excellent sound quality. the mic itself isn’t very good, though. after about a year and a half, it started randomly buzzing with loud static once in a while which became more frequent, around once every hour or two at most. after about 3 years, the battery life suddenly started shrinking rapidly. now they power off the instant i unplug them. sound quality is still good, even now, except for the static.

Absolut gute Kopfhrer.
Sonst gutes Produkt.

Awesome sound quality, 7.1 surround I mainly use for sound boost in Apex Legends. Battery lasts about 2 days of casual use at mid volume. Wireless range is almost over kill. I can walk around my entire house without it dropping connection. Also, the connection time is almost instant when I turn the headset on, so no waiting around and fooling with sound settings.

I wish this headset had blue tooth capability so i could connect my phone for music on the road, but it is best suited for gaming anyways.

Highly recommend this as a good upgrade for budget gamers, replaced my old turtle beach stealth 600 series. Huge improvement over those garbage turtle beaches.

Suenan bastante bien. Nunca he perdido conectividad en situaciones normales.

Have been using this headset for about a year now and it’s going great. This is my favorite headset. I’ve had soo many different headsets the past few years and I kind of hated them all until now. I love the sound quality and the quality of the headset itself. The wireless charging feature is pretty cool, after I’m done using them I just rest them on my wireless charger, no need to mess with wires. The mic I don’t have much to say about it because i don’t use it and have a separate mic that i use.

This is by far my favorite headset. Quality material and sounds are both great! The software for it is nice too because you can customize the buttons for controls.
Unfortunately like all techs that comes with rechargeable battery, the maximum battery life will diminish/less over time or it will die.
My headset lasted about 1 year and 10 months which is within the 2 year warranty period. Lucky me
Talked to HyperX costumer support and on the process of replacing my headset.

Perfect for gaming and good for music. Built in 7.1 surround sound actually performs very well and much better than other surround sound headphones I have used.
Comfortable for long gaming sessions and being wireless gives you that freedom to move around if needs be.

Despite having no actual Active Noise Cancellation, the headset has a good enough seal where you cannot hear anything going on around you with your game volume on even on low settings.

This headset has been good for not just Gaming, but also for voice chats and video calls. The microphone is decently sensitive with few peaking problems.

Overall, very good headset for a wide variety of uses. Only major flaw is it does not possess Bluetooth, it is a strictly wired or 2.4Ghz dongle on your compute

The headphones are amazing. I had to wear them for a day before I got used to them because I am used to just using earbuds. I took off a star because of the condition of the headphones I received. I paid $135+ for a “new, never been opened” pair of headphones. I could have opted for the $89+ “used” pair, but I didn’t trust the quality of a returned/used pair. The photos attached are what I received straight out of the shipping packaging. The seal of the headphones was cut open. Part of the material at the top of one of the ear pieces was pulling away from the plastic. There was dust on the top of the headphones, so I know they weren’t stored in the box. There was also a long, blonde hair stuck between the plastic on the same side that the material was pulling away.

It seems to work fine, but it should have been sold as used.

Received used pair instead of “new” condition I paid for.

It was definitely created for Microsoft drivers or something, Sony does not agree with this headset, it’s crackly, the mic monitoring doesn’t work, but on my PC it worked fine.

HyperX Cloud Flight S – Wireless Gaming Headset

Who is this headset for? Well people who want a clean desktop. I specifically bought this headset not for its Sound (more on that later) but for the Wireless charging capabilities.

Cord Cutters will love these headphones for that extra umph in a clutter free desk. I went to war on wires about 1 year ago. I have to say that these were perfect in my personal war against wires.

But god I do love the QI. It is freaking AWESOME just being able to sit them down on my charger without any additional wires, no plugging in, no fiddling around the direction of the usb, and all the while making my desk just a little bit cleaner. Speaking of USB it uses a standard micro USB port if you wish not to use the QI.

If you are looking at these headphones then you are definitely looking at the QI wireless charging feature. Having owned many QI devices since its infancy as you might guess I am a big QI fan. So i’ll say this once this is a very impressive cord cutting feature.

Construction is solid and the ear muffs are big and comfy. The fact that these are comfortable with the QI technology. Not heavy at all on the ears when the headset is positioned to your liking. It took me a couple of days to get the right feeling. For me the head part of the headset sits towards the front middle not middle or back of my head. For others that may vary. But the fact remaining with QI enabled on these babies is a God Sin. After two years of use you will see a little wear and tear but nothing to damaging.

The way they are weighted they stand on either side of the ear cups. However, only one side charges on any QI wireless pad that lies flat on a surface. In theory I guess you can use a vertical pad with them (at an angle) although I never tried it.

Now Sound. Now these are the only QI wireless that have 7.1 surround sound. I found another pair of QI headphones called KitSound. They were my second options but the 7.1 Ultimately swayed me to buy the HyperX Cloud.

Speaking of sound. I must confess these are my first 7.1 surround sound headset so I am basing my experience with plain own common sense. They sound great! HyperX software and they sound even better when playing games that they support. I.E Apex which is the game I play, Modern Warfare, Overwatch, PUBG, and others. Music sounds great , games like Forza, Final Fantasy, sounds great.

Software is something to be desired but totally functional and they update it from time to time. However, they sound great without the audio enhancements when using it as a stereo headset.

Headset controls are simple and easy to use. Software also allows you to remap the buttons with the headset to a certain degree. Remapping all 4 buttons was super useful.

Durability is good. Bought these in 2020 took a couple of basic falls and still kicking.

Ear cushions are big and comfy. Can get a little hot when gaming long sessions. A breather every now and then helps.

Listening to music through iTunes is not bad. Furthermore, using any software equalizer greatly improves the sound of these headphones when listening to music. I would say if you want pure enjoyment from the sound only you might want to look elsewhere. Noise cancellation is non-existent. However, if you want that QI function with some other cool functions in a good sounding pair of headphones then this is your Huckleberry.

This is an absolutely amazing earphone and it is worth every penny. I had some difficulty with it when I first got it and they have customer service on line that is standing by to help. It took them about 2 minutes to explain to me what I was doing wrong and fix the problem. It is very comfortable. I have never used a wireless earphone before and being able to turn, stand up or even walk around without having it pulled off my head is wonderful. I was forgetting I had it on when I had the old one and the difference is flabbergasting. I very highly recommend this product. Aside from the comfort, the sound quality is amazing.

I had the original Cloud Flight (no S) for a few years now, and they have been through a lot, but still work to this day. The only issues I had were the ear cup “skin” started peeling off (probably because of the hair stubble from my head) and recently the volume wheel has been bugging out. Volume goes up or down when scrolled up.

The sound Quality from the Flight S is noticeably better than the original, and it is a bit more comfortable on the head. As long as this one lasts just as long if not longer than the original, I would not recommend another head set to any one.

Great headset! I use for gaming and for work since I talk on the phone a lot using a program on the computer. Only complaint I have (could just be the headset I got, not necessarily every headset) is from time to time it will start making what I can only describe as a static clicking sound that lasts about 8-10 seconds. It goes away if I let it run its course or I turn the volume down and then back up. I am curious if I am able to exchange the item based off this defect. Other than that, great headset!

purchased these: Nov 12, 2020.

They worked great at first. Then I started to notice that the range didn’t see as good and I’d get random static. Then randomly the mic will unmute, or the feedback will stop working. I’ve even had the Surround sound stop working randomly. Tonight, my mic button stopped working. I used the software to try and change what each button does, thinking it was just that one button. However none of the buttons will work, no matter what I swap them to. Very disappointing that they don’t have a longer life.

Sound quality is also great. I’ve never been a huge audiophile so I’m a layman. Noise cancelling actually works to a degree. I can turn on my TV (low to medium volume, it’s literally just on for background noise for the dogs and flashy things in the background) and if I have a stream or game up I typically can’t hear the TV. If the game is low or off I can then hear the TV but it is maybe 30%. As a layman, could definitely hear a difference. Sound quality seems fine??? Things sound like they should, I don’t know how else to say it… I got these because they claimed 30 hour battery life, had wireless charging (gimmicky but I’m ok with it), and are wireless. Based on my whole experience, they are a solid 4/5. I don’t feel like I know enough about actual audio to be able to rate them 5/5. They sound great from what I’ve heard and because of the long battery life (they last all day for me, using them at least 15-17 hours a day) and they’re wireless, these are a solid buy. I got them for $117.79 before tax. Worth it for the battery life and wireless alone, in my opinion.

Bought this headset as my previous Corsair Void Wireless Headset battery was beginning to lose a lot of stored power.

Happy to say that this headset is better than expected and also has surprisingly good sound quality. I’m hearing stuff that my friends can’t hear in Valorant, although be aware this could make you paranoid. I mean, if they don’t hear the footstep you just heard, and you say there is someone behind or to the left, or Hookah or Heaven and they say how do you know, you think it might have been a sound all in your head.

But seriously, great headset all the same and worth the money.

Love this headset only thing is the buttons could be labelled, sometimes when I’m In Verdansk I’m trying to get those comms crisp in the ear and I may need to turn up the squadron I press the wrong button and it’s like every opposing player has dead silence and I get my cheeks slapped. But it is a comfy headset, mic is good and sound quality is decent when you don’t turn it down. It’s also Qi chargeable and it works but it’s a bit of a gimmick as you have to balance it on one cup.

Got them for 70 amazon warehouse and so pleased. Worked so well and such a lovely sound quality. Signal never cuts out no matter where I am in the house. Compared to my Arctic 7 wireless these are WAY better and if you want to use them on android devices, work perfectly with an OTG cable for 5 quid so can connect to more then just PC and PS4.

Overall I would say I’m pretty happy with these. They’re comfortable enough to keep on for multiple hours and also don’t push my tapers into my head. Battery life is great. Never had to even check if I have to charge them. Good sound quality after some tweaking***
***now for the cons. Wireless just isn’t as reliable to getting sound across compared to wired. So every once these will have scratchy noise for a couple seconds and then back to normal. Also I personally didn’t like the sound equalization (?) compared to my old headset (hyperx cloud) so I had to adjust each frequency in an EQ software. I use equalizer APO and PEACE if interested. Lastly, the 7.1 surround sound sounds tin canny to me. I’m not sure if that’s bc of these headsets or just 7.1 in general as I’ve never had a 7.1 headset before. But some games that I play don’t integrate 7.1 so I never use it on this headset and such is not a problem for me.

Conclusion: with some annoyances, you might find that this isn’t for you. If the cons I listed are big red flags for you then I would look for something else. But for me, it was an even toss up between wireless or reliable sound 24/7. And I didn’t want another wired headset and I’m a longtime fan of hyperx so these do the job for me.

I have to emphasize that before using these headphones I had been using HyperX Cloud II for approximately 5 years, which in my opinion is the best gaming headset of all time. I have tried the HyperX Cloud Revolver, SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless and the Sennheiser GSP 670 Wireless.

I have been using these headphones for about 1 month, since the first day it started to have audio issues where it would cut out for a couple seconds for no reason and also to audio distortion randomly for a couple seconds (that’s why I didn’t give them 5 stars). The audio quality is good but not perfect because of the NGENUITY application, why do I say this? Because the application does not have an EQ section to take the audio to the next level, because of that the 7.1 Surround Sound always has to be activated, if you do not activate it the sound will drop a lot. Due to all this my HyperX Cloud II sounds much better but by far and it is also more comfortable. In terms of comfort they are very comfortable, somewhat tight but they are fine.
For a whole month I have played for many-several hours these games using the HyperX Cloud Flight S, Call of Duty Warzone, Valorant, Apex Legends, League of Legends and Genshin Impact. No complaint using this headset in these games.

I am and always will be a big fan of HyperX, but I leave somewhat disappointed not because of the problem I had from the first day with them with the loss of sound or because I did not find a good wireless successor, but because my HyperX Cloud II are still better than the Flight S, it can’t be that after almost 7 years, the Cloud II are still the best gaming headphones on the market in my personal opinion.

The comfort was beyond amazing. I got this in an Amazon warehouse deal. Everything came clean and unused. All parts were intact. However, the main thing for which I ordered this didn’t meet my expectation – the sound output during gameplay. I use to play a lot of pubg mobile on pc through emulator, but this headset did not make the enemy footsteps as clear as it should have – which a normal stereo earphone actually does. The stereo sound separation was fine but the muffled footsteps actually confuse the directions from where it came when you switch the virtual 7.1 sound on. It’s worse during gameplay, so I would any day play with the feature turned off. However during watching movies/Netflix it shines, as it deepens the sound more and makes the sound stage wider. I can vouch for these 2 things totally – there is NO sound lag or latency at all and comfort is beyond amazing. Trust me, I have tried at least 5 headsets and then putting this one up at number one for comfort and long-hours gaming session. Sound quality could have been better, but occasionally I heard some jittery noise, like a buzz through the headset. Maybe that’s why it was returned to the warehouse on the first hand – might be an issue with this single unit!

Don’t let the Karen reviews here sway you away. This is one of the best headphones I’ve used till date and I have been competetively gaming for almost a decade now. Battery lasts so long I barely have to charge it (maybe once every 3 days). The bluetooth range is exceptional, and I have my headphones on even if I go downstairs and can still hear audio sometimes.

Cons; the fit is quite stiff, ears hurt after a few hours. Subtle white noise can be heard if there are too many bluetooth devices around (rarely though). Audio quality is sub-par if compared to something like the Bose QC35-II, but then again this was built for gaming not for listening to music so its an acceptable tradeoff. Mic quality sounds like a typical “gamer mic” but i dont use the mic anyway as i have a seperate microphone.

Aqui a vantagem so os botes personalizados…
O material e acabamento do mesmo no contexto geral est bom!

Full disclosure. I am returning this item, but not for its performance. They were just too tight for my head.

I actually ordered these for my son but they did not arrive in time for his birthday so I thought I might use them myself. We did get a set for him from another source, so the review is based on his experiences.

No cons we can find! Excellent sound quality. Really able to pick up little details and directional sources when gaming. Easy to sync up and ready to play. Mic is not professional quality but does the job when just talking in games or discord. When not using the mic, you easily have 30 hours of use between charges. Even when using the mic, no worries in using for an all day gaming session.

This headset is awesome, the sound is incredible. For gaming it’s much better than my Asus strix. You can hear enemies in more directions. The only downside is the battery doesn’t last as long as the asus.

I’ve been using this headset up to 15+/week for almost 4 months now and this is, by far, the best gaming headset I’ve tried. Granted, I haven’t tried many and the headset this replaced was an old Turtle Beach P11. The transition was like night and day.
I’m not sure why headset manufacturers don’t come up with a way to store the USB dongle on the headset so it won’t get misplaced. I move from computer to computer, depending on the day and on the game I’m playing. I came up with my own solution by applying a thin strip of Velcro to one side of the dongle and the other to the outside of the right ear muff. It works great!
I live in an apartment with concrete walls, so the wireless range for me is much shorter than advertised. The range would probably be longer if the signal was travelling through drywall or wood than cinder block.
I completely recommend this headset to anyone.

PROS: Excellent noise cancellation (it’s so good that I cannot hear my own voice at all, which is an awkward feeling for me), awesome sound quality, very comfortable (after breaking it in for a few weeks), great mic sound quality (or so I’ve been told by my gaming squad), adjustability, good battery life.

CONS: This headset fits rather tightly and I have large ears, so it was uncomfortable for a few weeks until they seemed to loosen up. Now I can go up to about 2 hours without having to adjust the headset around my ears. I wish the mic was able to plug into the right ear muff as well as the left, but that’s just a nitpicky thing for me. I know most/all headsets have the mic on the left, only.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersTL;DR: IMO, Overpriced at MSRP ($160) but decent buy at $120 (Amazon Sale price). The headset has decent build and sound quality.

Personally, I feel that this headset would be a 5/5, at $100 given its features, build & sound quality. Not quite a 5 star product at MSRP. I used these for about 6 months and plan to to continue using these until they break.

Sound quality:
This is very subjective and a can of worms I don’t really want to open. In short, it’s good not great. For reference: I enjoy Sony and Master & Dynamic sound signatures. My ideal signature is clear but without shrills and has good bass without being muddy and overwhelming. I’ve found the HyperX Cloud Flight S to sound decent, but slightly muffled/veiled in comparison to what I typically like. I prefer a sound signatures that follows some what closely to the Harman Curve. If you read Crinacle (In-Ear Fidelity), I generally agree with his opinions more often that not.

Microphone:
I can’t comment much on this as I use a dedicated microphone (Samson Q2U–which I have also reviewed on Amazon). I have used the Cloud Flight S mic maybe once or twice in the few months I’ve owned this headset and I had been told by others that my voice was clear but my breathing was also very loud. This may have just been the lack of adjustment of the mic. The microphone itself is pretty flexible and adjustable, though it does not retract into the headset itself. It is removable which is nice for those who have a dedicated mic.

Ear Cups:
Cushions are thick and reasonably comfortable. It does look a bit goofy on the head given how much width it adds and does feel a bit tight, warm and fatiguing over long sessions. One thing I noticed is that each pad has 4 holes that expose the red cushioning under the pleather wrapping (as shown in a picture). I’m not quite sure of the reasoning behind this (it was like this brand new). The cushions have outer flaps that are secured via tension but is easy to remove.

Wireless Charging / Charging:
Although some call this a gimmick, I call this the new standard. Given how many things people charge these days (laptops, tablets, phones, smart watches), placing the headset on a charging pad is a very nice touch. I purchased my first wireless qi chargers from Amazon years ago (Anker $10 puck like pad), and it works perfectly with this headset. Note that charging the headset does turn it off so its important to keep it topped off. It is a bit of bummer that it is micro USB instead of USB C but that’s not the end of the world. Note that wireless charging only works with the left ear cup and does make the outer part of the ear cup warm to the touch.

Software:
**It has been recently updated to run in the System Tray and no longer sits on the task bar**. Prior to this update, the NGENUITY software would have to stay minimized on the task bar in order for it to work. The NGENUITY software is simple and works fine for me, I don’t need cloud syncing like I have with Razer Synapse (which gives me more headaches than desired functionality). The application is also downloaded via the Microsoft Store which may be a downer for some who don’t like using it; however you do have the added peace of mind that Microsoft supposedly certifies the application (checks for viruses/malware and other issues with the app before it’s allowed to go live). The software allows you to adjust volume, microphone volume, mic monitoring (hear yourself talking into your mic), 7.1 mode, or game-chat balance. Game-chat balance appears to basically reduces game volume if you move the balance bar towards chat, and reduces voice chat volume as you move your game-chat balance bar towards game. As far as I can tell, it only works with external voice chat software (I used Discord), and likely doesn’t work for games with built-in voice chat.

Other notes:
– The 7.1 is basically a non-feature. Using it makes the headphones sound absolutely awful. Hopefully there’s a software update that allows you to rebind the dedicated 7.1 button to some other functionality. IMO, it is really bizzare that HyperX gave a dedicated hardware button to the (non)-functionality.
– Plastic looks cheap up close but decent from a distance. Feels a bit cheap when touched.
– Four buttons can be bound to headset functionality or multimedia functionality. The buttons themselves don’t feel particularly special (feels like pressing buttons on a microwave or dishwasher).
– The volume wheel is ratchetted and changes the volume by 2 units (out of 100 on Windows 10) for each ratchet. Note that the ratcheting mechanism has pretty low resistance and find myself turning more than I expected.
– Plugging in the USB receiver leaves an active sound device on your machine (exactly what I wanted). This means I can easily switch between the headphones and my speakers using hot keys with SoundSwitch. I do have to manually press the power button to turn on the headphones, but it beats having to deal with bluetooth pairing or dealing with cables.

Solid headset but overpriced at MSRP

Extremely comfrotable headphones, I have worn them for 3+ hours at a time with no discomfort. The audio quality is pretty good for the price and the 7.1 surround feature definitely adds to the gaming experience. It’s worth switching off the effect when listening to conventional music though as it sounds more artificial. The dedicated button on the headphones for 7.1 is really useful and the various button mapping options are good too. I have had no issues using the Ngenuity software to program these. I have also had no complaints for the microphone quality so overall a great pair of headphones.

Absolutely love these headphones great for gaming you can hear noises all around you. The comfort is really good had them on for hours without ears hurting. The only downside is charging cable is not that long so if your machine is on the floor you cannot charge whilst using.

I’ve been using these for over four months now. I do really like them, but I have a couple complaints.

Being able to walk around untethered while in chat is really nice. I can take a quick run to the kitchen to make food in between matches or while I’m just in a call with someone without any major interruptions.

There’s a power saving feature where it has to boost the signal after walking out of range of the computer and reconnect, which results in a few moments of lost audio. Minor issue though, as it no doubt leads to better battery life. Speaking of battery life, it’s great. The headset lasts a few days on each charge, and it gives an audio cue when the headset is getting low on charge.

First “complaint” is that sound quality is fine, but honestly I liked the sound on my Cloud II headset better. Not sure if it’s a hard limitation of wireless or if it’s the actual headset itself.

Second complaint is the clamping pressure. If I move my head it doesn’t hold on very tight. If I hold my head horizontal (so I’m looking at the floor or ceiling) the headset starts to slip off, so a lot of its grip comes from the bar at the top rather than the clamping of the cups. If you’re sensitive to clamping pressure, this may be a good thing, but for me it’s mostly just an annoyance.

Love the concept absolutely stunning design, only problem I had was all these YouTubers boasting up the quality of the headphones when you plug them in they connect flawlessly with windows 10 but when it comes to quality it’s muddy, bass has no ‘punch’ and sounds watered down and I was very disappointed, at least with a a flat EQ I downloaded

Equaliser APO

Worked like a charm just click hyper x cloud flight s game audio and click install

Every since I sorted my EQ out nice curve on the bass
Lifted the tops up a little and lowered the mids a little

Honestly beautiful sounds better than my Sol Republic studio quality headphones

If your considering buying these everything that is advertised is true so no complaints but all the videos on YouTube saying that they are good sounding out the box is a lie

P.S 7.1 button is just a marketing manuvere as soon as its on its slightly more precise but not really noticeable at the price of audio quality as it’s virtual 7.1

Basically 7.1 makes them sound garbage like a loudspeaker on a phone call

The software to reprogram the buttons has to be open at all times if you want to use the buttons you have remapped closing the software from you taskbar will reset them back to default config until you reopen and it cannot be a background process it has to be a minimized window

Overall great headphones charges fast on a 10w Anker Powerpad

Summary: deep bass down to 10hz (sub-bass of human ear) but needs a equaliser to give it the oomph it needs

7.1 is a useless gimmick will never turn it on for the trade off on quality (stereo surround is built into games anyway)

Wireless connection is flawless I can go for a smoke in the back garden and still be in discord with my mates 10m away throught brick wall

2.4ghz is 10x better than bluetooth so connectivity is not an issue with these

If you want these for gaming only then they are a go to pair but if you want music consider downloading Equaliser APO as you install and setup once and it doesn’t even load up on startup it’s just “buried into the headsets driver” is the best way I can explain it so it’s seamless once setup

9/10

What can I say…I am totally blown away by these cans!! I had the Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless Gaming Headset for almost three years; they finally gave up the ghost. I wanted a more substantial set of phones and man O’ man do these things fit the bill!!

Plug and play right out of the box; both chat and game devices setup themselves just by plugging in the dongle.
The installed HyperX software instantly detected a firmware update, downloaded and applied it.

The 7.1 surround was unreal!! I thought I knew what Battlefield 5 was supposed to sound like, but the Corsair doesn’t even compare. Could hear enemies above, below, and behind; I could VERY accurately pinpoint enemies by their footsteps and vehicles as well.

Chat and game volumes were pretty spot on right from the start…I didn’t change them at all.
Battery level out of the but was @ 73%…after gaming for 2.5 hours was….73%. Unreal.

I would HIGHTLY recommend this headset. A little bit pricey, but you’ll get every penny out of these babies!!!

Can’t really fault this headset. Good fit good sound good battery. It’s a bit heavy compared to my last headset (Arctis 7). My only annoyance is the buttons, when pushing them in your also pushing the ear cushion. Another one is the annoying software which is buggy as well even after updating them. You don’t need the software but it is needed for some functions. It’s got wireless charging but I find it a gimmick.

5 star update – software has been updated and is no longer annoying. Headset is still going strong and the reprlgramable buttons are fun to use again with your favourite media player.

Mic is clean and removable 😀
Tactile buttons are nice, although the 7.1 surround sound button is useless I doubt you’ll like it.

These headphones are number 1 in my opinion for best price to comfort in terms of it being wireless, and it having the extremely comfortable foam. It is definitely on the tighter side of headphones where it squeezes your head, but it won’t be a problem anymore after the first day of wearing them because the headphones stretch to the perfect length of your head which is pretty great. If you are very prone to headaches and migrants due to sunglasses, or hats, or just in general, you should look into other headphones unless you think it shouldn’t be problematic. It’s sound quality is pretty good as well as its microphone quality compared to most headphones including the fact that it’s wireless which is pretty great. Some people might not like that it doesn’t have rgb on the sides illuminating the HyperX logo unlike its inferior model, the cloud flight but honestly, I don’t like rgb it’s just unneeded. Overall I would give these headphones an 8.1/10 but price to performance wise, 10/10

I use headsets to wear all day at work for customer calls, and then at home for gaming and videos. I wanted wireless as I have broken so many USB ports with snagging cables.

I bought the HyperX after buying two Corsair wireless headsets. I’m so happy with this headset, it’s the only headset that I’ve truly never lost wireless signal to. The battery lasts ages, if I spend all day on calls for work, and then gaming until late, the headset will have around 70% battery power remaining. My Corsair headsets would have ran out long before then.

Best headset I have ever purchased. Battery life last more than 30 hours no question. I work full time and often game 1-3 hours nightly and 4-6 hours on the weekends, 1 charge lasts over a weeks worth of playing for me, and charging is very quick. Just leave plugged in one night and you’re good to go. Would highly recommend worth every penny. Also if you can afford I recommend getting hyped X charging pad to go with. Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI spent legit hours trying to find a headset that could replace my ancient G930s. The things I wanted seemed to never work together. After much agonizing I got this and could not be more pleased.

Pros:
7.1 surround sound – I love the sound. I also love that I can turn off this feature while chatting with friends to extend battery life. Legit the best of both worlds.

Battery life – While the battery life does go down when using the surround sound it’s never been less than 10 hours

Wireless distance – It makes it to the sink so I can listen while washing dishes. That’s the other end of the house, which is exactly what I wanted. It also goes down a lot farther than my last one did, I never have issues when my computer is on the second floor and I’m rummaging for things in the basement.

Fit – My head is giant. Like 23″. This fits without issue. The cups happily fit over my ears and I can comfortably wear it for many hours at a time while gaming or chatting. (For comparison my SO has the SteelSeries Arctis Pro and I can’t wear that for more than 10 minutes. It squeezes my head and gives me a headache immediately. Despite the SOs head being smaller he can adjust and wear these without issue.)

Cons:
The microphone doesn’t flip up – Which means it’s often in the way, particularly when eating. I end up unplugging it on the regular then finding it in random places throughout the house.

I’ll be sticking with these for a long time, and recommend them to everyone, particularly if you like listening to music!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a good headset. However, for the price of 160$ I would say its overpriced. I got mine because I had an amazon gift card I found and was like what the heck. After reading all of the reviews I almost didn’t get this headset. Let me try to help someone who might be in my situation where the reviews might make you hesitant on getting this headset. I will admit that it’s a little over priced for what you get, but you do get a quality headset. Now, I am speaking specifically for gaming and nothing else. If you want to use this headset for something else then don’t get it, but its great for gaming.

Some people had trouble getting the headset to be recognized by the hyperX software. I didn’t have this issue, so I’m assuming people who had this issue either have a mac or some shit box computer that doesn’t work half the time. Mine worked perfectly right when I got the program and didn’t even have to plug the headset in for it to link and recognizer my headset.

Some people are complaining about the 7.1 surround sound being bad. These people must have never ever used a 7.1 surround sound headset for gaming. It basically makes the game extremely loud and removes all base. This is standard. If you like to use it for hearing footsteps and what not in games like tarkov or any shooter really then it sounds fine. Yes, when you shoot your ear drums will pay for it but that’s how 7.1 works unless you want to customize your settings.

Generally this headset is fine for gaming right out of the box and will do just what most gamers need. The battery life is very nice and the headset feels good (earpieces are nice and soft). MY HEAD IS NORMAL SIZED SO I CAN’T SPEAK FOR ALL THE SLOTHS OUT THERE WHO HAD TROULBE GETTING THIS ON THEIR HEAD.

Overpriced at 160$ but if you have an excuse or a little extra money or they go on sale they’re a quality headset.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHallo,

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIntentar ser breve para explicar lo que para mi era lo que ms buscaba en unos cascos inalmbricos y mi experiencia con ellos enumerando pros y contras.

PROS:

-rotella per il controllo di voume di sistema (padiglione destro);
-pulsante di accensione, spegnimento e sincronizzazione caratterizzato da led verde ad intermittenza (padiglione sinistro);
-pulsante per attivare o disattivare il virtual surround 7.1 (padiglione sinistro);
-ingresso micro-usb per la ricarica delle cuffie (padiglione sinistro);
-ingresso jack 3,5 mm per il microfono rimovibile (padiglione sinistro);

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAlthough this is a gaming headset it’s really not what I bought it for. The wireless charging won me over, Already having a phone and tablet and various wireless charging pads when my Corsair H70 headset stopped charging I thought why not, one less cable cluttering up the place. It’s rather an expensive headset certainly compared to my Corsair H70 which was about half the price.

I primarily use the headset for work making Teams calls and listening to music, I do play games occasionally but wasn’t particularly in need of surround sound and so haven’t tested this. What I can say though is the sound quality for listening to music superb, the clarity is excellent, the bass is good and separation spot on.

I don’t understand the review saying these don’t go loud I can only assume that person has hearing difficulties, I’m sat listening to Wonderwall as I type this with the volume set at 6 of 100 and it’s a nice comfortable level for me, I can’t imaging a scenario when I would want to crank this up to 100 unless I decided I no longer needed eardrums.

Lack of up to date USB C connection is a little disappointing but I don’t ever plan on charging these with a cable anyway and not sure why you would either if you are paying 150 for a headset with wireless charging and with a 30 hour battery life running out of power shouldn’t be an issue. Similarly don’t understand the criticism of lack of a 3.5mm jack on a wireless headset, I’ve never owned a wireless headset with one nor would I want one.

Some reviews are critical of the microphone, but it works fine for me, call quality has been good so far and having tested recording and playback I have no complaints, I won’t be using it to record my next album, but then that’s not what this headset is for.

The headset looks and feels good quality, and it’s light enough and comfortable to wear. The only slight criticism I have of this headset is coming from the H70 it doesn’t feel as robust, the H70 had metal arms and headband core whereas the Hyper X is all plastic, it’s not flimsy but I can see the swiveling ear pieces being a potential weak point.

All right so this is the thing. Right now i barely used the headphones, but for now i like very much this headphones. I wanted these or any razer headset, but razer do not have wireless headsets.

The noise cancelation on this headset is excelent. When im listening something on the PC, I dont hear nobody from outside of it. The sound quality is really good as well. The 7.1 is noticeable, but remember that these are headsets, not a movie theater so do not expect something unreal. You can use them without the hyperx software, but If you want to use the profile settings feature you will need to download it. I barely use the headset so I don’t know how much the batery last, but I bought the wireless charger from hyperx that these headphones promote to buy and is pretty decent.

Over all. If you want a really good pair of headset with good noise cancellation and sound quality. These might be your headset. Please remember something, the microphone on headsets will never be the same as an external microphone. I have the hyperx quadcast so never use the microphone that comes with it. You also needs to be really careful with these, they seems fragil everytime they move because the magnetic pins they have and I feel that one day these will break because of that. They do not provide a pop filter for the microphone. They do not provide any case for the headset, but over all; If you take care of them, they will take care of you.

I don’t know why people are complaining about the loudness. I can only have them between 20-30 % before being deafened. Range is amazing. I don’t lose connection on any of my 3 floors. Battery amazing, 3 days us and still got plenty of battery. Sound is great but the 7.1 is useless. Stereo very good.

Con, and I might send them back because it is a big one. I can hear static and crackling all the time. Tried everything. I work in IT and I can’t fix it. Read it’s common with these. It’s very annoying!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI hear you creeping up on me! I hear those footsteps!

The headphones are comfortable, I wear them for hours without a major issue. Your ears could get a bit hot, but it isn’t offputting. Maybe need a 5 minute break from wearing them. Only issue with the head-set is I wish you could control the auto-turn off feature. Yes, its design is to save battery life, but often while i’m surfing the web, the headphones shut off if it doesn’t detect sound. I think it defaults to 15 minutes, I would like to set this to 30 minutes. Or at least give me the option.

I also use this with the wireless charger. Which can be a pain to line up the headset with the charger. I wrote that on another review. Just FYI in case you are thinking of getting the mouse/headset charger. Finding the correct “spot” where the headset and the charger link can literally take 1 full minute of you moving the headset around to find that sweet spot.

I have issues with many headphones because the circumaural headsets dont give enough cushion and therefore squish my ears. This is detrimental to multiple hours of PC gameplay. I had done lots of research and eventually decided to try this headset based on the multiple reviews. I was a bit skeptical as the ear covers didnt look too deep, but figured i would try. I was not disappointed.

Product Quality
I am very impressed with the quality of the headset as well as the comfort level and the noise cancellation is great. My kids are in the same room talking to me and I can tone them out…lol. It is very comfortable on my head and doesn’t really have much fatigue at all. After a few hours of play, I do have to slightly readjust the ear cups. It also doesn’t help that I wear glasses.

Features
The detachable mic is good and bad in my opinion. I was used to my immersa Pro Ti headset which had a retractable mic. I liked that because it was always attached. This one uses a 1/4″ jack and to its credit, it works very well. the annoying part is that typically, i dont have it attached, so when i need it, I have to find it on my desk, plug it in and then go. (first world struggles). The buttons on the side are neither here nor there for me. I honestly dont use them. I primarily use these for gaming…I am a bit surprised they did not go with USBC adapter, instead it is a dated MicroUSB interface for the charger. That is another feature (almost standard at this point, but still worth noting), you can use the headset while it is plugged in charging, so if you do run out of battery (I have played over 8 hours and the battery was still going).

Software
The HyperX Ngenuity software is mostly good. It is a bit annoying if you only have one product when you startup the software doesn’t automatically select the headset. You have to manually select your product, then you get to the settings. The settings in the software are pretty intuitive.

Overall Rating
All in all, I would most certainly recommend these headphones for anyone wanting wireless, noise-cancelling, 7.1 surround, comfortable headphones at a reasonable price.

so the important features i was looking for was a wireless headset with a great stereo sound quality, amazing battery life, light weight and as little cables as possible this headset was perfect for what i was looking for.

things i missed from my last headset moving to this one, the immersiveness of the 7.1 surround sound (buying Dolby Atmos fixed this) and the lack of having multiple devices at once which is unfortunate

the battery life and wireless charge time are 2 things that really surprised me and makes this product ideal for me, the earcups could be bigger if you are coming from logitech but in general they have a decent size and are very comfortable, just takes some adjustment and the mic quality is definitely an improvement.

if you are hesitating on the headset, if you want a solid truely wireless experience (once you get a wirelesss charger)

At first I thought the sound quality was terrible. However… after reading another review on here I followed the advice and installed Equalizer APO and followed the steps they suggested, (not sure if there’s a solution for PS4?) they now sound amazing! I’m not sure why HyperX didn’t factory calibrate them like this?

7.1 is still good for games. A Plague Tail for example really benefits. But as suggested elsewhere, it’s not great for music.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo I upgraded from a HyperX Cloud Revolver to these (after upgrading from my HyperX Cloud II’s, notice a trend) and they absolutely do not disappoint! My main concern with any form of headset or headphones is comfort and these are perfect for me. I was a little concerned when I unboxed them that the ear cups looked smaller than what I was used to but they give me a really good snug fit which I can wear for hours with no issues.

Sound quality is fantastic, if a little quieter than anything I’ve used previously, and I’ve noticed absolutely no delay between visuals and sound.

Set up was a breeze, it was literally plug and play, and they headset came with about 80% charge.

As you would expect the wireless charging is a fantastic feature, not only do you have one less wire with using a wireless headset, but then to not have to mess around with a wire to charge it is great. You can get the proprietary charging mat which will charge 2 devices (and is not badly priced actually), but I went with an Anker Qi charging mat which works perfectly.

The software that is used to remap the side buttons works, it is a little clunky but it is in Beta at the moment so will hopefully get better.

If you are looking for a wireless headset at this price point I don’t actually think you can do any better.

This is a high quality gaming headset with USB dongle for wireless connection to a PC or PS4. It is one of 4 HyperX headset variants available, distinguisable by intended use and components e.g. keyboard, mouse, bluetooth, wired connections.

This model boasts a long-lasting battery life via a 5v USB charging lead (supplied) and capability for Q1 wireless charging (sold separately). It has a master on/off button, a wheeled volume control, switchable 7.1 surround sound, four left earpad soft buttons to control microphone monitoring, mic on/off status and adjustable mix of game/chat balance and a detachable bendable stalk microphone with an inclusive red LED mute indicator.

The headset is comfortable, and the 90 degree rotation of earpads is welcome. The audio quality is excellent and the volume very controllable. The 7.1 surround sound quality was particularly impressive. Audio/video sync using Youtube seemed fine.

Windows 10 provides access to adjustable settings for the HyperX microphone and speakers independent of the headset controls. Although some reviewers have criticised the maximum volume achievable with this headset I found no limitation in the available range.

Free online HyperX NGENUITY software for Windows 10 /Xbox One is available to customize EQ profiles, check battery status and reprogramme earpad buttons.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter using the HyperX Stinger headset, I was looking forward to giving this one a try as it looked much better.

What you’ll notice when you first open the box is – this is not like your typical headset.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the way it connects to your console is through the USB receiver. There is no Bluetooth capability nor is there an option to turn this into a wired headset.

It comes with a detachable microphone which is flexible. According to my friends, my voice sounds clear when using this so that’s a win.

To connect this to your console, plug in the USB receiver – it will start to blink. Press the power button on the headset and once both the LED’s on the receiver and the headset are solid, it means that it is connected.
For someone with a PS4, head to the Audio Device settings and select the headset as both the input and output device and away you go.

This has controls on the side of the earcup which if using the NGenuity app on PC. They can be customised to those who don’t like the defaults.
The NGenuity app can be used to change the RGB lighting and much more so worth the download there.

Quality is decent, not the best but not the worst. It was somewhat quiet before turning on the 7.1 surround sound. Even with a better volume output, I don’t think the quality was as good as the Stinger.

Comfort wise, definitely much more comfortable than the Stinger. It looks less chunky and the earcups can rotate which is better to keep around the neck.

Battery life is good, it’ll last a fair bit of time but for those gamers who play hours upon hours, this will need recharging pretty soon. It charges through the micro-USB port (cable is provided and a decent length).

All in all, it looks good and the microphone quality is great. Only let down is the initial sound quality without the 7.1 surround sound – I feel that there are plenty of lower value headsets that can easily give this a run for the money in sound.

Sounds amazing!

First of all, it is very comfortable for my larger than average head, better than my previous SteelSeries lowest end model (which is very nice for long hours of wearing), and much better than SteelSeries Arctic 7 2019 model, which I returned after only 30 seconds of wearing. After all, no matter how wonderful a headset looks, comfort is always number one factor.

**Build quality**
The product looks very well built. Even the surface is all plastic, the matte finish feels of high quality. You won’t feel anything bad about how it looks and feels.

**Wireless**
I want go wireless for headset and mouse, so lacking of 3.5mm input is not a problem for me.
One thing you may need to know is that, since I want to switch between PS4 Pro and PC, I bought a USB switcher and hoped I can push one button to switch, and avoid plugging out/in between PS4 Pro and PC. However, there is some compatibility issue for the switcher to work with the USB dongle. Switching from PS4 Pro to PC is fine. Switching from PC to PS4 Pro does not work, I will still have to plug out and in to make the PS4 Pro recognize the dongle.

**Sound Quality**
I use this for gaming and general PC listening (youtube, streaming etc.), thus I don’t have any expectation on sound quality other than good gaming experience. For that task it works as expected.

**Operation**
Volume knob resistance is fine, though I hope it could be a little larger.
The four buttons on the left side works quite good. I set them as 1. Pause/Play, 2. Mic Volume up, 3, Mic Volume down, 4. Mic Mute. Very handy.

**Wireless Charging**
This one I met some problem. I didn’t buy the HyperX Qi Charger, instead I tried 3 difference Qi compatible wireless chargers, one of which is the high quality Huawei 27W model, which is the fasted one on the market. They can all charge the Flight S, however, none of them can automatically stop charging after the headset is fully charged (the headset is still hot even when it reaches 100% after 1 hour). Frustrating, because I so wanted to use the wireless charging feature. I plan to buy the HyperX Qi charger when there is a good price. But I wonder whether the “official” wireless charger will behave just like others. – If any of you had the chance to test the HyperX Qi charger with the Flight S, please share with me the result. Thanks!

Overall it is a very satisfying product for me. I won’t be looking at other headsets for quite some time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI think this Cloud Flight S headset is an excellent bit of kit and the perfect accessory for gaming. It comes delivered in a nicely presented retail box and with the headset you get a detachable microphone, wireless USB Type A receiver, micro USB charge cable, and the instructions. No protective storage pouch though which is a shame, especially as wireless products tend to be more portable so a travel pouch would have been nice for this price point.

The headset looks very stylish and you can definitely see and tell it’s a premium product. The materials used are high-quality and the headset feels very durable and well-constructed. All the buttons have a quality feel to them when pushed, especially the soft-touch ones of the left side ear pad, they feel sublime to press. The volume wheel has the perfect resistance and smooth operation to it. I’m disappointed that the Hyper X logos on either side don’t light up, I feel this was a missed opportunity and it would have looked cool. Its comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the cushioning on the ear pads and head band are excellent. I love the rotating earcups which really help with comfort when you’ve got them round your neck and the twist ball bearing mechanism feels quality.

The passive noise cancellation ability of these headphones is great, and they do a very good job of blocking out external noise, so much so that you can barely hear your own voice. When the microphone is attached though you can hear yourself with no delay which helps to alleviate this and stops you shouting too loud.

Sound quality in games is excellent and you can really hear all the details. There’s no distortion and all ranges of sound from highs to lows come through nice and clear. Playing BF5 and MW on PC with these is a great experience and they can really help give you a competitive edge, especially if you fine tune the sound options in-game. Unfortunately, there is one thing which really bugs me with this headset and that’s the volume, I wish they would be a bit louder. In games its not such a big deal, especially if like CoD, you can increase the range to make them louder, but when your watching videos or listening to music they just aren’t as loud as my wired headphones. I’m sure they are software limited but id like the volume to be a bit higher.

The virtual 7.1 mode doesn’t make the surround sound any better but it does lift the volume and increase the pitch of everything so you can hear footsteps and bullets better, etc. It’s a cool feature but I just found everything to be too high pitch in games and in my opinion is unusable in anything other than fps games. For example, playing GTA 5, if you listen to the radio in 7.1 mode the songs are completely drowned out in favour of the high pitch sound effects in-game so you can barely make out what song is playing. The volume is a fair bit louder in 7.1 mode, but this may be due to the lack of bass as it restricts the loudness to avoid distorting when in normal mode.

The microphone works great, no problems with this and my friends could hear me perfectly clear on both Steam and Discord. It feels good quality, you can easily bend it into any position you want, and it can be removed if you not using it. If you set one of the four soft-touch buttons on the ear pad as mute, the microphone with light up when its muted, nice little touch there.

Battery life seems pretty fantastic so far. I’ve used them for 8 hours and 20 minutes in total on 100% volume the whole time and the remaining battery life is still at 74%. The wireless charging is a neat feature and the headset sits comfortably on a charge pad (not included) without needed to be supported by anything. I’m not sure why Kingston chose to use a micro USB charge port instead of a Type C, seems a bit old fashioned now and in my opinion is one of the weaker types of ports.

I’m not a fan of the Ngenuity software on PC that requires you to use the Windows Store version with this headset. It’s very basic, it doesn’t show you changes to firmware (which I’ve had two so far), and most importantly you can’t minimise it to the bottom-right notification area so if you want it left open it just sits there on your taskbar. I tried the .exe version and it won’t connect to the Cloud Flight S forcing you to use the app store. If you want the headset to work properly, update and be able to customise the buttons, then you need this software installed.

Overall, I feel this is very decent gaming headset that just requires a few tweaks to make it perfect. For a wireless headset, its excellent and if this is what your looking for then I highly recommend them. I haven’t had any connection issues with them, and they work perfectly every time. I will always favour wired headphones, but I can appreciate just how good these are and the high build quality of them. They get a thumbs up from me and I feel four stars is appropriate for them.

Premium gaming headset, very comfortable

These are really comfortable to wear for extended use, whether listening to music or playing games. The adjustable cushioned headband holds the headset in place, even when the game gets serious. Overall the set has a high quality build, with no annoying squeaks or cracking when wearing or moving them. When the mic is installed, it stays in place and doesn’t rattle in use, unlike some detachable ones. If you aren’t a gamer, they are good enough to buy just for listening to music.

The audio has great depth and clarity with both an Xbox and listening to Spotify on an iPhone. Online players have confirmed how good the microphone is.

Based on one test, battery life is about 25 hours — not quite the 30 hours quoted, but still pretty good. The Qi charging base is a great way to store headphones when not in use and keep them topped up after a full evenings play — no wires to plug in or trip over.

I haven’t bothered to install the software, as I’m more than happy with the headphones as they are and I can’t really be bothered. Another feature wasted on me is the rotating cups, but they don’t impede me either; I concede that some people may welcome them.

The noise cancellation is passable, achieved mainly by the cushioned earpieces — I’m not aware of any specific functionality for this.

If you’re bothered about appearances, the design’s not very exciting — old without being fashionably retro, if you get my drift.

Wow! Wow! Wow! These are absolutely incredible. The sound is sharp, surrounding noise is completely cancelled out and they are so comfortable, I nearly forgot I was wearing them. Really allow you to immerse yourself in the game etc and the battery life is awesome! Highly recommended!

Amazing sound quality, build quality and features. Very durable and very comfortable with very soft and cozy pads. Easily charge with your wireless charger or with included usb lead. Removable microphone with a nice LED light. Soft buttons on the side for changing mic and volume which can be customised to what you want with software.
Plug and play with dongle makes it very easy to connect. To PC or PS4. Sound is nice and balanced and it’s so good to game without the wires getting in the way. Great battery life with battery lasting 30 hours.
I like how they twist so they don’t get in the way when you take them off and place them around your neck. No 3.5 headphone jack so no xBox support but definitely recommend.

I have to be clear I don’t really play many online games as I have always found the whole talking to other people think a bit weird. I decided to give this hyper X headset ago as it seemed to be incredible quality and it was too good to miss. Using it in conjunction with my PS4 it connected easily and the quality was evident immediately the volume can go from quiet to earthshattering loud and the quality of the audio even over Bluetooth is fantastic. I set up a multiplayer game with my nephew to try and gauge the quality of the microphone and he said it sounded incredible and very clear in comparison to a lot of his friends although I hadn’t mentioned to him that the purpose of this research I have the headset so it goes to show how crisp and clear this really is. The headset itself is rechargeable via a normal QI wireless charging pad and you just rest the head phone on its side. The audio is also excellent if you want to connect to your smart phone or other Bluetooth enabled device to listen to music.
