Pretty powerful pump, good head pressure.
Using this to transfer rain water from my Garden to loft header tank (about 5m head height)
this pump generates 10 PSI discharge pressure into a 5 metre rise in 15mm PEX pipe.
Flows about 150 litres per hour, which is reasonable. I cycle the loft tank from 100L to 50L before refilling, and that takes about 20 minutes at 300Watt load.
I had the 550W version previously and that would only manage 60 litres per hour for 250W, so this is a good improvement.
I use the 550W to water the garden now, and with a 1.5″ layflat hose with a sprinkler nozzle, destroys my mains pressure hose!
good pump or emptying ponds or pool
he pump is well made with a good weight to it about 3 or 4 kg by feel, this is good as it settles well at the bottom of the body of water your want to pump, empty a pond fine.
the body is stainless and seem well made there.
the pump is strong and true to advert I think got a good head press too and lift water a good height.
you will need pipe that is bigger than garden hose.

Used it to transfer rainwater from an underground tank into a soakaway. Very quick and easy – only criticism is that instructions are unclear about how much dirt can be in the water which can be pumped without damage to the pump.

Water pump
This water pump is very big and powerful, is made of stainless steel material and that’s why is heavy, the suction power is good , but if some dirt is entering in the pump holes, than it stops the pump due to the air which is entering inside the engine and then is hard to make it start to pump again. My advice is to fix the pump on top of few brick’s to avoid letting the dirt to enter inside the pump. So far so good, delivery was fast and well packed
Good design and build quality.
I use this pump mostly for watering my garden from the big below ground water storage.
The pump is easy to use, has long enough cable and is powerful enough for all my needs.
It produces strong pressure useful when washing my car and van. It also works beautifully with automatic garden sprinkles.
I like the design of it and build quality, it feels solid and I think it should last long time as long as I use it with clean water.
For me this is not an issue as I really only need a pump for clean water.
Overall I am very happy with it. I think it is a must have in any household with garden and car who want to save on water bills.

We used this to empty our children’s pool, normally we end up bucketing it down the drain but this made it so much easier.
This is stainless steel compared to the plastic ones I have used in the past which makes the quality and durability of this fantastic.
The cable is plenty long enough to be able to plug away from the water itself or a near by socket. This will come in handy for a number of situations from emptying pools or any flooded area that you require the water being drained away from.
Overall this is a sturdy clean water pump and for the current price of 52.99 I think this is reasonable.
With an impressive 8500L/h flow rate
I’m more than happy with this Stainless Steel water pump from Medas, just what I needed for my new project to turn everything I can environmentally friendly around the house. I have a water tank next to my house and I’ve connected the guttering and down pipes with a gutter mash to stop leaves and debris, so I just collect the clear rainwater to reduces the amount of tap water I use for gardening.
The pump is ready to use straight out of the box. Featured with 5m power cord, for me this is more than enough as the power socket is literary on the other side of the wall. So far, after almost a month of using this pump, I’m happy with the performance.
I haven’t noticed any drop of pressure, stays constant with strong flow. Very important that never turn on the pump while it’s not in water to prevent the coil from getting burned, as this is an oil free motor, and it is water cooled. To prevent the coil burned, it’s featured with a float switch. If the switch is floating above the pump, then the pump works as normal but if this float reaching the same level with the pump, automatically switches off the pump. The 8500L/h flow rate is very impressive for such a small pump, it’s good enough for my 1000L tank and it would also be great for bigger jobs such like draining a pool. Please be aware that this pump doesn’t come with a Hose pipe if you don’t have one already you will require to buy one.
It’s a great item, it works well for what I needed, I have used it now for about 3 weeks and seems to be working fine, but I must say I only use it a couple of minutes at the time, I have no experience about how well would perform if would be running continuously.
For an entry level pump it’s very effective - needs hose and clamps to use, purchased separately
With the increase in flooding, it’s always useful to have a submersible sump pump to help out when needed, and useful for emptying the garden pond when required too.
The pump is made from quality materials, which gives you confidence that it will last a long time for the investment made. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a supplied hose, as you can’t use your standard garden hose. I’d pay a bit more if a decent hose length was included with hose clamps. Yes it would add to the price, but would be much easier to set up and use if you’ve not used one before.
The pump itself works very efficiently and pumps at quite a rapid speed, even though the one I have is an entry level one at 400W. You get a good length of cable, so it’s easy to plug into a nearby or not so nearby socket.
All in all this is a very handy submersible sump pump that works very efficient,y and effectively. If your prone to frequent flooding then I’d suggest you should invest in the 100W version, but for small occasional flooding and emptying domestic ponds and hot tubs, this one is very effective. Four stars from me.
Worth every penny.
This device moves the water really fast and does a great job of sucking up everything the last bit of water which you could get with a towel. Honestly I can’t believe the price for the way this thing moves water.
I highly recommend this product. I just got it so I don’t know about longevity

Expels water quickly from pools, ponds flooded areas , good quality stainless steel
This I an excellent bit of kit , it’s really well made from stainless steel , we have a large family swimming pool that causes a huge flood of water to flood the garden when we unplug it , with this you are able to empty the water much slower to stop the water flooding our neighbours garden , with this it’s much easier to direct the water towards where you want it and it pumps the water out quickly too.
It’s very straightforward to use and operate, it’s not light at over 4kg but still really manageable and the build quality is really good quality stainless steel.
I think it could come in handy for garden ponds , over filled barrels or bins , it’s a useful bit of kit, it does the job intended really well , it’s really powerful.
I’m not sure how well it would cope in really muddy water that could clog it up but for clean water for using in paddling pools and ponds it works brilliantly.
Seems great value for the price.

We have a nice size hot tub and this guy drained it completely in less than 15 minutes any of you have hot tub or a pool you know how long it takes to drain them I wouldn’t suggest using a regular hose though we bought a hose for draining a pool and it just pumped that out like crazy I’m afraid it would be too strong for a regular garden hose but we didn’t try so I’m not sure.
if you’re looking for a good pump to drain anything that holds a lot of water this guy’s amazing and the price wow I’m shocked and I love it!!!
Works Well
I have no reason to use this at this moment in time but to review this properly I needed to see if it works, the instructions recommends using a larger diameter hose as possible the smallest looks to be around 25mm but I don’t have any hose that size apart from whats being used on my pond filter so decided to just try it out with only the adapter fitted and the pump submersed in my water butt.
This comes with plenty of cable so I was able to plug this into the socket in my shed, when I first tried this I had the pump angled wrong aiming out towards the patio, I flipped the switch and nothing happened so turned it off when to the pump and gave the float switch at little shake and then tried again, it worked and sent a large volume of water over the patio furniture my wife’s kindle but worst of all my very expensive road bike, so re positioned it towards the lean too and asked the wife to turn it on after she had stopped whinging at me, as you can see it works quite well even better if I had some hose fitted.
I like it that this is stainless steel and not plastic although mine does look like the handle is bent but it’s only a handle so no problem.
It looks like you have to be careful what you put this on in the area you want to pump as when stood flat there is not much space on the underside where the inlet is so for me if I needed to drain my pond and I stood it straight in the silt would probably block it this just means I need to stand it on something, of course with something like a pool that does not really matter as the floor should be clean.
So this is quite a nice solid little pump that will come in very handy for a flood emergency or just draining a pond or pool.
