Great set to build. Not entirely accurate or the correct scale for the Tallneck but enough elements and scenery to make an attractive object d’art. Could have had more articulation in the legs for different poses as it’s pinned on all four feet to hold it stable.
I am a big fan of the franchise and a huge lego fan.
I did look to put led lights on (as I have with many other models) but after a looking at the images in game there really isnt much in the way of lights on the Tallneck.
This was a fairly simple build, but looks great. Personally I prefer this to a fan statue. I know if I wanted to add more watchers I could with some more lego and imagination.
Bought this for my son. He loves the game and he has been asking for this for ages. Finally got it for him, although it is expensive, it kept him busy for 2 days. The final figure was quite big so I would say it would be worth the money.

So much fun to build, a great set with so many cool details that show how much effort was put in. I really hope more machines become available and soon!
The set contains 1222 pieces, so even if you’re paying full RRP it comes in comfortably under the 10p/piece threshold which a lot of AFOLs use to gauge a set’s value for money. The fact that the set only contains one minifigure is largely contributory to this relatively low price (especially for a licensed set), but in no way detracts from what an overall great display piece this is.
As with many 18+ sets, the instruction book includes several pages talking about the Tallneck’s presence in the games, and the process of designing its Lego counterpart. It’s a feature which I believe started with the UCS Star Wars sets, and for those of us who enjoy a little background knowledge, it’s great to see it appear in more and more sets outside of a galaxy far, far away.
The build time for myself was a whisker over 4 hours, and that was taking things at a leisurely pace. The set comes in 8 numbered bags for ease of construction, with the first 3 being dedicated to the large scenic base, and the following 5 to the colossal Tallneck itself. The base could have easily ended up being a tedious build, but the Lego designers put in enough detail to keep the process interesting. I’m particularly fond of the sagging traffic lights, overgrown with plant life, but the miniature Watcher is also a delight, with options of blue, yellow or red lenses, to indicate a passive, alert or hostile status accordingly. You’ll also find a small patch of tall grass, perfect for Aloy to take cover while she stalks her quarry.
The Tallneck build involves very little repetition. While the left and right legs are mirror builds of each other, the front and hind legs are different enough in design to keep you from feeling bogged down whilst building. The disc-shaped head is accomplished using some interesting build techniques, and results in an almost perfect circle, often difficult to accomplish with Lego’s blocky nature. The bulk of the Tallneck is comprised of black and white plates, with some blue-grey and sand coloured pieces thrown it to give it some much needed contrast, and a few gold pieces to really make the set pop.
Once assembled and on display, you could almost be forgiven for overlooking that it’s a Lego set. The Tallneck itself is very short on visible studs, presenting a very clean looking model which looks incredible. The base has a much more classic Lego look to it, which personally I’m a fan of as I still like my Lego sets overall to be identifiable as Lego (otherwise you may as well just buy a model kit).
Additional touches of detail are provided through the use of stickers. These are a divisive point amongst AFOLs, for me personally I’m happy enough with them as long as a set doesn’t go overboard. The Tallneck doesn’t include a ridiculous number, and the metallic silver detailing on some of them contribute to giving the set that nice little technological touch to drive home the world Aloy lives in.
Once the Tallneck is built, the unarticulated legs slot into technic pins on the base, holding it securely in place. It makes the set surprisingly sturdy, but at the cost of losing any kind of posability. It took me a few adjustments to get the Tallneck’s posture correct to match the box art, but once I did it was very satisfying, and it certainly has a majestic feel to the pose.
On the subject of Aloy, her minifigure is one of the best I’ve seen in any Lego set. There is a ton of detail on the printing, including arms and legs, and two alternate expressions on the front and back of the head, so you can set her mood as desired. The hairpiece is long and drapes down over her shoulders, but has a softer, rubbery texture to it, enabling her head to still face slightly to the left and right. Her Focus is printed on the side of her head, and the hairpiece also includes a strategically placed hole to allow the Focus to be visible through it.
My only criticism of the minifigure (and to be fair, it’s not actually an issue with the minifigure itself) would be the bow. Her spear is a nice mini build, with the end result being undeniably Aloy’s spear, but the bow is just a generic, single-piece Lego bow. It would have been nice if this was a mini build in itself, in order to have it looking more like it belongs in the same world as the rest of the set.
Overall, this is an amazing set if you’re a fan of Horizon and Lego. Even if you’re just a Horizon fan, this may be the Lego set which gets you hooked! With a thoroughly enjoyable build, an excellent final display piece, a good price-per-piece value, and one of the nicest minifigures Lego have produced to date, I can’t recommend this one highly enough.
Love this set. Good build, great Aloy minifig and Watcher minibuild and it looks fantastic displayed on the base. Just wish they would release some of the other machines to sit with it now, a Thunderjaw and Ravager would be awesome next this!
This set is great value for money and extremely fun to build, making it one of my favourite sets. For the price the Lego set is huge with tons of detail and a cool base/scenery piece to tie the set together. 10/10 would recommend even if you have never played the game like me.
love it, recently got back into lego after 20 years, so i thought a horizon zero dawn kit (one of my fav games) would be a good place to start. and its now even cheaper as i write this. great purchase
This build was so fun to make. I love the platform that it comes with. It really brings the whole piece together. They did a great job with the alloy mini figure and it looks great in any set up on a shelf or just on your desk. I love it, and it is really one of my favourite Lego builds.

Der Aufbau hat gigantisch Spa gemacht und war mal etwas anderes als die ganzen Lego City oder Friends Pakete die hier noch so rumfliegen. Die Aufbaukomplexitt und Dauer richtig sich auch klar an Erwachsene – nicht Kinder. Selbst die Anleitung ist absolut liebevoll und klasse designed und aufgebaut. Ein Hammer fr Fans der Serie, ich selbst konnte bisher mangels Konsolenverfgbarkeit nur den ersten Teil der Serie spielen, aber whrend des Baus war die Lust schon immens hoch – es nochmal zu spielen 🙂
Der einzige Nachteil ist momentan ein Dauerbrenner bei LEGO: Aufkleber. Abgesehen davon gibts wirklich nichts zu meckern, ein schnes Set welches auch noch mal vernnftig eingepreist ist.

All the pieces present, clear instruction, took a couple of hours (where the fun is), now have a great model based on a game I enjoy.

Enkele avonden aan bezig geweest. Er zitten veel mooie details uit het spel in, zoals het oude stoplicht, de Watcher met oogkleur naar keuze en natuurlijk het speciale Aloy poppetje. Het ziet er mooi uit als het af is.
Volgens mij had de nek wat langer moeten zijn om de verhoudingen met het spel te laten overeen komen, maar dat is geen ramp. Toch knap hoe ze met gebruik van speciale blokjes het ontwerp uit het spel zo goed kunnen nabootsen.
Sobre la edad no puedo dar una opinin fiel, en mi caso fue un regalo para mi hijo de 10 aos, en teora la figura es para mayores de 18, pero es un “loco” de los lego (no sirve como ejemplo), lo que s puedo decir es que la figura es impresionante, merece la pena.
Uno dei set lego piu belli in assoluto logicamente da fan del gioco.

Das LEGO Set 76989 stellt eine Figur aus dem Computerspiel “Horizon Forbidden West” nach und zwar den “Langhals”. Das Set umfasst rund 1200 Teile und kommt in einem sehr edel in schwarz gestalteten Verpackungskarton daher. Zielgruppe sind Erwachsene (18+), die vermutlich optimalerweise auch eine Affinitt zum namensgebenden Computerspiel aufweisen.
Ich habe das Set von meinem 9-jhrigen Sohn aufbauen lassen, der von “Horizon Forbidden West” noch nie etwas gehrt hat. Ihm hat die Verpackung und der – mit der mitgelieferten Anleitung fr erfahrene Lego-Baumeister:innen – kinderleichte Aufbau sehr viel Spa gemacht. Die mitgelieferte Spielfigur (ich vermute, es handelt sich um die Heldin des Computerspiels) ist wirklich etwas ganz besonderes, das Set ist beeindruckend gro und sehr stabil – leider aber berhaupt nicht zum Spielen geeignet, sondern um es irgendwo hinzustellen und zu prsentieren. Das sollte man sich vor einem eventuellen Kauf auf jeden Fall bewusst machen.
Ansonsten handelt es sich um ein Lego-Set in typischer makelloser Lego-Qualitt, das ich mit herzlichen 5 von 5 mglichen Sternen bewerte. Da Lego quasi unkaputtbar ist und ggf. ber Generationen immer wieder neuen Spielspa bietet, ist das Set – wenigstens im Vergleich zu sehr sehr vielen anderen Kunststoffspielzeugen – auf jeden Fall “preiswert”, pdagogisch wertvoll und ein tolles Geschenk fr Klemmbausteinmeister:innen jeder Altergruppe.
Das Set ist ein wahrer Hingucker und macht sich gut in der Vitrine. Versand ging schnell und kam gut an.

One detail worth mentioning is that this set is more designed for displaying purposes, as it resembles a collector piece, and less so on playing with so parents who are thinking about buying this for your child I would put this into consideration.
The complete size of the Tallneck is around 30ish centimeter or around 13 inches which is quite large for a lego set.
The model itself is a very accurate depiction of the Tallnecks from the game, not to mention that it includes Aloy who has a custom head piece which has a small see through piece on the right side which resembles her Focus that she uses throughout the game; along side with a small model of a Watcher as well, which is another machine that you encounter in the game.
I really enjoyed this set, the instructions were very clear and is very sturdy so you don’t have to worry about it toppling over if you slightly knock it.
Obviously the only slight issue I have with this set is the hefty price that it is, 70 is what I bought it for at the time, however since that it is complete I don’t regret buying it.
Hoping that they do another set from this universe because there is a lot of potential with some of the machines in the game, a Thunderjaw or a Slaughterspine would be the best options on the top of my head since both machines are very large and have very unique designs.
Overall, if you’re either a lego fan or a fan of the games, or both, I strongly recommend buying this set.

Der “76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Langhals Modellbausatz, Set fr Erwachsene mit Aloy-Minifigur und Wchter-Figur, Zimmerdeko oder Geschenkidee aus dem Hause LEGO kam nicht superschnell (12 Tage) aber dafr sehr gut an. Im typisch stabilen, bunten und diesmal auch etwas grerem Karton. Zum Glck habe ich Bastel-Skalpelle, so habe ich den verklebten Karton schnell und einfach aufbekommen habe.
Darin findet man acht nummerierte Beutelchen mit den stabilen, bunten Steinchen. Allerdings auch lose im Karton eine grne eckige Grundplatte (8 x 16), eine grne Gummiverlngerung, ein kleines Blatt mit Aufklebern und ein richtig groes und buntes Anleitungsheft.
Das einen auf den ersten Seiten noch ein mal einfhrt in die Welt von Aloy. Leider nur in Englisch.
Und sogar eine kleine Aloy und ein Wchter sind mit dabei.
Mit immerhin 1222 Teilen fr zur Zeit 79,99 auch nicht zu teuer im Vergleich, finde ich. Und es wird empfohlen fr Bastler ab 18 bis zu 99 Jahren.
Ich kenne “Horizon Forbidden” als Zuschauer, bin auch ein groer Fan von SciFi und mag solche eher technischen Modelle auch sehr gern. Z
war hat man hier leider wieder nur Aufkleber und keine bedruckten Steine. Und die Grenrelationen zwischen dem Langhals und Aloy passen leider nicht so ganz. Normalerweise sind die Langhlse ja viel viel grer.
Aber die Freude beim Zusammenbau und danach einem Blick ins Bastel-Regal auf das Modell berwiegt bei mir.
Unser Fazit: Es hat wieder viel Spa gemacht. Die Qualitt ist wie gewohnt sehr gut. Fr Fans der Spieleserie ein wirklich schner Modellbausatz….

Wie von Lego gewohnt ist auch der LEGO Horizon Forbidden West Langhals Modellbausatz einwandfrei verarbeitet und die Verpackung hat ein ansprechendes Design. Der Bausatz beinhaltet schne Details und ist gut gemacht. Ein toller Bausatz fr Erwachsene, den man sich entweder selbst als Geschenk gnnen kann oder natrlich auch um jemand anderen damit eine Freude zu machen.
Ich bin begeistert und vergebe gerne fnf verdiente Sterne.
Das Horizon Forbidden West Set von LEGO kam sicher verpackt bei mir an. Der Karton weist auch keinerlei Kratzer oder Dellen auf, was mir gut gefllt, da ich die Kartons immer gerne behalte. Im Lieferumfang hat nichts gefehlt und alle Teile waren vorhanden.
Die Qualitt ist typisch fr LEGO natrlich auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Die ganzen Steine fhlen sich sehr hochwertig und robust an und mir sind keine Kratzer oder anderweitige Beschdigungen an den Steinen aufgefallen.
Der Anleitung konnte ich sehr gut folgen und nach einiger Zeit war ich mit dem Aufbau dann auch fertig. Dieser hat mir Spa gemacht, da der abwechslungsreich war und nicht so eintnig war, wie bei manch anderem Set.
Aufgebaut sieht das Set wirklich sehr schn aus. Das Design ist richtig gut gelungen und auf meinem Schreibtisch ist das Set ein echter Hingucker. Besonders wenn man das Spiel gerne gespielt hat, gefllt einem das dazugehrige LEGO Set natrlich noch besser. Die Farbkombinationen finde ich sehr ansprechend und auch das eine Aloy Minifigur enthalten ist, gefllt mir.
Fazit:
Ich bin mit dem Set sehr zufrieden. Besonders fr Fans von der Horizon Reihe ist das Set echt sehr cool. Der Aufbau hat Spa gemacht und optisch sieht das Ganze richtig gut aus. Ich kann das Set daher nur weiterempfehlen.
Il kit stupendo e neanche tanto complesso da montare (mi ha aiutato mio figlio di 9 anni). Ci sono alcuni componenti un po’ “lassi” che si smontano molto facilmente come il semaforo e la punta della lancia di Aloy.
Auf dieses Set habe ich schon lange gewartet und meine Vitrine ebenfalls.
Als groer Fan der Spiele-Reihe verfolge ich schon seit lngerem die neuesten Entwicklungen im Lego-Bereich und hoffe, dass da noch mehr kommt.
Preis-Leistung ist hier in Ordnung man bekommt fr seine knapp 80 Euro ganze 1222 Einzelteile und die Lego-Architekten haben hier ein wahrlich hbsches Set gebaut!
Das Zusammenbauen mit meinem kleinen Cousin hat uns beiden sehr viel Freude bereitet und wenn er lter ist, freue ich mich auch das Game mit ihm zusammen anzugehen.

Ich habe mich riesig gefreut, den LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Langhals Modellbausatz als Testprodukt erhalten zu haben. Endlich auch Horizon bei Lego!
Also nach dem schnellen erhalt in super schner Umverpackung direkt mit dem Aufbau des Langhalses begonnen. Hier ist der Aufbau dank der beiliegenden Schritt fr Schritt Anleitung super gut umzusetzen und nach einiger Bauzeit erstreckt sich der wunderschne Langhals auf seinem Podest. Ein wahres Meisterwerk!
Auch die Aloy-Minifigur und einer Wchter-Figur sind neben eingen Deko Elementen auf der Plattform im Lieferumfang enthalten und bringen hier ein wahres Deko Element fr wahre Legofans zum vorschein.
Die Verarbeitung ist hier wie von Lego gewohnt 1A und auch der Preis (derzeit 80E) finde ich fr dieses tolle Sammler Objekt gerechtfertigt.
Magnifique Lego pour tous les amateurs, amatrices, d’Horizon Forbidden West. Le grand-cou est juste incroyable, c’est la machine la plus emblmatique de la licence Horizon. Prvoyez de la place, le Grand-cou mesure 34 cm de hauteur et 21 cm de large, il comporte 1222 pices. Pas trop difficile monter mme si certaines phases demandent de la dlicatesse cause de la hauteur. Je l’ai fini en 2 jours sur plusieurs heures. Il a ainsi completer mes 2 POP “Gueule d’Orage-Thunderjaw pop n 634” et le “Veilleur-pop n 260”
Reu en bon tat et rapidement, je recommande.
Das LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West kommt ansprechend verpackt hier an. Es beinhaltet recht viele Einzelteile und der Aufbau dauert daher entsprechend.
Alle Einzelteile sind super verarbeitet und hochwertig. Lego eben.
Wenn man es dann erstmal zusammengebaut hat, sieht das LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West einfach super aus. Ideal fr Sammler. Zum Spielen ist es nicht geeignet.

Das LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West Set findet unser Sohn total klasse. Dieser hat schon mit seinen Freunden/in die beiden Videospiele auf der Playstation gezockt.
Insgesamt besteht das Lego Set aus 1222 Teilen. Der Modellbausatz von Langhals ist sehr liebevoll und detailliert designt. Ein echter Blickfang im Regal fr Fans ein Traum. Auch perfekt als Sammlerstck ungeffnet.
Mit dabei ist auch eine Aloy Minifigur mit Bogen und Speer. Insgesamt ist das Set in der Darstellung und den vielen Details sehr gut gelungen. Auch die Verarbeitungsqualitt berzeugt. Das Preis Leistungsverhltnis passt. 5 Sterne fr Fans.
Die Legofigur ist wirklich gut gemacht und kommt dem Spiel sehr nah. Hohe Qualitt wie eigentlich immer bei Lego. Leider war im Originalkarton eine Beule, schlecht fr Sammler, deswegen ein Stern abzug.
En cuanto lo ha tenido Amazon a la venta no he dudado en cogerlo, merece muchsimo la pena.
Als groer Fan der Reihe musste natrlich auch das lego set her und ich bin sehr zufrieden damit.
Hatte keine Probleme beim zusammenbauen, es hat sehr viel spa gemacht und das Lego set ist dem original aus dem videospiel gut nachemfpunden.
Hoffentlich nicht das letzte Lego set aus der Welt von Horizon.

Un lego assez grand exposer. Par contre du sur 2 points, la base manque de dtails, j’ai d faire quelques ajouts pour qu’elle soit plus jolie, et les jambes du long-cou sont articules par rapport au corps, mais rien ne les empchent de tourner, donc le long-cou bascule et se dboite dans tous les sens (s’il ne fait pas un plat au sol et fini en morceau)
Es ist ein wunderbar zusammengestelltes Set mit interessanten Bautechniken umd schnen Details. Die Aloy Minifigur ist eine der besten die ich je gesehen habe! Its definitiv sein Geld wert.
Loved building this. Was my first go at any Lego. Wasn’t too hard to build. Instructions were easy to follow.
La minifig d’Aloy est trs sympa et reconnaissable de loin comme de prs, et rentre directement dans mon top 10 des minifig sortie ce jour. Lego a pouss l’exprience jusqu’ fournir les trois couleurs, reprsentant l’tat de surveillance du veilleur, pour la pice reprsentant sa lentille.
Sur la base sur laquelle repose le grand cou, on retrouve diffrent lments comme les hautes herbes o se cache Aloy, ou un feu rouge recouvert de lierre, reprsentant la civilisation des anciens.
Niveau construction du grand cou, rien dire si ce n’est que c’est un rgal. Elle est satisfaisante du dbut la fin, et il est plaisant de raliser comment la crature prend vie entre nos mains.
Enfin niveau dco c’est le top, la reprsentation d’une des scnes iconique du jeu est l, la construction est solide et le grand cou ne risque pas de se faire la malle de sa base, moins de la prsence auprs de lui du prdateur naturel des Lego, le chat. Bon naturellement comme tous ses congnres ce lego reste un attrape poussire de premire ( un conseil: le plumeau en plumes d’autruche est fantastique sur ce genre de produit pour le nettoyage, mme si un coup de pinceau de temps en temps est ncessaire pour dblayer la poussire des petits recoins. )
Il ne reste plus qu’ esprer que d’autres modles des machines d’Horizon voient le jour en Lego

Sono amante collezionista dei Lego da diverso tempo, e, recentemente, ci sono stati diversi set ispirati ai videogiochi, da Mario a Sonic, la console Nes e diversi altri…
Horizon Forbidden West una esclusiva Playstation, ma un gioco molto diffuso di cui il “Collolungo” una icona particolarmente attraente; si potrebbero realizzare altri set sulle creature dell’ecosistema Horizon, ma questa sicuramente la pi rappresentativa.
Sicuramente il prezzo un p sopra la media, per via dei diritti, ma la qualit inappuntabile.
Raccomandatissimo agli amanti del videogioco e del mattoncino di qualit.

Achet par plaisir, je connais le jeu et j’ai ador y jouer. Quand j’ai vu que LEGO sortait le Tallneck, je me suis empress de le prendre. Le montage est sympa et une fois fini, il rend trs bien sur le meuble TV. La figurine Aloy est trs bien. J’en suis bien content.
Il costo, 80, mi sembra corretto

As a big fan of the games, I was so happy when they announced this set a few months ago, and was even more happy to finally build it. I must say, it is beautiful. Perhaps my favourite set I have ever owned. Would highly recommend for fans of the game.
One small thing to point out, this is the Tallneck in Devils Thirst from the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn, not Forbidden West, but who cares?

Un set strabiliante, imperdibile per chiunque abbia amato il gioco
I’m a huge fan of the first Horizon game and played it and the DLC to completion taking my time to explore every location and Lego have done such a great job with their first (I hope there will be more) set based on the games. It took me 3-4 hours to build at a steady pace and the finished model is fantastic in scale and detail. It’s important to note this is a display model and not a play model so parents buying for children should understand that. Well done to Lego for getting this set so right, I hope there will be more recreations of machines and scenes from this amazing game.
Appena arrivato ma dalla scatola gi si vede che i dettagli sono davvero ben fatti .

Got this on release day, took me a couple of 2-hour sessions to build it, it was great fun, and looks brilliant displayed on my nerd shelf
Meraviglioso set da collezione, esaurito dopo poche ore sullo store ufficiale, ma preso appena in tempo su Amazon con spedizione pi veloce addirittura (sempre una garanzia Amazon), per gli appassionati di Horizon da avere!!!!!

Die gesamte Szene ist stimmig, der Aufbau dank der hervorragenden Anleitung ein groer Spa und es blieben sogar ein paar kleine Bauteile brig.
Einziger Kritikpunkt: Es werden Aufkleber geliefert, die auf manchen Bauteilen platziert werden mssen – bedruckte Steine wren wesentlich sinnvoller und vor allem: hochwertiger.
Dafr ziehe ich jedoch keinen Stern ab, weil es Jammern auf hohem Niveau gleich kme.
Klare Kaufempfehlung fr alle, die schon immer einen Langhals im Regal stehen haben wollten.
Weiter so, LEGO! Vielleicht kommen ja irgendwann noch ein paar weitere mechanische Kreaturen aus der postapokalyptischen Welt von Horizon hinzu …?
