I bought this charger to use when we travel – the premise being that it should minimise the number of chargers we need to with multiple phones and tablets. For this purpose it is very useful – small footprint and good charging capability, with the flexibility of multiple plugs as well. One small gripe would be that when plugged in the light is pretty bright. A consideration if that is something that disturbs your sleep in a dark room.
On a recent trip I noticed that one of the USB-C ports wasn’t working. I contacted the support team at Minix, and having showed them the issue they agreed to issue a replacement unit. The unit was waiting for me when I got home 2 days later. The process was painless and I would recommend Minix and their service

Products great when charging one device at a time, however for example charging 2 phones will seriously slow down the progress of each phone being charged. I tested it with one usb-c and the other usb and then both usb-c. So for charging muliple devices i would not really recommend this but for a singular device this is phenomenally fast. Charge my phone of 5000mah in less than 35 mins 0-100%

it is a great addition to my office & travelling stuffs.

    It works perfectly, reliably.
    Smaller than other models.
I purchased a different product few weeks before for my family in Italy, but this is slimmer, better refined, with travel accessories to use it in any country and it also gets less warm than that one.
It is a good product, no doubt.

Purchased to replace my bulkier 100W Razer Blade Stealth charger. Works perfectly.

Would love for them to make a slightly higher wattage charger so I can charge others devices at the same time as powering my my 100W laptop at full power.

With so much of our modern gear needing a charger, my desk was getting pretty cluttered. The addition of a new Samsung flagship phone which seemingly needs its own power station to charge it in a reasonable time, I decided to get shot of all the old chargers filling up a 6 way power block under my desk. This one charger can now super-fast charge 4 devices at once, releasing 3 mains sockets.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSummary – as business user I would choose the MINIX. If as a student user I would more likely opt for the EgoWay.

Earlier in 2021, while hunting for a multi USB charger capable to charge my main HP laptop, Samsung tablets and Samsung phones, the priority then was to ensure the laptop could be powered. Having found USB C to HP converter cable, it was then possible to go ahead to choose an actual charger. Bought the Minix because at the time the search did not reveal EgoWay on Amazon.

The Minix arrived and I was pleased it has USA native plug built in plus 3 converter plugs to slot onto the USA pins for use in other countries. With the 4 options, I knew I could use it in all the 40 countries where I had work assignments before. What I was not entirely happy about was that the plugs feel too flimsy to carry the entire dead weight of the charger. It may be fine if you use it in hotels or offices but I use it on ships and inside trailers on wheels in the desert. A sand storm would make the trailer shake and a storm at sea would undoubtedly end up breaking a plug. So I had to find a way to allow the charger to sit on the desk and be stuck on with velcro to stop it sliding around.

1st attempt was to purchase perfk IEC 320 Adapter Socket, C8 To Cloverleaf Plug C9 Power Adapter. Didn’t work because the socket of C9 did not allow the 2 pins of USA plug to fit.

2nd attempt found the lightest weight extension cable for the task – InLine Euro Male to Euro Female Extension Cable 2 m – but of course need to use the Euro type C adaptor on the Minix first. The side benefit of this particular extension cable is that a Philips Discovery 1200W hair dryer could plug into it. (N.B. for safety reasons I would not recommend this extension cable for hair dryers unless the dryer is low power like this 1200W in the photo. The only trouble was this cable was unfairly expensive to procure in UK. Nevermind it works.

Months later EgoWay was found on Amazon. I bought it without too much hesitation due to the type C7 and C8 power connection (obviates me having to use so many adaptors). I was sure it would be possible to buy the power cables at the relevant airports soon as I arrive in respective countries. When the EgoWay arrived, I was disappointed. It is bigger and heavier than Minix and about twice the size of the HP laptop charger. 2nd disappointment was the HP laptop had to be connected to 1st USB C socket when Samsung Galaxybook laptop was connected to USB C 2, Samsung S7 + to USB A 3 and Samsung S6 lite connected to USB A 4. Swapping HP Probook 455 G7 and Galaxybook to the other way around would not power the HP. By that I concluded the exgtra ports on HP requires extra electrical current to reach them all as compared to the Galaxybook laptop (with 3 less types of ports). To be fair to EgoWay the description does say it is only 90W whereas the Minix is 100W.

If you are a business user and not having to work in earthquake zones, or offshore on ships or in remote caravan crews, then the Minix would be good enough to power two laptops + other equipment. For most other people, the EgoWay would be fine and would be the obvious choice seeing as it has significant cost advantage. If you work in an environment where it rolls, shakes or otherwise vibrates, then EgoWay is also the obvious choice unless you take the trouble to source all the parts independently. Both chargers are good purchases.

Weight saved - Minix v. EgoWay

This is brilliant. It’s all you need. Been going strong, through 3 countries for a couple of months. Charges everything I own at the best speed available, and it’s tiny. Plugs for most countries – it would be nice if they were built-in because I fear losing them. Other than that, I’ve been wanting something like this for ages, and it’s cut down on so much bulk.

This is one off the most compact and powerful charger. I’m able to power two 45w device over the usb-c ports. The only annoying flaw is the power socket attachment design. There’s no extension lead attached to this charger. So you have to plug it to the wall and are expected to have long usb cables from the floor to your laptops or devices. You’d need at least 2-3m long cables. They could’ve solved that by using a standard two pin socket attachment similar to iPhone chargers. Their attachments are custom designs so you can’t use any other extension leads on it. Also when you plug it to the wall, the charger sticks out so much that it’s difficult to plug in tight corners or behind furnitures.

Very capable charger with one very annoying flaw

Very impressive & powerful charger. I have two. The poor reviews seem to have ignored the chart that clearly shows the voltage you get from plugging a variety of devices into it. Any charger is going to dip performance depending on the type and number of connections.

Like everyone these days I have a LOT of USB chargers! But as time goes by and equipment develops the older ones have become less and less effective and I have several devices that need more than a basic charger – and not just the obvious tablets, phones and computers which need a totally different output from their chargers.
This Minix charger will charge pretty much everything that uses USB apart from my Dell XPS 17 – but then it doesn’t claim to be able to do that.
I have two very picky rechargeable studio lights that, until now, would only charge from a very specific PD charger. The Minix will charge them both at the same time!
An excellent device which I will use a LOT!

UPDATE: Minix sent out a replacement charger in a very quick time frame at no extra charge. Any fault I did have has now been fixed, so yes the plastic in the adapter broke but due to the speedy customer services I rate them 5 stars.

(OLD review) The charger it’s self works great but the UK wall adapter is very brittle and broke of after having it a week. So if you need this I would say it’s not great for traveling. Or at least be able to buy repayment adapters if they break. I can see this being a problem with the UK adapter as it’s the only one with a plastic prong. This has deemed the whole charger useless which is a shame after paying over 50. It’s something for the UK buyers to consider.

As usual, Amazon got this Minx P2 to me the day after purchasing.
First impressions, in the hand it feels great, it’s not too big, not too heavy, looks top quality.
I needed something that could charge my phone and laptop on the move, which this thing can do no sweat!
I’ve tested it with a few devices and it fast charges everything, no problems 🙂 it barely gets warm.
It come with EU, Australian and UK adapter plates, which plug into a US style swing out prong at the back of the device, I think it would be fine for use in Japan too.
It also comes with a couple of cool pouches to put everything in while you’re out and about, and a user manual.
I have added a couple pictures of what charging protocols it supports incase you need to know.
Great bit of kit for a great price, would recommend definitely, will purchase from Minix again in the future.

Minix P2, it's brilliant if you're on the move :)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDoes the job. Seems to charge my devices faster than the charger that came with it (61W), certainly no slower. Don’t have a meter to prove it chargers my laptop at 100W but it doesn’t seem far off for me to assume it doesn’t.

Also charger my tablet and phone at the same time as laptop. Not sure what power-distribution the minix neo p2 uses, but if I plug my laptop in, then my tablet, then my phone, it chargers them all correctly and at an adequate speed. This is perfect for travel and trips to the library as I only have to carry one brick and four cables, and more importantly I NOW ONLY REQUIRE ONE UK SOCKET! Hooray. Library trips used to be a disaster as I would need 3-4 sockets and there would only be 1 or 2. This is no more.

For reference I also have the Satechi 75W charger and used to take this to the library. This Neo p2 has relegated the Satechi to the confines of my desk in my bedroom. It also feels a lot sturdier: weighting, flex, durability, etc. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a versatile charger with multiple outputs that works really well for travelling.

Having 4 sockets is very useful – particularly 2 x USB-C as this means you can charge a laptop and a phone at the same time. Every device I’ve tried has charged at full speed.

Charger is a small size and made out of robust plastic, so I have no concerns with it getting damaged while travelling. It’s perhaps not as small as other travel chargers (e.g. an Apple iPhone charger), but having 4 USB sockets means I only need to bring this single charger.
Usefully, it comes with plug adapters for UK and European sockets, and the charger without any adapters will plug into a US socket. The plug adapters fit well onto the charger and because the charger slides down onto them, the charger won’t come off the adapter while it is in use.

Overall, really pleased with it, it solves a problem well.

I’ve been using this Minix charger now for a couple of weeks and have been very impressed so far.

I typically have my MBP 15 and iPad Pro charging at the same time, sometimes with a phone and/or some other USB charging going on too, all of which seem to have satisfactory power.

The charger seems to manage its heat well and not get overly hot. The charger is a similar size to the Apple 85W supply, but is rectangular as opposed to square, this seems to make is less bulky. It’s great for travelling around as it combines several plugs/chargers/travel adaptors all in one!

Overall, very pleased and would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy charger takes up one mains plug but lets me charge four devices at once – saving space. The unit is plugged in now without anything attached and is cold – so I believe that this means it’s drawing no power – apart from a white LED on the end. I used it to charge my iPhone and MacBook 12″ and it dealt with them at full power at the same time. When I travel by train I need a smaller charge to fit into my bag as this is slightly larger, but for some people the dimensions will work well, as it covers multiple devices. You could even charge someone else’s device if needed.

Overall it’s a solid piece of kit and recommended. Bill.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI’ve been looking for a new travel power charger, for when we can start travelling again, and this ticks all the boxes allowing me to travel with only one power brick and a few cables, at last! I’ve tested with 2 x Mac Book Pro’s (13″ & 15″) and 2 x iPads and all charged at the same time! I’ve not done and charging speed tests, but it seems to perform as well as the default ones that come with the Apple products.

    PRO’S
Small, easily fits in my small MacBook laptop bag
Comes with a nice little travel poach
Good design with the US > UK plug fitting, really neat
Doesn’t buzz when switched on, i’ve had a few in the past that have done this
    Good solid build quality

    CONS
When the charger has power it has a small indicator light, ok when i’m at home and charging is in the lounge or kitchen, but travelling and stopping in hotels this maybe a pain, going to have to get the insulating tape out!

    Happy charging 🙂

It comes with US, EU and UK plugs, and is slim and light – easy for traveling, and perfect as a desktop power solution. No more scrambling about under my desk swapping plugs and cables. The design is slim and stylish, and it comes with a slip case for the main unit and a smaller case for the international plugs. All in all, a really well thought-out product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEDIT:

I’m updating my review from earlier. The Minix engineering team took detailed information from me, and quickly diagnosed a problem with Samsung Fast Charging (Samsung’s term for their Qualcomm QuickCharge implementation) when using a particular Exynos chipset, specifically 9825. They thanked me for my help and offered a full refund, and are updating the product details to note that this chipset is not compatible. On the strength of this excellent customer service, and my belief that the problem was down to Samsung’s implementation, I’ve revised my review and rating.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Samsung A40 at first recognises the Minix Neo P2 as compatible with its Fast Charging. But after a few minutes, it stops charging at all. Not charging slowly… Completely stops charging. The phone shows that a “Fast Charging” charger is still attached, but there is no current actually being drawn. Feels like a firmware mismatch between the phone and the charger. This is di sappointing given that I’m using a very popular phone.

The problem occurs both on the USB-C and USB-A ports in the charger. I’ve tried multiple cables, and verified that the phone charges OK (and quickly) with a RAVpower QuickCharge-compliant charger.

I’ve contacted Minix support and am awaiting a reply.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve been looking for something to replace three different chargers I have on my desk and this MINIX charger, at least on the paper, described exactly what I was after. Last night I accidentally discharged my Macbook Pro 13″ to 3% so decided to put it to a test: I used it as a charger for the laptop, along with my, now permanent feature, Raspberry Pi4 with SSD acting as a desktop computer and just for a good measure added my phone (3+ year old with micro USB) for charging. And it passed with flying colours! MBP was charged just slightly over 1.5h, phone as well – while RPi was happily working in the background. One of the worries was that it might overheat and, while at such load it did warm up – it never become hot and was nothing in comparison to what some other chargers I have and (mis)used.

This MINIX charger definitively is good value for money. I can also already see it being used as replacement for collection of power adapters our family takes with us on holiday (mostly in Europe) – it came with both UK and EU socket adapters – now I need to place other one at place I can find it…

The Turbo Charger automatically adjusts the power output on each port to match the device needs that are connected to it, which ensures that everything is safe.

    Very happy.

I’ve been using the Minix Neo P2 for a couple of days now and have to say its brilliant. The unit is well made and comes with a UK and EU adaptor which are easily interchangeable. There’s a couple of pouches – one for the unit and one for the adaptors which is a nice touch. It charges my Note 10 plus quicker than my other USB adaptor but not as quick as the dedicated Samsung charger but that’s no deal-breaker for me as it’s still super quick. All-in-all its a great unit thats great for travel with 2 USB C and 2 USB A ports that charge my devices quickly. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and can recommend it to others.
