Very impressed with this little shop vac. Provides excellent suction and is perfectly happy sucking up wet and dry material. I use mine for car interior valeting and it does a great job of sucking up shampoo sprayed into carpets and seats. The filter does get quite wet during use, but I just take it off afterwards and leave it somewhere to dry out.

Really well designed and built vacuum. It’s loud, so you may need ear protection. Perfect for attaching to power tools for DIY woodwork projects and car cleaning. The power cable is short compared with a Henry so you’ll need an extension lead.

We bought this to help us during a big house renovation project. It’s actually a good vacuum and the bag certainly helps keep all the dust in when we empty. It is not so good if you simply want to use it to Hoover around carpets as it doesn’t really have a very suitable head but for our purposes, it’s done fine.

Cord is short and the add ons are criminally expensive for what you get 35 pound for two pieces of plastic! Really. Thought they’d conned me out the wheels for ten minutes. Colours nice marcher colour ain’t it. Works really well lifts my carpet the suctions that strong

Fantastic suction, I knocked a ceiling out of my spare bedroom and it was a nightmare to clean up, my vax and old rubble vac really struggled, I got this and it worked a dream on the dust and bulk of smaller bits with the hose. Its also a great household vac, I would have changed the rubber/plastic head on the main vac for something less catchy but for this price its fine as I can just use my Vax for a quick run around the housed this for more heavy duty work.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve only just used this once outside but was really pleased with the performance! It cleaned the interior of my car quickly and also hoovered up stones in the driveway.
This will be great on decking, sheds and cobwebs, artificial grass etc and it also hoovers up liquid in just as powerful a fashion. Really impressed for the price.

Sturdy, lightweight and compact. Stores easily. Very easy to assemble. Only tried dry vac so far and does a good job.
Only niggle so far is that it is quite noisy!
Nice little vac for a decent price.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI bought this on Amazon because it had a special offer going, and was less than 60 for what seemed like a decent, powerful bit of kit. I’ve owned a lot of hoovers over the years, from the dead cheap (and useless) to the ridiculously expensive (and ultimately useless – I’m looking at you Dyson). Without a doubt this is the best hoover I’ve had to date. A very reasonable price, no unnecessary frills. Easily assembled – just pop in the wheels that are contained in the body. The motor is in the upper half and the lower half is all a container for the dirt/dust and you have an optional bag. The hose and pipe simply plug in. They come in two parts so you can adjust how long a pipe you have and are perhaps a little basic, but then you don’t really need shiny chrome and fancy features if the machine has the power of a trojan – which this does. It’s a bit noisy but by gum – it sucks! And that’s all I want it to do. It’s very light, and moves well on the casters. It can cope with wet and dry and be used outside for some fairly heavy grade detritus. It even has a blow function if you need it. I’m not one for getting enthusiastic about domestic appliances, but I make an exception for Karcher.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt comes out as quite a plasticky piece of equipment, but it was a cheap price, so fair enough. We bought it to hoover up leaves in our garden and it does a very good job of that, so we are pleased.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve only used for a few days, its super light, easy to move around, good cord length ( better then my old hover) the suction is fantastic… great on carpet, better then my 200 vac, that now in bin.. and works just as well on hard floor, it even managers to collect the dust that gets trapped between the skirting and carpet, which my old vac couldn’t manage … I haven’t tried the wet system yet, that’s my project for tomorrow.. simple going to wet the carpets use 1001 .. and see how it goes. 10/10

I bought this to replace a very heavy garden vacuum which I struggle to carry and empty.
The Karcher wet and dry vac is so lightweight and easy to manoeuvre on its wheels that I can now blow all the leaves that gather on my patio and driveway and then vacuum them up easily and quickly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou wont believe how powerful this is!!
    And it only costs 60!!!
You can’t buy a 1,000 watt vacuum cleaner
I asked the community on Amazon what they thought of it, every one of the replies were positively. One said that it was noises and it is. Only slightly. Buy it you won’t be disapponted

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI used this to suck water out of my carpet after I had scrubbed it. The impression I had when I bought this was that it could be used like a hoover. The flexible hose connecting on to the straight tubes is awkward to manipulate. The foot wasn’t connecting to the floor with enough suctiion to lift the water out effectively.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe lead is a bit too short as for external use and suction power is good but could be better.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase, does the job when vacuuming the car or garage.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersSo i broke my last 2 hoovers(i ran 1 into the wall and pulled the wire out the other) and was left with a handheld plug in. It was really useless but i was sad to hear that they are no longer making them larger than 850watt because of green people, and i have long hair and a cat thats shedding too. So i find this, bought it a bit worried because its for hard floors, but most of my home is hard floor and the carpet i have is short shagged. Its really bought the colour back, ive used it on a rug, and i got cocky and started to hoover my throw that was still on my sofa. The trick is to go with the flow quickly. Very good suction, i advise its not for weak arms, its lightweight empty, and the wheels are multidirectional, but you need a bit of elbow grease if used on carpet. The box was scuffed up and was handed to me sideways, but everything was good and working. The wire is shorter that most ive had, so may need an extention lead in longer hallways.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this wet and dry vacuum cleaner, I didn’t realise that Krcher even make these.

The blower function is really handy, the suction is also great for wet and dry substances. This is incredibly easy to assemble and to use. The casing feels light but durable. It also stores away well.

Would definitely recommend this cleaner and blower.

    Powerful and versatile cleaner/blower.

I was pleasantly surprised that Krcher did a wet and dry vacuum that also offers a blowing function for cleaning leaves off the driveway, I’ve always assumed that Krcher only made jet washes.
This compact multifunctional vacuum/blower is perfect for the shed or garden, it will quickly help you clean out the patio as well as the garage. The accessories that come with this vacuum are basic but effective. No fancy brushes or weird attachments – just a simple crevice extension to reach the difficult areas.
I use this vacuum to clean my car, being able to blow off debris and detritus and vacuuming up small pools of wayward water really helped me get the car into tiptop shape but the final process of polishing.
A very good practical vacuum cleaner that is compact and sturdy.

I needed a vacuum cleaner which can suck up water and this one does the job well.
It’s not heavy and can be used for any work needed. It has 2-way functions – sucking the air and blowing the air, can be used outside and inside. It is powerful, I washed my carpet and used this vacuum cleaner, it sucked a lot of water and helped to decrease the drying time of the carpet. Great gadget to have for any job.

This is great for all hard surfaces indoors or outdoors and the wet or dry feature makes it invaluable for a garden and a home with dogs and muddy floors in the hallway. It blows as well so good for leaves or clearing the patio. Excellent for the money. A real time saver.

This is a powerful little beast and seems to be excellent value for money. it is very simple/basic but with no rotors there is no clogging when unexpected items get sooked up. The suction seems to be evenly distributed over the head and it performs pretty well on carpeted floors. It’s true calling though, are the laminate floors – It makes very short work of cleaning the dirt from them, so much faster than my cordless vax. The big capacity collection chamber make life easy too.
On the down side, It is no good for stairs, an upward tug on the hose renders it quite unstable and if it falls over it has a fit (triggers a valve that increases the rate of suck – you have to switch it off and back on again). Other than that I am very very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersQuick verdict: This Krcher WD 2 Plus Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner is pretty impressive. Its best features are the light weight, solid handle, ease of use and the blower function, which is handy for garden, cleaning old electronics and antiques, and drying your car for detailing. Although it’s a bit of a compromise in places, it’s good value and cleverly designed. It lacks bundled accessories, but comes with the basics.

For the price it offers a lot of versatility and some clever design features, but it’s got a couple of compromises. For everything that it does well, it lacks any sort of cable storage. That’s about the limit of the downsides, though – it’s a safe, solid buy and a great addition to your shed or garage.

If you want more detail – keep reading.

So – I normally associate Krcher with jet washes, and this is a new product to me. I’ve used the fairly obvious two alternatives – the orange bucket on wheels and the cheerful red fellow – and they both had their own pros and cons. This is not directly comparable with either, while it does a lot of what both offer for a very competitive price.

    What’s in the box:

You get the vacuum bucket and motor, hose with two rigid extensions, a wide bar head with clip-in brush and wiper, and a crevice tool. There’s also a pre-fitted canister air filter, four wheels to push in to the base, and a vacuum bag which you would use if wanting an indoor vac – as a shop vac, leave that off and let the canister do the work.

It’s all very lightweight, flexible plastic – softer than the brittle shells of some other brands – and looks very repairable with clips holding the bucket to the wheeled base and so forth. The wheels are packed inside the vacuum bucket, so if you unpack it and wonder where they are – look inside!

The hose attaches with a simple push fit/click and is designed to be quickly detached – as it can also be attached to the exhaust of the motor to act as a blower.

Once you’ve pushed the wheels in it’s stable and follows you about like an obedient little vacuum puppy. If you’ve had the other brands of wet & dry vac you’ll appreciate the soft, easy-fit clamps that hold the motor to the bucket, they’re very easy to fasten and undo.

What’s less impressive, but acceptable for the price, is the main ‘brush’ attachment. It’s flimsy, and the main part clips in with big plastic clips. This does mean it can be dismantled for cleaning, but it feels very cheap. The crevice tool and plastic hoses are as basic as you like, nothing fancy, nothing wrong.

With the tools popped onto their storage slots and the cable coiled up, it’s easy and lightweight to pick up with the chunky handle.

Using as a vacuum – wet and dry.

Unless you’ve cleaning for hypoallergenic purposes, you don’t need to worry about the bag. The cleaner’s cartridge filter means you can just get to work on any mess, dust or spills, and empty the compact bucket easily. Because the bucket (or bin if you prefer) is so small and light, it’s easy to empty and can’t hold so much stuff it gets unreasonably heavy.

The power control is big, easy to operate and takes lessons from the jet washes. You could operate this with gloves on, no worries – but it is just on/off, no speeds, and the only visual confirmation it’s on is the position of the dial.

The hose and crevice tool work very well, there’s plenty of suction. The brush end for car carpets is less impressive – hopefully there will be a compatible upholstery brush out there. However the rubber strip does flick dry dirt out of the carpet – I wouldn’t want to use it on nice interior trim after it’s been used a few times for dirtier jobs though.

It does come apart for cleaning – but given how simple it is, hopefully a spare wouldn’t be that expensive.

For wet cleaning I gave it a challenge I hate tackling – my MX-5’s roof lets water through and at this time of year it’s grim. The rubber wiper and suction dried the roof out very quickly – no more raindrops in the car – and as a bonus that rubber blade is also very good at removing defrosted ice from the inside of the windscreen as well, working like a squeegee.

FInally, I used it to clean up a load of mess of rust and mud swept up from one of my old cars. It managed that perfectly, as you’d expect.

When the bucket was emptied the filter was already quite dirty, and had a wet patch from the water. There is a foam filter alternative and that may be a better choice for more frequent wet cleaning.

    Blower functions.

I used to use a blower for drying my car – it was almost 3x the motor power of this, and quite impressive. However, this proved very useful – fit the crevice tool and it achieved two things I’m impressed with. First of all, you can just vacuum up water drops that fell into the car from the door shuts, then swap over and blow the water out of the gaps in the door handle, mirrors and seals. This is really useful when polishing, as you often end up with trapped water spoiling the finish.

Second, it de-iced the doors! They were beginning to thaw a little, but with the blower attachment I could quickly clear all the ice from the windows and more importantly, the frozen door shuts. It’s not heated but it’s above freezing, and that’s enough to free off a stuck window or door shut.

I also tested it as a leaf blower – I’m impressed. It moved some moss off the concrete as well as loose leaves.

This moderate power as a blower also means it’s useful for cleaning old computers, where you can blow all the dust away and avoid the risk of physical or static damage to components from vacuuming.

    Summary:

Neat touches: The blower, the two tool/hose storage rings on top, the large, easy to use handle and power switch, acceptable noise levels.

Downsides: Flimsy accessories may not last as long as the rest, no power cable storage (the larger one has a hook).

Overall a really neat, compact and efficient workshop or garage vacuum that’s perfect for cleaning cars and cleaning up spills, and even comes in handy for gardening thanks to the blower. Very well designed for the price, and good value. Very much recommended.

Lightweight, versatile garage vacuum that's super-easy to use
