Only thing is if you have a growing pup you don’t want to cut the strap until they’re full size. Problem is, it catches her fur coz of the Velcro so have had to cover with gaffer tape.
Husky Proof Harness This is the second harness iv bought for my dog the first one was around 2 years ago and the only reason for buying my second harness is due to my other dog chewing on it in the house. This harness is the only harness my husky can not get out of it looks great feels great and I would definitely recommend it to anybody.
Well made Got one of these for our other dog and as it’s well made decided to get one for other dog. It fits well and I feel like it can be trusted. Just wish they were a bit cheaper.
Perfect for our big husky girl This is the 4th Julius harness we have bought and this one, just like the others, does not disappoint.
The fit is perfect after getting it adjusted to our dogs body shape and she loves it.
She also looks very cool in her orange harness next to the others in their red, black and green harnesses!

Can not recommend enough This item fits amazing. Complete comfort. We use on a working dog. As well as run with him. It’s in and out of water all the time. It’s strong enough for he’s job as well as to wear in the car. If you looking for an around harness. Look no further. We will most definitely buy again. Love the colour too.
Good harness Good harness seems strudy.. so far I don’t think the non-pull is very good. I’ve only used it twice and she pulled me don’t know if over time she will improve. The holder to hold her back is really good and strudy to hold her back.
Very well made and easy to use. I use these harnesses for my 2 chihuahuas and compared to the other makes I’ve used in the past this harness is very well made and I must say the price reflects that. With the other products my dogs always managed to slip out of them while walking but with these that can’t do that. It is very easy to put on and take off and overall I am very pleased with them.
Puppy Saint Bernard 35kg 12 week old Saint Bernard- got size 2 and fits fine. Hes now 22 weeks, we’ve adjusted it weekly and we think he has about another month in this size until upgrade. The K9 harnesses are great, we have a Newfoundland too and he’s in the biggest size, paired with a shock absorbing lead its a great combination for super strong large breeds. Wouldn’t use anything else.
Looks sma Great well made harness and collar from k9, my dog is a bit of a nightmare on the lead when he sees another dog and previous harnesses he has managed to get out of. Perfect having a handle to grab and I love the fact you can change the tags. (Ordered his name) I was a bit worried about sizing ordering online but its Perfect thanks to the chart guide.
Only criticism is the catch seems a bit flimsy, hoping it doesn’t brake for the price you pay.
*edit new photo added. Been using a week and I’ve noticed it’s been rubbing him. That strap is very stiff, I will stop using until it heals and maybe find some padding/cushion.
Ideal even for the smaller dog I just love the quality and more importantly size guide is damned good. I already had the smallest available size but my little pom had outgrown it hence this purchase. I cant recommend this particular brand enough as appears comfortable for my fur baby first and foremost, easy to put on her, secure and safe walking for her and I. Absolutely worth the price and will purchase again if required but suspect this one will last my girls lifetime now.
Great secure harness Didn’t think this looked too secure but once I fitted it to the dog it has seemed super secure and comfortable for him. Easy to get on and off, which has made preparing him for walks much easier as I had another fiddly harness and my pup would get impatient, now we’re ready to go for our walk in seconds.
Love i I think this harness is brilliant as it is so easy to put on with only one clip. I have used harnesses in the past with 3 clips and what a hard job to put it on. I have a pup and it is so easy to slip over their head and then clip under her front legs. She allows me to put it on without the battle. It must be comfortable as she never tries to take it off. I love the handle on the top of the harness too. Makes it easier to put them on a lead.
Perfect fit, highly recommend Finally I’ve found a harness that fits my jack russell perfectly. For those that are thinking of buying just make sure you measure your dogs chest and don’t just order your dogs normal size thinking it will fit. My dog is usually a size small but after measuring her chest which was 18inches I ordered the xs mini mini and its perfect. I like that the adjustable velcro strap fits lower down and not right on her neck, it should help to prevent the coughing episodes after pulling too hard when seeing other dogs. I came across quite a few of these Julius k9 harnesses when searching and wasn’t convinced they were the genuine article, but I can confirm this one is the genuine Julius k9 harness and I highly recommend.
Wrong size I love the product! It is exactly what I wanted however I order a size s/mini and was sent a xs/mini-mini meaning it fits and does the job but I will be needing to buy a bigger size sooner than I thought which isn’t great!
Great, rugged harness This is a great harness that is well worth the money.
Because of its design, if it isn’t tightened correctly it does have a tendency to ‘sag’ on either side as your dog moves around. This is mainly due to the fact that it doesn’t have the supporting strap that typically goes between the front legs… However, the absence of this strap also makes it incredibly easy to put on. Our dog doesn’t like putting his head through any harness that we have bought in the past, but the opening of the Julius is huge and makes it really easy.
The buckles are all thick and heavy duty. The stitching looks robust and gives me confidence that this will last us for years to come.
Measure dog to ensure order right size Quality item, cheaper than local pet shop, well made and adjustable to ensure good fit, holds dog well and with top handle can use if dog jumps or to restrain if need. Very strong I have a young Labrador who is very strong and this harness helps immensely. He finds it comfortable to wear and I like the fact that you can add a chest piece on to attach a second leash to it.

Amazing I got this for my son’s dog because every time he took him out with his other harness the dog was pulling him all over he just couldn’t control him but when he got this harness he couldn’t believe it because he was in control he didn’t pull it was amazing
Puppy This is a great harness our 11 month old Labrador is very strong already and I find with a harness he doesn’t pull, we had a harness before but the julius K9 is a much better stronger one and it also has the handle on top in case you need to hold him
Good Quality Our dog needs a harness and didn’t like the other style we bought for him. This one is much kinder to him and although he hates having anything on him at all he puts up with this one far better.
Please measure carefully though because we measured according to what their chart was but feel its a bit too big for our Black Lab who is now fully grown. It does fit but we feel is slightly too loose for him so sits further down his back than we feel it should. We don’t have any real problems with it but thats why I didn’t give it 5 stars for comfort because if we had to buy another I’d buy the next size down. Lets say the sizes are generous so just cross check with the sellers perhaps.
Solid product - has zero effect on pulling Purchased in an attempt to stop a Springer Spaniel intense pulling.
Needed a new harness due to growing out of the previous one so opted for this.
It seems good quality, so will hopefully last a few years at least – especially due to the cost of it, don’t want to be forking out so soon.
Sadly the main reason for buying was an attempt to stop or lessen the HellHounds incessant pulling whilst walking – had tried a HaltiHead Harness which works but the Hound hates it and drags his face along the floor to get it off – it also cuts in on his nose.
Thought I would try an alternative and read all the reviews on positive outcomes. Sadly it hasn’t done a thing, it doesn’t stop or lessen the pulling at all. Only thing it is likely to do is give some neck protection compared to a collar. Quality product but doesn’t lessen pulling.
My two dogs look the pa My Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American pit bull terrier cross really look the part in their army harnesses. I keep my dogs on leads most of the time for their own safety and due to my staffy having a awful accident where he lost his balance next to a river and fell in. He has arthritis and cancer so he’s wobbly and is a very weak swimmer, he would have drowned if it wasn’t for my brave aunty jumping in after him, the river’s undercurrents are strong 🙁
I bought the k9 julius Y attachment part too that allows you to attach the lead from the front to stop them from pulling and they’ve stopped the pulling completely, even the kids can hold the leads.
I bought a Medium for my small slender elderly Staffy then a large for my other dog but sadly it was far too big for her. The medium is a much better fit. The harnesses seem comfortable for them, I haven’t seen any rubbing marks off the straps on them. Had plenty of compliments on the harnesses on walks. Recommend.
P.S Please be careful of your dogs going near rivers, especially elderly sick dogs like my boy. Our ordeal really traumatised us, especially the kids, my daughter thought that she was going to loose her best friend 🙁 Stay safe.
Easy to fit and use - strong and wears well I’ve had this over 2 years now. I’ve waited this length of time time to tell you how it wears. It is great. I’ve got a Border Terror, sorry Terrier called Fred and he’s field tested it to the limit and it keeps coming back for more. If your dog isn’t called Julius this is an easy fix (see photo) Velcro name strips about 6 quid on eBay. One clip fit, you “lasso” the dog and clip it on. After a little practice you can do it one handed ! Adjust it once then forget, clip has never moved. Wipes clean and so strong, Fred often rubs it along brick walls. Not the cheapest but IMO the best. I’ve read reports of dogs pulling forwards out of them, but Fred has never managed it and trust me, he can pull suddenly and with great force when he sees a squirrel, cat or fox ! 5 stars
Great purchase I’ve now had 3 sizes of this harness and after much use, I’ve sold the ones my dog out grew as they were so sturdy and still looking good as new after clean. If you are looking for a good strong harness I would recommend

Hassle free fitting Bought the XL for our Boxer who is 36kgs. Have always used a harness with a Halti (as he can pull like a train!) but this harness is so much easier to put on, with the added benefit of a handle on the back if you need better control. Sturdy construction and looks very smart too. The side labels are velcro’d on so you can buy custom made ones with their name or something more fitting (‘I can be a bit of a twat’ springs to mind! ) Will be looking to buy ones for our Frenchie and Chihuahua too. Especially the little one as he’s a bit of a Houdini and somehow escapes his existing harness
Well made harness for a strong dog . At first I wasn’t sure whether this particular harness will be any good for our dog .We have an American Akita which weights 44kg and can be very strong at times , especially when he sees a squirrel in the park or other dogs he then pulls like he is on steroids , so I didn’t know whether the front Velcro will be any good . Perhaps I would have liked something more sturdy than Velcro but I thought I would give it a go as I often see other dogs wearing this particular brand of harness .
So at first I had a medium to low expectations about this harness .However , last week during our walk Teddy pulled my partner so hard he ended down on the ground. The harness pass the test with a distinction mark ! It didn’t come undone ! It’s a sturdy , well made harness . I’m confident that my dog is secure when wearing this harness . Definitely recommend it !
Superb. Worth the money. Brilliant harness. Very sturdy. Using this harness on our giant GSD puppy. He seems to like it. We’ve also bought a front D ring attachment for this harness. Really helps with reducing the amount of pulling we have on our walks.
Happy Max ! I have a German Shepherd puppy, nearly 8 months old, who is now on his 3rd K9 harness. Hopefully this will be his last one that I will need to get. He has just out grown the other two. He seems to be happy with them, they do not restrict him when moving about, but he is able to pull with it on, so for that reason I am also using the front control add on which personally I think should come with the harness. But having said that they are well made and seem comfortable for my dog.
The best there is! Tried every other type and brand of harness (for a English bulldog) and we’ll eventually resorted to K9…no regrets. Adjustable and strong!
Although it says not to, I have washed it in a machine, in a garment bag on a gentle cycle and it came up great.
Best Harness Out There. Worth Every Penny This is the best harness there is out there for so many reasons.
Firstly it does a fantastic job of helping anyone that has a dog that is strong or pulls on a lead. I have tried several harnesses and collars and nothing has helped as much as this. It really makes a huge difference. My large golden retriever is a gentle giant but is very strong and this gives me great control of him and offers him the comfort required to ensure it is 100% safe.
A must have if you have a strong dog or an issue with a dog pulling.

Easy to use strong Comfortable This was perfect for my 8month old lm XL ! Very comfortable for her ! And good for control ! Even though she wasn’t much of a problem in the first place , iv had to get get one for my 5month old bully boy ! Who litrelly walks me he is and absolute nightmare to walk! Utterly life changing (for me and my dog) This was recommended to me by a dog handler acquaintance for my rather big and strong willed italian spinone. It has been a revelation. It chilled him out straight away and now, a few weeks after purchase he walks to heel perfectly and no more back breaking, rib-popping pulling on the lead as he used to. If you have a dog that pulls and doesn’t walk to heel properly you need this harness. It has magic in it.
Lovely harness Very good harness. The front where the Velcro has to go over where it is supposed to slightly as it’s a little too big, but it fits fine and with the padding it makes sure that it doesn’t damage the dogs skin.
I like the handle on it as it’s helpful if you need to grab the dog.
Grea This fits our 35K German Shepherd very well. It hasn’t stopped pulling completely but that’s not why we bought it. It is comfortable for her and looks good. We use with a bungee lead, works well.
Jungle is massive dog harness, cannot fault it! This is the forth harness we have owned for our 12 month old Springer, he has chewed 2 of them and outgrew the other! We opted for a different harness this time, as the last two were the same brand but I quite fancied a change when I came across this camouflaged option of the Julius K-9. It comes packed in a plastic bag with various tags on and a mini booklet with safety features and other items. Please ensure yours has the textured holographic sticker inside or you could have a fake, they are out there!
This is very robust, seems very secure and snug, and more importantly Milo is not in any discomfort wearing it as it is pleasantly padded on his back / shoulders! Works like any other harness but with more added features like a torch space, replaceable Velcro name badges, adjustable chest reflector band, a really strong belly band with tough plastic buckle (it is big and robust), big steel chromed ring to fit your lead to, a small bit to clip a flashing light to and most importantly and good sized top handle to steady your dog if needs be.
I fully recommend this harness, as these are the best and for good reason! So many colours to choose from too (and you can buy Velcro name badges to personalise it further), so go on give your daily dog walk a make over and give yer pooch some top clobber. I’ve gone for camo, so full on jungle is massive!
A great to way to walk your dog if he pulls on a regular lead A great harness, simple and easy to use. My dog is quite happy in it and it really helps to stop him pulling when he gets over excited. He is a young , energetic GSD and this harness stops the lead pulling on his neck. We are all very happy with it.
Perfect dog harness Made to last, tough, strong and durable with lots of tech behind the design and extras built in to make the perfect adaptable, multi function dog harness. A harness is always so much better than the tradditonal lead and collar which pulls constantly on your dog’s neck impacting on their spine causing muscle related damage for your dog when it’s older. We purchased for a rescued Husky. On day one, the dog was not overly impressed by the different feel of his harness as he had previously had collar and lead attachement. Within half an hour of first walk our dog began running, totally unhindered by his new harness, which he seemed to forgot he had on, and we have not looked back since. The Husky being a powerful dog breed which is bred to pull sleds we were absolutely amazed at just how much more ‘easier’ it was to control the dog over a collar and lead and how much more comfortable it was for both dog and human. Cannot recommend these harnesses enough as they also have reflective strips with various signs which can be purchased separately such as ‘friendly’, ‘nervous’, ‘shy’ dog etc which you can velcro to both sides of the harness so visible to all. These harnesses also have two apertures for holding two night lights either side at top of harness, also a grip handle at top if needed to hold/retain your dog more securely. The harness is also very easy to adjust and put on, simply place over dog’s head and buckle underneath, it’s ultra quick and easy. 10/10 for us and our dog. We got the black on black which looks very smart and expensive looking too.

Doggo loves it, safe walks for both owner and the dog. Our German Sheppard Loves it. We also got he Y add-on, it helps when he pulls, but it’s manageable with out it. It’s very comfortable for the dog. My mom is 67, and she usually walks him, I was always afraid he’ll pull her over, but with this harness she’s got more control, and he feels more comfortable. All in all, worth the money!

Well made, the dog seems happy with it! We bought this for our labrador. It fits him perfectly. He can sometimes be excitable and need holding back, and this harness works very well, with a big handle on the top. There is also a big metal ring behind the handle to attach the lead.It has a reflective strip on the front strap, is very easy to put on (secured with one big plastic quick release buckle) – no tangling of straps or inadvertently putting it on backwards or upside down, which we have managed with previous harnesses. The Julius logos each side are luminous, and held on by velcro, but we have removed them and put on an alternative design on instead. The dog swims in the harness, and it does not seem to bother him here either, and it dries out fairly quickly.

Julius k9 is a trusted brand and one that’s proven to be worth its cost price over time. I’ve definitely learnt from experience that cheaper harnesses and dog items can rapidly become a false economy. Even so, this was substantially cheaper than buying direct from julius k9 and even at the amazon list price it would have been a decent buy at 25% less than I saw julius k9 selling them for in crufts this year.

he seems to like it! And he pulls a lot less than ... Fabulous harness for our lively & excitable 12 month old male gsd. Fits really well, he seems to like it! And he pulls a lot less than his usual collar & lead. The harness is really well made and sturdy and the handle on the back is brilliant for holding him still if he’s not listening, and because the whole harness feels so nice around him, when you do have to hold him in it he doesn’t seem to mind! Much better than pulling him on a lead & collar. Did use a head collar before because he’s so strong, but he is so much happier in this harness we may not need the head collar anymore, which is what I’m hoping so really very happy so far with this harness.
A fantastic harness for strong dogs, but..... This harness is the best harness I’ve bought so far! It is incredibly tough and strong and looks great on my dog and relatively comfortable to wear.
The handle is incredibly strong. I have a very strong golden retriever, who walks beautifully on the lead, however when she sees a bird, she wants to run after it; so its a great way to hold her close for greater control when needed.
The reflective strap and glow in the dark side strips are fantastic and reflect/glow well in the dark for easy visibility.
The steel D-Ring is incredibly strong and robust, in fact, it’s so chunky, I’ve had to get a new lead just to fit it!
The Julius-K9 Powerharness looks fantastic on and I’ve had other owners ask me where I purchased it from.
Only a couple of negative things I’ve sadly noticed:
1) The excess Velcro on the chest strap overhangs inside the harness where I’ve adjusted it and occasionally gets caught up as it has no where to stick to inside the harness, and cutting it does not seem like a viable option. Somewhere for the excess chest strap to stick to would be great.
2) The buckle, whilst not faulty, occasionally doesn’t click properly or its a bit stiff when you clip it together. Could just be it not going in straight but I always have to give it a couple of strong tugs just to be sure it is secure and won’t come loose.
3) The belly strap could do with being padded a bit better. My dog has a couple of sore spots under her armpits from where the harness rubs even though it is adjusted correctly and is actually looser than it should be. If I make the harness any looser, I run the risk of it sliding about on her back, which isn’t good for her spine or her safety/security if it ever came loose.She does suffer from skin allergies so I am going to walk her without the harness for a little while and see if it makes a difference. If the sore spots are due to her allergies, I will of course increase the rating of this review. In the mean time I will search for some appropriate padding for the strap.
Update!
I have increased the review to 4 stars. The sore spots under her armpits do seem to be the result of her allergies and not the harness itself. Overall a great harness, but with a couple of small modifications, would be perfect!
Brilliant Harness We have a 55 lb dog and struggled with finding a harness, after being recommended this item, we have found the dog is easier to walk and keep in control.
I purchased this for my Shepherd/Leonberger mix dog. It does the job well, fits nicely, and is very well constructed. I purchased a nice velcro flower design to replace the co name -- love that you could customize it. I wish there was a way to keep it from turning onto the side I'm walking on, but I guess that just depends on how much your dog pulls and how well the harness fits. I still would recommend. Leider zu groß Sieht sehr gut aus! Ich habe meinen pit bull ausgemessen und dann das geschirr im internet bestellt. Leider ist es trotzdem ein bisschen zu gro, liegt auf seinen schulterblttern auf und belstigt ihn beim laufen. Ich wrde daher empfehlen nicht nur auf die angegebenen Mae zu vertrauen und entweder den hund mitnehmen damit der verschiedene modelle anprobieren kann (zb im futterhaus) oder das modell wenn zu gro/zu klein rechtzeitig zurckzuschicken. Eignet sich nicht als Geschenk.

Puppy Saint Bernard
35kg 12 week old Saint Bernard- got size 2 and fits fine. Hes now 22 weeks, we’ve adjusted it weekly and we think he has about another month in this size until upgrade. The K9 harnesses are great, we have a Newfoundland too and he’s in the biggest size, paired with a shock absorbing lead its a great combination for super strong large breeds. Wouldn’t use anything else.

Great well made harness and collar from k9, my dog is a bit of a nightmare on the lead when he sees another dog and previous harnesses he has managed to get out of. Perfect having a handle to grab and I love the fact you can change the tags. (Ordered his name) I was a bit worried about sizing ordering online but its Perfect thanks to the chart guide.
Only criticism is the catch seems a bit flimsy, hoping it doesn’t brake for the price you pay.
*edit new photo added. Been using a week and I’ve noticed it’s been rubbing him. That strap is very stiff, I will stop using until it heals and maybe find some padding/cushion.
I just love the quality and more importantly size guide is damned good. I already had the smallest available size but my little pom had outgrown it hence this purchase. I cant recommend this particular brand enough as appears comfortable for my fur baby first and foremost, easy to put on her, secure and safe walking for her and I. Absolutely worth the price and will purchase again if required but suspect this one will last my girls lifetime now.
Great secure harness
Didn’t think this looked too secure but once I fitted it to the dog it has seemed super secure and comfortable for him. Easy to get on and off, which has made preparing him for walks much easier as I had another fiddly harness and my pup would get impatient, now we’re ready to go for our walk in seconds.

I think this harness is brilliant as it is so easy to put on with only one clip. I have used harnesses in the past with 3 clips and what a hard job to put it on. I have a pup and it is so easy to slip over their head and then clip under her front legs. She allows me to put it on without the battle. It must be comfortable as she never tries to take it off. I love the handle on the top of the harness too. Makes it easier to put them on a lead.
Perfect fit, highly recommend
Finally I’ve found a harness that fits my jack russell perfectly. For those that are thinking of buying just make sure you measure your dogs chest and don’t just order your dogs normal size thinking it will fit. My dog is usually a size small but after measuring her chest which was 18inches I ordered the xs mini mini and its perfect. I like that the adjustable velcro strap fits lower down and not right on her neck, it should help to prevent the coughing episodes after pulling too hard when seeing other dogs. I came across quite a few of these Julius k9 harnesses when searching and wasn’t convinced they were the genuine article, but I can confirm this one is the genuine Julius k9 harness and I highly recommend.

I love the product! It is exactly what I wanted however I order a size s/mini and was sent a xs/mini-mini meaning it fits and does the job but I will be needing to buy a bigger size sooner than I thought which isn’t great!
Great, rugged harness
This is a great harness that is well worth the money.
Because of its design, if it isn’t tightened correctly it does have a tendency to ‘sag’ on either side as your dog moves around. This is mainly due to the fact that it doesn’t have the supporting strap that typically goes between the front legs… However, the absence of this strap also makes it incredibly easy to put on. Our dog doesn’t like putting his head through any harness that we have bought in the past, but the opening of the Julius is huge and makes it really easy.
The buckles are all thick and heavy duty. The stitching looks robust and gives me confidence that this will last us for years to come.

Our dog needs a harness and didn’t like the other style we bought for him. This one is much kinder to him and although he hates having anything on him at all he puts up with this one far better.
Please measure carefully though because we measured according to what their chart was but feel its a bit too big for our Black Lab who is now fully grown. It does fit but we feel is slightly too loose for him so sits further down his back than we feel it should. We don’t have any real problems with it but thats why I didn’t give it 5 stars for comfort because if we had to buy another I’d buy the next size down. Lets say the sizes are generous so just cross check with the sellers perhaps.

Top quality product, easy to fit, adjust and use. Not so good if your dog pulls backwards, but generally this is not a problem.
Solid product - has zero effect on pulling
Purchased in an attempt to stop a Springer Spaniel intense pulling.
Needed a new harness due to growing out of the previous one so opted for this.
It seems good quality, so will hopefully last a few years at least – especially due to the cost of it, don’t want to be forking out so soon.
Sadly the main reason for buying was an attempt to stop or lessen the HellHounds incessant pulling whilst walking – had tried a HaltiHead Harness which works but the Hound hates it and drags his face along the floor to get it off – it also cuts in on his nose.
Thought I would try an alternative and read all the reviews on positive outcomes. Sadly it hasn’t done a thing, it doesn’t stop or lessen the pulling at all. Only thing it is likely to do is give some neck protection compared to a collar. Quality product but doesn’t lessen pulling.

My Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American pit bull terrier cross really look the part in their army harnesses. I keep my dogs on leads most of the time for their own safety and due to my staffy having a awful accident where he lost his balance next to a river and fell in. He has arthritis and cancer so he’s wobbly and is a very weak swimmer, he would have drowned if it wasn’t for my brave aunty jumping in after him, the river’s undercurrents are strong 🙁
I bought the k9 julius Y attachment part too that allows you to attach the lead from the front to stop them from pulling and they’ve stopped the pulling completely, even the kids can hold the leads.
I bought a Medium for my small slender elderly Staffy then a large for my other dog but sadly it was far too big for her. The medium is a much better fit. The harnesses seem comfortable for them, I haven’t seen any rubbing marks off the straps on them. Had plenty of compliments on the harnesses on walks. Recommend.
P.S Please be careful of your dogs going near rivers, especially elderly sick dogs like my boy. Our ordeal really traumatised us, especially the kids, my daughter thought that she was going to loose her best friend 🙁 Stay safe.

I’ve had this over 2 years now. I’ve waited this length of time time to tell you how it wears. It is great. I’ve got a Border Terror, sorry Terrier called Fred and he’s field tested it to the limit and it keeps coming back for more. If your dog isn’t called Julius this is an easy fix (see photo) Velcro name strips about 6 quid on eBay. One clip fit, you “lasso” the dog and clip it on. After a little practice you can do it one handed ! Adjust it once then forget, clip has never moved. Wipes clean and so strong, Fred often rubs it along brick walls. Not the cheapest but IMO the best. I’ve read reports of dogs pulling forwards out of them, but Fred has never managed it and trust me, he can pull suddenly and with great force when he sees a squirrel, cat or fox ! 5 stars

I’ve now had 3 sizes of this harness and after much use, I’ve sold the ones my dog out grew as they were so sturdy and still looking good as new after clean. If you are looking for a good strong harness I would recommend

Hassle free fitting
Bought the XL for our Boxer who is 36kgs. Have always used a harness with a Halti (as he can pull like a train!) but this harness is so much easier to put on, with the added benefit of a handle on the back if you need better control. Sturdy construction and looks very smart too. The side labels are velcro’d on so you can buy custom made ones with their name or something more fitting (‘I can be a bit of a twat’ springs to mind! ) Will be looking to buy ones for our Frenchie and Chihuahua too. Especially the little one as he’s a bit of a Houdini and somehow escapes his existing harness

Well made harness for a strong dog .
At first I wasn’t sure whether this particular harness will be any good for our dog .We have an American Akita which weights 44kg and can be very strong at times , especially when he sees a squirrel in the park or other dogs he then pulls like he is on steroids , so I didn’t know whether the front Velcro will be any good . Perhaps I would have liked something more sturdy than Velcro but I thought I would give it a go as I often see other dogs wearing this particular brand of harness .
So at first I had a medium to low expectations about this harness .However , last week during our walk Teddy pulled my partner so hard he ended down on the ground. The harness pass the test with a distinction mark ! It didn’t come undone ! It’s a sturdy , well made harness . I’m confident that my dog is secure when wearing this harness . Definitely recommend it !

Brilliant harness. Very sturdy. Using this harness on our giant GSD puppy. He seems to like it. We’ve also bought a front D ring attachment for this harness. Really helps with reducing the amount of pulling we have on our walks.

I have a Labrador and this fits him perfectly. Sometime I worry that it’s a bit tight on his chest.
I have a German Shepherd puppy, nearly 8 months old, who is now on his 3rd K9 harness. Hopefully this will be his last one that I will need to get. He has just out grown the other two. He seems to be happy with them, they do not restrict him when moving about, but he is able to pull with it on, so for that reason I am also using the front control add on which personally I think should come with the harness. But having said that they are well made and seem comfortable for my dog.

Although it says not to, I have washed it in a machine, in a garment bag on a gentle cycle and it came up great.

Best Harness Out There. Worth Every Penny
This is the best harness there is out there for so many reasons.
Firstly it does a fantastic job of helping anyone that has a dog that is strong or pulls on a lead. I have tried several harnesses and collars and nothing has helped as much as this. It really makes a huge difference. My large golden retriever is a gentle giant but is very strong and this gives me great control of him and offers him the comfort required to ensure it is 100% safe.
A must have if you have a strong dog or an issue with a dog pulling.

This was recommended to me by a dog handler acquaintance for my rather big and strong willed italian spinone. It has been a revelation. It chilled him out straight away and now, a few weeks after purchase he walks to heel perfectly and no more back breaking, rib-popping pulling on the lead as he used to. If you have a dog that pulls and doesn’t walk to heel properly you need this harness. It has magic in it.

Very good harness. The front where the Velcro has to go over where it is supposed to slightly as it’s a little too big, but it fits fine and with the padding it makes sure that it doesn’t damage the dogs skin.
I like the handle on it as it’s helpful if you need to grab the dog.

This is the forth harness we have owned for our 12 month old Springer, he has chewed 2 of them and outgrew the other! We opted for a different harness this time, as the last two were the same brand but I quite fancied a change when I came across this camouflaged option of the Julius K-9. It comes packed in a plastic bag with various tags on and a mini booklet with safety features and other items. Please ensure yours has the textured holographic sticker inside or you could have a fake, they are out there!
This is very robust, seems very secure and snug, and more importantly Milo is not in any discomfort wearing it as it is pleasantly padded on his back / shoulders! Works like any other harness but with more added features like a torch space, replaceable Velcro name badges, adjustable chest reflector band, a really strong belly band with tough plastic buckle (it is big and robust), big steel chromed ring to fit your lead to, a small bit to clip a flashing light to and most importantly and good sized top handle to steady your dog if needs be.
I fully recommend this harness, as these are the best and for good reason! So many colours to choose from too (and you can buy Velcro name badges to personalise it further), so go on give your daily dog walk a make over and give yer pooch some top clobber. I’ve gone for camo, so full on jungle is massive!
A great to way to walk your dog if he pulls on a regular lead
A great harness, simple and easy to use. My dog is quite happy in it and it really helps to stop him pulling when he gets over excited. He is a young , energetic GSD and this harness stops the lead pulling on his neck. We are all very happy with it.

Fantastic quality. We bought the size 2 for a female Rottweiler age 15 months. Plenty of room for her to grow. Really pleased.
Made to last, tough, strong and durable with lots of tech behind the design and extras built in to make the perfect adaptable, multi function dog harness. A harness is always so much better than the tradditonal lead and collar which pulls constantly on your dog’s neck impacting on their spine causing muscle related damage for your dog when it’s older. We purchased for a rescued Husky. On day one, the dog was not overly impressed by the different feel of his harness as he had previously had collar and lead attachement. Within half an hour of first walk our dog began running, totally unhindered by his new harness, which he seemed to forgot he had on, and we have not looked back since. The Husky being a powerful dog breed which is bred to pull sleds we were absolutely amazed at just how much more ‘easier’ it was to control the dog over a collar and lead and how much more comfortable it was for both dog and human. Cannot recommend these harnesses enough as they also have reflective strips with various signs which can be purchased separately such as ‘friendly’, ‘nervous’, ‘shy’ dog etc which you can velcro to both sides of the harness so visible to all. These harnesses also have two apertures for holding two night lights either side at top of harness, also a grip handle at top if needed to hold/retain your dog more securely. The harness is also very easy to adjust and put on, simply place over dog’s head and buckle underneath, it’s ultra quick and easy. 10/10 for us and our dog. We got the black on black which looks very smart and expensive looking too.

Our German Sheppard Loves it. We also got he Y add-on, it helps when he pulls, but it’s manageable with out it. It’s very comfortable for the dog. My mom is 67, and she usually walks him, I was always afraid he’ll pull her over, but with this harness she’s got more control, and he feels more comfortable. All in all, worth the money!

We bought this for our labrador. It fits him perfectly. He can sometimes be excitable and need holding back, and this harness works very well, with a big handle on the top. There is also a big metal ring behind the handle to attach the lead.It has a reflective strip on the front strap, is very easy to put on (secured with one big plastic quick release buckle) – no tangling of straps or inadvertently putting it on backwards or upside down, which we have managed with previous harnesses. The Julius logos each side are luminous, and held on by velcro, but we have removed them and put on an alternative design on instead. The dog swims in the harness, and it does not seem to bother him here either, and it dries out fairly quickly.

Julius k9 is a trusted brand and one that’s proven to be worth its cost price over time. I’ve definitely learnt from experience that cheaper harnesses and dog items can rapidly become a false economy. Even so, this was substantially cheaper than buying direct from julius k9 and even at the amazon list price it would have been a decent buy at 25% less than I saw julius k9 selling them for in crufts this year.

Fabulous harness for our lively & excitable 12 month old male gsd. Fits really well, he seems to like it! And he pulls a lot less than his usual collar & lead. The harness is really well made and sturdy and the handle on the back is brilliant for holding him still if he’s not listening, and because the whole harness feels so nice around him, when you do have to hold him in it he doesn’t seem to mind! Much better than pulling him on a lead & collar. Did use a head collar before because he’s so strong, but he is so much happier in this harness we may not need the head collar anymore, which is what I’m hoping so really very happy so far with this harness.

This harness is the best harness I’ve bought so far! It is incredibly tough and strong and looks great on my dog and relatively comfortable to wear.
The handle is incredibly strong. I have a very strong golden retriever, who walks beautifully on the lead, however when she sees a bird, she wants to run after it; so its a great way to hold her close for greater control when needed.
The reflective strap and glow in the dark side strips are fantastic and reflect/glow well in the dark for easy visibility.
The steel D-Ring is incredibly strong and robust, in fact, it’s so chunky, I’ve had to get a new lead just to fit it!
The Julius-K9 Powerharness looks fantastic on and I’ve had other owners ask me where I purchased it from.
Only a couple of negative things I’ve sadly noticed:
1) The excess Velcro on the chest strap overhangs inside the harness where I’ve adjusted it and occasionally gets caught up as it has no where to stick to inside the harness, and cutting it does not seem like a viable option. Somewhere for the excess chest strap to stick to would be great.
2) The buckle, whilst not faulty, occasionally doesn’t click properly or its a bit stiff when you clip it together. Could just be it not going in straight but I always have to give it a couple of strong tugs just to be sure it is secure and won’t come loose.
3) The belly strap could do with being padded a bit better. My dog has a couple of sore spots under her armpits from where the harness rubs even though it is adjusted correctly and is actually looser than it should be. If I make the harness any looser, I run the risk of it sliding about on her back, which isn’t good for her spine or her safety/security if it ever came loose.She does suffer from skin allergies so I am going to walk her without the harness for a little while and see if it makes a difference. If the sore spots are due to her allergies, I will of course increase the rating of this review. In the mean time I will search for some appropriate padding for the strap.
Update!
I have increased the review to 4 stars. The sore spots under her armpits do seem to be the result of her allergies and not the harness itself. Overall a great harness, but with a couple of small modifications, would be perfect!
We have a 55 lb dog and struggled with finding a harness, after being recommended this item, we have found the dog is easier to walk and keep in control.

Sieht sehr gut aus! Ich habe meinen pit bull ausgemessen und dann das geschirr im internet bestellt. Leider ist es trotzdem ein bisschen zu gro, liegt auf seinen schulterblttern auf und belstigt ihn beim laufen. Ich wrde daher empfehlen nicht nur auf die angegebenen Mae zu vertrauen und entweder den hund mitnehmen damit der verschiedene modelle anprobieren kann (zb im futterhaus) oder das modell wenn zu gro/zu klein rechtzeitig zurckzuschicken. Eignet sich nicht als Geschenk.
