I bought myself one of these last year for my home office. It’s great. My wheeled office chair moves around on it very smoothly. Great for protecting flooring. Just bought another for my son. Great invention.
Absolutely Brillia
just recently carpeted the house and wanted to protect the new carpet. Moving my computer chair was very difficult. This mat is not cheap but it does what it say. it’ll not curl, bend etc.. and will protect the carpet beautifully and let the PC chair move freely. 100% reccommend!!
Much better than it looks
The chair mat is a really good buy. It has a nice weight and very well made. I have had visitors think it was a rug – it has a lovely design. I use one for my craft chair which was directly on vinyl and the other for my office which is carpeted. It comes with 2 connected halves which did concern me – but it really does not hinder the working of the mat. If I needed another carpet Mt- this is what I would buy.

Possibly good but not too sure ye
It is much better than my poly chair matts on carpet and it is well made but the two sections slightly dont line up as they did when I bought it and you can feel the join of the board, but so far so good, I will come back and update again in the future either way as I have only been using this just over a week.
Looks good works a trea
Needed something to protect the carpet and allow my home office chair to move easier. This looks good and works a treat. Very pleased I paid a bit more and went for this over the rolled up solutions which I’m not sure would have worked as well.

Hard wearing does not distort perfect for a heavy chair on soft carpet.
The matt is in two with a web which allows it to fold out to full size perfect hard wearing and does what it says. Could do with some more funky colours but life is unfair .
Good wooden floor save
Bought to cover the area where an office chair rolls over wood floors. Though pricey it offers the protection you need for your floors, large enough to be practical, sturdy enough to prevent damage. Tried cheaper alternatives which were a waste of money.
Simply a perfect home office ma
I very rarely bother to review products I buy on Amazon, but I’m making an exception here because this is an absolutely brilliant item, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
There are a lot of chair mats available on this site (and on other outlets online), and most of them are rather disappointing. I know because I’ve bought enough flimsy rolled up plastic mats over the past two years of WFH to be something of a aficionado by this point.
And if, like me, you have a job that now involves working from a home office 2x a week (or more) then you’ll probably have had the experience of mediating the ongoing battle between your rolling chair and your home flooring, since the former was never designed to be used on domestic carpeting and the latter would be chewed up by regular office chair pressure.
In theory a mat solves this problem – in practice very few mats do. This mat not only solves the problem but is a positive joy to use. I can position myself perfectly at my desk. I can move my chair to reach for drawers/files without difficulty. I can sit down at and get up from my desk with ease. And it looks very nice too.
It’s a little bit dearer than most of the mats you’ll find online, but it’s worth every penny. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.
Not your ordinary office chair mat - pulls the rug out from under the competitio
Quite simply this is the best office chair mat I have ever seen. I have tried those so-called transparent rolled up plastic imitation polycarbonate mats and returned them all because they are not what they are claimed. But this is EXACTLY as advertised. Substantial polycarbonate centre with rubber studded underside and extremely attractive designed fabric surface. Delivered flat, no smell, no movement, no ridges, chair glides over it but the mat remains static on the floor. It looks good, works well and the customer service is nothing short of brilliant. I had a small problem at first but the company immediately took ownership when I contacted them and quickly resolved the problem completely within a couple of days, keeping me informed all the way through. Highly recommended. Don’t waste money on those cheap plasticky gimmicks. This is the office chair mat of the future.

Nicht ganz billig der Spa. Aber ich Zahl das Geld weil’s der Frau gefllt. Es ist eher wie ein aufklappbares Brett, das sich als Teppich tarnt. Aber man sieht den Knick kein bisschen, es fhlt sich angenehm an und vor allem erfllt es seinen Zweck perfekt. Es rutscht kein bisschen, der Brostuhl rollt super drauf und es sieht unendlich edler aus als diese billigen transparenten Plastikunterlagen auf denen der Stuhl mehr schlittert als rollt.
Great so fa
I’ve had this mat for about 2 months now. It’s comfortable to use, easy to move, and very solid. My chair wheels don’t slide or roll too easily, but will still roll very nicely when you want to move. I’m using it on plush carpet and haven’t had any problems with it yet. It’s so much better than any kind of plastic mat!
Only time will tell if it can last for the long term. The obvious weak point is the centre fold, this will definitely deteriorate over time and be the first thing to go. I will try to ensure I don’t have the chair wheels dig in near the fold. Either way I estimate it will last at the very least 2 years. If it last more than 4 years I’ll be very happy with it.

5 months and still like new
Been using this daily as I work from home, and it’s great, protecting the carpet while being super simple, would like it to have a tiny bit more depth to the material so slightly softer under feet but that would likely cause a catch 22, as the ease of rolling would be limited.

Great quality, great size and does exactly what it’s meant to. Seems a lot of money, however well worth it. Very sturdy on carpet due to its robust backing, ant folds up if needed at the end of the day.
A good product with first rate customer service
Ordered this product to protect my tiled floor against the office chair wheels. It’s a bit heavy but I guess that’s why it’s sturdy and robust, and it’s well constructed. There was a specific issue relating to my particular flooring, but the manufacturer resolved the issue to my satisfaction within 24 hours of me getting in touch, which I have to say is great customer service.

Pleasant looking, and actually durable mat!
I had bought this mat half a year ago, have my chair on it ever since then (laid on carpet), busy home-officing. It still looks about as good as new! It may be more expensive than a lot of other options, but given that it lasts (and also looks pleasant), it does well worth its price in the long run!

Bought it because I didn’t want a normal plastic carpet matt. This one is just perfect and looks great also in the room. I have a very thick carpet in my office room and didn’t think it would work but the carpet matt works great.
I have been using it for a month now and did not see any wear and tear.
I wish it was available a bit cheaper but can’t complain if it lasts for a couple of years.
Overall very satisfied.
Dry expensive but does the job extremely well
Bought after laying brand new carpets to protect from daily abuse by an office chair in my husband’s home office. It’s very sturdy, the chair rolls over it perfectly and the carpet is very well protected. You can’t tell it’s two boards folded in the middle (there is no palpable or visible ridge to impede movement). I wish it was square though to give a bit ,ore freedom when wheeling from side to side. It was extremely expensive to use but a necessary evil when you have to have carpeted floors in a home office.
Shangri-La chair mat.
There are no dislikes about this product ,Had it five months now and it has had plenty of use rolling a pretty hefty office chair on it ,Still looks good .
It does not slide on a lino floor actually it does not move at all ,not double sided tape no grips just how the mat comes.
Its a brilliant chair mat.

Doesn't mark or damage carpe
It is a great saver of damaging carpet or floor by using this.
Able to wheel around on a chair when placed in the idea location.
On grumble is that the stipples on the bottom aren’t that grippy on carpet and it does move around alittle if you are moving on your chair quite a lot.
Only suggestion is to increase the thickness and depth, otherwise its a brilliant chair ma
Very good ma
Attractive, solid & smooth, makes a good base for an office chair. Much better looking than most of the thinner plastic mats (just looks like a nice patterned rug) and it doesn’t get damaged like ordinary rugs or carpet. Not the cheapest, but worth it.
Nice chair runner for the home office
Needed something to give a more comfortable experience in my home office. I already use rubber wheels on the office chair and it sits on wooden floorboards.
The mat comes in quite a sturdy cardboard box and simply hinges in the middle. It has its own rigidity so can be moved and adjusted from one edge or corner. It has some sort of rubber on the bottom so it doesn’t move around on my wooden floor unless you lift it enough to do so.
It is big enough for the five wheeled chair and covers a normal movement range for me. I guess if you go side to side allot you could turn it long ways. I have it pulled out about 20cm from the wall so when I push the chair back a bit it doesn’t come off the mat. If the wheels do come off the mat the edge is nicely rounded and has rigidity so it doesn’t catch or interfere with rolling back on. Please note I have the rubber wheels on the chair not the standard plastic ones, so I can’t be sure of any difference here.
So far I don’t see any wear on the surface or edges and its used everyday all day. I guess could be a bit longer for me (20cm), but for someone else maybe that would be too much, better slightly small as you couldn’t cut this down at all without it falling apart I think.
Non slip and doesn't curl up!
I had a plastic chair mat prior to purchasing this item. It curled up at the edge and becamew a trip hazard. I no longer hav this problem.
quality purchase
An excellent product. It is substantial so it lies flat, doesn’t move on my carpet, doesn’t dent, looks good, what more can I say? Pity they don’t do them with a choice of more colours and patterns.
Does the job
I was looking for an attractive hard surface to use on carpet in my office as my chair was difficult to move around on and kept bunching up the carpet. This seems to be the best option in this space, albeit quite an expensive one, but so far is working as required. I would like to have seen some more design options, however, the one I have chosen looks good and works well. My only concern at the moment is how well it will hold up over time due to the fold in the middle as it does depress a bit as the chair passes over it, but after a month of daily use still looks as new.

Excellent product - good quality, looks good too, very sturdy
After months of anguish coping with using an office chair on various fabric mats that slid across our deep pile carpets, we finally have a solution to our office chair woes! We’ve almost been crying with frustration due to our office chair wheels constantly being stuck in the mats placed upon the deep pile of our new (and probably too plush) office carpet. The discomfort of being unable to roll back and forth without jimmying the chair left and right, which started to damage the carpet and ruined two rugs, was driving us round the bend. And every rug we installed, even when using additional rug grip under-matting and adhesive backed spiked rug grippers, would slip and slide across the deep pile carpet only to bunch up against the skirting board.
This mat seems to have solved every issue! It sticks in place pretty firm, hardly moves at all and the office chair glides over it with ease. It seems pretty well made and looks like it will last a while; a long while we hope!
Negative points? It’s expensive, it could come in more designs/colours, and it could be slightly longer (such as 150cm rather than 120cm) but, as it is, it was worth every penny to save us from losing our marbles every time we struggled at the computer desk.
A very good product that we’d definitely recommend to people who could use a hard mat for their office chair.
Thick, heavy, solid chair mat - perfect for super thick carpets!
Just what I needed, a thick heavy chair mat to go on our thick carpet (carpet is just over 2cm deep pile) to use my office chair on. The mat is very heavy, it arrives essentially folded in half, you open it up and lay it flat and the 2 boards push together inside the outer cover if that makes sense (it is all one piece). It is covered in fabric that I can already see is starting to show some signs of wear on the edge that is walked over the most (been using it for 2 months now). Overall I am very happy with it and would certainly buy it again as it was the best one I could find to lay on top of such a thick carpet.
Just delivered, much quicker than promised. Surprised at how relatively “heavy” and sturdy the product is. I am currently living in a rental and using this product on carpet, but wanted something that can be used on hard wood in case I need that later. This will perfectly do both – I have set it up and it grips the carpet underneath and doesn’t move around. It is thick enough that the chair’s wheels don’t sink into it, in fact it feels like a hardwood floor underneath! also the wheels move around easily for when you need to get in and out of the chair, but also stay in place as much as you want ie it isn’t slippery like some of the cheaper PVC mats. Great product, very happy!

Absolutely the best answer to the problem of wheeled office chair on carpet I have ever come across. Looks good. is sturdy, just the right size. I only got it yesterday but it’s construction leads me to believe it will be durable.
Solid chair ma
A chair on castors and a carpet do not go well together. A cheap plastic mat does not solve the problem as it sinks into the carpet under pressure from the castors. This mat is solid and fabric covered, providing a good rolling surface. It is stable and does not slide around the carpet. The 120 x 90 size works well, allowing a good range of movement for the chair. It is not cheap, but it works so well that I bought another for the other computer user in the house. It is too early to comment on longevity, but it is well made and should last.
Best floor protector ive see
After moving my office upstairs I knew I needed something as my office chair was digging into the carpet and leaving marks. This fits the bill perfectly and is so much better to look at than the cheap plastic looking ones.
The perfect chair mat!
I have a laminate floor in my upstairs office and when I move the chair it is quite noisy below. I had purchased a cheaper mat on here and it didn’t stop the noise and moved about too much and I ended up throwing it away and buying this instead. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, this is solid, it is comfortable underfoot, it has stopped any noise being heard below and it looks very smart in the office. I am really pleased I was able to find this on Amazon.

OK it’s quite expensive which was putting me off. I was using a rug that kept moving so thought I’ll the the plunge now im working from home for the long term. It seems well built and seems to be doing fi e on the short fibre carpet in the spare room I’m heavy and it’s fine. So far it’s not move from where I put it, wish I had got one ages ago. It feels on the heavy side so you can tell its not just cheap rubbish in it. Can’t comment on how long the surface will last as I’ve only had a few weeks

I would have loved to have kept this, but it was way too big and the colour wasn’t an exact match.

Wanted to protect a new LVT floor as the laminate which was down previously had worn marks from my office chair moving about. I was glad I read the reviews for this which swayed me away from a cheaper roll up plastic mat. Pricier than I had wanted to spend but really pleased with it and it looks great and I think it will last for a long time. All 5 stars except value for money and that’s only because it was intended to be functional and a little expensive but I have no regrets 🙂

Wow this thing is pretty cool. Not sure why no one thought of it before. My torn up floor boards are save and not splintering any more, and I plan to get carpets up stairs and this will SAVE them!
This is a good piece of kit, the fabric is not moving when I roll on it. Good job. I think I am roughly a year into using it? Who knows. It still works fine.
Having turned our spare room into a home office we had a real issue with the chair on wheels and our thick pile carpet. Instead of ripping up the 1 year old carpet we thought we’d try a mat. Tried the plastic type, useless. Then I found this. Well it’s a brilliant idea! Hardwood base folded in 2 for storing when not in use. Then it’s covered with a thin carpet layer which looks great, just like a rug but solid! The office chair now wheels in & out with ease. Making it so much more comfortable and protecting the carpet! Well made piece of kit. I can’t comment on durability yet as I’ve only started using it. Not cheap but a lot cheaper than a new floor!
Did exactly what I wanted it to
Pricey, but excellent! Used on a floor that is part carpet, part laminate, where my home office chair has to be sited due to space limitations. The wheels troll well on the woven surface but not so much that you whizz off every time you move.

I was a bit concerned about spending this much on a mat for my office chair but I am so glad that I did. It is solid and seems very durable, and the chair moves easily across its surface. My only wish is that there were a greater variety of colours to match my decor.
Perfect for all carpet types
It might be expensive but you certainly get what you pay for. We have a high pile carpet upstairs. I previously bought a “durable” plastic chair matt which shattered after a week and I’m only 12st lol

Heavy, but good looking and functional.
This is just what I needed. I bought one of the clear plastic ones, but although it was very stiff, I found that moving the chair back and forward made it move and bunch up against the wall. Also if I sat still for any time the wheels of the chair would sink in and it would become difficult to move the chair.
This mat is much better. it stays in place and tolerates the wheels of the chair, so movement is easy and natural. Far superior and well worth the money. Found no flaws ye
Brilliant good quality chair ma
It is of a heavy material which wasn’t easy for me to strategically place it without some assistance ( maybe I am just weak!) but it is attractive and fit for purpose.
On the expensive side but I am glad I splashed out because it certainly makes moving my chair around easy without damage to my carpet underneath. I am impressed with the quality and I am sure it will be extremely durable for the foreseeable future .
Stylish sturdy mat - performs exactly as you'd want and as it says
certainly worth the huge price from the first month of using it. Chair moves effortlessly. Sturdy feel – no expected cracking / rippling. but above all, it looks so stylish and less ‘corporate office-y’ in our home office whilst protecting the new carpet underneath. It is very expensive compared to other office chair mats, but if you can get past that price tag, you’ll not regret it. A fabulous quality product. If it helps, think: buy cheap, buy twice. I never write reviews…but serious if you want a carpet protector that actually works then tis one is superb…its the only floor chair matt that actually protects your carpet…its firm, well made and a great purchase…note to company…the only thing i would offer are some plan colours as i nearly didnt buy because of the patterns I would have preferred a plan grey one for example, im sure that you would sell even more with plan colours as the designs you have might not go with the dcor of people homes, that said…great produc
This chair mat may not look heavy duty but it is the best I have had so far. It is thick and really heavy, so it will help not to move around. The top surface is actually quite smooth that the chair can glide around without much friction. The bottom of the mat is a non-slip surface that works well on my carpet.
The mat is hard and it can be folded in half but it cannot be rolled up.
This mat provides great protection to my carpet. I have been using plastic sheet before and it kept curling up and sliding around on my carpet, but this is way way better and well worth the money.
Only had this thing for a few hours and I can already tell that is going to be a LOT better than a normal floor mat. It’s HEAVY but that means it’s studry and it doesn’t move around like my old mat. I expect this mat to last a lot longer than my previous one, but I will update my review if it starts breaking.
