
Regarding using this scanner for 127 film format, it is however a compromise. You do get the main part of the picture showing, but depending on the picture taken, it may work better if you rotate the picture through 90deg when pushing the slide into the unit. Save this picture, and then rotate the jpeg by 90deg. This work for me and I think a good compromise.
The instruction supplied are very basic and leaves many features that are available are not mentioned. It relies on the purchaser working things out. It is a shame the manufacturer did not produce a full user guide explaining all functionality available.
So some of the other editing things you can do is … Edit
RBG colours +/-
Rotate jpeg 90,180deg
Re save edits
Change resolution
Although expensive compared to others scanners, having a HDMI out is something other units do not have and the design and build are all good.
I’m more than happy with this purchase, it works well.
A GREAT BIT OF KIT
Wanted to scan some slides of my late fathers, this was easy to use and gave great results. Really pleased with my purchase. I now have them all uploaded digitally. You need a standard SD card to load the images onto. The scanning is quick and you can view the image so decide whether it is one you want to save.
I am scanning 50 plus years worth of slides from all around the world. The scanner is easy to set up and use thanks to the ‘English addition to the makers original user manual. It is a little slow in operation because you can only load one slide at a time. A longer lead on the power supply/USB cable would improve functionality.
This is a good and simple to use scanner. The illuminated display is a good size which is similar to a single slide viewer.
The slide holder is adequate but not perfect when using very old card board slides or newer plastic 35mm slides. All captured slides have the same date and it is not clear how to alter this in the manual.
Scanning quality is good and adequate for non commercial use.
