Hours of fu
Superb construction set. Took several hours over 2 days to complete. Lego is great for teaching patience and concentration and the more complex sets build confidence. This was present from grandparents, Santa brought Fire Station which was even more fun.
Grandson loves it, especially working working searchligh
A little bit flimsy in places but overcome by using base plate
its lego
very pleased with this lego it is a Christmas present for my granson!!!
Got to love Lego
Bought for grandchilds 4th birthday. Happy dad too because he got to build it! Grandchild hasn’t stopped playing with it.
Your nicked keep quiet.
This was a gift for my grandson at Christmas. He loves Lego and it keeps him quiet for a few days.
Very good
Very good product, me and my son spent almost 3 hours building it but we had so much fun doing it together and he absolutely likes it!! thanks again!
Great toy
My son loves this
And plays for hours with i
Decent set overall
This is great set, although rather similar to another police station set that I had recently. I think Lego put out quite a few of the same sets these days with not much variation between them. That aside, I got this for my nieces ever growing Lego collection and she loves it.
There are quite a few figures included with this set including a couple of dogs, along with a few vehicles too. The set itself is comprised of several buildings that all piece together to create one big set. As with many of the other big sets the pieces are in numbered bags and you build each part of the set individually, which makes it easier if younger ones are constructing it.
There’s quite a lot to this set in terms of the number of figures and the different rooms that make up the overall build. RRP is about 90 with Amazon selling at the moment for 75 which seems a little steep for what you get and the fact that this is a Lego own set and not a licenced set.
Another amazing Lego adventure.
This LEGO City 60246 Police Station set is an amazing set containing over 700 pieces. Included in this are buildings, vehicles, seven characters, police dogs, lights, sounds effects and even a drone and a table tennis table. There really is so much in this one box to fire a child’s imagination for hours and hours. As with most Lego sets there is often a great deal of flexibility as to how the components can be put together to change the size, shape and dimensions of the buildings or layout, all of which add to the fun and creativity. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, although some younger children will need a little bit of guidance to get the more complicated parts put together. Keeping all of the pieces together and ready for the next time can be a challenge but it’s a small price to pay for what is a fantastic set.
The LEGO Group, is a Danish toy production company based in Billund. It is best known for the manufacture of LEGO-brand toys, consisting mostly of interlocking plastic bricks. The LEGO Group has also built several amusement parks around the world, each known as Legoland, and operates numerous retail stores.
You have got to love Lego to pay this high price and some will. For me Lego has entered the highend build, let me explain. The known supercars and aircrafts from known movies – That’s is what I like and would pay the asking money – aimed at adults and older children.
Lego has something for all age groups. I believe this Police Station Building is aimed for the 4 year old and above. Hours of fun building and then hours of fun playing and imagining catching the bad guys.
It’s a full Police Station build – great detail with some futuristic setup – Helicopter pad. The beat thing is you can build the Police Station as you wish – Placing the cells or the car barriers where you want.
Hours of fun, but the price is just a little steep.
Kids love i
An amazing Lego set. It’s one of those that won’t finish in a day and keeps the kids interested and learning. Encourages coordination skills and using the mind to build. A lot of components in this Lego set, a lot to do. You don’t have to build all in one block, everything can be broken down and built in smaller versions. There is a lot to play around with. Kids enjoy it and said it is the best Lego set they have played with so far. For the money definitely worth it and there is so much to do with this. Very pleasing
Great Set, Adaptable and Fu
I’m not sure even LEGO would know at this point how many iterations the City Police Station has gone through over the years. I remember owning at least two different ones myself over thirty years ago and they seem to come up with a new one every year or two. So here is their latest offering.
LEGO is always improving how they do things. Modern sets (bigger ones, anyway) usually come in several numbered bags. You start with bag 1 and keep going until you have your finished model. This makes the set easier to build (the first time at least, unless you’re as anal as I am and put the bricks all back into the appropriate bags as you take it apart backwards!) and also much easier for younger children to build. Sifting through smaller piles of pieces is much easier than trying to start with every piece of the model in one huge pile.
The next thing I love about this set is how the building is modular. It is actually four buildings (built using four different sets of instructions) and one of the sets includes two joining bits that you use to fix all the buildings together at the angles you see in the picture. This also means you can change the order of the buildings if you want to mix it up a bit.
I will be giving this to my daughter for her fifth birthday. Looking at the instructions it will just be about right for her level (though the box suggests 6+) but every child is different. She got a LEGO Creator dinosaur set for Christmas that was age 7-12 and she managed that with minimal help.
LEGO is a toy that is permanently evolving and has always held enormous appeal with children. I don’t see that changing any time soon and am very happy to see my girls now growing up loving LEGO as much as I did.
#60246: LEGO City Police Statio
I don’t think I have ever had a LEGO set which has disappointed, they always seem to have a variety of sets to choose from (naturally I choose the ones I’m interested in, which is probably why I’m never disappointed).
This set is quite quirky and has a good mixture of people, dogs and vehicles to go with the main building.
When it comes to building, you have two options of instructions, the paper booklets and a digital guide; I’m not sure how new the digital guide is but it’s the first time I have seen it. I’m glad they have provided both options.
If you want to build via the digital guide, you will need to download the app called ‘Instructions Plus’; this app does require an internet connection when in use. You can either scan the QR code located on the instruction booklet #1 or alternatively search for the set manually, including by the set number. Once selected, it will add it to your “set”, so you can easily access them where it will give you the choice to select what you intend to build and will give you a step-by-step guidance. I personally prefer the paper booklet but it’s certainly good they are pushing further digitally.
I thought the build was great fun to do and the overall result does pretty cool. The subjective part is the price which is retailed in at 86 (at the time of review), I think it’s a little steep for what it is but that’s my personal opinion. Regardless, it’s still a decent set.
Breaking Free
There is a lot to the Lego City Police Station but like any other Lego set, it’s broken down into bags (7 in this set) and booklets (6 in total) so I do like it starts off with some of the characters and vehicles so they can quickly see the results of their efforts. There is a lot of attention to detail with separate rooms including a table tennis room, pizza in the oven, mug shot space, computers, skateboard and movable parts where the bad guys can blow up the walls, a barrier to get in, search light, plus working lights and sounds on the police car – thankfully not too noisy! The police station was a bit smaller than I expected but definitely has a lot of play value and imagination. I really like there’s quite a few characters included – even has 2 dogs so they are not as restricted and can play with the vehicles or even parts of the building separately or build their own. Is it worth 90? I think for all you get then it’s justifiable.
True Lego Magic - a fantastic set.
This was a great fun build – it too my 2 kids a full afternoon, and they were able to just work away at it in unusually happy harmony, no no adult interference. This set show off all the best things about Lego – it is satisfying, imaginative and full of humour and detail. The instructions are easy to follow and complete – you know where you are with Lego.
The police chief rides a skateboard, there is a little table tennis table in the staff room, there is a very cute mugshot camera and height chart in the reception area. The sneaky criminals can mount a jail break by blowing up the bars of the cell (lever operated from behind). There are lots of fun characters for imaginative play and this also works well as a Lego animation set.
The police car has lights on the roof and a siren and the roof of the station is fitted with a search light – The whole thing is very playable.
There are a lot of good structural bits in this kit which will be a welcome addition to any Lego fans tool kit once the original model has been dismantled.
My son says that this has been his second favourite ever Lego build (after the death star that took 2 weeks to complete), that is high praise indeed.
A fully Interactive audio and visual police station Lego se
This comprehensive Lego set has a main police station with a huge array of accessories to use for imaginative story time. This fully interactive kit includes handcuffs, Skateboard, Sticks of dynamite and an array of other gadgets. The set includes LED lights and Audio sounds to stimulate the senses during play. The characters really make the story come to life, And with a choice of criminals, Police, And much more, Family time has endless possibilities. The only limitation is your imagination.
Not just an attractive self-build model it’s also an educational toy that’s fun.
Lego City Police Station is a huge project that will provide hours of fun, both during the construction, and afterwards in play.
The project is split into seven tasks and in the box are seven, numbered, transparent bags each containing all the Lego blocks and components for that individual task. Also included are brilliant construction guides for each task that gives the child (or adult) all the information needed to build the models, part by part, layer by layer, using only graphics. A sheet of self-adhesive labels provides the finishing touch.
Each page of the guide shows all the blocks needed for the current layer with an illustration of the completed layer. Sorting out the blocks is a great observational tool and building the layer develops manual dexterity.
The modular design means that the project can be split into bite-sized chunks that don’t rely on the completion of another component and can be tackled in any order. Building the model develops concentration skills, and completing the construction provides a great sense of achievement..
The Lego City Police Station is not just an attractive self-build model it’s also an educational toy that’s fun.
