I needed an air purifier that worked for about 400 square feet, give or take, and could handle the work required to purify dog fur- and dander-filled air (not to mention the dirt and dust my critters track around). This air purifier fit the bill perfectly. It’s quiet, the filters last a long time, and the smart features are interesting to use. I can see how much filter life I have left, what the air quality is at any given time, and the history of the air quality for days and weeks. It’s a quality air purifier that didn’t break the bank, and I highly recommend the Levoit brand.
These levoit air cleaners haven been to best for me with heavy seasonal allergies. Easy to set up and manage. The app works really well and the filters are easy to install.
he auto setting is perfect, very nice looking product, nice touchscreen and the ring of colored led’s that change color depending on air quality. Very nice at night with the sleep setting lowering fan speed and turning off the control panel lights. For the 3 weeks after purchase it’s worked perfectly.
After reading numerous different reviews and shootouts for Air Purifiers, I settled on this one from Levoit. I went with this because the humidifier I have from them has been top notch and I expected the same from this purifier.
I was right to assume so! This thing is a powerhouse, has great versatility in the settings, and does a quick and efficient job at keeping my master bedroom air quality as good as it can be.
This air purifier has been very beneficial to our health . Where I had a constant cough and sneezing from allergies it now barely every happens . Very pleased with the purchase.
I’ve got allergies and have 3 dogs in the bed, but was always skeptical of air purifiers (aka filters.) Finally decided to try one and love it! It does reduce dog odor and my allergies are doing much better at night. The smart features are great. I have it turn off a couple hours after I get up and set it to turn on high for a couple hours before bed, then settle down to medium without any lights on the top for the night.
With 5 cats this product has cut out a lot of hair. And the dust in my house has gone down by 90%.
This is an OEM filter, fits perfectly and the filter components are of a superior quality compared to off-brand replacement filters.
This purifier is so easy to set up and use and it has worked well for us. I especially like the smart scenes settings that allows you to control when it starts and stops so it only needs to run when needed.

Absolutely amazing how many functions this unit has. After reading the user manual I found it incredibly easy to set up my account, connect to our Wi-Fi network and manage the unit.
After carefully comparing features and reviews on various sites, I came away convinced that the Levoit 400S offered the best all around performance, features and design of any air purifier in its price range.

I bought this to eliminate smoking odor in my apartment. It does an amazing job though it still leaves a slight smell of cigarettes so I use a smoke odor eliminater spray occasionally. The air always feels fresh. I would highly recommend this product.
My new house has a stupid range hood that doesn’t vent outside. My house has a large great room and this takes out the cooking smells in a few hours. Without it the house kept cooking smells for days. I am very happy with the performance. It is loud enough on high (4) that I have to turn the tv volume up, but on medium (2) it is very quiet.
Looking at the number they give me it make me aware when the air quality needs improvement so I like that feature. However It doesn’t get rid of the Odor that I was hoping. Also the bottom plastic feels a little cheap for its price range. And I want it to filter pet hair more.
After the smoke cleared, we also noticed a difference with the stale apartment smell and clearing out smells/smoke after cooking. Our apartment is new construction but for some reason they built them with no ventilation. Unless we are able to open our windows every day (not possible in the months when the temps get down to below 0 for several months) – it can get a stale apartment smell. This has been really great for filtering the air in the cold months!
We have a small 700 sq.ft apartment and we move it around from our bedroom or living room. It does a really good job in a single room. It’s quiet and easy to turn the lights off while sleeping or put on night mode if you want to turn the fan down even lower.
Highly recommend.
Another thing I want to add is that when I cook, my bedrooms don’t smell, and the air in the whole house clears up pretty quick. Levoit has an automatic feature that increase the fan speed when there is more particles in the air.

In just a single night, we noticed a huge difference. Works great with Alexa and app. So much, we are looking for more products that can be connected like this. It worked great as a white noise too for our 14 month old. LEVOIT, we would love to work with you as ambassadors or anything!
However I also got the EverestAir on a Prime Day deal, and since both products are on the same page I could only do 1 review. The EverestAir is a beast. It also has a bunch of features and works great with the app. You don’t need the app to use the device, but you can do everything with the app that you can do with the control panel. ( even change vent direction ).it does a great job with smoke. It has 3 sensors and for 1, 2.0, 10 ppm. Very responsive to changes in air quality. Turbo Mode moves air. My guess is I will go through 2 filters a year. I do own a Coway, and the EverestAir easily beats it.
Since we have owned this air filter my dry eyes aren’t as itchy & my husband doesn’t sneeze as much around the house as he used to. We also have neighbors that smoke (we live in a condo- shared walls) and when the smell travels to our unit, we turn it on high and the smell is gone within 20 mi utes!

Ich habe den Luftreiniger gekauft, um die co2 Werte zu verbessern.
Zur Kontrolle habe ich einen Netatmo Wetterstation, der zuverlssig auch die co2 Werte anzeigt.
Da ich den Core400s jetzt auf die qm eingestellt und es einige Zeit laufen habe, zeigt sich das Ergebnis, nachdem er mit der Reinigung abgeschlossen hatte, das sich tatschlich die co2 Werte gesenkt haben.
Und natrlich die Luftqualitt sich deutlich verbessert hat.
Natrliche Luftqualitt wie frische Luft im Auenbeleuchtung.
Jetzt erst riecht man auerhalb der Wohnung, wieviel Abgase in der Luft stecken. Da ist doch jetzt in der Wohnung eine Viel bessere Luft.
Zu der App muss ich sagen, das es schnell und genau reagiert.
Die Anbindung ins Netz, das man es auch von der Ferne steuern kann ist sehr einfach zu erledigen.
Ich sage mal, das der Preis mit etwa 215 Euro schon etwas viel aber lohnenswert ist.
Wrde ich auf jeden Fall nochmals kaufen.
Jetzt nach und nach kommen die anderen Filter dran.
Dauert halt mal 1 Jahr bis der Filter gewechselt werden muss….
Dafr lohnt sich die Anschaffung eines solchen Gertes.
Very nice unit. I saw some of the reviews complain about noises or whining sounds. I have not noticed any and it’s always on in automatic mode. Awesome feature btw. It’s whisper quiet in auto mode unless it detects something. If I cook fish in the house ( unit is about 20 ft away from stove) it ramps up the fan and the smell is gone very quickly. It is noisier when the fan is going full speed but no more than any other type fan.
Seasonal Allergies are much improved as well.
Overall very happy with the purchase.
We bought this product during the height of wildfire season in our area to specifically remove the smoke from the air in our home. My husband suffers from asthma and every time we opened the door he would suffer from the smoke that would come in. This machine removed the smoke from the air in the house, and within 10 minutes the air quality went from poor to good. Within a half hour, the air quality went from good to great. This machine really is a life saver, and I highly recommend it.

-The base separates from the body rather easily, would be nice if there was some sort of lock or latch.
-Low profile wheels could be a really nice addition in the future.
+ We upgraded from an old Sears console carbon filter system.
+ We set the Core 400S on automatic mode and don’t notice any noise while it does the job. Sleep mode is even quieter & turns off the display.
+ The display color code illumination is very easy to interpret & controls are simple to use.
+ Very easy to setup; i.e filter access.
+ The VeSync APP is useful for those that like tech (Glad it’s via WiFi and not Bluetooth)
+ There’s a noticeable difference in lack of odors 😎
– The only slight negative at this point is that the unit is a bit top heavy, but would require a jolt to tip over.

Forse l estetica ma a me interessa molto di pi che faccia il suo dovere. E lo fa…c molta meno polvere da quando lo uso. Ogni tanto pulisco il filtro per mantenere l efficienza al massimo. In modalit notte non si sente nulla a livello massimo si ma non c bisogno di tenerlo alto…
Ottimo davvero, purifica in poco tempo le stanze della casa e la app dal telefono davvero comoda e funzionale.
Acquistato usato, 100 euro in meno, definito in “ottime condizioni” e devo dire che lo e davvero, aveva solo dei piccolissimi segni che probabilmente vengono via con l’alcool e per il resto praticamente nuovo! La parte piu importante, il filtro, stato messo nuovo, era ancora imballato.
Uno dei migliori acquisti di sempre! preso per i cattivi odori degli animali e per il fumo della stufa a legna, si respira davvero un’aria migliore adesso!
This is actually the third air purifier that I have in my apartment (others are coway and bluewave), but I’m so happy with this one that once the filters in my other purifiers are due for a change out I think I might retire one or both of them.
I have a 800 sqft 1 bedroom apartment, and I have this unit in my living room, and smaller purifier in my bedroom and living room areas.
One of my other purifiers doesn’t have an auto mode – it’s either off or on with one or three speeds. The other does have an auto mode, but you can’t control it.
I love that with this purifier that you can set very specific conditions to turn on or off, either based on air quality or by time of day. I also love that you can check on your phone to see the actual air quality and how quickly it’s improving the air quality in your room.
I was surprised how large this unit is- it’s much taller than I was expecting from the product photos (didn’t pay attention at the dimensions when I purchased) but aesthetically it looks pretty good so no complaints.
When it’s running on lowest speed it’s almost inaudible- would be great for bedroom, and even at higher fan speeds it’s not very noisy.

My favorite abilities:
* Can set the purifier to turn on and off automatically at a PPM I choose.
* Gives me updates and information on fires near me and the PPM in my environment inside AND outside of my home. (I know if I should keep my doors and windows closed or if the outside air safe to open them)
* Shows me data in a graph via the app of the air quality changes my home has gone through.
* Quiet and thorough (and even has a “sleep” mode that turns off the machine’s lights during the night.)
* I can change the room size that the purifier is expected to clean and it’s much larger than I had expected, to my pleasant surprise.
* Not too heavy so I can easily move it easily from room to room, even though it is a larger model. (If I’m cooking a lot I can easily move to the kitchen /living room area or back to the bedroom if I’m lighting candles for a relaxing evening.)
* Takes care of aerosols I spray when doing my hair, like dry shampoo.)
Overall, we like it. It looks nice. It can be very quiet on the low settings. The highest setting is a windstorm like a box fan on full, so presumably very effective. The display of particle levels is almost useless as it displays low single digits all the time, from the moment it came out of the box. It’s good to know we don’t have a lot of large particles in our air–and always did apparently–but there is no more sensitive setting to show ongoing effectiveness. Also, it would be far more useful if you could program the fan settings during day to be quiet and dark at night and a higher speed, etc. otherwise. It’s easy to remember to turn the noise maker down, but not so easy to remember to turn it back up. Clock chips cost pennies, so why not? I could plug it into a timed outlet to just turn it off at night, but when powered up, it does not return to your chosen settings. For the money, it could be so much better.
Alway dubious with trying something new, so with a new dog in the house the daughter was in need of some respite , and this was just the job for Asthma. She sleeps well now. So do I recommend this item? Hell yes it is brillient and do’s what it says on the box.
I started just running it on a daily basis on low. I have had the ductwork clean in this 80 year old house, but the previous owners had such extreme filth, basketball size piles of hair are pulled out of every single vent. So needless to say I’m paranoid about the allergens in here.
And even still, I’m sure the machine is working but not having allergies myself I still wouldn’t say that was the real test.
I feel like tonight I got to really test it out! The way my old kitchen is designed, my stove is built into the island so I have no exhaust fan- No microwave above nor a vent hood. It’s annoying especially in the hot, humid and rainy summertime when I can’t open windows to vent out smells. Tonight I was cooking bacon. Eek! Suddenly I had a thought. I put my air purifier about 4 feet away from where I was cooking and put it on the high setting while I was cooking. Wow was I blown away! This machine ate up those bacon smells like I could not believe. It’s smart features kicked into high gear and turned itself back down as the smells dissipated. Literally within an hour of cooking I could smell no more bacon. Now I wish I would’ve taken a video to show you what the machine was doing as the bacon was sizzling away, but alas you cannot smell through video.
I literally do not write many reviews at all, and I was not reimbursed in anyway to write this review. It takes a lot for me to take the time to really endorse something. I wish I would’ve bought another one of these on prime day and will probably buy another one of these, or two, just to keep running. I don’t like smelly houses lol.
The only suggestion I would have is that it ought be made more clear both in the written instructions and online video that the plastic lining inside the product is removed by turning the product upside down and unscrewing the bottom. I am not the brightest penny in the purse so I attempted to get at the lining by unscrewing the top.

I usually don’t leave reviews but i had to in this case. I suffer from asthma due to dust allergies and cleaning up dust is a never ending battle. I had gotten this unit during Prime Day and on impulse doing quick reviews on different brands before settling on this one. I got it for the bedroom and it is performing better than I had anticipated.
The noise generated from the unit is not that high. I had hope it would run totally silent, (its not) but the air flow sound is not as high as one would expect. The sound the unit generates is similar to the air flow of what a small window based ac unit creates at low to medium speeds.
The smart phone app gives additional features like filter life, air quality information, fan speed control etc., all extremely useful. If you have several units all can be monitored by the same app and can issue different air quality, filter life and seperate controls for each unit.
I can tell you that the air quality in the bedroom has greatly improved after using the unit for only a week. Been suffering less as a result.
I am considering getting a second Levoit unit (the larger model) for the living room area.
Really very pleased with this purifier. It cleans the whole downstairs very quickly and the differences is noticeable. Within 15 minutes of turning on you can smell the clean air. The kids have many allergies and since buying this they are much better within the house, even from pollen with the window open. Very pleased and worth the investment.
Getestet und damit bewertet wurde von mir nur der Ersatzfilter nicht das Gert selber.
Das Gert selber habe ich natrlich auch, es befindet sich quasi im Dauerbetrieb und funktioniert einwandfrei. Auch die App lies sich gut installieren und bedienen.
Der Tausch des Filters funktioniert nur komplett und der Austausch war sehr leicht.
Der Ersatzfilter funktioniert dabei genauso gut wie der ursprnglich verbaute Filter. Die Reinigungsleistung hat sich nicht verndert.
Die Gre des Filters ist schon recht beachtlich, aber ist nicht anders als beim Erstfilter, daher vllig ok.
Auch der Preis ist mit nahezu 60,- nicht gering, aber im Vergleich auch zu anderen Luftreinigern und deren Ersatzfilterangeboten anderer Hersteller nicht ungewhnlich hoch.
Also alles in Allem funktioniert der Ersatzfilter genau wie der Erstverbaute, lsst sich einfach austauschen und hat ein normales Preis-, Leistungsverhltnis.
Daher von mir volle 5 Sterne.

I like this product! Not cheap at all but, it works really well!! It’s a bit noisy and it’s the only think I would change! Highly recommend for people with asthma or hay fever. However, we saw the difference with the dust since we bought it. My son’s sleep it’s much better as well. It’s an expensive product but, worth the value of money!
After long searching and reading tons of reviews and spec sheets of air purifiers we decided to go with the Levoit which had really good reviews both from shoppers and tech companies. The price is lower than the big brands, on the other hand is capable of much more than some of them. Noise level almost zero on low settings, the automated function is brilliant, you can schedule throughout the day to automatically turn on and off, and looking really cool like a decoration in the room. Cleans the air in the room very quickly. Absolutely pleased with this purchase so far.
The device looks unassuming and the VeSync app integration is the best of any device.
Used to tske steak smell out of kitchen. Had to replace filter after only one month cause first time used in kitchen left whole machine smelling everywhere when I turned it on.

We liked the appearance the simplicity of the controls and the very quiet operation also it is very sensitive to the fireplace when the door is open.
Easy to install in the Levoit 400. Just unscrew the bottom, remove the old one and drop this one in. The 400 is running well again with a new filter.
Ich war auf der Suche nach einem medizinischen Luftreiniger fr meine Mutter, der einen hohen CADR (Messwert des bewegten Luftvolumens) hat, und nachdem ich die von rzten empfohlenen Marken gelesen hatte, war dies zusammen mit den viel teureren Gerten (IQAir , Alen, ETC), also dachte ich, lass es uns versuchen. Dies hat die gleiche Technologie wie die teureren Maschinen, zu geringeren Kosten einschlielich Filterwechsel. Gestern mit der Post bekommen und in das Zimmer meiner Mutter gesteckt, und innerhalb von 30 Minuten konnte man riechen und fhlen, wie viel leichter die Luft war. Als meine Mutter nach Hause kam, konnte sie spren, wie sich ihre Nebenhhlen zu ffnen begannen, und hatte eine volle Nachtruhe, ohne von trockenem Husten und Hacken aufgewacht zu sein. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass der Auto-Modus anscheinend im schweren Modus hngen geblieben ist (wahrscheinlich ein Staubpartikel, das den Laser verstopft, das eine Dose Druckluft hchstwahrscheinlich beheben kann. Wird bald ein Update geben). Das Tolle an diesem Modell und dieser Marke ist, dass es fr Menschen mit Lungenerkrankungen sicher ist. Bei diesen Marken mssen Sie sich keine Gedanken ber Plasma, UVC oder Ozon machen, und sie leisten bessere Arbeit. Sie hatte vorher einen GermGuardian, aber er konnte nie mit den Gerchen mithalten, und das Filterdesign war schrecklich. Bei diesem Modell befinden sich die Holzkohle- und Kohlepellets auf der Innenseite des HEPA, sodass kein Staub oder Partikel die chemische Reaktion stren knnen, um Gerche und VOCS zu absorbieren. Empfehlen Sie dieses Modell fr grere Rume und Huser. Aber wenn Sie in einem kleineren Raum sind, wird das Modell unter diesem, dem “Core 300”, Ihren Bedrfnissen genau entsprechen! 🙂
Der LEVOIT Ersatzfilter fr Luftreiniger Core 400S ist identisch mit dem im Gert zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs eingesetzten Filters. Auch der Ersatzfilter ist in einer Plastiktte sicher vor der Umgebungsluft geschtzt, bis er fr den Einsatz herausgeholt wird.
Mit der Leistung des LEVOIT Luftreiniger Core 400S bin ich immer noch sehr zufrieden.

So quiet!! It works so well and I barely notice it’s running.
This is the best air purifier I have ever purchased. We have allergies and air borne dust particles, and regular cooking odours, and this machine cleans the air in less than 5 minutes. It’s awesome, works wonderful!
Love that the app notified me when it was getting close to needing a replacement filter. As you can see from the picture the old filter is really dirty meaning it’s doing its job. I did purchase the air purifier during a wildfire in August so I suspect the replacement filter will last longer.
On high it is a little noisy but I very rarely have to use high speed. I cooked salmon and it smelled up my house, but I turned my purifier on high and in less than 30 minutes the smell was completely gone!!
I have since bought a second purifier for my bedroom. I love the sleep mode you can’t even tell it is running.
I highly recommend this purifier, in fact both my sisters bought one because of my recommendation. My allergies are so much better.
Der Filter ist speziell fr dieses Gert entwickelt worden und passt daher auch perfekt. Nach dem einsetzen luft der Core 400S wieder wie am ersten Tag. Die Qualitt ist perfekt. Ich bin sehr mit dem Gert und dessen Zubehr zufrieden.
In bedroom, approx one metre from bed, silent operation in sleep mode. Has eliminated sneezing and coughing due to allergies. Am into my eighties and unit is a breeze to move from room to room. A great product. Highly recommended.
I am using it in a 400 square foot lounge which extends into a kitchen area and the unit seems to easily cope with this room size. It also has a rapid cleaning mode based on the room size to remove particles and once cleansed it goes back into auto mode for a quieter operation. Even on full speed the fan is much quieter than my Vax which was incredibly noisy. Hopefully it will now help to reduce the dog dust and dander build up in the lounge.
The charcoal part does remove oders and TVOCs but much slower than the HEPA removes dust. The room smells better overall but not in an hour of use. The TVOCs also slowly decrease over prolonged use but not quickly by any means.
The app is fast, fully featured, and well designed.
Sleep mode is very quiet but I can head a whining noise I assume is from the electronics or something rubbing. I can still easily use it while sleeping but it could be made even quieter. The ability to turn off the display is also amazing.
This air purifier uses less than a dollar of power where I am using it 24/7 on half power (fridge runs $10 for example).
Though the support for purchasing filters in Canada is not good thus far.

Im direkten Vergleich, lsst sich der Ersatzfilter vom Original nicht
unterscheiden. Beide haben in etwa das gleiche Gewicht, sie scheinen aus
dem gleichen Material zu bestehen. Soweit wir das erkennen knnen, sind
die Schichtungen und die Dichtigkeit, ebenfalls gleich.
Kurzum gesagt, der Ersatz passt so gut wie das Original aus der Gertelieferung.
Nur der Preis hat uns nicht gefallen.
Auch wenn die Bezeichnungen der einzelnen Ersatzfilter nicht immer eindeutig sind,
finden wir eine Reihe anderer Ersatzfilter, fr die Hlfte oder weniger.
Hier werden wir vor dem nchsten Filterwechsel, noch einmal im Netz stbern
und vergleichen.
Grundstzlich, gibt es hier am Material und der Verarbeitung, nichts zu bemngeln.
Es ist natrlich wichtig, dass man die Filter regelmig austauscht.
Umso mehr habe ich mich ber die Mglichkeit, diesen hier auszuprobieren gefreut.
Von der Verarbeitung her ist alles in Ordnung, Mngel gibt es keine.
Er passt einwandfrei ins Gert hinein, hier konnte ich nichts negatives feststellen.
Ebenso konnten wir keinen Unterschied zum mitgelieferten Filter im Gert feststellen.
Auch keine nderung vom Geruschen.
Wir sind zufrieden und wrden diesen auch wieder nachbestelle
Ordentlich gearbeiteter H13 Hepafilter. Wir haben ihn als Ersatz fr einen Luftfilter, da lieft er sehr passgenau an/auf und so geht auch keine Luft vorbei. Zur Filterleistung selbst, das muss ich leider rein subjektiv bewerten, hab kein Prflabor zu Hause.
Staub und Haare, kleine Fusseln nimmt er ordentlich auf denke er filtert schon richtig. Preis/Leistung geht auch, es gibt billigere und es gibt teuere. Preis/Leistung muss da jeder fr sich entscheiden. Der hier ist gut und filtert wie er soll.

Wegen einer Staub-Pollenallergie haben wir in unserer Wohnung drei Luftreiniger am laufen, diese rufen uns dann und wann dazu auf, die Filter zu wechseln. Hier werden wir nicht enttuscht und der Filter erfllt seinen Dienst genau so, wie er es soll und die Luft wird gereinigt. Bei uns ist das Gert dauerhaft im Automatik mode im Einsatz, wo der Filter wie das Original dieses sehr gut mitmacht.
Wir sind mit dem Original bisher immer am besten gefahren und geben daher volle 5 Sterne. Die Preisleistung knnte gnstiger, aber dieses bleibt ein offener Wunsch.

Vor allem in Zeiten in dem ein Virus das tgliche Leben im Griff hat, bekommen Luftreiniger, einen hheren Stellenwert. Der amerikanische Hersteller “Levoit” hat mit seinem Luftreinger “Core 400S” einen groen Reiniger im Angebot welcher zuverlssig seine Dienste verrichtet. Dennoch muss man hier und da auch an den Filter denken denn dieser sollte regelmssig ausgetauscht werden.
Genau hier, bietet der eigene Anbieter Levoit” die hauseigenen und passenden “H13 True HEPA-Filter” fr den Core 400S an.
Verpackt kommt der Filter in einer optisch ansprechenden und auffllig gestalteten Kartonage. Nach dem ffnen der Verpackung ist der eigentliche HEPA-Filter, noch zustzlich in einer Plastiktte eingeschweit und so kann man sich sicher sein, dass die eigentliche Filterleistung, durch den Transport keine Einschrnkungen erlitten hat. Nach dem entpacken, stellt man erfreulichersweise keinerlei chemischen oder sonstigen unangenehmen Gerche fest.
Die eigentliche Filterleistung kann mich durchaus berzeugen. Laut Anbieter, filtert der Filter 99,97% von Schimmel, Staub und anderen Gerchen aus der Luft. Im praktischen Beispiel konnte der Filter somit ebenfalls berzeugen und man merkt deutlich eine Verbesserung der Luftqualitt.
Preislich gesehen sind knapp 59 Euro nicht ganz gnstig aber wenn man einen Wechsel des Filters, wie empfohlen alle 12 Monate durchfhrt, relativiert sich der Preis wie ich finde doch ein wenig.

Nach einigen Monaten kann man sich auch das Ergebnis ansehen. Der Filter filtert zuverlssig Staub und Partikel.
Von der Aktivkohle darf man sich aber wie bei allen Filtern nicht zu viel versprechen.

Ich habe seit lngerer Zeit einen Luftfilter einer anderen Marke. Die Filter sehen fast identisch aus. Leider passt dieser Filter doch nicht in mein Gert (H13-Filter).
Dieser Filter passt nur fr die Core 400S-Serie. Der Filter ist gut verarbeitet, bei Auslieferung fest eingeschweit in einer Folie.
Mein Luftfilter war eine der besten Anschaffungen, gerade in Corona Zeiten. Htte ich keinen, wrde ich mich fr die Core-Serie von levolit entscheiden.
Der Filter passt leider nicht fr TCL-Luftfilter, obwohl er fast genauso aussieht.

Der Filter passt perfekt- aber das ist von einem Originalteil nicht anders zu erwarten.
Meine Familie und ich spren einen groen Unterschied, wenn der Luftreiniger luft. Wir mchten auf den Komfort von sauberer, staubarmer Luft gerade auch in den Schlafrumen nicht mehr verzichten. Daher wechseln wir die Filter unserer Luftreinigungsgerte regelmig und machen bisehr auch nur gute Erfahrungen damit.
Wir nutzen den Levoit Filter nun schon knapp ein halbes Jahr und sind sehr zufrieden. Die Luft fhlt sich deutlich frischer an und man atmet leichter. Auerdem super bei Gerchen, nach der Silvesternacht mit Raclette hat es uns das Wohnzimmer wieder frisch gemacht 🙂 knnen den Luftreiniger also nur empfehlen.
wenn auch ganz schn teuer. Aber das muss vermutlich so sein. Warum auch immer. Letztlich sind es ja auch nur billige Materialien. Aber egal. Die Funktion ist gegeben und die Luftqualitt besser. Und dafr bezahlt man ja gern.
Dass alle Hersteller mglichst ihr eigenes Zubehr verkaufen wollen, ist wohl verstndlich. Somit erwirbt man beim LEVOIT Ersatzfilter fr den Core 400S die zuverlssige Qualitt des dort mitgelieferten Original-Filters. Im Rahmen einer angemessenen Hygiene ist der HH13 EPA-Filter allerdings sptestens nach ca. 6 – 8 Monaten auszutauschen. Beim aktuellen Preis des Herstellers sind hier stolze ca. 50 fllig, wobei andere Hersteller durchaus krftiger zulangen. Inwieweit Nachbauen von Drittherstellern ebenfalls passen und zuverlssig sind, kann ich nicht beurteilen, somit gibt es hier aktuelle vier Sterne, da der Filter auch optisch und verarbeitungstechnisch nicht zu beanstanden ist.
Nachdem unser LEVOIT H13 nach knapp 10 Monaten mit den bekannten “Macken” in Sachen Routerkompatibilitt im Einsatz ist konnten wir nun im Zuge eines Tests den ersten Filtertrausch durchfhren.
Der Filter ist wie erwartet sicher und gut verpackt angekommen. Er ist Schneewei und man merkt bereits nach einigen Stunden dass ein neuer Filter eingesetzt wurde.
Der alte hatte mittlerweile einen silbrig-schimmernden Schleier aufgelegt und die Reinigungsergebnisse waren zwar noch ok, aber nicht mehr so wie whrend der ersten 6 Monate.
Nun haben wir wieder frische saubere Luft und ich kann abgesehen vom Preis, welcher bei allen mir bekannten Filtern recht hoch ist nichts negatives sagen.
Also wer bereits vor Ablauf der 12 Monate Probleme mit der Luftwsche hat sollte einen neuen Filter einsetzen. Den Unterschied merkt man wirklich schnell!

The best test was when I left food in the oven and it burnt. Smoke was everywhere. Levoit was on automatic setting. It went to the maximum speed straight away and within a couple of minutes it was all gone! I couldn’t believe how efficient it was!

My background: I am not a smoker and never have been. I was raised by a chain smoker and have spent the majority of my life around second hand smoke from parents, family and friends. I have stress induced asthma and have also been through experimental chemotherapy that has apparently permanently damaged my lungs. Over time, my lungs are slowly degrading, and as they do I become more and more sensitive to more and more things, which trigger my lungs to get irritated and produce phlegm to coat my lungs and prevent the irritation, which causes me to cough more and more over time. (It has been a lot of fun having this sort of lung disorder during the pandemic, let me tell you.)
“Well, why don’t you see a doctor then?” you may reasonably ask. My experience with doctors in the past has consisted of watching both my mother and grandmother die with (no joke) 30+ prescriptions each all at once (with 3 to 5 doctors all prescribing simultaneously and admitting to me in private that A) they were not consulting with one another, and B) nobody on earth could possibly keep track of the side effects of so many prescriptions at once), and my uncle wasn’t far off that number when he died. I also have repeated personal experience with the medical industry that strongly supports my experience and belief that going to the doctor is going to be a financially insane choice (whether or not I have insurance) that I get little to nothing out of regardless. So I choose to avoid doctors and the medical/drug big business establishment like the plague whenever possible.
When I realized recently that my lungs were noticeably irritated all the time when I was in my own home, but I was fine if I went outside, I decided it was time to step up my game. Enter this unit, which I researched before buying.
My unit is brand new, not a returned unit. Upon turning it on, it told me that my air in all areas of the house tested was as good as it gets, with a reading of 001. This did not please me, because I know it’s nowhere near that good. So I did an update of the firmware to see if that would fix the issue, and it did. The new display read 005, which was significantly lower than I expected, but the unit reduced that to 3, then 2, then 1 relatively quickly.
Within about 15 minutes, the air in my (door closed) office started to smell noticeably different. Lighter, cleaner, fresher, more neutral. I was surprised. I also noted that over the next few hours, my coughing decreased significantly as long as I stayed in my office.
When bed time came, I put the unit in my bedroom and turned it on full blast with the doors closed while I went to the kitchen to have a snack. At first, the bedroom registered 5. The unit quickly brought it down to 1. I noted that my coughing increased when I was in parts of the house that had not had the benefit of this device to clean the air.
Returning to my bedroom after my snack, I noted that once again, there was a nice difference in how the air smelled in my bedroom compared to my kitchen.
Normally it takes me a while to stop coughing enough to fall asleep when I got to bed each night, but last night while there was still coughing before sleep, it was markedly less, which my girlfriend commented on today. This morning, I woke up to the pleasant realization that my lungs did not feel irritated for the first time in a long time. I hadn’t even realized how irritated my lungs were when I would usually awaken until it was gone.
Moved the unit into my home office again, and turned it back on. It started at 5, and again rapidly cleaned the air until it was at 1. Then I began doing more experiments. I noted that when the AC kicks on, it goes from 1 to 2 or 3. When it turns off, the unit returns it to 1. When I open the door to my office, it goes to 2, and then back to 1 when I close it. When my cat walks into my office, it goes from 1 to 2 if I close the door after him, and stays there for as long as he is moving around. If I pet him, it goes to 3.
Thinking this level of sensitivity was too good to be true, I decided to try further experiments. I closed my office door again, waited until it settled down, and sprayed some air freshener in my office. No change – it evaporated. Just as expected. Then I went down the hall and into my living room and lit a stick of natural compressed sandalwood powder incense. I returned to my office and closed the door. Within 2 minutes, this unit detected the incense in the air, rising to a 4-5-6 and then back to 3 when the AC turned off. The next AC cycle, it jumped into the teens, and then into the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s as the smoke got going during the next cycle. When the count hit 45, it turned the ring green and stepped the fan up a notch.
I found that I could watch the numbers go up when the AC was on, and down when it was off. It got up to around 86 at one point, and the ring sometime before that turned orange and stepped the speed up another notch. Now that the incense has burned out, it’s dropping, with highs in the 50’s, and lows i the 20’s and cycling lower each time the AC kicks on again. It’s been interesting to see it power up and down to match the particulates in the air.
Build quality seems good, but the bottom can come off easier than I’d like. A couple times now I have tried to lift it only to find that it had un-screwed and the bottom and filter were not lifted with the rest of the unit. Easily fixed in a second or less, but if the bottom had a bit of “click into place”, this would not happen when moving the unit.
It is so quiet in sleep mode that last night when we went to bed, after I had it running on high for a few minutes while we had our snack before bed, that even three feet from it, my girlfriend could not tell if it was running and asked. This was with the AC not active. That’s pretty darned quiet. It also was no issue for me to handle, and I am extremely sensitive to sound when I am trying to sleep.
The top two levels of fan speed are relatively loud, with the highest speed being louder than my AC when it’s kicked in. It is, however, the most smooth and beautiful white noise I have ever encountered, and I am an audio engineer.
So far my experience with this is almost entirely good. Here;s what I don’t like.
1. The bottom unscrews too easily. No big deal, but irksome.
2. The sensor didn’t work when I got it until I updated the firmware, which forced me to download the app, sign up, and then give the app location permissions and blue tooth permissions. I also naturally had to sign it into my wifi network. I didn’t want to use the app, or give the app these permissions. The app, however, will not run without them. Ostensibly, it uses location data to give you a report on local 2.5um particulate levels in your area (which it does), but I don’t know what else it is being used for, and I don’t much like having my location tracked by Google and every other company on earth these days.
So far so good. It appears that particulates in my house are probably not as much of an issue as what those particulates are made of, and that I need to be more focused on reducing VOCs in the air in my house. But so far this unit has helped me breathe significantly better, and I’m very happy with how well it works.
I didn’t like the way it categorised particulate levels, treating levels the WHO would describe as harmful for prolonged exposure as ‘Good’. And the particulate history in the app wasn’t averaged, it was just a snapshot every 15 mins. That’s not very helpful if you’re trying to understand average exposure over a prolonged period.
Despite these shortcomings it’s great value and I really liked this unit, but sadly the sensor stopped working after 3 days and so I returned it.
The older ones also only shoot the air one direction so you have to move it around to change air direction.
That being said this one has some improvements and some fails so here we go:
Improvements :
1) lighter, has four speeds instead of three
2) you can turn off the lights (they must have heard complaints about that from people like me)
3) the best improvement is the air now shoots straight up plus it collects air in a 360 degree “cone” BUT (read fails)
4) Really cool touch screen on top and easy to use for sure, easier to use than the older ones
5) I think this is bit more quiet than the other two “large” room Levoits I use.
6) has two indented handles on top, you have to move it around like R2D2 and be careful because for the tenth time…the bottom is cheap feeling.
Fails:
1) the filter is sort of tricky to put in because the bottom is thin and cheap feeling
2) the bottom is a 360 “cone” that collects from the ground up with huge gaps login to the filter (this may cause more dust to get picked up yes but it also means replacing filters quicker
3) the cheap feeling plastic bottom that “screws” tight but once on the ground can come off easy. To avoid you need to life it up carefully and put down carefully as to not bust the cheap feeling bottom.
4) did I meantionthe cheap feeling bottom !!!
5) FILTERS COST $36.00!!! WT FUDGE man….?
6) the older ones fell way more sturdy , they traded off weight for a thinner plastic weird design that may have looks cool CAD designing but feels cheap as all heck.
7) feels like I’m login to break the bottom when I put in the filter.
I’ve only had it too weeks so I’ll update in a little while after further use, want to see how long the WAY TOO EXPENSIVE filters will last.

6 MONTH UPDATE (10/8/2021) THIS IS A HEALING MACHINE.
This thing has ELIMINATED our allergies and asthma symptoms. We keep the unit in the center of the house in the kitchen/dinette area, And this is able to clean our entire home of pet & cigarette smells within an hour on Speed 4. Keep in mind its rated for a space of 403 square feet, But it has no problem covering much larger spaces. The filter that came with the box is still going strong, And I LOVE how it has two separate indicators to let you know when its time to vacuum off the pre-filter, or Replace. So far the clean light has only come on twice which is shocking considering we have a Great Pyrenees and an Aussie. We love this model so much I just recently bought one for my grandparents and they have noticed a huge difference in their symptoms as well! I’m officially a Levoit fan.
