Wanted this vacuum but hated the red colour. The only place with black in stock was Amazon. Ordered and delivered within a couple of days. Suction is amazing and great for large fluffy rug which I can never get clean (with a white rough haired terrier who sheds like crazy). Amazed at what came out of it. Wonderful
To begin, this is very very similar to the Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Powerline (red). The only difference I could see with this model was that, it has a larger operating radius and that it weighs slightly more. For some unknow reason after purchasing, the description on the older model has changed and boasts of having the same operating range.
The most obvious difference is that its a 2020 model and comes in a stylish Obsidian BLACK where as the 2017 model comes in RED.
PRICE-
The price is quite expensive especially when you consider it to the older variant (RED) which is averaging around 30-40 cheaper and has very similar (if not the same) features. I found this vacuum to be more expensive than some similar Dyson products however, you cannot compare the two. This vacuum is in a league of its own and the build quality speaks volumes.
ANESTHETICS-
Obsidian Black – Yes please. This colour with the silver accents goes great in almost any environment. Little details like the Miele logo on the honeycomb side accent compliments the overall design very well.
The attachments slot into the base of the vacuum which keeps them safely stored away and out of sight which is clever. The cable is also self winding into the hoover so it’s also not in sight when stored away.
ERGONOMICS-
Very well thought! The vacuum has a handle built into the design which makes picking it up and moving around easy enough. It also has small wheels which allows the vacuum to be freely and effortlessly maneuvered around your vacuuming area.
The dust compartment is slightly fidgety to remove but once you’ve got the knack, it’s a breeze.
This model incorporates a more comfortable handle and a telescopic tube for better range. The telescopic tube is by far my favourite feature as it can be adjusted from really short to really long. Im 6ft and this has honestly saved me from back pains due to constantly crouching with other vacuums.
PERFORMANCE & BUILD-
Ridiculously powerful! I’ve used nothing but the best and most expensive Dysons vacuums my entire life and I thought they were good. My only flaw with Dyson is there quality has dived in the past few years as well as loss of suction. After thorough research, I found Miele have been in the vacuum industry a lot longer and their products are of a durable build.
Although the suction performance is powerful, it can be turned down using the knob on the base to suit its environment.
The attachments are also of a solid build quality and you hear a thorough click when slotting two parts together.
I’ve attached a picture of the filter after several times vacuuming my entire home and it still looks fairly clean. I haven’t needed to use the filter clean button yet, but this should prevent me from needing to wash out the filter as often as in a Dyson.
CONS-
I really struggled with this as I’ve never been so happy with a product however, I would like to mention it is slightly heavier than I expected considering its size.
Another slight flaw is cleaning of the rotary power brush head. Unlike the Dyson, the rotary device inside the powerbrush cannot be removed and therefore removing hairs can be a pain. Miele has designed a slight groove to slot in a pair of scissors in order to cut the hairs out however, this is alot harder than it looks. Fortunately, you don’t have to do this very often.
I don’t often rate a product 5 out of 5 unless its worthy but this really is. The cons listed above are just recommended improvementa in my opinion but they do not take away from the task of this vacuum. I just wish I’d bought one sooner.
DISCLAIMER-
I’ve read alot of reviews on the older variant suggesting the bagless models are not as powerful as the bagged. I believe this to be somewhat true due to how the suction works. I’ve only ever used BAGLESS and this has been my most powerful vacuum to date in comparison.

Very powerful, a little awkward to use on the stairs due the size/bulk of the machine and the foot pedal. But generally its very mobile – wheels are well designed and follows you around the house extremely well. More suction than the Dyson Animal its replaced. It is abit weighty, but hopefully that will be because of the build quality. So far so good
Took a while to get used to the head as it was difficult to push over longer pile rugs. Super strong suction. Very quiet motor. Excellent build quality. Heavier than cordless models
All in all, if you’ve got a flat or bungalow with hard wood floors, you’ll love it, if you have carpets – budget for the carpet head as an essential extra or buy another model.
Gone back to corded vacuum as fed up with running out of power so bought this and it is so nice to be able to take time to do the job well , have brilliant suction throughout and a good length of cord . Only comment would be the instructions for emptying and cleaning filters not clear otherwise , excelle
The unit is slightly heavy, but the weight is because its so powerful! The handle on the pole makes it much easier to hold and all the attachments can be inserted into the body of the unit so you dont lose them. Also, when you press the button to retract the cord, it keeps retracting until full in the unit. There isnt an option of just shortening the cord slightly. This leads to the acceleration of the cord by the time the plug is back to the vacumn flying at breakneck speed across the room and very painful ankle knocks if you are in the way.
Generally very satisfied with this so far after 3 weeks of use.

Strongest suction on a vaccuum cleaner ever. Maneuverability is good. It bigger than expected but not as heavy as expected. Very happy.
It’s one of my best purchase. After my old one I was looking for something good quality and good suction especially for my carpet, it’s a few months that I am using it and it’s more better than my expectation. Very good suction, easy to go around and easy to clean.
I have always been a huge dyson user until now. This hoover is fantastic, suction is great and usability is great. Also good value for money. Highly recommend.

Been a homeowner since early 2000s and had several hoovers, some well known and expensive. This is by far the best. The suction is unreal and our carpets have never felt so clean. Decent long hose for stairs too and attachments are strong and robust.
Great hoover, light, long lead, and sucks up the carpet, don’t need it on number 4 but it’s great.

We have this vacuum cleaner for six months and are very happy with it.
The wheels make it very easy to drag along, the power cable is quite long and the variable settings are useful for carpets versus hard floor.
The dust collection compartment is big, very easy to empty and is washable.
The accessories are also good and suction power is great.
Finally, there are multiple filters, and most of the fine dust doesn’t even make it to the fine filter but is rather compacted and collected in the main compartment.
Very impressed and highly recommend.

Have had several cleaners but this surpasses them all, my last was 2300Wts. This is only 900Wts. and has more cleaning power. A good example of German efficiency. Expensive but worth every penny…. Cannot comment on stairs cleaning as live in a single floor dwelling. Probably some may find it heavy.
This is a great vacuum cleaner. Picks up everything, including the carpet if you have it on anything above about 40% power! Way better than our old one. Definitely worth paying the extra!
Purchased in Black Friday sale. An additional Miele model to use upstairs. Quiet and does the job as well as 12 year old model which is different but AS good!!
This thing sucks the pants off my Dyson. Honestly I don’t even put it on full power and it cleans like a dream! Also, emptying the dust out is roughly 50 times easier than with my old Dyson. It’s made with an actual human in mind. I can empty it out ridiculously easily. It’s wonderful. I actually enjoy vacuuming. It also cleans the floors properly, getting everything, again unlike my Dyson. I would highly recommend.
Wow! Had a Dyson for years and this is so much better! Suction is brilliant and you can clearly see the difference where the Dyson didn’t pick up dirt. You can change the settings of the suction power as it’s quite powerful and can literally lift the carpet- this is very good for laminate and tile though. Definitely recommend.

I have the machine for over a month and have used it several times by now so decided to write a review to help others who debate.
Coming from Dyson, I gotta say this has an immense suction power, even when not on full throttle!
I have several carpets and 2 dogs with lots of fur so I really needed that. I’m using an ecovacs robot daily and this occasionally.
It is great for carpets and of course for removing pet hair with it being so strong.
Cable mgmt is good, though sometimes I need to “help” when it gets stuck in things (when Going into a room, over chairs etc)
Long hands is very easy to use and overall it has a nice quality to it.
For the price, simply excellent. Recommended.

Super Miele quality with great suction and ease of use. I was going to stick to the usual reliable bagged Miele hoover but at Black Friday prices and so much improvement on this new version it was well worth the change. It’s heavy so I don’t take it upstairs but great for when you want a serious hoover not a handheld.
After hours and hours of research for a cordless vacuum I bought a corded vacuum.
The cord is 11m, self extracting system works great.
Bagless design adds weight compared to their bagged version but suction is fantastic.
Happy so far after two months of use.
I am delighted with the performance of this cleaner but find it built like a tank and not too easy to manoeuvre. It is difficult to pull along and even worse to lift, but these things are reasonably acceptable for the fact that it leaves the carpets in very good condition. You can even see it pick up the carpet as the head passes over it, although it doesn’t displace it!!

Had a Miele before and this one is also great. Easy to use, picks up well and the cord is much longer which is fab.
Only, I find that for the price, some more extra suction heads should be included in the package.
Vacuuming on wood and carpets is very good with the heads provided, but for cvacuuming on hard surface you may want to spend a but extra and buy another suction head-

Suction power is great but avoid if you have deep pile carpet.
After having a Dyson for many years really happy with the performance of the Miele.
Good points:
– It’s not a feather-light but I don’t think it’s heavier than the C3 it replaces.
– It’s more manoeuvrable than the C3 as it has 4 castors and seems to tip over less when dragged about the room.
– Suction is as good as the C3 when on the correct setting despite lower powered motor.
– It works (very well) with the turbo brushes that came with the C3 and picks up dog hairs OK from carpets when using the turbo brush.
– Dirt container empties well. Have not tried the fine dust container yet.
– The handle seems to help direct the head of the vac better when getting under or around furniture.
Not so good.
– Build quality is OK but i’m not sure it will last as well as the old C3. I’m particularly careful with the knob that controls the suction power as other reviewers have said it’s a bit fragile. That said the vac is much better than the expensive Dysons we have previously had with their brittle snappy-offy plastic bits.
– The brush that slides down the handle is pretty silly and ineffective. We use it with the soft brush that came with the C3 or you can by another for about 10 from Amazon.
All in all we’re pleased with it.
Very good , but if you have pets buy the one with power brush , even being super strong doesn’t take hairs from carpet , but my fault trying to save money !
My Dyson died on me so I bought the Miele Blizzard – and what a buy! This is amazing. Great suction and manoeuvrability. Lightweight and so easy to use. Looks good too! A great buy.

I now have 2 Hoover’s because the first one was a bosche cordless that was convenient without the cord but wouldnt suck up sock fluff from a rug. This does.

Plenty of reviews confirming this is an excellent bag less vacuum. I agree, great performance. What I’d like to highlight that at 7ft height, this is the first vacuum that i have ever used where i can comfortably vacuum without being hunched over. It is literally amazing.
This has replaced two dysons. Great power, in fact when it is on full suction it is difficult to move over the carpet! It is so light that we do not need a vacuum on each floor. Really happy with purchase

This is the most powerful “hoover” I’ve ever owned. Even cleaning the car I needed to turn it down to prevent the tool just sticking to the mats.
My only issue is the dusting tool has no place on the machine. Other tools click onto it but the duster does not.
This hoover is fantastic. Slightly heavier than the bag version but no more buying expensive bags.

So many model options quite confusing.
The model we chose was not for cats and dogs fur, but we soon found that the cleaning head for short pile carpets was the model for c&d.
Standard hose head o.k for wooden, vinyl . floors. sort of works on short pile.
We ordered a Mieli ‘s latest “Turbo Tec” head…not from Amazon .under 60 elsewhere inc p.p
Now we have the ideal cleaner.
Really well made, great suction, with various settings. Only slight problem is that it is quite heavy, but a good solid build and not too noisy. Very easy to empty without touching the dust.

I have been using miele for years and the durability is great, the standard is very high. Only the difference is the old one is with bag which is a hassle for me because if you don’t have extra bag to change it will be like you set it aside the hoovering and wait until you bought one. Now this one is totally perfect! I love as it is bagless.

Extremely well made, easy to operate and vacuums very well on carpet or hard floors.
To empty it, it is very simple and relatively dust free.

After looking around at different vacuum cleaner options and reviews, I decided to try the Miele Blizzard CX1 Powerline as the suction, power consumption, portability, ease of use and price all seemed pretty reasonable. It arrived today and I can categorically say, it is the best vacuum cleaner that I’ve ever used so far!
A lot of reviews are correct in saying its difficult to use on carpets though. It sucks so well that it physically lifts the carpet up, so watch out in the corners and edges where the carpet is being held by grips! It is also SIGNIFICANTLY larger than how it appears in the product photos. Either the person used as a model is a giant or something has been done to reduce the size of the unit as its the size of a small suitcase.
However, it’s also pretty light, quiet, easy to manoeuvre, picks up an obscene amount of dust, is really well designed (apart from the dusting brush attachment not having anywhere obvious to live) and feels incredibly well built. Whilst the less-able might struggle with using it on a regular basis, I think most people shouldn’t have any problems with it.
Good Points:
– Great design.
– EXCEPTIONAL suction.
– Easy to use.
– Lightweight.
– Quieter than most vacuums.
– Separates dust and solid materials for less of a mess when emptying.
– Feels luxurious.
Not-so-good Points:
– Older/Less-able users might struggle with the sheer power of the unit’s suction on carpets, but should be fine on hard surfaces.
– It’s much larger than expected.
– Lifts carpets.
– Requires a lot more force on carpets and would probably benefit from rollers, though there’s probably a design case against it.
Overall:
Its early days yet, but personally I believe this is one of the best value-for-money vacuum cleaners available on the market today. Sure, 200+ for a vacuum is quite a lot of money at face value, but in comparison with the cheaper VAX, Shark and other makes, you get a lot more for your hard-earned money with Miele. Definitely worth an investment.
Compared to the upright Dyson that this replaced, this is so much easier to use. Not lightweight, but very maneuverable. Incredibly quiet on all power settings, and the quick change nozzle on this model is well worth paying extra for. Power cable retracter works very well. Also looks great.
Needed a new vacuum cleaner. This one got goid reviees and delughted with purchase. It is very good qualuty abd lively design. A great buy and would recommend.
What can I say? Just love it. Worth every penny. Love all the handy features and it cleaned our lounge brilliantly. Got fluff out of it like it was a new carpet! We had a miele before and love that too but almost everything over the 11 years had been replaced and it just gave up one day. I’ll never have another brand even though really we can’t afford it.

I have had 4 Dyson to date. I believe I am now a convert to Miele. Yes, the vacuum itself is a little heavy. However, number of vacuum setting, the ease of use, assembly and the strength of the suction make up for it. I would say the mains recoil is very strong so watch your feet. Great vacuum!!
I bought a couple of vacuums before i chose this one and this is the best vacuum out of all of them. I can gurantee you will not regret it if you buy this vacuum.
after wasting money on a vax this is excellent. I have two daughters with long hair and a cat so hair is a problem but this picks it up well. I really like the fact that you can adjust the power.
Really powerful suction and compares well all the upright cleaners. A little on the heavy side to take upstairs but performance outweighs the weight.
