Very useful for us, lighting up awkward landing and stairwell at night for us and for visitors. Still going on 1st charge of rechargeable batteries after 4 weeks

Excellent night lights- well built, not too bright to be disturbing or hurt your eyes at 6am, sensitive PIR sensors. I’ll be buying a few more.

Small but very effective night lights. I’ve used them at floor level to avoid putting on main light for toilet visits at night. Also in the cupboards for the mains electricity ( invaluable when the differentials jump in a storm!)

Expensive for what it is, but serves the purpose well, comparatively bright light for a safe or small drawer. Did not work with rechargeable batteries, looks like it needs 1.5V, not 1.2…

These are one of the best purchases I’ve made so far – absolutely brilliant and the batteries last for ever. Very Impressed

Purchased on an Amazon lightening deal a few months ago.

It’s still working great on the original batteries 10 months later.

Perfect brightness for seeing where you’re going in the dark (mine is in my en suite)

It has sticky pads on the back of the light to allow you to stick it to tiles for a bathroom, or screwholes where you can more permanently attach it if you desire.

It has stopped my kids from turning on the big light in our bedroom if they decide they need the toilet in the middle of the night.

Would have paid 10 times what it cost to stop that alone !

I really love this product. They’re very simple and easy to install. I bought them at Christmas and haven’t had to change the batteries yet. They provide a good deal of light for their size and can be placed in small areas. Great products; it’s a shame that their other products are a bit on the pricey side, as I’d quite like to have more of them.

Great little product which I use inside my wardrobe to light it up on dark mornings. Have been using it for many months now and the batteries appear to be lasting very well. Very easily fitted with the sticker provided, good amount of light from such a small product. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a small night light or to illuminate a wardrobe.

Got these in a porch area where there is no light. They are very powerful for their size and the batteries have lasted ages considering the amount of use. The movement sensors work perfectly and they stay on for just the right amount of time.

    Useful little lights.

We have an upstairs hallway with no windows, so these come in quite handy.

I’ve heard of people taking these out of the box, slotting some batteries in and complaining about the sensitivity. They need to be fixed in place so the sensors get used to the area they are serving. After that they work flawlessly.

Cheapo, budget batteries barely last any time at all, but Duracells last months. Definitely worthwhile, but I think they are overpriced at their normal price – wait for an offer.

Great for lighting up a dark stairway, just detects movement at the right level, and is bright enough to light the way without disorientation at night. Lasts ages on even rechargeable batteries (the enloop style)

Thought these would be a good idea, turns out I was absolutely right. Placed one in my bedroom and when I wake up the light is on with just enough illumination to switch on the bedside light or get to the door. The other is just over the front door and gives enough light to locate the main light switch. All this without lifting a finger, you just have to move! I am often surprised at the effective range of the motion sensor.

Got these on offer and kinda bought them as a “will decide what to do with these later”. Set them up over the kitchen door and the bedroom door (effectively covering the downstairs hall and upstairs hall) and they are very good indeed. Having 3 small children both me and my wife always end up getting up during the night or early morning and these little lights ensure the minimum of disruption should your child need a wee or just is an early riser, ensures safe passage and stay on for about the right amount of time. I will seriously consider getting more at some point and the need require.

These are brilliant just what I needed. One went into my porch and the other in my hall. When my mum came to stay for a few days it was great as it lit her way to the loo without fumbling around finding light switches and at 86 she now needs simplicity. I have recommended to friends. Arrived in record time too.

Was greatly impressed with these. Using one under the stairs and when our bathroom light went off we put one of these in until we replaced the broken one which had to be ordered. We have even left it in the bathroom as through the night it is excellent. Open the door and it comes on with the sensor and goes off after a few seconds after closing the door. Cheap and easy

These work great to provide some illumination for those middle of the night visits to the toilet without blasting you with too much light. We don’t have them mounted, but simply placed above a cabinet and also at floor level. It would be good to able to vary the length of time these lights stay on for as they often go off in the middle of doing your business. A quick wave brings them back on again so it’s not a big deal. One set of rechargeable AAA batteries installed has lasted us several months and there’s no sign of them dimming or needing to be replaced yet.

These little lights do a perfect job to light up a small toilet we have next to our sons room. To avoid him having to find a light switch, this works a treat, producing just enough light to not hurt tired eyes, but light enough to ‘aim and fire’! They are not the best looking accessory in fairness, and they look bigger than I first expected, but the tiny LED really surprised me with it’s depth of field and brightness.

These lights are great, only come on when they see movement. Bought the first set for my mother who is in her eighties and needs to “go” a number of times during the night but has had a few falls, these lights light her way through the house without her having to find light switches. Having seen them work this is a second set for me. “Good” batteries seem to last about 9-10 months. Best thing I have ever bought my mother.

It’s perfect for peeing, sorry I meant seeing, during those middle of the middle of the night visits. Wouldn’t pay the RRP but no-one does these days for anything. Now that I’ve got them I think that I might have argued myself into paying the 16.50 for the convenience, pun intended. As it happens I’m over the moon with paying 8.99 lightening deal price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this two pack of Mr. Beams MB702 Wireless Motion-Sensing Mini Lights to add some
light to a rather dark cupboard in which the electric box, and gas meter are installed. They are quite
small, being approximately 11 cm long, by 4.5 cm in height, with a depth of 2.5 cm, and each light
requires the insertion of 4 AAA batteries to operate. Batteries are not included in the purchase.
Despite the small size, they give off enough light to see what the spiders are doing in the cupboard,
and to check the meters. Only lighting up when they detect significant movement, both human or
pets. They switch off within seconds of you moving out of the line of detection.

They arrived in a purely utilitarian cardboard box, and come with a choice of fixings, screws or double
sided stickers. I found that screws were the best means to fix the lights to the wall as they were both
a little stiff when trying to remove the back plate to insert the batteries, and that the sticker would most
probably need replacing every time you change the batteries.
The LED’s may be tiny, but they work well.

I thought these represented good value for money. Smaller than expected and could be brighter but it does the job and works well.
Its a cheap plastic box but once stuck or screwed to the wall you can’t feel the quality so they are fine.
Its useful just popping your head in the understairs cupboard and having the light go on.
Decided they were good and useful enough to get another couple but when I went back on line the price had doubled in just a day.
Still half the declared RRP but no longer the bargain they were. I’m managing without.

An amazing product. I bought these because I spotted them in the black Friday sale. It’s not the sort of thing I’d think to get otherwise. I’ve put one in my porch and it makes finding the right key so much easier. Plus they only come on when it’s dark. Not wasting power in the day. Didn’t rate it 5 star only because it’s not the most beautiful product, just a white block on the wall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPerhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but it does the job well. More convenient size than the previous “Mr. Beams” product I bought, but these are certainly more convenient as they can simply be popped on top of the door frame.
In my experience these products are generally well made, produce ample light for staggering into the toilet late at night, or rummaging around in the shed, the batteries last a surprisingly long time, and unlike similar products I’ve used, you don’t have to wave at the sensor to get a response.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe pack contains two little lights, which need 4 AAA batteries (not included). They give a surprisingly bright light for their size, quite effective for lighting a dark (small) cupboard or giving enough light to walk safely across the landing at night. They are not suitable for outside use, but would be effective in an enclosed porch or shed etc. The light is very small, and lights a small area – it will help you see to fit your key in a lock or find your way in the dark, but that’s all.
The lights come on automatically in response to motion, and are effective and not over-sensitive. They shut off automatically in daylight which is useful to save battery life. They cannot be switched off manually, except by removing the batteries (or putting the light away in a drawer if it’s not fixed in place).
The plastic cases feel a bit flimsy but have been OK so far. The lights are so small that it doesn’t really matter what they look like, you’d only really use them somewhere out of the way. They can be attached using little screws (supplied) or double sided tape (also supplied) – you’ll want to consider carefully how to fix them to make replacing the batteries relatively easy.
I’m using one light at the moment as a nightlight in a passageway, and it doesn’t get much use, so it’s too early to say how well the batteries last.
I’d say these are quite expensive for what they are, but they do seem to work very well. They are a handy and unobtrusive solution for cupboards, dark landings, etc., and very useful for children or anyone who needs to get up regularly in the night.

This is a pack of two LED lights. The lights have a motion sensor and are great for “hands-free” & automatic illumination anywhere you want it, e.g. hallway, store room etc. Included are a set of screws and some double-sided sticky adhesive tape. We used the tape so it was just a case of peel & stick. Each unit takes 4x AAA batteries, so be aware of how you position it as you need to be able to slide the battery compartment off in order to replace the batteries: this is actually quite a difficult task as the compartment is quite firmly attached. It is probably easier to remove the unit but I haven’t tried this in case the sticky tape loses its stickiness. The units do look cheap and plasticky but they provide good illumination and are quite handy to have in areas that would normally be difficult to install traditional lighting.

  62. ShelbyCardwell says:

I’m really impressed with these little lights!

I have used the to give a small amount of light after dark in the lean-to on the side of my kitchen, where my washing machine is. I don’t need masses of light, but equally wanted to just have some lighting out there to at least see what I’m doing when it gets darker. These fit the bill perfectly!

Very simple to load with batteries and put up. 2 AAAs each and a couple of screws (which are contained in the box). There are also two sticky strips for adhesive mounting, but I prefer to use a screw if possible so cannot comment on how effective sticking them up would be.

After darkness falls, the sensor picks you up when moving in the vicinity of the unit, and a really impressive amount of light is given off considering it’s such a small single LED. I haven’t timed it, but it stays on for a usefully prolonged amount of time.

These would be ideal in a cupboard or shed or some such place where you only occasionally need some ‘hands-free’ light.

These motion-sensing lights are working well in our house, and been operating without fault for about a month. The plastic casing doesn’t seem to be the most robust, but as they’re LEDs (and only come on in the dark), you shouldn’t be needing to change the batteries that often. The lights aren’t overly bright, so you’re not going to be dazzled when they come and as you stumble past them on the way to the bathroom, but are bright enough to make a difference. Quite expensive though, for what is effectively a motion sensor and an LED. Cheaper options are available.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis is great for the old fogey, off to bed after the grandchildren and their parents have long gone to the land of nod. When they are not here, I don’t hesitate to turn on the lights, but with young children threatening to wake up at any time, I am loath to do so. These lights have made a significant difference. Their gentle light is certainly much better than the bright and alarming lights from the mains, our previous only option.

I have one at the bottom and one at the top of the stairs to illumintate noctornal or just late night movement. During the day, the lights are not activated, although I suspect that a staircase without much natural daylight might mean that they come on unwanted, unneeded.

Sadly, they need 4 AA batteries each, which is a lot, and the batteries die all too quickly, in spite of a well lit staircase. In this day and age, surely there must be a more efficient LED solution. …

I’ve had the full sized versions of these before, but they wore out after a couple of years, so these are replacements for our bathroom at night time. Small, neat, and certainly bright enough to light your way to the loo in the night – without disturbing others or fumbling for the light switch and blinding yourself!! Light lasts well, but fades gradually as the batteries wear out, but this is a good thing as you know when to replace rather than ending up in the dark. I would say it stays on for 30 seconds before going out, but move and it comes back on, silently. Great value little glow lights.

  66. MatthewHeflin says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

These are fairly cheap and cheerful, but do work just fine. I’ve got them under my bed, so when I turn the lights out and have to walk round to my side, I don’t fall over all the stuff I otherwise might. The illumination isn’t particularly uniform in the same way that a torch might be, but it’s more than adequate for finding your way. It’s great that they only operate in the dark, saving battery life. The unit needs 4x AAA, not supplied.

You have to be careful where you put them though as they are quite sensitive. The first night I put them in a place where they could ‘see’ me sleeping, and when I moved or turned over, they lit up… and woke me up! Now they are under the bed, no further problems.

    Overall, useful and recommended.

  67. Anonymous says:

These are very simple but effective. Stick in some batteries and place them where you want light. They pick up movement effectively and don’t go off in daylight. No more fumbling for the switch in the middle of the night. Excellent product.

  68. BettyHardison says:

     United Kingdom

These were better than I was expecting. At the top of my stairs there is a small landing, around 2 foot wide, and then a step left or right to go to bedrooms and people are always tripping on them. We all do it, when the suns coming up and there’s just enough light to see so you don’t bother turning a light on and then trip! Not any more! I have placed these going either way so no that elusive step is seen. They are only 15 lumens so it doesn’t hurt your eyes after just waking up and turns on from around 10 feet away. I did think 4 batteries per unit was quite a lot but as its led and not overly bright they should last a good amount a time. If you need a small discreet led sensor light for a similar purpose then I would recommend these.

  69. Anonymous says:

When I opened the box, I was slightly surprised at how small these units were. However, technology has moved on and these have so far not disappointed by providing a good level of light in my cupboard. The lights are motion sensitive and do not have an on / off switch. They are powered by four AAA batteries which (disappointedly) were not provided. These are a useful set of lights – and I would consider buying a larger version for my shed.

  70. Elias Jahshan says:

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs the last person to go to bed in our house on most nights, I usually end up stumbling around in the dark, not wanting to turn on bright overhead lights for fear of disturbing sleeping children. With the Mr Beams MB702’s however, such nocturnal stumblings are done away with. One of these small units at the bottom of the stairs automatically lights my way up, preventing me from tripping over discarded toys, without creating enough illumination to disturb anyone else. Then it switches itself off until someone else has a need to head downstairs in the middle of the night and half asleep to get a glass of water or similar. In the morning it can be picked up an put away somewhere its motion detector will not be set-off until its need the following evening.

As such its an incredibly useful little light. Its small enough to disappear into the background, but bright enough to illuminate an entire stairwell sufficiently to see where you’re going. The motion detector is reliable and just about sensitive enough, and its also light sensitive so it doesn’t come on if left out in daylight or with overhead lights on.

The only downsides are that for such a small unit it takes a significant quantity of batteries (x4 AAA), and the build quality is definitely on the cheap side. In the two units I was sent I had to work quite hard to get the batteries to fit into their compartment, and the plastic cases don’t feel terribly robust. How durable these lights are remains to be seen.

Also, and this is a word of warning rather than a criticism, there is no off-switch on these lights, so if you’re intending to fix them permanently in place be prepared for them to come on in low light conditions even if you don’t want/need them to. The only way to switch them off is to remove the batteries, which isn’t the greatest solution.

Otherwise they offer a low cost alternative to always-on plug in night lights, and are a great way to avoid the pain of standing on a Lego brick in bare feet in the dark.

I was a bit dubious about these lights but so far so good. You get two in a pack. They need batteries 4 xAAA each. They also come with a couple of screws each for wall mounting and some sticky back foam pads. I wanted these for the downstairs cloak cupboard as it’s a really dark part of the house and it gets no light. I can never see what I’m looking for in there and end up with odd shoes! So I’ve stuck one lamp in the cupboard. When I first inserted the batteries the light came on straight away and stayed on for ages. Please note there is no on/off switch. The light is set off by motion but only works in a dark place. Have fun testing this theory! It’s like the age old game of checking to see if the fridge light works. I honestly have no idea if the light goes off in the dark or not. At least it’s work the way I hoped. I open the cupboard door, sensor sensors movement and voila! light goes on. I can see the shoes and no more odd shoes. As long as the batteries last a while this will be a good purchase. Not sure where to put the other one yet. I can see several uses of this. Dark hallways, stairs etc. You can stick them anywhere it’s dark and there might be movement. Could make a fun burglar alarm too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese are very compact and very useful little lights. I have put them under my cupboard under the stairs. They come on as soon as they sense motion and stay on for an adequate time . They give a good bright light. The sticky strips are very good , but, I am not sure how this will be when it comes to the time to change the batteries. The only reason I.have not given them 5 stars is I found it very difficult to remove the cover to put the batteries in . It was also difficult to fix the batteries in their slot and I found putting on the cover a bit of a job also. It could have just been me having a bad day. But all in all I would recommend these bright little lights.

Although I was aware of the Mr Beams brand through friends’ recommendation this pack was my first experience of one of their products. It is a pack of two LED lights which are small enough to mount discreetly in indoor areas where some extra light is required. They are PIR sensor enabled which means that they only operate when someone is in front of them, and from experience their operating range is between 3 — 4 metres (approx. 9 — 12ft). They also have built-in daylight sensors so that they don’t come on during daylight although I have found that they tend to come on a little earlier than is necessary, and unfortunately they are not adjustable for that.

The lights themselves are bright enough to be able to make things out in a bigger room but are better suited to smaller areas. I have found them to be very handy in my shed and also in my attic where I don’t have mains-powered lighting. They can be mounted using the double-sided sticky pads which are supplied or with a couple of small screws through the case. I like the fact that the units are quite compact and only measure around the same size as a TV remote-control unit (113 x 47 x 24 mm) but it’s worth noting that they aren’t supplied with any batteries. I haven’t had to change the batteries in my lamps yet so can’t comment on battery usage. There are a couple of features that I would like to see improved but overall I am quite pleased with them.

I was a little sceptical when I first unwrapped these LED nightlights because they are small and slim (4.5″x1.75″x1″). However, that old saying “good stuff comes in little parcels” is certainly true of these – they are really good for localised illumination at night. If you don’t fancy drilling holes, the units come with a strip of strong, double-sided tape. You need to insert 4 AAA batteries into each unit, but as they only light up when they sense movement and remain on for only 20 seconds, they use very little energy.

The soft light emitted is ideal for checking on baby or youngsters at night without flooding the bedroom with glare.
The pull-down cord light switch in our bathroom makes quite a noise when switched on and it often wakes me up. Using the loo without a light in the dark is not an option for a half-asleep young lad or his father for that matter! We taped one of the units to the tiles at the side of our upstairs toilet about 3 feet higher than the seat. The light shines downwards and illuminates around ten feet in a soft glow. As is it remains lit for 20 seconds after movement has been detected, there’s enough light to cross the landing back to the bed.

One small downside is that in order to replace the batteries, the tape would have to be removed. However, with only nocturnal and intermittent use, the batteries should last a long time. The tape can be easily replaced anyway – and should not detract from these excellent little lights.

When I first looked at these I thought, Cheapo Cheapo Productions. But they are actually quite neat after all.

I have one in the hallway and one on the landing. Pity they each use four batteries. But for the price they are very good value.

Fitting them is a breeze and the lights come on for a while to assure you that all is well.

There isn’t anything that I can add to the other reviews. They are discreet and you can put them in places other lights won’t go. Once installed they blend into their location and become unobvious until needed.

    Highly recommended.

This is a quite handy little motion activated light. Discrete and works well.
I have one placed in the back of a bureau and when you open it the light comes on so you can see the back of the bureau, you can leave the bureau open and the light goes off if nothing is detected, they seem sensitive enough on that count.
The other is in my shed at the end of the garden a quick trip at night to the end of the garden and just about enough light to see what you want. Very happy with the product though they don’t come with the AAA batteries that are required. For the record each unit uses four.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese are smaller than I envisaged, just 11.4 x 4.8 x 2.5cm; they come complete with sticky pads and screws for fixing but no batteries, they take 4 x AAA batteries each. It was difficult to get the batteries in as the battery channel gripped the batteries very tightly, in fact so tightly that the pip of the battery didn’t make electrical contact until the batteries were pushed up in the channel. I fitted the batteries in daylight and there is no indication that the light is working, so I had to put them in a drawer to check.
They do work well. The LED points downwards so it doesn’t shine in your face; they also don’t suffer from spurious operation during daylight or when the sky is overcast. The LED is bright enough to light a hallway, for example.
A good product once the batteries are fitted correctly.

An excellent little device which is surprisingly effective belying its size.
Battery operated but motion sensitive so not on all of the time so should conserve the battery.
Brilliant to use for dark corners , as night or “in wardrobe” or cupboard lights and also useful for travel as sometimes holiday apartments and hotel rooms can be dangerous at night and you don’t want to put on a full light for trips to the loo or to soothe the children.
    Thumbs up !!

These little motion sensitive lights use 4 AAA batteries each, and can be simply fixed using the included sticky pads or screws exactly where you want them. I’ve popped them in the bathrooms for midnight forays to the loo. They only activate in the dark – which is pretty clever – and the light they provide is more than sufficient. Not the most aesthetically pleasing things, but do the job well. Recommended.

The actual light is a tiny little LED under the top “lip” of the device, shining down. It doesn’t look like it should provide any useful level of light – but it does.

I have one of these over the stairs, and one in the bathroom; sometimes our annoying cat decides she needs to go out in the middle of the night and I need to nip down to let her out (oh to have space for a cat flap) – the light over the stairs provides plenty of illumination to see the stairs safely, without being bright enough to wake me up excessively. The same for the bathroom – if a night-time bathroom break is required, it provides enough light to see by without being too bright. The one over the stairs is using the supplied sticky pad – so far, it’s stayed up – and the one in the bathroom is just sitting on top of the bathroom unit. (So, you could easily pick it up and take it with you on holiday to provide light in unfamiliar hotel bathrooms without putting on the main lights etc, too.)

There’s no way to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, light-on duration or the darkness threshold at which they’ll work, which is a shame. That said, though, the default settings seem reasonable, and they are quite sensitive – the one I’ve fitted over the stairs is above the stairs, near the bottom, and switches on just as you round the corner of the landing at the top of the stairs, which is ideal.

Too early to comment on battery life, but with each unit taking 4xAAA batteries I’d expect them to last quite a while before needing changing. I’ll update my review when I need to change them.

Construction quality was reasonable, but not brilliant; in particular, the battery bay seems slightly too small, so the batteries were very stiff to get in.

I have been looking for a small light to illuminate my under-stairs cupboard for some time now when I came across these little beauties. Measuring only 1150w x 47h x 25d and manufactured from white ABS plastic the lights incorporate a PIR sensor and small but high intensity LED white light. They are powered by 4 ‘AA’ batteries which are accessed by sliding down the front cover. The lights can be secured by 2 fixing screws or by self adhesive strip, bot of which are supplied, or, as in my case, by the ubiquitous blu-tak.
The lights come on, only in darkness, when any movement is sensed and, unlike some lamps whose switch off period is timed from when the lamp switches on, turns off approx. 30 seconds after any motion has ceased. Battery life is as yet unknown but should be reasonable as the LED’s do not consume much current.
The lights are supplied in packs of 2 so the other unit may get pressed into service in my garden shed although it should be noted that the units cannot be used outside.
Good solution to a problem I had and good value for money.

These are great little lights and have worked a treat for us.
We leave one on the landing and one in bathroom. They are perfect for my three year olds nighttime toilet trips. They provide just enough light for him to see what he’s doing and not be too afraid of the dark.
It saves putting on the lights and often disturbing my one year old!
Brilliant – will use these for several years I expect.

I was not sure when I opened these, they were a lot smaller than I had assumed they would be and to be honest looked slightly cheap and flimsy. However when they are installed (4 x aaa batteries per unit that are not included) they work really well and because of their small size they are fairly unobtrusive wherever they are put. I have put them near my children’s bedrooms for when they get up in the night and cannot see and they work very well. They are also very portable (Unless you have screwed them to the wall with the supplied screws) so yuou could use them if you travel away on holiday in things like caravans etc. In short not the best looking devices in the world, but don’t let that fool you they work well.

Very useful motion-sensing lights. These only come on when it is dark and when they sense movement close to them. They are, therefore, unlike the usual night lights which come on when it is dark and stay on continuously until it is light again. This means that, hopefully, the bulb will last a very long time. LED bulbs are known to be very long lasting so I am hoping this is the case with these. Each light requires 4 AAA batteries which is obviously quite expensive. Again, because the lights only come on very briefly, I am hoping that the batteries will last for a long time. I have put both lights in my hall. The hall is L-shaped and I have put a light at each end, about a foot or so above the skirting board. One light comes on when you open the front door and the other when you come out of any of the bedrooms. This is very handy if you come in after dark or if you get up during the night to go to the loo. They are very easy to instal. There is an adhesive pad on the back and you simply stick the light to the wall, wherever you require it. Make sure you have chosen the right spot as once it is in place it will be hard to remove it to shift it elsewhere. I live in the Highlands of Scotland and we are prone to the occasional power cut so, being battery operated, these little lights will be quite handy. Altogether a good buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was a bit sceptical about these when I first received them, thinking that as soon as the sun sets and the artificial lights are switched on that these would be going off all the time. However I was pleasantly surprised how well these worked! Indeed they only came on when it was dark and was quite sensitive to movement within the vicinity of several feet. I have these in the hallway and other places where light switches are not easily reached. The light gives a white glow and lights up the surroundings quite well. The light stays on for approximately a minute before timing out as soon as movement has stopped. As they’re LED hopefully the batteries will last a long time. The pack provides foam adhesives and screws for fixing them onto walls etc. They’re small and lightweight and can be easily hidden away in less noticeable places. The only downside I can really give is that the battery compartment is a little hard to open. You have to get your nails into the opening to slide the back off, but other than that they’re become an essential household item for awkward dark places.

Each of the 2 Mr Beams lights takes 4xAAA batteries not supplied. This, combined with the slightly cheap feel of the product loses what is otherwise a great product the 1 star.

These lights make great landing lights to show you the way in the middle of the night, perfect for small children. The dome at the front is the sensor, turning the LED lights on for 30s when motion is detected after dark. The light is sufficient to light your way but not much more.

The tape supplied is good for fixing them to the skirting board.

A nice product, recommended for homes with young children.

These are good little sensor lights that are perfect for dark cupboards or to use as night lights.

I have put one in my cupboard under the stairs – where I can never usually find anything in the dark, the other one I’ve put in my daughters bedroom for when she gets up to use the toilet. There are two screw holes so that can fix them to a wall. They take four AAA batteries (the very slim ones).

I have deducted a star because they are not very attractive. The plastic is a bit cheap looking. I did initially want to put them in my bathroom but they are really not nice enough to have on show!

The Mr.Beams mini motion sensing lights provide a portable solution for dark corners, cupboards, and hallways. They are quite small, 11 x 5 cm and are provided with small screws or tape for a permanent fix, or they will happily stand horizontally or vertically.

They take 4 x AAA batteries, and the LED light although small, gives off enough light at night. As they only come on at night, batteries should last for ages, or you can always use rechargeables.

Motion is detected from about 10 feet away, and the light will come on if motion is detected. from my tests, if there is no motion, the light will go off after about 20 seconds.

Small enough to take on holiday to navigate around unfamiliar bathrooms and enough light to see by, but not too much to wake you up fully.

These are handy, effective gadgets for lighting difficult areas. A case in point is the porch of my house which is dark, being shielded from the street lamps. Running a mains cable here would be a major pain involving getting floorboards up and re-plastering, but we still needed a light so you can see to get your key in the lock etc.The electronic switch works very effectively, it doesn’t activate during the day, it doesn’t falsely activate and it always comes on when you are about 6 feet away, remaining on for long enough to (in my case) get in and out of the house comfortably.

These lamps provided a great solution. they stick/screw onto the wall (the sticky tape is quite enough in practice as they weigh very little). Since they are LED powered and come on intermittently the batteries last for ages (i haven’t change the batts on mine which has now been there for maybe 18 months). And they are bright enough for the job. That is to say you can see enough to find your keys, see the lock and that sort of thing. they are not like a “proper” light. This review is mainly based on a predecessor model. I got these as i thought that having 2, one either side of the doorway would give me more light and work that bit better – as indeed they do.

I’ve got a few other Mr Beams products around the house and have found them to be well designed and useful. This set of two mini motion-sensing LED night-lights is up to standard and work better than I expected, and at Amazon’s current price they work out at less than a tenner each. Although it doesn’t say they are for indoor use only I don’t think they would be weather proof enough to use outside. I have a couple of Mr Beams outdoor spotlights and they are much more robust than these units.

The dome on the front of the light is the motion sensor not the bulb — the LED itself is tiny and is under the overhang at the top. Rated at 15 Lumens the lamps take 4 AAA batteries, which are not provided, and are bright enough to just see by when there is no other light. The lights can be wall mounted – using the provided double-sided tape or screws – or more easily just be stood where they are needed. These lights are ideal for hallways and landings, or a child’s bedroom, and work as they should after dark. Small and practical these are a good addition to my collection of Mr Beams products and recommended to anyone needing a small battery-powered night-light with the motion sensing feature.

This came in handy for a specific issue. Our bathroom light activates a fan that runs for at least ten minutes after the light is switched off. This small Led device senses anyone approaching the cistern, and activates enough light to be able to use the facilities, without having to resort to the fan-activating main light. As it only comes on when it’s dark, and senses motion, it makes more sense than a permanent or switchable light.
I fitted it to the tiles above the low-flush cistern with the sticky pad supplied, as I didn’t want to drill. It’s holding well so far, and if it does become unstuck, it’s easy to get sticky pads anywhere.
There is no assembly required, and inserting the four AAA batteries is easy too. It is only thin plastic, but any other material would mean added weight, so that’s not a problem. I’m now scouting around the house for somewhere to use the second one!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is a neat and efficient gadget. At first I was disapppointed by its small size, expecting a poor light; but it’s quite bright enough, I simply put it on a landing windowsill, rather than sticking or screwing it anywhere, and it illuminated the landing well enough – and quickly enough – to make a nocturnal visit to the bathroom quite safe without having to endure the 150w mains lighting at 3am… Ideal, I would have said for eaves or understairs cupboard without mains lighting. Sadly, it’s not weatherproof so can’t be used outside, but the same firm also makes a weatherproof version.
Unfortunately, it’s not as elderly-person-friendly as it might be, because stiff old hands have difficulty removing the battery cover (it’s not impossible, at least for me, just difficult). This is because there isn’t enough purchase for gripping the cover to compensate for a weak grip. I also found the batteries hard to push in. Construction is very basic, and I’d have said that 20, even for two, is a bit on the high side; I would certainly have looked around more widely before paying this currently advertised price.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersIn the box you get two mini LED Night Lights. To give you an idea of size, each light is roughly the same size as a pack of 10 cigarettes (I know no one smokes anymore, but to me it’s still an obvious size comparison). Each light takes 4x AAA batteries which are not included. The LED lights though tiny are surprisingly bright, especially in a dark hallway at night. In our wonky Victorian house, the whole family have found them really useful. Supplied with each light is a set of mounting screws and a self-adhesive pad. I also found that they could be easily rested on the top of a door frame. The motion sensor is very responsive, “spotting” you from up to 10 feet away. When you have been spotted by the sensor, the light will stay on for approx. 30 seconds before switching off again.

These are excellent little, unobtrusive lights which must have a million uses. They are motion-sensing and only come on when it is dark. They would be useful in sheds, under-stairs cupboards, or any where that needs an extra light.

I have put one in my bathroom and one in the corridor leading there to. This means that if I have guests, or indeed need the facilitates in the middle of the night, there is no groping for light switches, falling over discarded detritus, and no ultra bright light to fully wake me and ensure no more sleep for hours. The units are small enough to be almost unnoticeable in daylight but, give sufficient light to find one’s way over short distances at night.

I can see that I shall be buying more for a thousand other uses soon.

I’ve been looking for a product of this type for a while now, I’d got some cheap ones off ebay and was disappointed with the performance of the product so I was pleased to be offered the chance to review these.

I have a few health problems and often stumble when walking especially at the end of a day, but I’m a very eco conscious person and I don’t like using to turn lights on constantly so these are perfect.

You supply your own batteries but that gives you the chance to invest in good ones, I usually use rechargeable ones for long term value. They come on when they sense movement so it’s a real energy saver. Very pleased with them and it’s definitly worth buying the better product for long term value

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese handy little nightlights are for indoor use only because they are not waterproof. They take 4 AAA batteries which are not included. These have a plastic construction and are made in China. The light gives quite a bright nightlight at 15 lumens. They comes on as anyone passes in front of them. They are not too hard on the batteries because they doesn’t come on at all in daylight: only when light is low or when it’s dark. And they stay on for 30 seconds. They are fitted with LED bulbs. LED bulbs pretty much last forever, so I hear.

There is a fixing plate on the back so that you simply detach the light from the plate when you need to change the batteries. There is some double sided tape provided but, with the batteries fitted, it’s a bit weighty for tape, so I’ve opted for the screw fixings.

I find these useful in my conservatory where I have no electric lighting. If I need to go out there in the dusk or after the dark, I can see what I’m doing. The other thing they are useful for is fitting into a big dark cupboard so that when you open the cupboard doors, you can see what’s in there. While not that aesthetically pleasing, these lights do an efficient job.

These are neat little units that come in a pair and are battery operated [not included]. There’s a simple fixing back plate to put on the wall that the main light fitting clips into forming one whole unit . The actual light is good, nice and clear without being too bright. Handy for all sorts of applications such as landings when you want to go to the loo at night without turning all the lights on and of course they can illuminate the top of stairs, particularly useful if you have kids. All with the advantage that they can be very quickly installed and easily moved around as you wish.. Good little product.

This pair of products comes packed in a super slim cardboard box, very compact in size. This twin pack of LED nightlights are simple in construction, the back sliding off in what seems the wrong way, to load 4 AAA alkaline batteries (each unit, not supplied). When it is dark, movement will result in the switching on of an LED which will give a low level background illumination, enough to light a walkway.
The plus.is that there are no wires, no need for electrical connection. This makes installation simple and free of the potential cost of hiring an electrician.
    In addition, they do work!
The negative is the need for batteries to be replaced, but you can’t have it both ways. As I have only just got these products I can’t say much about battery.life, but LED’s are low energy consumption, so I guess you may get 6 months or so.
Overall, these nightlights will be a boon in a house with small children, especially around a landing with a step, where health and safety needs to be considered. It is worth noting that these are a modest price and yet they scratch a number of itches.
Good value, modest construction, but to be fair this is reflected in a strong price offering.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are great little night lights.

When you put the batteries in they come on for about 30 seconds before turning off so that you can check they are working.

We have one in the landing and one in the bathroom and they should save some electricity as the bathroom fan comes on with the light normally. With this once dusk hits it will come on when you move, staying on initially for 30 seconds, then if you move your arm to say ‘I’m still here’ another 10 seconds at a time.

The light is not enough to read a book, but is enough to ensure you can see where you are going. It is quite a cool white light. Just right for when your eyes are not awake & you don’t want to be blinded.

They do look a tad cheap hence the lost star. But they work well.

I have stuck them up with the supplied tape for now. But if they make a significant improvement in our bills I will screw them in place.
