I di a lot of online and in shop research before buying the C3 cat and dog. It sucks up the dust well and the rotating head that comes with the cat and dog version beats out the dust as it vacuum cleans. I had previously been pulled in by the expensive gimmicky cyclone vacuum cleaners but so glad I went back to a well built cylinder. All well thought through and easy to move around the house. Just love i

I had a dog and cat one more than ten years, but the motor sound become so crazy noisy and the bag started not fit well inside machine and dust comes out actual inside of Hoover. So I bought a new one yesterday, it’s so quiet and suck good just as good as Dog and Cat one. It’s worth paying 236 pound as Used my last one lasted more than ten years, it’s worth it rather than buying cheap nasty machine which useless and hardly suck anything. I love Miele always although we in Japan so many good gadgets made in Japan but come to Hoover I love Miele.
I still get Email from Miele Japan, hahaha, I had Mile while I was there too, unfortunately it’s different voltage so gave it to my friend.
Miele won’t let you down. Only one thing I miss Japanese Hoover, as they have controller near the pipe near where you grip, it’s so easy to stop or change the function instead of going back to the Hoover itself. Hope my shopping Hoover time is another ten years time. But I am happy if last five years, but if survive for ten years it speak good quality. See how it go and write again. But so far I am happy about this one. Also my delivery man was ever so friendly and nice man in the dark cold weather, I appreciate people who carry things especially pandemic period as I was home all time Andy no car so it was difficult to buy bulky things. Thanks for hard working delivery people.

I have a Henry which I love but it’s heavy to carry up and downstairs. I bought the Miele for upstairs and it’s well worth the money. Useful tools and able to reach picture rails, under beds and it’s manoeuvrable and light.

Very impressed, much better than a Dyson Animal which constantly seemed to get blocked and was an absolute pig to unblock. Minor negative is you have to buy bags as no pack given with Hoover and bag connector feels a bit fragile / tricky. Overall though great, easy to use Hoover.

Not my first Miele vacuum and definitely the most powerful so I can only use the top power & brush on hard floors. The lower power with no brush is just as good on carpets if not better than my previous machine. Miele is a little more expensive but well worth the money.

Terrific suction ( can ‘dial’ it down easily ). Reliable, rugged and easy to move about on long cable.
Uses bags ( not expensive and last good time between changes) but saves inhaling dust from emptying ‘bag-less’ cleaners.
    Would definitely buy agai

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like everything about this vacuum cleaner. It does everything it said it would. I bought it to replace an old Hetty vacuum which was becoming too heavy for me- it’s at least 12 years old now and still going strong. The only thing I would say about the Miele that I find irritating is the shortish cord, making it necessary to change power points rather often.

Have been using Dyson vacuum cleaners for 8 years. Switching back to Miele. This one is miles better than the Dyson roll we have, longer cord, better suction, to my surprise compact and easy to use. More compact than my Dyson.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI can’t agree with the other recent reviewers here, although they all have C3 versions and I purchased the cheaper C1. This is a fantastic vacuum cleaner – especially considering the price. I’ve bought Miele’s for a couple of decades now, and today’s model is a massive improvement on the past – eliminating all the major problem areas.

The suction is epic – but totally controllable via the switch on the body, from butterfly wings to wind-tunnel. In an emergency the slide valve on the pipe can of course be used to relieve pressure at the nozzle in an instant. The cable retraction is ultra slick and requires continuous foot pressure for operation. It may be counterintuitive, but this is so much better than the press-once type. The machine is more stable than its predecessors – without the tendency to be pulled over all the time, ending up on its side or upside-down.

It is also very lightweight, and quieter than before. The on-off switch works without having to press it again and again. I really like the new smooth extending mechanism for the main tube too.

The important thing about vacuums with the static type of head like this is that they are not particularly good at picking up hair and fluff off carpet. As other reviewers have noted, they tend to bundle it up and push it around, rather than lifting it. But if you’re prepared to settle for a little technique then this won’t be a problem. Just bundle up the fluff and hair, remove the head and then suck it up with the bare nozzle. It lifts easily and only takes a second or two.

My only real complaint is that the penny-pinchers in the finance department (presumably) have shortened the cable by about six feet. That may not seem much, but now it means I have to replug every day where I didn’t before. So every day for the rest of my life (or the life of this vacuum, whichever is shorter) I’ll be reminded of the cheapskates at Miele. Talk about ruining the ship for a halfpenny of tar.

Having said that, it’s still a really great vacuum, and you should buy it.

I was not very happy with the instructions. All the small ‘air clean’ are difficult to install and the instructions are not very easy to understand.

The worries that the new EU restriction on power of vacuum cleaners would make our cleaning more difficult and take far longer (wasting energy) have been exorcised well and good! It’s more powerful than my old 2kW Vax (which was wet-and-dry but I had to make do with a dry-only replacement) even though it’s only 880W — This thing sticks to the floor and lifts up the carpet when I try to lift the nozzle!! The minor design issues I have are that the clever foot-button method of reducing the power in 6 settings doesn’t really have a huge effect (3 settings would do because it only takes it down to half the resulting suction) and the hose is a non-standard size so I can’t use my old attachments (they only provide a short stubby crevace nozzle so you can’t get into deep tight spaces, like down the side of my car seats). But on full power it is NEXT TO SILENT compared with my old 2kW Vax. They also do a “silent” model but that’s only rated to drop 3 or 5 dB and I can say this thing is so quiet you really won’t care to try any harder 🙂

I wanted to buy another quiet vacuum cleaner when my much beloved bosch prosilence 59 died. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this c3 silence ecoline so I was really confused but decided to buy and see how it performs because I can not stand using loud vacuum cleaners.
First don’t believe who says that this machine does not have a good suction. Eventhough it is 550W , it lifts my rugs even on carpet setting. When placing my order , I was planning to use it on the highest setting. I used it for the first time yesterday and I was amazed and also happy to see how powerful it was. No need to use it on the highest setting all the time.
After reading reviews I also bought a turbo brush to use with rugs . The original brush that comes with it does not have any rollers underneat ( my previous bosch had small rollers) which makes it hard to push on rugs and carpets. As long as I understand Miele does it on purpose. They want us to buy the expensive brush (62) as an extra. This brush should be standart with all C3 series or Miele should put a pair of rollers underneat its cheap foot brush.
Anyway, I bought it because I have carpal tunnel on my hands and I did not want to hurt my hands . The brush makes such a big difference in using it over rugs/ carpets. The turbo brush ( the one I bought is called turboteq) glides over rugs and carpets with the help of the rollers.
If you have only one rug or carpet I think you don’t need to buy turbo brush, the brush that comes with the machine is not that bad. It is just the turbo brush just makes it very easy and quick to vacuum rugs.
Other than that it is a great powerful and quiet machine. I am glad I bought it.

Had this brand for last 13 years (1 vac). If this one lasts the same amount of time I will be very happy. Although it is lower power, 890 watts as apposed to 2000, the suction seems just as good and it is lighter and quieter. Total recommend , especially at a price of 224.

This vacuum cleaner is very reliable and manoeuvrable, with plenty of suction power. It vacuums perfectly on hard floors, but not so well on carpets. It is particularly poor at picking up hair. The turbo brush is okay until all the hair gets tangled around the brush, and then you have spend a lot of time untangling and removing the hair from the brush – why bother? I just use the floor head (instead of the turbo brush), and for difficult spots I take of the head and just point the hose directly at the stubborn areas.

Bought a C1 Miele 18 months ago, it was so good my husband borrowed it for his work premises and it’s never returned home!! So hence the C3 which is even better than the C1!

Really pleased with it, I know people are not keen on the bag system but it’s so easy and no mess – unlike my previous dyson cordless! The bags also take a long time to fill too, I was worried that I’d be paying a fortune for replacement bags!

The C3 has a great storage space for the additional tools. Great to have the option to turn up or down the power too and the main hoover part can change between hard floors and carpets with a simple flick of the switch. It’s also very quiet even on the highest settings and the switch that reels in the cable is brilliant, one click and it packs it all away inside the hoover!

I suppose the only downside is that it doesn’t fold down as neatly as my previous dyson cordless but it can soon be put in an under stair cupboard etc!

Much quieter than any previous vacuum. Strong suction but adjustable so good for curtains and upholstery. Air is expelled up so it doesn’t blow dust around. Tools are stored on board which is handy and the tube is telescopic. Hair seems to “pill” on the carpet and require picking up but this may be the type of carpet as it only really happens in one room. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersDon’t believe the negative reviews about this – well, not completely at any rate (and certainly not the 1-Star ones)…

Yes, this vacuum cleaner is VERY powerful. The trouble is, the cleaning head supplied with it is really only suited to parquet floors. You can control the suction with the slider on the handle (the same as other vacuums) and with the + / – buttons on the machine’s body but the bottom line is the supplied head just doesn’t work well with carpets. I started out wondering, like others, whether I’d made the right purchase, then bought a different brush head and everything changed (for the better)…

Basically, if you’re vacuuming carpets you simply MUST buy the Miele TurboTeq brush head (on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0749WMW3X/ ). Whilst that may seem unreasonable (another 65-80, depending on Amazon price fluctuation), it truly changes the character of the machine. The TurboTeq head has roller brushes built into it which turn due to the suction, giving you pretty much the same performance as an upright vacuum cleaner on carpets. Added to that, it’s great for picking up hair from pets. In fact, it’s supplied as standard on the C3 Cat & Dog which struck me as a bit counter-intuitive as I would have thought if you have pets and wanted a vacuum cleaner that didn’t upset them then a quiet one like this would be better! Still, Miele didn’t ask me so what do I know?

On the subject of noise, it isn’t ‘silent’ but it is *a lot* less noisy than other vacuums. In fact, it makes less noise than my air purifier when they’re both operating next to each other (with the air purifier on full power). The soundproofing adds a bit of weight which, coupled with the sturdy build quality, means it might not be right for you if you have trouble lifting or moving heavy things (particularly on stairs) but if not then it’s a worthwhile investment.

When I first found this on Amazon it was c.230 just for the vacuum cleaner so I waited for the Amazon price to drop and got it a few months ago for 160 (with free delivery on Amazon Prime) then recently bought the TurboTeq brush head at 65, so, 225 all told. It was definitely worth the wait.

I would have given 5 stars, but for the following reasons. I dont like the comfort cable reel, the button for it is far too sensitive. When maneouring the vacuum in small spaces if the hoover hose taps the button the cable starts reeling itself in. I also dont like that there is no warning to tell you when to stop pulling the cable out, in the long run I suspect this will result in the connections inside getting damaged. But its lasted a year so far and so far so good. 4 stars may be a little harsh, because I would buy this vacuum again especially as I bought it in last years black friday sale and that price it was excellent value for money. The quietness of this machine is remarkable, you can watch tv while hoovering it is that quiet.

Miele vacuums are recommend by Which magazine and I had one for the past 5 years. It was used virtually every day and eventually stopped working but I have yet to find out why. This was a replacement, so I found it every bit as good and a bit quieter due to the European directive on vacuum noise. My only gripe is the extension tube, unlike the previous one, is quite difficult to remove from main suction tube which you would do to add some of the small
attachments. Other than that, I would recommend these as a home vacuum cleaner.

Cannot believe how quiet this vacuum cleaner is! The wife and I can easily have a conversation while doing the vacuuming (even on maximum). Some of the reviews say that it lacks suction power. We haven’t had any issues cleaning up after our two active toddlers (we have thick pike carpets upstairs and laminate downstairs). You do need to make sure you use the right settings/adjustments for the different floor types, but it is straight forward.

I should’ve bought one of these years ago. It’s a vacuum cleaner, not a fashion accessory and it does what it’s supposed to do really well, it’s well made and has a rediculously long power chord which smoothly returns inside the machine with a reassuring gentle “clunk”, you don’t feel like your about to lose an ankle when you press the chord button. My recommendation is that you dump your fashion accessory which is twice or three times the price of this machine and replace it with this one.

I’ve had it for 2 months now and am so pleased with it. I read several reviews and a lot of the negatives were on how it performed on carpet and as I had all hardwood floors I went ahead and purchased anyway. It is amazing, very quiet and even on the loudest setting it is only the sound of a normal vacuum. The suction is perfect on our hardwood floors and there are 5 settings if you need more or less power.

Also I found it worked fine on the carpets that we do own – just use your foot to press down of the carpet so it isn’t moved with the vacuum head.

Just to put it up front, the unit stopped working after around 9 months of use, but after contacting Miele they shipped a box for us to send it back for inspection, repaired it and we got it back in working order within a week. So I terms of customer service, they have done very well.

In use, the unit provides impressive suction, and it is very quiet – it’s in fact quiet enough that if we take our toddler for a nap during the day in her room, it is barely audible while vacuuming in the hallway outside. I have never owned a vacuum this quiet and powerful. And after two years of using it, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Very quiet and easy to use. Compact design that easily stores away. Pick up good on hard floors and newish carpet, drags a little on carpet that has been flattened slightly.

Got this to replace my old Miele which eventually passed on after years of service. This is bigger, heavier maybe not as powerful as the smaller model I had , but boy it is quiet. You can vacuum and still hear the hi fi or tv

Finally free of my upright Dyson, no vacuum cleaner should ever make you that cross! This one was half the price and you can bearly hear it. I turn it down a bit when I use it on our cheaper carpet rooms but works well on high if your carpet has been fitted well. Love it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to replace S5211 that gave up the ghost after 10 years when my daughter used to to vacuum water. Was concerned that the suction power wouldn’t be the same because of the lower power (due to EU rules) but the suction power is equal or better. Very happy with the choice, just like the other one. Will stay loyal to Miele.

Bit too heavy for me, both the machine and pushing the head; and am struggling with shape of head, doesn’t get into corners the same as the Dyson did. However my cats love the lack of noise!!!

This is a well made cleaner. Miele accessories are quite expensive, but also well made. My only complaint is that the standard foot “sticks” to carpet if the suction power is set to the highest two settings. Fortunately, I don’t have much carpet, most of my floor being tiles or wood.

This is a quiet machine. It is also much better than our last machine, of a different make, which just moved the dirt around the floor rather than picking it up. The bags seem to fill up quickly and are expensive. I would recommend it.

Good suction, need to use the adjuster on the pipe to tame it at times!
So quiet I can even listen to the radio whilst vacuuming.
The only complaint is that the door to the tool compartment doesn’t shut to properly on one side.

Excellent vacuum cleaner and amazingly quiet – in fact so quiet that I wasn’t even sure it was switched on. Yet it is very powerful despite the low nominal power – another plus. The only slight negative is that it is a bit on the heavy side but by no means excessively so.

I have bought many vacuum cleaners in different sizes and shapes and not one of them has beaten this Miele Complete C3 Silence Ecoline Bagged Vacuum Cleaner. The best that I have bought so far and worth the price (which was not cheap). Very powerful and hardly any noise. It’s bagged so you don’t have to fiddle around with emptying the bag. Works great on hard floors, carpets, great on stairs etc…Would definitely recommend.

I bought this because I trust the Miele brand and we needed something quiet. I was not prepared for just how quiet this model is, especially when the power is not set to maximum. Very pleasantly surprised.

So far, it does not seem that there is a trade-off between noise and cleaning effectiveness. Other reviewers have noted that the cleaning head is a little strange and takes some getting used to, but in the end it works very well.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersBought to replace our 12 y/o Miele ‘Cat and Dog’ which had the bearings pack up in the 2Kw motor. Due to the change in EU legilislation I did have some misgivings that the 900w motor in this one and it would not be up to the job , but my concerns were unfounded and it provides significant suction. It has the bonus that it is significantly quieter than the one that it replaces. It is also well built. No quams about recommending it to others

Really impressed at how quiet and powerful this device is compared to our cordless vacuum with well know brand- glad to have made the move away from cordless/ bagless. We have had this for several weeks without any indication that the bag needs changing- we acquired a pack of 4 bags and 2 filters through Amazon at a small cost- I expect this meet my accessories needs for the next year.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI was very happy with the overall look of this vacuum. It’s Lotus WHite colour is easy on the eye. My 3rd Miele, this is quieter than the rest, uses less energy but cleans effectively. I have a dog, and have wooden floors and rugs, and the vauum keeps the floors spick and span. The long cord is a bonus, as I am exceptionally lazy about plugging and unplugging, and with a 12M operating radius, it’s not necessary. Also, no need to waste time searching for the attachments, because they’re all onboard. No disturbing neighbours with late night vacuuming noise. Generally, this is a great all rounder.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersPurchased this model as have used Miele in the past and have always been impressed with the performance. I can’t say the same of this model as it’s not great at picking up loose bits from carpets nor is it good at collecting cat hair (I have 3 feline beauties – Cheeky, Claude and Fudge). The noise level is much more pleasing on my ears and I like the way you get to choose the option of the surface you are cleaning.

My overall opinion is that this model is worth buying given that it’s eco friendly but I still favour the Power Plus 5000

Great vacuum cleaner, very quiet to the point it feels like it is under-powered but actually has great suction. Which? Magazine recommended product. Really long cord so less switching sockets required, accessories hidden under the front flap.

The product is light and easy to use. The attachments are easy to fit but the crevice tool is not long enough, so had to buy the extension crevice tool. The tools enable cleaning of a car interior. The casing of the machine scratches very easily. However suction is good. The hose and cable is cumbersome when vacuming but goes with the cylinder design.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought this to replace a 6 year old Miele C2 which stopped working. This one is identical in size and shape (with the same 3 nozzles stored onboard), but it actually a bit lighter and far more powerful in suction than the old one. The floor head has also been redesigned and now picks up things like long hair much more easily from carpets. Bear in mind when it’s time to replace the Airclean filter on this you can swap it for the Hepa filter instead (they all interchange). Superb price on Amazon compared to high street shops, so an easy 5 star.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersLight, very powerful (890W version), quiet and seems to be quicker to vacuum the house than the Kirby – much more versatile, stairs, carpet, vinyl and hard surfaces seamlessly cleaned without the faff of constant re-setting for different floor types. Stairs are easy as the hose, tubes and head are really effective at doing this job quickly. The options for filter, bags and consumables vast and confusing though do seem to be less dusty/smelly than the Kirby in use. For this who struggle with it sucking the head to the surface and making vacuuming hard, back off the flow – efficiency is just a good and makes the job easy.
