Found this very usefull for washing the car, lightweight and manouverable and easier than using my old hose which used to kink. Easily stored away without winding back on to a reel

I’ve had several of these expandable hoses. Each time the outer casing has worn which has allowed the centre core to stretch too far and split. This hose looks stronger. I wish the brass connectors were compatible with Hozelock type push fittings. Other than that product is looking good. Bit early yet for a fuller review.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI purchased the hose in August and was very pleased with it. It’s very lightweight to use, so doesn’t damage plants and the fact that it retracts when the water supply is turned off is a real bonus. The reason that I am writing this review though is the customer service from this company. I came to use it on Tuesday and found that there was a leak at the spray attachment end of the hose. I emailed the company and was asked to send a photograph which I did, late on Tuesday afternoon. On Thursday morning a replacement was delivered. I am so impressed by the customer service that I would not hesitate to order from this company again or to recommend them to others.

Have used this garden hose in a professional setting for a restaurant garden and now bought one for my grandma as it rarely tangles, isn’t too heavy and it just a good hose.

Best for a normal size garden – anything bigger you need to look at irrigation and heavy duty stuff but for watering pots and doing normal garden watering this is perfect. Rarely links and the extendable functionality is great as it fills with water – just remember to empty it after use!

Much nicer hose to have hanging near a front or back door. I bought the blac one. Much easier to manoeuvre while watering and when putting the hose back. Interesting how it gets longer while full of water. It was easy to assemble. Good hose piece too. Recommend.

Having had standard hosepipes for 40 years, I bought this via a recommendation. It’s now permanently attached to our outside tap and makes watering the flower tubs etc really simple – no lugging watering cans again. When you turn it off the hose shrinks back to unpressurised size. This is a very high quality piece of kit and worth every penny – just buy one !!

I ended up buying two, one for the front and one for the rear garden. It doesn’t leak like other expendable hoses due to the strong brass fitting for the tap and the spray head. It reaches a long eay so no need for extention like my old hose. Good buy all round and well worth the money.

Bought this on having a new lawn laid. A neighbour had recommended a similar one but was a bit expensive. Ordered the gold and black one as it was cheaper than other colours so paid under 40.
The hose itself works brilliantly. I’m so pleased with it, and it’s one of the most useful things I’ve bought.
I love the number of settings on the spray handle thingy too.
I’ve since ordered a sprinkler which attaches to the end of the hose pipe for my new lawn and it’s working perfectly. Very happy and would recommend. In fact, after seeing mine in action, my mother is now buying one.

This has solved our problems of the hose kinking and I am impressed with how easy it is to move around the garden and all is going well so far. There is one thing that I did not think of at all when ordering the colour. This may sound really strange but for me at first it was a real problem and I still get the shivers. I am totally frightened of snakes, I can’t even be near a rubber snake so this colour, orange and black, was not the best choice. When the hose fills and empties it moves and as my husband said it looks like a pit of snakes. At first I thought that I would not be able to get used to this but I have given myself a good talking to, but this is certainly something that I would not have thought of so if you have a phobia of snakes maybe choose the black as I am thinking that the movement would not be so obvious. It’s just a thought, possibly silly to some, but to anyone with a phobia that they could get around then this could be a problem. Bet the suppliers have never heard of this one before

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this hose 3 years ago and used it problem free on a daily basis during the summer months. It is lightweight and ideal for my large garden and it really does contract to a fraction of it’s length when you empty the water from it. The spray gun attachment works really well too. All in all I was super pleased with my purchase.

Absolutely couldn’t fault the hose at all, until last week it suddenly developed first one, then several pin hole leaks an inch or two below the tap end. The leaks were so severe it actually affected the water pressure and rendered the hose a pain to use. I remembered the hose came with a lifetime guarantee, and thinking it a bit of a long shot, I contacted the seller through Amazon explaining what had happened.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the seller replied instantly, I sent a couple of photos, and hey presto a brand new replacement hose arrived LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER!!! I kid you not, it was immediately exchanged without any quibble. I was out using my new hose today and it was fantastic. What an amazing product and quite honestly the best and swiftest customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Could not recommend enough. Just buy one with the confidence to know that they really do honour their lifetime guarantee!! You’ve got nothing to lose!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExpandable hoses are great if you need to be able to negotiate your hose round obstacles, and also allow you to have a long hose in use, but which shrinks to a short lightweight one for storage. Unfortunately, some have a relatively short life before they burst. This one seems to be of a much more robust construction, and comes complete with brass fittings. Time will tell, but so far I am very impressed with it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI purchased this hose for my elderly mother who has some mobility and dexterity issues. The hose is lightweight compared to others on the market and very easy to use. I set up the spray head attachment so the trigger is very easy to depress. ***one year on*** the hose sprung a pinprick leak close to the tap-head. I think it was just one of those rare occurrences. Although the hose was just out of warranty, I contacted the supplier and within days they replaced the unit without any fuss or issue. Outstanding customer service in my opinion and a reflection of the high regard they have for their customers (and products). Thank you.

I am now adding text to the above because the seller responded to my message to them very promptly and promised to send a replacement which should arrive this Saturday. The thing is, anything can go wrong but is is how that is dealt with which is important. My compliments to this supplier.

A wonderful long hose but the sprinkler head leaks where it meets the hose. Also the connector screws directly onto the tap as opposed to connecting making it less easy to remove – this is a minor problem. The sheer length makes up for everything.

Worth the money as a bit dearer than some others. The ‘head’ it comes with is excellent and the KINGLAKE Hose Pipe Holder Expandable Garden Hose Hanger is worth investing in as well (which does have screws and plugs I see a lot of people have asked).

Very good hose. 50ft in length Expands to 3 times the length. What it doesn’t say is that it’s 50ft after expansion and not long enough. Now have to buy extension or another hose!

Very happy with the quality I think it will last longer than previous ones that I have brought if you look after it.Only downside is that both ends are fixed so you cannot change fittings or just disconnect from the tap but having said that I just brought a second one for round the back.

I have used it once and it does what is supposed to do. It had to come through the house from the back where the tap was across the carpet in the sitting room so that it was very important that it did not leak.

i was a little disappointed that the advertising did not tell me the actual length of the hose, just 23 metres. was that extended or not?
It was not so it would help if the makers put both the normal length and the extended length on their advert.
I now need to get another as it is not long enough to cover my garden.

  54. Anonymous says:

I ordered this hose after getting sick of wrestling with a traditional hose reel for many years. I chose this one over other designs or off brand versions because of the overwhelming number of good reviews – and I was not disappointed!
Exactly as described, this hose is feels fairly robust and reaches the bottom of my garden. I ordered the 100ft hose for my ~100ft garden (wow!). The metal fixings look great and luckily fit my tap without any need for an adaptor. It expands as expected and so far has been excellent for watering my plants without all the hose reel drama!

My only criticism is that the supplied gun does feel very very cheap, but since this is “free” I’m not too worried about getting a replacement if it does give up.

I only hope that this hose lasts for a year or more, as some of the other reviews show burst fixings that worry me! Only time will tell, and I’ll try to update my review if anything happens.

Initially I ordered the wrong length (15m) flexi hose. I contacted supplier and was so impressed with their customer service and care. There were no issues with me returning my purchase. I went to drop off point, scanned QR code (that they’d sent me) and handed it and my flexi hose over the counter. Within an hour i had notification that the refund was back in my Amazon account.
I was then able to order the correct length flexi hose (30m) and it arrived within 24hrs and is exactly what I needed.
Its extremely light weight and as it expands to 3 times its original length when in use I’m able to reach around my gardens at the front and back of my house, and lastly, it’s very easy to store away as it takes up no room at all.

This is my second of these within 3 years, due to the inner lining parting & leaking. To be fair it might be partly my fault as I leave it out in all weathers & it was subjected to a lot of sun in the afternoon. The fittings it comes with on the discharging end are limited to a male stew connection for the gun – it would be helpful if a adaptors to allow the hoselock type of quick coupling could be used. Overall this hose has a nice flexible feel & is easy to use store & manoeuvre

  58. Helen Dickinson says:

It’s exactly like in the description and you get what you pay for.
It is dripping a tiny bit at the tap but I don’t mind.
Lightweight, expands to its final length in no time amd plenty of spray patterns. I use shower mode for the plants and vertical or horizontal for cleaning purposes, works.
The only downside is that the outer liner won’t stay as smooth when you have to drag the hose over a gravel path or stone tiles. Also it holds a massive amount of water after closing the tap. I fill my watering can with it to shrink the hose so I can roll it up and store in the shed.

  59. ClevelaLudwick says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

This is a great hose once you’ve mastered how to use it as it is a little different to the normal type. It’s very compact when collapsed and quite light. The only downside we have experienced is that the outside casing tends to ‘snag’ on less than smooth surfaces. Absolutey fine across a lawn for example but if a patio surface is not smooth it snags really easily. If you don’t cut the snags when you see them it snags even more easily the next time you use it. The photos show a few of these snags though maybe not too clearly, sorry.
We recommend the hose but advise people to fully consider the surfaces they might experience in their own usage situation.

    Great Light Hose

I have ordered this product as my last hose had holes everywhere and I was wasting a lot of water . This hose is life changing . Super light , meaning you can lift and bring it to another garden location for watering or power hosing . Super small – ( as for storage ) you can wrap and place in plastic container – the same size regular hose takes up so much space and always tangles – with this hose it never tanges and expands easily and effortlessly . The attachment for watering purpose is also very good quality , however if you are using the hose for power washer or any other purpose you will need to purchase additional attachments – all sold at amazon also and maybe purchase these at the time of hose , so you are all set up . You will need double female attachment or female to female hose attachment – make sure its connecting with each other and you will also need one male connector to screw in .

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis hose is excellent, bought for my small front garden after a longer one last year proved so good for the allotment. It has come through the winter left outside with no problems. The metal fittings are OK so far, altough for some reason fiddly to get on without leaks – but when they are on correctly, they don’t drip. Only thing I don’t like is that the spray supplied screws directly on to the end of the hose – fine unless you want to use something else like a wand for hanging baskets, or when the spray end packs in then it’s a terrible fiddle finding connections which work together to use different attachments. It can be done, but I had to use 3 separate bits to achieve this and there are too many opportunities for leaks. As supplied, it’s fine but the spray head doesn’t last as long as the hose…….

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHunted around for these, as lots get poor reviews.
We’ve had it a month and used it a lot so here are the good and bad.
OVERVIEW: I quite like it, but it will need care to make sure it lasts. I leave it looped over a large flat garden tool hook, so it doesn’t get tangled.

    FOR:
    Robust copper connectors
The hose itself is pretty tough.
Stretches well ( but see below) and retracts itself after use.
Sprayer has 6 different modes like misting etc.

    AGAINST:
-The hose lengthens when you first turn on the water supply, but as soon as you start spraying the strong elastic pulls it back. This means a 50m hose will be straining at 40m and pulling against the tap connector and the nozzle end, and the hose itself will be snagging on anything along its length.. so get one thats longer than you need.
Also it would be hard to use for a fixed sprinkler, as it pulls too much.

-Check which connector your hose comes with – ours only had one option, to screw straight onto external tap. We had to buy an adapter (about 5) so we could use it with hozelock connectors and easily move it from one garden tap to another.

    – The outer material is like a woven fabric ( to allow it to stretch) but this means it will snag on everything, and could poss get worn out more quickly that a coiled hard plastic hose.

  63. CarrolVdvsv says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

I wasn’t sure if this was all it seemed but thought I’d give it a go after having a traditional hose and the plastic reel holder eventually broke and corroded. Also it was always a pain to wind in every time as well as being heavy and got twisted and kinked all the time. The holder reel would topple over all the time also which was annoying.
My neighbour has a similar one to this but it’s more plasticky and doesn’t shrink like this one and I was worried this might be the same but no it it’s not.
I was really struck but how light and small this is.
It’s a made from sort of woven thread which is elasticated and hard wearing but soft also. Hard to describe.
I’m am totally in love with this hose! I got a holder which sits on the tap to store the hose on when not in use. Watering is now a pleasure and not a chore!
The only drawback is that Uighur need to turn off the tap when finished and then make sure you run all the water from the hose so it shrinks back down again but I don’t mind that. I turn it off a minute before I need to and let it flow out. I like how the fixings are metal. They are really solid and good quality. I’m so glad I bought this. It’s by far has exceeded my expectations and I wish I’d discovered this sooner. Worth the money I’d say. This seems to be very good quality.

Golden Review Award: 137 From Our UsersReally love the way this hose expands and uncoils when the water is turned on – a bit like staring into a snake pit.. The dog was fascinated. The first thing I noticed that the flow rate (pressure) at the end of the 100 foot hose is much higher that the conventional Gardenia (PVC?) hose pipe it replaced. The water comes out with more oompff. Very manageable and easy to pull about. Good fun to watch when you turn the supply off and let the pressure out as it shrinks back to size. It is pleasingly organic. When shrunk is much shorter and very flexible so easy and less coiling which saves time when putting away. Flexible in the cold too. Seems good quality and supplied with fittings. I like it.

Golden Review Award: 199 From Our UsersMuch better quality than the other Flexi hoses I’ve bought previously. Due to it being a much higher quality it is a bit heavier to pull out once the water is flowing. I would suggest getting the longer one than you think you’ll need. E.g. 100ft vs 75ft.
My neighbours son managed to break the hose after one use. I contacted the company to see if there was a way to fix it. I was extremely impressed that they sent me a new one straight away. Their lifetime guarantee is genuine. Even when it wasn’t their fault.

Golden Review Award: 399 From Our UsersI have spent a small fortune on these types of hoses over the last few years because the idea is brilliant, a hose that expands as you use it and stretches right round the house and contracts to a nice manageable space-saving size when not in use. All the ones I’ve had before have leaked at some point and eventually burst altogether. So far this one has none of those issues and I have been able to use it without getting myself drenched from head to toe as well ! The hose construction seems much more robust than the others and the brass fittings more secure than plastic ones; I particularly appreciate the inclusion of extra washers in the package.
My review will be updated if my opinion changes after using it some more, but for now this hose is highly recommended.
I had reason to contact customer service at one point and their response was immediate and more than satisfactory.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersThe hose seems to be suitably strong, and the ‘gun’ is certainly effective in all settings. It certainly suits the purpose for which I purchased it, though I did have to purchase different connectors as the ones attached to the hose were not the ones I required – for instance, I did not want a tap connector as I need to use it attached to another hosepipe. This may well be my own fault for not checking carefully enough, and the brass connectors do seem to be of a reasonable quality. If you are going to use it by itself, and attached directly to an outside tap then this would probably be instantly perfect for your needs. In my case, it just took a few days to get the connectors I needed to adapt it.

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersI am very pleased with my Flexihose. It arrived within two days, in a small lightweight box. The brass fitting are good quality and it fits on my outside tap with no leaks. I like the ‘shower head’ provided, it is easy to turn to the different settings, they are marked on the attachment so you know which one to select. The hose seems very durable and stretches a VERY long way. I have previously bought hozelock lightweight hoses but they kept breaking while in use, after three replacements I decided to look for an alternative. The Flexihose is very good value compared to the hozelock version and seems much better. Their customer service is very friendly and helpful, you get a personalised answer very quickly.
