For someone just starting out with the Cajon this particular Cajon is perfect. Made comfortable, durable and with a rich sound this Cajon is the real deal. I have been a drummer for years and think I can see a good quality drum. Meinl Percussion has hit a home run with this Cajon.
Received my new MEINL Cajon. What a great sound. The nuances of of the various tones(notes) that you can make….Nice!!!! Also set a mic inside the Cajon to run through the PA and we are jamming away.
Needed a little tweaking to get the right sound. watched a youtube video on how to tune it and what sounds I should be getting. but since then its awesome
came on time and in great condition! Didn’t come with a manual but I expected that upon other reviews. Just watched a video on youtube and it sounds awesome! Good and fairly cheap cost for beginners.

I bought this to play around on i have seen a few knocking around and thought I’ll give it ago. Also my 3 year old loves it too.
Good sound, elegant design, and quality of the product is reliable. One thing that made be a bit concerned is this noise that sounds like a hanging wire that’s not supposed to be there. I don’t mind because when I’m playing it doesn’t make the noise but only when I’m carrying it around I hear it. Otherwise, it’s a great product!

Sounds amazing, sounds even better in a studio environment. Needs a bit of tuning when you take it out of the box but its quick and easy to tune. Love it!

This is the first cajon that I’ve owned. I primarily play drum set for an alternative rock/pop rock group. Occasionally, we play acoustic sets which prompted my search for a cajon with a solid snare attack and a good kick drum sound. The Meinl Headliner fills that role nicely at a reasonable price. It has a great low end bass, which works well with a syncopated rock kick/snare groove. I also found that loosening the corner screws slightly provided a great slap. My only complaint would be that the strings inside do rattle a bit too long, but there are straps holding the strings to the front plate. A little tape helps hold the strings and eliminates the extra rattle. I also found adding a kick mic in the back and a condenser mic in front highlights all the tones the cajon has to offer. All in all, a great cajon! Perfect for rockin out when the set doesn’t call for a full kit.
Purchased for our 8th grade percussionist. He likes the sound and the flexibilty. Happy with this purchase.
I received today my first cajon.
The delivery was on time. The package was adequate.
Then, once unpacked, this cajon is a really nice meinl product. Looks like handmade. The wood polish is soft and pretty comfortable. I like the sounds and you can easy modify the snare with 2 bolts on bottom. The bass is balanced, as well as the snare. It does not make an extreme cajon.
I am amazed by this item I got the sound is great and it a very quality item perfect addition to my instrument collection very amazing and with all the money I payed for it !
Arrived promptly; good packaging. Looks and sounds great! I’m not a musician; I just got this to play along with my kids. But it’s sturdy and tons of fun to play. I don’t know if the wood grain is natural or artificial, but it looks great and blends in well as a piece of furniture in our living room when it’s not in use.

This turned out to be EXACTLY what my son was looking for. He plays drums and other percussion. He also does acapella. This provides the base when he’s just hanging out singing with his friends. It is also loud enough to play along with acoustic guitars!!!
Great sound and size!!! This is great for live gigs, youtube vis, or just jamming out at a party . I love this thing. Good sounding snares that can be tightened or loosened based on the sound you want. I prefer to use wire brushes for a cool sound, which I’d recommend getting a pair to mix it up a bit.
Bought as a gift for my wife and son for Valentine’s Day and they absolutely love it. We have numerous guitars, drums, keyboards and other musical instruments in our house and this just adds to our collection for family jam time. Seems extremely well made and solid and has taken the abuse my almost 4 year old can dish out.

Often his band will do a small acoustic set at certain venues or on the radio and lugging a full drum kit or electric kit round isn’t always an option. I wanted something that would allow him to join in on these sets and was told about Cajons.
After a thorough internet search I settled on this one. I loved the wood and style and purchased it as a surprise.

My son loves Meinl Box Drum. It was delivered as expected and no issues with the purchase. The sound wasn’t as deep as he wanted so he made an adjustment and he is satisfied. He was learning and playing constantly over his school break!
I ordered this for my younger sister who has been wanting to play some type of percussion instrument for a long time, and she loves it!! She has a natural talent for it. It’s fairly light and portable. It also doubles as a chair if you leave it out in your room (which is what she does). I play guitar and my brother plays piano, so we plan to collaborate together with my sister soon! Definitely recommend!

Just starting out with a Cajon so I settled on this one as a Christmas present to myself. Arrived in good condition. Looks really nice. Has a nice sound. Not a Cajon expert, but this seems like a really nice one that is well made.
There are better quality cajons out there but for the price, this one is pretty nice. If you’re wanting to try out the cajon without investing a bunch of money on a really nice one, I would definitely give this one a shot.

This is a Christmas present for the Grandkids and I’m sure they are going to love it. Even I played it a little, but hopefully they will be a lot better playing it than I was. We saw one of these being played at church and we said the Grandkids need one of those. We ordered it and received it very quickly and we have been totally pleased with the process and the item.
My son had been eyeing my Meinl Cajon since I received it as a gift some years ago. This Christmas he’ll get his own and I’m sure he’ll be thrilled. The sounds from the deep bass to the snare and treble sounds are all exceptional for an instrument in this price range. The serious percussionist will enjoy this Cajon as part of their ensemble.
Fantastic build quality, size and sound. Deep, resonant bass sound and after some minor adjustments to the snare strings on the inside front plate (using the key provided) and a slight loosening of the top screws, a great range of treble sounds from snap to sizzle. As good as any cajon I’ve played and, for the price, an incredible deal.

Ordered this for our son as a gift..it was out of the box and he was playing it almost immediately. Great sound…easy adjustment of the strings with the included allen wrench. Well-built, great product…would definitely recommend Meinl.
This was just what I was looking for! Sounds and looks great, and I felt the price was reasonable. Seems to have solid build quality. This is the first cajon I’ve bought/used, so I don’t have much of a reference for comparison, but overall I am very pleased!

Amazing looking, sounding and lightweight. Been jamming with it for several nights now with my friends and gives an awesome setting for our guitars to play on top of. You can make it sound really loud or really low, so I think it would adapt to anyone in any situation. Size is perfect.

it’s really nice looking and came in perfect condition. I bought it for my husband but he really hasn’t played it because it needs to be tuned.
Good product; my son uses it to busk with his brother. Very good sound for the cash. Make sure you get a bag. I gave it 4 because it came with a few tiny bits wrong. Nothing major just a skuff or two. It was well packaged so wasn’t that. Kept it because it was a minor skuff and a Christmas present.

My husband bought this, but he doesn’t play it, he plays guitar, but one of his buddies that is a drummer uses it and thinks it sounds great. Only bad thing that has happened is his wedding ring has already warned a spot out on it.
1. It’s a nice looking piece of furniture.
2. It means I don’t have to dedicate a whole section of the house to accommodate a full kit.
3. It sounds good without disturbing the neighbours too much.
4. He’s enjoying the challenge of finding all the different sounds you can get from it.
I would definitely recommend this product for all all levels of experience. My young nephew who has a kit and has had a few lessons loved it and took to it quite naturally.

I got this for the kids to just muck around with and have found it a great instrument to have lying around, everyone wants to have a wee go and in truth some folks can put down a decent beat 🙂 so spot on absolutely fab 🙂

I love this drum. The only thing that came as a surprise was the wooden part, it was alot thinner than i anticipated. though it needs to be thinner to make it’s sound; i’m a little nervous. It has a unique sound, and my favorite part is the ability to make different sounds thoughout it’s body.
Sounds great with any type of music.
Even if you’re not very good you will love it.

So ist die Cajon immer in Reichweite und einsatzbereit wenn es in den Fingern Juckt.
Die Cajon sieht wie auf dem Foto Edel und doch nicht bertrieben aus, ist robust und hat einen super Klang.
Ich kann sie jedem Einsteiger herzlichst empfehlen, vorallem der dunklere Stil macht sie fr mich zu einem Hingucker 🙂
