Karlie Transport Box – In Accordance with IATA Requirements for Transportation of Live Animals

habe mir diese Transportbox von Karlie bestellt
um meinen groen Leguan ( 1,30m ) zum Garten mitnehmen kann oder ihn mal zum Tierarzt bringen muss
da hat er gut Platz drin gehab

fr meine 17 Jahre alte Katze gekauft, aufgrund der Arthrose konnte sie nicht mehr in die Toilette reingehen, weil der Einstieg bei sehr vielen Toiletten zu hoch sind.
Da mir die Idee kam, eine Transportbox zu nehmen, weil der Einstieg sehr niedrig ist, hat es meine Katze viel viel bequemer in die Toilette zu gehen. Es funktioniert sehr gut! 🙂

Saying that though, this is not a cage you can put on your lap and it’s suitable for a medium sized dog I think!!!

Otherwise I feel this could comfortably take both of our cats……

It’s a good cage though and it meets travel requirements so if you do a lot of travelling with your cat or dog you may wish to purchase one of these.

Qualitative gute Transportbox. Noch besser wre sie wenn es fr den Hund keine Mglichkeit gbe sich mit den Zhnen im Gitter zu verfangen.

Cette cage de transport est trs pratique pour un grand chat cependant il faut avoir une grande place passager avant car elle prend de la place. Pour le montage, il faut jouer un peu la devinette car le plan de montage ne prcise pas correctement comment placer les attaches tout autour du de la cage pour fermer l’assemblage du haut et du bas. C’est un bon produit je le recommande donc.

Je viens d’acqurir un cocker de 2 mois et je cherchais de quoi lui faire un couchage douillet la maison. En l’observant la premire semaine, je me suis rendue compte qu’elle aimait le principe de “tanire”. J’ai donc opt pour l’achat de cette cage de transport en me disant qu’avec une bonne couverture a pourrait lui servir de couchage la nuit puis que nous pourrions la prendre avec nous pour les dplacements, elle y retrouverait un espace qu’elle connat et apprcie. Et bingo ! Ds qu’on la met dans son parc pour dormir, elle file s’allonger dans la cage avec tous ses jouets et sa couverture moelleuse, a la coupe du bruit ambiant, elle y est trs sereine. Et en voiture mme constat : a se passe merveille. La taille de la cage est videmment un peu grande pour un chiot de 4 kg peine mais elle sera parfaitement adapte sa taille adulte.

J’ajoute que pour le prix, je suis bluffe par la qualit et la finition de cette cage. Un achat que je ne regrette pas, bien au contraire !

Die Box wurde gekauft, weil die ursprngliche Box (gekauft fr einen 20 Stunden Flug) zu gro war, um sinnvoll im Auto mitgenommen zu werden. Diese Box hier ist eine Nummer kleiner, aber genauso robust und zuverlssig wie die groe.

Der Zusammenbau ist einfach und von jedermann machbar. Man(n) muss ggf. darauf achten, WANN man die “Tr” einsetzt – das muss zwingend erfolgen, BEVOR man die vorderen Befestigungen vornimmt. Notfalls muss man es eben noch einmal machen… 😉 (ja – Erfahrung…).

Ich habe weiterhin, fr den Einsatz im Auto, 10mm Schkel gekauft, damit ich an den 4 Verzurr-sen eine einfache Mglichkeit habe, die Box im Auto sicher zu befestigen. Es gibt an den Ecken jeweils entsprechende Punkte, die eine ca. 1cm groe ffnung haben – allerdings ist es anstrengend, wenn man da einen Spanngurt drchfdeln will. Die SChkel passen genau, sind sehr stabil und erleichtern das Befestigen enorm – kann ich nur empfehlen!

Der Hund ist bzgl. der Box neutral – er geht rein, mag es natrlich nicht, von der Familie getrennt zu sein, reagiert aber in keinem Fall panisch oder so.

DIe Box hat auch keinen strengen “China-Geruch” sondern ist an sich unauffllig. Fr mich die bessere Alternative zu den “klassischen” Autoboxen aus Aluminium.

Insofern wrde ich sie wieder kaufen – sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhltnis.

Assumed these would be ok to fly with, for the medium size and my cats fit in perfectly, but they are short of the ‘minimum’ requirement size many airlines need. So now I’m stuck with 3 cat carriers which are useless to me. D’oh! Otherwise nice carriers

Good quality, sturdy, bulky though. But it does what is supposed to do.

Used already twice on flights with KLM and Aerolneas Argentinas and had no issues whatsoever. The only criticism is that it comes with only one bowl attacheable to the door, and it’d be good to have one for food and one for water.

Wir hatten fr unseren Bolonka eine Transportbox im heimischen Einzelhandel gekauft.Leider wuchs der kleine Hund schneller als erwartet und die Box wurde zu klein.
Die Fellnase sollte sich doch auch ein wenig bewegen knnen.
Amazon hatte das Passende und lieferte pnktlich zum angekndigten Termin.
Der Aufbau der Box ging schnell von der Hand.Das fertige Produkt macht einen soliden Eindruck.Der Behlter steht knftig in meinen ASX auf der Rcksitzbank und wird durch den Sicherheitsgurt zustzlich gesichert.
Als Zubehr gab es noch 2×4 Kunststoff-Ecken dazu,die an die Ecken der Box passen,aber der Sinn bleibt mir verschlossen.(4kurze+4 lngere)

Diese Transportbox macht einen stabilen und, fr den Preis, hochwertigen Eindruck. Man muss hier keine Angst haben das whrend des Transportes was passiert. Auch ist es sehr gerumig und vor allem keine scharfen Kanten etc. bei dem sich das Tier gegebenenfalls verletzen knnte.
Was wir jedoch kritisieren sind zum einen die “Aufbauanleitung” diese fllt doch sehr sperrlich aus und ist sehr unscharf gedruckt bzw. die Auflsung ist viel zu gering. Man muss erstmal berlegen wie diese Schlieverbindungen funktionieren – wenn man es das erste mal erledigt.
Weiterhin sind die Gitter der seitlichen “Fenster” zu breit, jedenfalls fr Katzen, unsere Katze hat hier stndig mit ihren Pfoten durchgegriffen – da erschreckten wir uns auch noch whrend der Autofahrt da sie mit ihren Krallen am Sitz dranne kam (Transportbox auf Rcksitz). Natrlich passen auch die Pfoten bei der Tr durch, was natrlich normal ist. Aber durch die Fenster, dass knnte man gegebenfalls engmaschiger machen das Gitter.

Fazit:
Trotz der kleinen Schwchen eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Unsere Katzen haben hier gengend Platz und werden sicher transportiert. Fr Hunde gewiss auch in jeglicher Hinsicht optimal.

Excellent transport box, strong and well made. The door is very secure with a strong fastening. We used the box to carry our cat on a long journey by ferry and car to Portugal. There was room for a small litter tray. Great buy.

Hallo ich habe diese Box fr den Hund meiner Eltern gekauft. Die Lieferung ging sehr schnell Donnerstag morgen bestellt und Samstag war sie da. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, leider waren auen an der Box noch 1-2 scharfe Kanten wofr es von mir einen Stern Abzug gibt. Ich muss aber lobenswert erwhnen das die Box sehr viel aushlt, es waren 2 Kisten mit ca 15kg Gewicht auf der Box und sie hat kaum nachgegeben. Preis Leistungs Verhltnis ist echt Top, kann ich nur wrmstens empfehlen.

Karlie Flugzeugbox Nomad, Gre M (Ohne Rdern) 68 x 51 x 47 cm

Hatten zwar eine Hundetransportbox, jedoch musste eine IATA-Konforme her, da wir demnchst mit dem Flugzeug verreisen und unser Vierbeiner (Westie, 10 Kg) mit soll. Der Versand erfolgte dank Prime umgehend, die Box kam am nchsten Tag an.

Die Transportbox ist solide verarbeitet und war nach 2 Minuten fix und fertig montiert, hier bentigt man eigtl. keine Anleitung, diese aber mit beiliegt.

Ausreichend Platz zur Seite und zur Hhe, ist eine umlaufende “Rinne” vorhanden, fr den Fall, dass dem Tier whrend des Transportes ein Malheur passiert und er nicht in seiner Flssigkeit liegen muss. Dies ist ein wichtiges Detail. Weiter ist eine Schraube mit Flgelmutter als Ersatz beigefgt, falls einmal eine verloren geht; so muss das sein!

Als Einlage haben wir die Trixie Hundedecke Trixie 38934 Joey Kissen, 70 47 cm, schwarz gewhlt, diese passt fr diese Box einwandfrei und ist passgenau.

Alles in Allem eine gute Kombination mit dem guten Gefhl, dass das Tier ordentlich untergebracht ist.

Diese Transportbox empfehle ich uneingeschrnkt in Punkto Berarbeitung, Qualitt, Preis-Leistungsverhltnis!

Wir haben Gre M fr unsere Franzsische Bulldogge bestellt und diese passt ideal.
Der Transporter ist im Aufbau kinderleicht. Links und rechts an der Seite sind je drei Klappverschlsse, die man versperren kann. Zustzlich sind 4 Schrauben und eine Ersatzschraube dabei, mit der man den Ober- und Unterteil fest verbinden kann. Das eignet sich eher fr eine Flugreise oder andere lngere Unternehmungen. Unser Hund benutzt die Box auch als Schlaf- und Ruheplatz, daher reichen die sechs Verschlsse fr den Alltag aus, da sie ausreichend stabil sind.
Die Tr kann links oder rechts angebracht werden und passt sich so jeder Situation oder jedem Stellplatz an.
Die Gitterabstnde an den seitlichen ffnungen und der Tr sind gro genug, um den Hund im Inneren auch mit Leckerlis zwischendurch zu versorgen. Der Einhngenapf fr die Tr ist sehr praktisch und fr krzere Ausflge wunderbar. Ein kleiner Snack fr die Fellnase hat auf jeden Fall darin Platz.

Wir haben uns fr die “Gre M” entschieden da wir eine MainCoon besitzen, wir waren uns aber nicht ganz sicher ob dies ausreichen wrde. Zahlen (Mae) sagen nicht viel aus 🙂
2 Tage spter erhielten wir ein groes Paket und es befand sich darin unsere Transportbox. Schon beim auspacken merkte man das die Gre der Box vllig ausreichte. Keine 5 Minuten hat es gedauert bis wir die Transportbox aufgebaut hatten.
Wir sind begeistert von der Verarbeitung und dem Preis.
Es sieht zwar ein wenig anders aus als auf dem Verkaufsbild aber dafr besser und Stabiler 😉

Bought this to travel with the dog in the car but was worried by the price (others I had seen were double the price). Needn’t have worried as its superb. Very solid and the dog likes it. Excellent purchase.

Really impressed with this dog carrier, was a little nervous to order at first as its soo much cheaper than similar items, but so far so good.
Seems very solid, assembly was really straightforward- took less than 5 minutes.
Cockapoo loves it, i use it for transporting the dog in the car. I have not and will not be using for airplane travel.
Easy to clean, and locking mechanism strong and easy to operate with 1 hand.

TL,DR:
Medium carrier is secure, solid, spacious, and fit for purpose. Works well for animals prone to destroying or escaping. Images used are not representative of specifically sized product as wheels are not included with Medium version and it has single, centred handle instead of two handles as shown. For this and this alone one star is lost.
Wheels can be bought on eBay but should be an option on Amazon.

I purchased the Medium version carrier for my four ferrets and it is fantastic.
One of my ferrets is particularly determined at escaping, having slipped out off or clawed her way out of four pens and three carriers in the past year. This carrier has a spacious feel, great ventilation, small bar spacing, and a solid feel which is exactly what I was looking for. Not only do they use it as a bed in my room but they don’t panic due to claustrophobia when I close the door (which they have done with previous carriers). The door is secure and the lock is smooth to use (No noise or metal grating feel).
The bowl is good too, it clips on and off easily with me but the ferrets haven’t been able to push it off the bars (Or even budge it) and soak their bedding which was another concern I had. The size fits perfectly in the car and it isn’t an eyesore in the corner of my bedroom.

My only two issues with this carrier are the product image used here and the handles. I originally clicked on the Small version of this product but I chose the Medium version because it was not only bigger but had wheels which would save strain on my back. While the Medium carrier picture shows wheels, the information sheet attached to the delivered carrier that wheels are only supplied with versions Large and above. This was very disappointing because the weight of the carrier plus all ferrets (One large female, one medium male, and two large males) makes it quite a strain to carry for trips longer than from the house to the car. There is no information provided in the product description or details to say this was the case nor is there an option to buy wheels separately despite there being what looks like a place for wheels to be attached on the Medium version.
The handle on the Medium version is not two on either end as shown but a single handle on the top makes it even more awkward to carry with the large shape and weight.
I bought this carrier in anticipation of the vet appointment I have tomorrow for which I must use public transport most of the way. Without wheels to make the travel to the train and through the busy station, I am left with the option to either struggle walking around with this carrier and leave lots of extra time for the journey or using a smaller older carrier which they have escaped from before but is easier to carry.
The name of this carrier is ‘Karlie Flamingo Nomad Carrier’ and after some searching, I did find some wheels on eBay from them however it’s too late for this appointment which is why I am disappointed. My upset is not at the carrier, but at the lack of wheels shown and at the fact that I didn’t have an option to buy the wheels at the same time (which I would have done happily if I had known they were not included). I don’t mean to moan but I am not looking forward to figuring out what to do for tomorrow so I can transport my animals through the city safely.

My cat required the M size kettle, he seemed to be very comfortable in there. The product doesn’t come with wheels which btw you would have to remove for the flight anyways but it would be handy for handling otherwise.

Very sturdy easy to carry, and best of all not easily chewed to bit by our Staffordshire bull terrier.

Everything good until check in at airport and being asked to have a double bowl…. Fortunately I had a travelling bowl with me that I attached with a doggy bag at the crate door…. Otherwise I would have been grounded by the airline.
Size was good for my bichon frise.

Very sturdily built. Instructions re clips on sides could be clearer otherwise easy to assemble. Initially purchased to transport puppy, he’s now 13 kilos but still fits. Will soon use to house my two cats very comfortably! Reasonably priced.
