Tolles Gert, Montage sehr einfach. Lieferung sehr schnell, Ware gut verpackt. Komisch fand ich, das es keinen Warenkarton in der Umverpackung gab. Allerdings wird dieser nicht bentigt – von daher alles gut. Weniger Verpackung, weniger Mll – prima! Anwendung easy, jederzeit wieder.

Leider gibt es nicht so viel Auswahl, wenn man das Teil ber den Winter einfach demontiert mchte und nicht jedesmal komplett mit Halterung von der Wand schrauben will. Und hier ist einer der, zumindest optischen, Schwachpunkte. Wenn der Schlauch eingerollt, aber voll Wasser ist, dann ist da schon etwas Gewicht drin. Und deswegen hat man den Eindruck, er hngt etwas schwer und leicht nach vorne geneigt in der auch nur aus Kunststoff bestehenden Halterung. Ob das langfristig hlt oder irgendwann bricht… Wir werden sehen.
A great help for watering
I purchased this item in replacement for another one which I returned. Absolutely brilliant with a very long hose and so easy to retract back into its base. I would recommend this, no more carrying heavy watering cans dependent on any hosepipe ban in your area of course!
Fantastic product.
It can be so difficult to rewind long hose pipes manually without getting kinks – and it can be hard work. This 30m reel assembly is just so easy and quick.

Aufbau ging ganz gut. Was uns gleich aufgefallen ist, da im Gehuse etwas klappert. Beim Schlauch ausziehen hrt man ein Rasseln. Da sonst alles funktioniert geht der Schlauchaufroller nicht zurck.
Hoffentlich bleibt es so und das Rasseln hat nicht doch eine Bedeutung.

A very good retractable reel, easy to fit and a good quality product. Unfortunately the first reel arrived with a damaged side cover, but I liked the reel so I order a replacement which was Ok. So much easier to use, the new patio prompted me to invest in a new much better retractable unit. Good choice

I bought this hose reel for my daughter as I thought it would be easier to use than a manual one. Also it is not as bulky as some other makes. She has only had it for a few weeks but so far it is working fine, very easy to pull out and retract when wanting to rewind. I fitted it on the wall but used a wooden batten to fix it against so that it has enough clearance against the wall to turn through 180 degrees.

The unit is quite heavy and the bolts for fixing it to a vertical surface are a bit awkward to drive in, so I have supported the unit on bricks as well to take some of the weight. But it still rotates enough to enable the hose to be taken out at an angle left or right. It has revolutionised our ability to water distant plants, and especially tubs. Strongly recommended.

Easy assembly . Gun is cheap plastic but work . Connection are tight and well fit . No leaks . Pipe is hard better then cheap one . Roller is working good so far . Maybe price should be lower a bit . You can find for this price better value product on sales .

– might need a bit more power to pull/unwind the hose because of the motor.

Recently done my garden up (partly). With a new lawn laid I knew I needed a easy to access yet time saving mechanism as I’ve been watering my grass twice per day.
I’m not the best with DIY, but attaching this with help from a drill and level it went on straight within minutes.
Hose extends and retracts very smoothly. I’m really pleased with my purchase.
Think of it like a measuring tape
The manufacturer gives a disclaimer of offering 180 degrees rotation if mounted on a post: why not just extend the mounting bracket to accommodate the width of the reel o a wall? Or at least offer an optional extension.
Otherwise, a good quality product which mounts easily and offers a convenient hose without the need to manually reel back in. This length of hose should give good reach for most domestic properties and the hose’s structure appears unlikely to spring leaks on being compressed by repeated rolling.

Good apart from the included wall plugs.
Don’t use the wall plugs that come with it, they are not fit for purpose, they just spin so screws won’t go in. Fortunately I had my own rawl plugs and installed without issue using them. Hose works as it should, didn’t have any issues with kinks as mentioned in other reviews. Just watered the gardens, one with the included spray gun and one attached to a sprinkler. So far happy with the hose reel.

This is a serious bit of kit. Well made and very sturdy, looks and feels like it’ll last for years and years. The unspooling/spooling mechanism works very well too. Highly recommended.

It was a bit difficult to get the pin out we had to use a hammer and pliers. Pretty easy to put on the wall.
Use two of these at our plant nursery. They work great. Had an issue with very high water pressure and hoses rupturing but that was remedied by a plumber and giraffe customer service!

This is everything I hoped it would be. It’s made such a difference. Less toil and tangle free. Takes the task out of watering both back and front gardens and is very compact. I love this retractable hose. Very sturdy casing and it folds flat. Would recommend.
Big, you need a special big masonry drill to fix it to the wall.
The required fixings needed a special big drill. And it does not store flat to the wall when not in use.

Retractable hose
It performs well, however the connections supplied could done to have bebeen a better quality as water from the tap leaks out onto the ground which is a waste, so I used Karcher fittings instead. Amazing result!
After 17 years of going through multiple hose reels and hoses in the brutal Arizona heat, we finally arrived at a clear winner in this Giraffe product. We bought the retractable hose for the front of the house and loved it so much, we bought a 2nd one for the back of our house. It is so easy to use and covers every area that needs to be watered by easily pulling the hose out and having it automatically retract when done using. Because the hose is fully protected from the heat of the sun, it is a sure winner for us.
We had a minor issue with one of the nozzles dripping a bit. I contacted Giraffe Customer Service and immediately got a response. They asked me to send pictures of the dripping which I did. I immediately heard back from Customer Service that they would be replacing the nozzle, without us having to return the defective one. We received the nozzle a few days later. We could not be happier with this product, the company, and their excellent Customer Service Dept. We highly recommend this product.

I’ve used the free standing hose reels for years and assumed they were all designed to make it as difficult as possible to reel the hose back in after use. They had tiny little plastic handles which required superhuman force to drag the hose back onto the reel. Was pleasantly surprised with how easy the Giraffe was to install. Nothing really to assemble and only a couple of holes to drill in the wall before its up and running. An absolute breeze to use and it reels itself back in after use! Should have bought this years ago. Love it. Get one.

Just 3 bolts and it was mounted onto the wall as solid as you like. All you need to do this is supplied.

Very fast rewind
This is a great product but be careful when rewinding it’s very fast and and cut my husbands finger quite badly,we have learnt now to hold the hose and let it rewind at your pace.also it does not do a180degree

Buy one! I’ve spent years messing about buying all sorts of hose pipes. I spent more time untangling then watering. I couldn’t bring myself to spend “big” on a hosepipe. I was making a schoolboy error!
This comes ready assembled. You just have to drill 3 holes in the wall to mount it.
It automatically recoils. With a simple tug the hose gets drawn back into the housing. Wow what a difference!

Very good love the almost 180 degrees of movement the auto retract for the hose my only 2 bad things are the hole guide in the manual is not to size almost 4mm off in the length and only other problem is the holes of the mounting screws are very tight to the frame have to force a socket over it or use an open ended spanne
Excellent product. Expensive but works really well and worth spending a bit more for it. Easy to mount on a wall and very secure. The return to the reel works smoothly coiling the pipe up inside the drum neatly. Pipe is also a good quality and it comes with a rose head attachments.
Only one minor point. When mounted on the wall it doesn’t quite swing through 180 degrees, more like 160 but not enough of a drawback to knock a star off!

The first reel I received was faulty. But an email to the seller was promptly answered and a replacement arranged because the reel has a 2 year guarantee. Great reel. Couldn’t bring myself to drill into my stone wall so I bought a piece of 24 inch by 24 inch by inch and a half blue stone and mounted a 4×4 to it using a post bracket. Works perfectly! This company stands behind their product. The first hose real I bought a year ago started to leak Doris had a new reel at my doorstep 2 days after I submitted the warranty claim. Fantastic customer service!

It is an improvement for me over a manual winding hose receptacle. I need the length of 90 ft to reach the patio where the flower pots are located. The nozzle with various spray functions is nice. You can set water pressure along with the shape of the spray and it maintains. The overall quality is good. I have not had it that long so it remains to be seen how it ages. Currently it presents, visually, as acceptable. It is on the large side so it takes some time to get used to it attached to that side of the house. Overall, I would purchase it again. I was desperate for a hose that would rewind automatically. I just did not bargain for the weight when unwinding....

Very easy to set up. I used tap cons instead of the anchors and lag bolts supplied. Just my personal preference for anchoring in masonry. Instructions mentioned a bag of spare parts and a bit. None came with the order. Impressed with the reel mechanism. Stops where you want it to and this reel has a level wind system to keep the hose from overlapping and jamming the reel. The supplied hose is adequate-not top of the line-but not cheap either. Good nozzle supplied with the order. Only issue I have is that the item is described as being capable of pivoting 180 degrees either direction. Not true to the side the leader hose connects to. Just happens to be the side I want to swing it to. Not a big deal-a few inched off the wall.
