The handle texture is very good, the weight is relatively heavy, the lightsaber color glows evenly, the color is very beautiful, there is a sound effect when waving, the effect is very good, the things meet the description, and the Jedi is highly restored.
It’s plastic, but my kids like it very much. I can’t wait to play with the kids. With the sound effect, they have a lot of fun!

Bought for my 10 yr old grandson. Couldn’t have picked a better gift. He absolutely loves it . Good value for money . Has quite a few different choices of colors and sounds

It feels great, has some weight but still not too much to get tired quickly.
Although isn’t cheap, seems to be build decently but I am not sure it would survive heavy dueling.
Overall it’s a great lightsaber to play with.

amazing sounds and responsive to movement, strong and sturdy so can handle a good swing, the lights are super bright and looks really impressive at night, great quality sabe

This is very good fun but expensive.

The sound effects are great but they play according to a set pattern — they are not swing-sensitive or strike-sensitive for example. However, if they were then it would add a lot to the cost — you get what you pay for. It is still very good, and a good compromise between having everything you want on a light sabre and cost.

It’s hard to know whether to see this as a collector’s item or as a grown up toy. On balance I think it’s just too much fun not to play with, but given the cost you’ll probably want to be pretty careful not to damage it!

It looks and feels great, it’s well made, and I really like the interactive sound effects that add so much to the experience of swishing it around. It would obviously be fantastic for fancy dress or cosplay.

The interface to switch between the various options isn’t the most intuitive thing in the world but I suppose you’d get used to it if you use it a lot.

Overall though it’s great and if you’re looking for a light saber I think this one is definitely worth serious consideration.

This lightsaber is best used in an openish space (aren’t they all) There seems to be something about the fact that it lights up that makes the kids even more manic with them. It’s particularly awesome in the fading light outside in the garden. Very atmospheric.

The noises it makes are very irritating, and not only to adults. My son has been happy to play with it with the noises switched off. I must confess the “shuuum” is very atmospheric in short bursts. There are two volume settings and the quiet mode is significantly more bearable than when it’s on loud mode.

Changing the volume and the colours is a little counter-intuitive. You will need the instructions to make it work. But if you follow them, it works just fine, and selecting colour is straightforward once you have the trick of it. The saber isn’t a “toy” as such, but if you do give it to younger kids they may get frustrated if they want to keep swapping colours.

The colours are pretty authentic to film colours, though the red and greens are deeper than the movie sabers. The white light is probably my favourite. An elegant weapon for a more civilised age, if you will.

This item arrived safe and well packaged in giftable quality presentation.
This is such a fun realistic durable looking light sabre replica! Not only can you rein act your favourite scenes with nostalgia buzz from the films and also you can select from a huge range of colours aswell.

I particularly like how stand out this is & its a decent looking light too.
Operated by a very simple button on the hilt with different operations for holding the button for different lengths. Very easy to use for convenience that has a easy to hold handle.
So this saber has been very entertaining for all the family during their visits throughout the half term & the integrated battery to be fair lasts ages also the Sound quality is pretty good!

Ideal novelty saber for multifunctional purposes even for an attic light or cosplay.
Happy to recommend this product for quality craftsmanship and value all in all

    Great colours

The gift recipients were unanimous in their high praise for this stylish and well designed light baton – or indeed ‘sabre’. It does what it’s meant to (or rather pretend-to-do), it’s easy to assemble and use, and have made my young relatives the object of admiration and envy from their peers whenever they’ve put on a display. I can well imagine that some of the older and younger in years might find it a bit alarming on first encounter, but it can’t actually behead or cauterise you, and so there’s no real harm there. The price is equally a bit alarming but even a little research reveals that this light-sabre is competitively priced in comparison to others. In short, a recommended proxy-ticket to the Star Wars universe.

We are big fans of this lightsaber. It’s well-made, even if the end does look a bit odd, and has realistic sound. It’s able to cycle through the various colours at the touch of a button, so you can easily switch from being a Jedi to a Sith (via Mace Windu’s saber, if required). Very pleased.

I ordered this, just out of curiosity, plus I’ve always wanted to swing one round making that lovely buzzy noise. Well this gave me a good experience of that – it is a quite fun thing to play with, and has what they call “sound fonts” (5 different sound sets) installed on it, so you can pick your sounds of choice. There is the typical sort of buzzy/whomping noise as you swing it – it obviously has some sort of motion sensor to trigger this, so it is quite satisfying. Although the speaker is at the base of the handle, pointing down, so is somewhat lacking in bass, being about 1.5″ in diameter, the sound is still pretty good (enough to make people complain at the other end of a Skype call, heh heh)
There is a selection of colours for the single LED at the top of the handle, shining straght up inside the slightly tapering plastic tube. The colours are very bright and vivid, I tried to get some pictures, but it is very difficult to capture the true colours of LEDs in a photograph, so you’ll have to take my word the sabre looks very good when lit, and the colour looks nice and even all the way up to the tip although photos make it look much brighter at the base. (I have added a few pics to show off some of the colours available. I also discovered there is a “display mode” if you let it flash 3 times and hit the button whereupon it will cycle through all the colours)
The motion sensor also seems to detect collisions, so if you were duelling with somebody else with another sabre, when they clash, you get a satisfying zap noise and the light flashes white for a few milliseconds.
    CONSTRUCTION
This is a quality product with a turned aluminium handle that feels nice and solid with a semi gloss black finish. The “blade” is made of pretty durable-feeling semi-opaque white plastic that is attached to the handle with two grub screws that attach it securely to the handle. There is a small packet with spare screws and an allen key.
The electronics fit neatly inside the handle, and appear to be well-made. Control is via a single button with a blue LED surround that blinks so many times to signify which part you are controlling, eg “standby status” is four blinks, then another press of the button. It took me a little while to get the hang of the various states, it can be quite complex to get to where you want in the control, but once you get it set up to the colour and sounds you want it is fairly easy to remember how to stop and start it.
    CONCLUSION
This is a fun toy, but also a nice display artifact for anyone who is a keen “Star Wars” fan too. I wouldn’t give it to young children to play with though!
    NOTE
I must point out that I made the display stand shown in last picture, it wasn’t supplied with the light sabre!

A fun toy, but also a delightful artifact to display.

    Style: !2 Colours 5 Sound

The Retail packaging this arrived in was all a bit cheap looking and inside you get the Lightsabre Handle, Lightsabre Blade, USB-A to DC Charging Cable, Padded Handle Tape, Hex Key, 4 x very small Hex Screws, 2 x Slightly Longer Hex Screws, Flat-Point Screw, Pointed Screw, and Instructions. The instructions are just a single-sided A4 sheet of text, there are no pictures, and they are not that good.

For attaching the blade to the handle, they say “Two screws are mainly used for fixation, please use the provided tool to install two small screws on two holes of the aluminium alloy hilts. Makes sure that the blade and hilts are firmly installed.” So, is the two of the four screw or the two slightly longer ones? Nowhere else in the instruction does it mention screws again. So, I have no idea what all the others are for? Rather than try and explain the rest of the instructions, I have uploaded a photo of them. I went with the slightly longer ones, and they seemed to have worked fine.

The thing is that you need to set everything while the lightsabre is in standby mode — not off. Once the blade is lit up, you cannot change anything. You must go back into standby mode again and everything is control via the single button on the hilt e.g., when in standby, hold the button down until the light blinks twice, takes you into sound font fx. What is neat is that you can have it set so that it replicates the noise the lightsabre makes in the films when it is swished around. It is quite realistic sounding.

The metal hilt can be joined together with another hilt to form a double-bladed sabre, which is very call.

Build quality does feel pretty good, especially the hilt, and even the blade has a decent thickness to. Although I have not whacked it against anything hard to test it, but it should be fine against another one of these lightsabres.

The 12 colours are all nice and bright and there should be one for everyone here. The only sort of naff bit is the 5 short talking bits, which are not very loud and sort of dull. Bar that, I think it is a decent lightsabre and wouldn’t mind getting hold of another one to create that double one. The balance feel ok as well.

Would be great for fancy dress & Christmas parties, role playing, etc or juts toys for the boys & girls.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

It is a sort of Star Wars memorabilia, and looks great as deco, a bit like a leon light in the room.
Also great for cosplay, the total weight is about 450g – 300g for the metal hilt ad the plastic blade 150g.
The total length is about 98 cm with hilt at 24 and blade at 73, comparing the typical blade one @ 91cm, this is actually changeable, which you can find replacement to the right fit.
This does look great when light up, also the sound that brings you back to the movie.
With Obi Wan Kenobi series coming soon, these blades could be a hit then.
This the for the fans to feel the force…… from a galaxy far, far away.
Personally, I think the just red and blue colour is good enough, the price is a bit steep – for a powerful torch with sound and a plastic tube.
** remember to tighten the plastic blade to the hilt, before attempting to be a jedi**

Just about 20 cm too sho

The sword was delivered by Amazon the next day in secure packaging. My son had one and wanted another to play with between the siblings. The light tube is solid and can be whacked off things without breaking and the device itself is so cool. Push a button, a loud whooshing noise sounds and the tube lights up in sync to the sound, then whenever you swing it, it makes electronic whooshing noises that sound like the effects on Star Wars. The colour can be changed to preference and at the price paid I do bet it would make any Star Wars fan happy.

Not only is the lightsabre itself quite well equipped, but the handle is quite solid, very sturdy, and the controls are easy to understand. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a lightsabre for yourself or to gift to a friend.

This is a great product. I’m very happy with the build quality, appearance of the saber and lights, as well as the effects. The instructions are a bit unclear so I wanted to add this for anyone struggling to figure out all the settings.

Press and hold button for 3 seconds to wake the saber.

Press and release the button once to activate the saber.

With the saber on, press and hold the button until the light flashes once to enter berserker mode. In this mode, the saber will stay at its set color and will not react to impacts. Press and release the button once and the saber goes berserk with white flashing. Another press and release of the button returns the saber to its normal state.

With the saber in standby, press and hold the button until it flashes once to change sound level. Press and release to toggle the modes. Press and hold for one flash go set sound level.

With the saber on, press and hold the button until it flashes twice to enter color fade mode. In this mode, press and hold the button and the saber will slowly fade through its color options. Release when the desired color is found. Press and hold for one flash to set that color.

Being a fan of several things I know I’m willing to pay over the odds for something I feel passionate about – and I guess you may be too if you’re a Star Wars’ aficionado and are considering purchasing this lightsaber. Personally, I think the price is steep – but then I’ve never seen Star Wars or any of its sequels/prequels, much as this will sound like heresy to devotees of the George Lucas franchise.

I gave this Kimimara Lightsaber to someone who loves Star Wars and space-themed stuff in general. He liked it. It’s a great novelty with its 12 colours, 3 sound modes and 5 different sound effects. He’s intending to incorporate it into his ‘Space’ display and he’s glad to have it. When it’s not part of the collection, he’s intending to use it for the odd fancy dress party.

However, even he was surprised at the asking price which he thought was perhaps around 15-20 too high. It’s not so much an item that’s suitable for children – it’s much more aimed at adults even in terms of its size. It also has a little weight to it, which I imagine adds to the authentic feel. But what do I know? It needs assembling – not difficult – and charges via a USB cable that’s supplied.

Certainly the lightsaber can provoke excitable reactions in other adults who recognise it’s supposed to be something out of Star Wars, not just Ikea’s latest lamp. My friend was the envy of his fellow 70 year old former school pals at a Zoom reunion get-together last week – even the one with the Aston Martin – so I’m forced to concede I may be missing something.

This is a high quality heavy duty lightsaber. It has many features and lots of colours to choose from.
It also has lots of speaking in the system and I love when it turns of it says “the power is weak”
It is great for cos play and also the teenage boy who loves this type of stuff. It does require some assembly but all is good

I was quite shocked at how expensive this is but looking at others available it’s among the cheapest.
I’m not a Star Wars fan but my son in law is so he found it thoroughly fascinating.
The instructions are very limited and that’s a bit frustrating as you have to guess most of the time to work out how to change the settings.
For the price I’d have expected a decent manual with plenty of instructions.
Having said that it works a treat, making all the right noises and would be a brilliant accessory if you’re into dressing up and going to conventions.
There’s an option to link 2 of these together for a duel light sabre.
    Lasts ages when fully charged.
It’s a thumbs up from the Star Wars fan.
Hope you found my review helpful

First of all, this is a great present for a true fan of Star Wars. But not really for others because expectations are quite high, but…

The saber comes packed well, nice box and sealed, all nice.
Inside there’s the handle, separately, the sword itself, the charging cable and pretty much that’s it.
The handle has to be attached to the saber, comes already charged and ready to use.

Turning it on and using it is quite nice and interesting but you get bored in about 5 minutes. Pushing the button on the handle, the saber will light and shooting sounds will be heard. When turning off the saber, it says something like – the war is not over or something like that.
The speaker for the sound is quite loud and the sound quality is pretty good.
The handle is metallic, feeling good in hand, the saber is plastic but quite sturdy as well and not very likely to bend or break.

    Now about cons:

    – omg, I’ve had so big expectations but got so little of it. The saber is not bright at all, maybe a bit brighter at the bottom but to the top it goes less and less bright.
    – the sounds are nice, but quite loud and there’s no way to turn down the volume, I didn’t see anything to fix this. And pretty much the same 3-4 sounds, getting a bit boring;
    – the charger comes USB to some proprietary charger, like a hole or something that’s not used anywhere else, meaning that if you ever lose that cable, technically no way to charge it with some other cable… They could put USB C…
    – the price… Oh, I’d never mind to pay this price for a really impressive saber but this one is just not worth the money. 80 for a half-bright saber, with 4 sounds only and strange charging cable… At least is is built quite sturdy, but still…

I think I just had high expectations because of the pricing. Firstly, I was underwhelmed by the packaging. It was sealed but was expecting it to be in a solid box that I can also use as a presentable and decorative storage when not in use. Second, you need to use screws to put it together securely. I expected it to have snap closure or threaded. Third, you have to familiarise or memorise the functions and how to set up lights, sounds and effects as it only have one button for control and set-up. Basically, you have to remember how many flashes/blinks for a certain function. I wish there was a dedicated button to turn the sound on/off. It is very interactive though and we love it. Great for cosplay, costume parties or just simply to live your starwars dream.

My first impressions of this lightsaber were very good. I was looking forward to putting it together. It took me longer than I care to admit that it was the two small tiny screws that you had to screw in the two holes and not the two bigger (spares) ones they come with!
The colours are brightish but not as bright and vibrant as you would think from the advertised pictures.
It is not too heavy but heavy enough that it doesn’t feel too cheap.
The lightsaber comes with a usb charging cable; it takes about 3 hours to fully charge.
I let my husband have this, and he was really pleased with it. It wouldn’t be suitable for children in my opinion.
The sound effects are ok, and I like that it makes a sound when you are swinging it. I do feel that it’s a bit tempremental and decides what it wants to do itself sometimes! Ie – doesn’t always turn on right away, makes random noises.
There wasn’t a user manual included, only a bit of paper with ‘instructions’ printed on it. I would prefer a proper instruction manual because I feel I’ve spent more time playing with it to see how it works when I could’ve just read how to do it. (Figuring out the switches and how to change the colour/sounds, etc. Also, my whole mix-up with the screws could’ve been avoided!
Overall, it’s ok. If you like lightsabers, you will like this but very expensive in my opinion.

This lightsabre fascinated me, I’m not well into Star Wars like some but I have a family member who is, I have to say the first thing that I thought was a bit of a shock is the price, at the end of the day it is just a torch on a stick but to some I guess it’s a lot more than that.
It comes in two halves all you have to do is attached the tube with the screw’s provided and it’s ready to go, the handle which has all the electronic bits in is made of alloy so it has a nice solid feel, the light tube is some kind of tough plastic which they say will take a fair bit of knocking about.
Turning it on is just a case of pushing the button and it lights up with a swooshing sound, playing with the button the light changed to a white strobe effect not shown in my video, pressing the button again it went back to the original mauve, it was now that I decided to read the instruction’s as I knew it was supposed to change colour and it was only going from mauve to flashing, everything is controlled by that little button and I found it quite difficult, to set the sound level you have to make sure the sabre is in standby status and the blade is not on then press the button until the blue ring blinks once then let go and then by pressing the button you can scroll through low, med or high, the first thing I found was that button is quite small and my thumb covered the buttons light so I had to press it with the tip of my finger so I could see the buttons light, changing the light colour is the same kind of process but the blade has to be illuminated to set the colour, I have not managed knowingly to go through the different sound fonts yet.
The problem I had was that somehow I was managing to turn the sound off whilst playing with it and the same with the lights I was inadvertently switching the modes on and off and changing things without wanting too, maybe more playing around with this and I will get used to it I mean it can’t be that difficult.
Charging is just a simple one pin plug and a USB connector, you get extra screws and a little Allen key in the box.

I’ve never actually seen one like this before, it seems very legit (if that’s the word) for what it is. The product functions very well, the noises and illuminations it makes are very good and realistic. I imagine for a hardcore star wars fan it would be an ideal gift. It is a lot heavier than it looks but its still easy to handle and swing around.

This is a decent lightsabre which would be great for fancy dress or as a toy, the light effects and sound quality are good. I found that it took quite a hard strike to get the electronic ‘clash’ sound, which (for me) was a bit of a drawback – children might do a bit of damage trying to get the clash working so I suggest that you supervise their play duelling, at least initially.

The internal battery took a couple of hours to charge up fully, but after that it held its charge well. The quality of this lightsabre is good, the hilt is made from aluminium and it feels pretty robust – the ‘blade’ is a hollow translucent plastic. The light is very bright and shines from the end of the hilt through the centre of the blade, which gives the ‘glowing’ effect.

This lightsabre looks great, however at the time of my review it would cost you just shy of 40 – which is a wee bit expensive.

In listing it’s called a lightsaber, but when you get the box it’s actually branded as light sword.

Handle is plain and it only has 1 sound font, the humming and a strike sound. There’s no swinging sound.

But it’s still a decent starting point for videos.

  30. KarolinStecker says:

For a toy this isn’t too bad. I do like it but find the continuous droning sound it makes a little annoying. The other thing that certainly needs improving is the sound it makes when something is striked with it. As the lighsaber is a weapon in the Star Wars trilogy one can only expect this to be used for hitting others, in play of course. The thing is, it takes a hard strike to get the light to flash and the sound to activate so I would certainly not give this to young children.

The person using this lightsaber is in his mid teens and is a big fan of Star Wars and Doctor Who. He collects anything to do with those movies / programs and was well excited to get this lightsaber. He actually carries it around on his person when not at school .

The light itself is bright and it can be scrolled through the RGB colours to select one’s favourite. The LED light is not in the tube, it’s in the handle and brighly shines up the tube to give a constant coloured glow.

The quality of this lightsaber is good, it is well built and it does deliver good value but I have knocked one star off it’s rating for that droning sound it constantly makes. That is an area to be improved so one can have sound options available rather than just the one. I am recommending this as it is but would have highly recommended it if there were sound modes available and a few more colours.

The handle unit contains all of the necessary controls encased in aluminium. The blade is plastic and I have wondered how long this would last in an enthusiastic exchange between two individuals acting out their favourite jedi knights moments. The unit is fairly simple, there are no amazing innovations but, it does the job and looks the part in the dark. The sounds seem to be genuine Star Wars effects and if you buy further units, these can be screwed together to get the twin blade light saber.

    Pros

DURABILITY: I was pleasantly surprised at how hard it could get hit without breaking.
EFFECTS: Has a combination of light and sound effects when it hits something or another lightsaber.
RGB: In total, this lightsaber has 7 different colours to choose from.
RECHAGEABLE: No batteries required, just need to recharge.

    Cons

CHARGING PORT: It would have been great if the charging port was USB-C or Micro-USB; however, it uses a barrel connector, which is a bit harder to find the exact type should you lose it.

I will start with the things I like about this, the handle is of great quality metal and the lighting effect is nice and diffused so looks absolutely epic at night, this is perfect for anyone dressing up for a StarWars themed night or fancy dress, the two things I think could be better are the plastic sword part, it feels a bit cheap, especially with such a nice base and the sound effects could be better also, all in all, 4 stars from me.

  35. Anonymous says:

The light saber comes in two parts, the plastic saber tube and the base. They can make into one piece by screw in the base to the saber. The base has an on off button to control the light on off and the colour changing. Long press to switch off. It’s fun to see the light saber on but the sound that comes with it is quite annoying and no way of changing sound. I wish they can place an on off button for the sound function too. The charging is simple, use the USB cable provided for charging and it last quite a bit of time. If the sound is no that mono tone, I would give it a five stars.

If you have a small person in your life who is a Star Wars fan, then they will want one of these.

And I mean small. The lightsaber is only 78cm long when fully assembled, and the ‘blade’ is just 54cm. It’s ideal for junior cosplayers or costumers, but too small for an adult.

The hilt part is metal and includes the rechargeable battery. The blade is a tube of plastic. The two screw together with a metal thread. The ‘blade’ part is quite strong. It wouldn’t survive a couple of grownups going at it, but for kids it should be fine. The hilt is a bit plain, but every Jedi’s lightsaber is unique, so I see this as an opportunity for a bit of customisation.

The toy does light up and make the right noises. When you press the stud it makes the authentic ‘Psssshhhwww…zzzzummm…zzzzummmm’ noise, exactly as it should. When you wave it about, it doesn’t change the sound though, which is disappointing. There is a sensor inside, so when you hit something with the lightsabre it does make the appropriate ‘TSSSHH’ sound. Supervised play only, if you have anything breakable in your house!

You can change the colour of the blade by repeat pressing the stud, and you have a choice of blue, red, green, purple, pink, orange and some others. Mine always starts off blue, and if I want it to be green or red, I have to keep pressing the button.

You can attach two blades to one handle to make a double-ended ‘saberstaff’ for the miniature Darth Maul in your life. Only one blade is supplied, so I can’t actually test this function.

I can only comment on the toy in this review, not the listing or description. The toy is actually pretty good, so I’ve given it four stars. It seems a bit expensive, but it is metal construction and has a rechargeable battery. A grownup sized lightsaber is going to cost 100 or more, so if you are a cosplayer or costumer and are looking for a child-sized lightsaber, this is a pretty good option.

This is a cool saber, no it’s not screen accurate or any kind of accurate for that matter, but still pretty cool.

Out of the box it comes in two parts, the hilt and the actual sword itself, you can just screw them in together as they fit in tightly and securely.

There is also a charging cable where you can charge the 18650 battery inside, the charging port is in an unfortunate position which is right on top of the power button, i wish it was more hidden, but oh well.

There are 7 different colours, all of which are pretty screen accurate, except the white version of it, which i thought was a nice addition, the light is surprisingly good as it flows really well and evenly through the “blade” there are no visible weak light spots which is great, this is true for every different colour.

The saber does have sound, although not very loud, still loud enough, i wish there was a way to turn the sound off to just have the saber on display but that’s ok, you have stationary sound, sound when turn it on or off, when switching colours and when hitting something, there is no sound when moving it around sadly but that’s expected at this price point. The sound loop is also not great in my opinion but i understand they may have had to change it enough as to not have any copy right issues.

The saber hilt is 24cm and the blade is 54cm making it a total length of 78cm, which is a good size to be honest as it’s not very short for an adult and not too large for a child.

It is a bit on the thin side, which i found to be good as more accurate sabers are usually way too thick, so again this will work just fine for an adult and child.

For the price you do get a decent saber, it’s aluminium and quite solid build, so you can knock it around and be fine, although i wouldn’t do it too hard.

Overall, it’s a good entry if you don’t want to pay up for a premium version that will do the same thing as this one does.

This lightsaber sword does deliver on sounds when moving it around and also makes a special contact sound when it touches your opponent. There’s a choice of 7 colours, Depending on your mood and choice of light/Dark role play, This is definitely a crowd pleaser and a fun toy for both kids and adults alike.

The handle screws into itself, And it’s USB charged, Saving money on batteries. Overall it’s a very good design, But i do wish it came in pairs of 2, As i had a lot of fun swishing my sword around my husband, But he couldn’t defend himself very well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users78cm long lightsaber with sounds. There is a switch on the handle that turns the saber on and then if pressed again allows you to change the colour of the blade by cycling through the available 7 colours. The saber comes with a hex key to attach the blade to the handle, a USB A charging cable (the plug of which lights up when charging) and an instruction sheet.

It is a good lightsaber although the sounds aren’t changeable and the other thing I noticed was the white in the blade doesn’t reach the end of the blade (as per photo) which is only a minor cosmetic issue. The saber feels well built – the handle is aluminium and has some weight to it and the blade is quite durable too.

    Good functional lightsabe
