it’s real and seems set to be very long lasting and looks perfect in my home office
I have been looking at office chairs for my home office for over an year. I had bought cheap one on amazon but anything over a couple of hours gave me backache.
This if fully ergonomic, arm height and width is adjustable, back and seat can be individually tilted and locked in situ. Lumbar support is spot on for me ( i am 5’10)
It appears to be real leather.
Only disappointment is that it sits on a plastic base rather than steel but appears very solid. Wide base helps you feel grounded. Wheels dont work well on carpet but this is expected of a heavy chair with a heavy body sitting on it.
I got a bargain of amazon warehouse but wouldn’t begrudge paying full price if i were to.
Its very heavy and solid but also comfortable and supportive. It took some time to get it as the first one went missing. Its also very adjustable so you can change to suite your own preference and I imagine it will last a long time as the build is solid.
A proper office chair, very well made and lots of adjustments
I didn’t expect to have a chair that feels so supportive and comfortable that you have to assemble yourself. I really thought the top end chairs costing 700+ would be amazing (and I’ve used them in other peoples home offices and they are), but this despite the relatively high price for just a chair was well worth it.
It was easy to assemble, came quickly and fits together smoothly.
The comfort though is out of this world. You get the usual vertical adjustment, tilt of the back and vertical movement of the back. You also get the usual adjustments for the angle of the seat – and use these please because the angle you sit at makes a huge difference to whether you are stable, or sliding off the seat all day. It also has adjustable height arm-rests which are crucial for resting your forearms for long period onto your desk to say type or mouse. The armrests also adjust outwards or inwards – which depends on your build and is equally important. The biggest benefit for me was the lumbar support area, it supports your back snuggly and helps you get through the day without a twinge at the end of it. The castors are wide and don’t leave deep imprints in my carpet, and move across it easily.
Do your posture and back a favour and spend a little more to feel great every time you rise and sit, and for the evening after you finish work.
Its also true the fabric of the seat will show up dust and random floating hair, but it give it a spruce up every few days so it looks new and you will feel great and look professional.
Good value and is actually comfortable without excessive lumbar support which gives me a bad back.
I’ve had many orthopaedic ergonomic chairs supplied in work offices, but this one I bought for my home office beats all others for comfort. Most definitely made for tall people, and for anyone with orthopaedic problems.
Great padding on the seat and back rest.
Great adjustability of all parts.
Great seat depth and height.
Great seat width.
Great arm rest height adjustment, and shaping of arm rest pads.
I would add only one functional to my wish-list and that is the arm rest pads could swivel in and out, and move forwards and backwards, but that is being picky.
One of my best purchases of 2020, so glad I paid the “Covid premium” because if I’d waited another week they were sold out of the leather variant. Six months after purchasing, it’s still going strong. Recommended.
Disliked the seat because it was contoured and not flat, making it slightly uncomfortable for me.
Having owned numerous “gaming” chairs and random office chairs, this is the one.
Very comfortable there is plenty of padding on the seat and back rest. Arm rests are comfortable too with a soft sturdy plastic material.
The chair is heavy duty, all the parts that come with it were heavy this is built to last. No noises, squeaks or creaks you can rock/tilt this chair all day in silence. The back rest can be slid up and down, reclined back independent of the tilt. Tilt function can be locked in place and plenty of functionality. I’ve sat in office chairs worth 1000+ and this trumps the lot.
Everything worked as described with plenty of adjustable parts. Straight-forward to assemble, although a bit fiddly with the hex key tool that came with it. I used my own screwdriver with a hex bit, which made it easier. It took a bit of time to figure out all the lever and knob settings and what each did. The instructions aren’t perfectly clear, but read it a few times and play with the chair at the same time, and you should be able to figure it out eventually. The back rest is just high enough for me to rest my head as well but I’m not very tall at around 5’6″. It may not be high enough to rest your head if you’re much taller, but depends if you need this. It does tilt and rock backwards with tension control, but my only small grudge is that the tilting backwards is still a bit too strong even when the tension is turned to the lowest. The seat and back padding are fairly thick and comfortable. Hope they do last a long time.
I’ve had this office chair for around a couple month now and so far I’ve enjoyed it , although it does become fatiguing to your Lower back region but so do most office chairs when sat in After a long gaming session.
Really please with the overall build quality and adjustability you get with it.

I bought the chair to replace ordinary chairs I had been using to work from home since the start of lockdown. Although cheaper chairs are available, I wanted an “office quality” adjustable chair designed for use for a full working day. Assembling the chair was straight forward. Once assembled, it has proved to be very good. Comfort continues to improve as the seat and I grow closer. It is a shame that they are only available in blue.
Perfect desk chair. Up down / seat tilt / back tilt / lock or free tilt / back up and down. All the stuff except lumbar adjust, but the chair bark does go up and down to suit. Arms a bit rudimentary but adjust up and down. Leather and cushioning is great. Wish I would have bought this desk chair first for home office rather than the 70 cheapie – false economy
This is a very solid and sturdy chair. The only design flaw and it is a comfort issue is that there is a seam connecting 2 pieces of leather on the seat, right under where your butt sits. This can be seen in the product picture. Get rid of this seam and you have a 5 star chair, because the leather is quality. Having said that, this chair will last for years and I am on the whole very pleased with the product.
After working from home during this entire period, the effects of the lack of a proper chair had started to materialise. I use a proper full on computer task chair in my normal workplace and this isn’t as good, but for the money I think its great.
Its pretty sturdily constructed from decent materials (loving the leather) and although the tilt mechanism isn’t the best, its perfectly adequate. The back, as noted by others is fairly low but on me reaches my shoulders and so present no problems. The seat area is generous and there’s plenty of support under my thighs.
The box is heavy and fairly bulky and you may need someone to help with fitting the chair to the post.

The chair arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date, which was a nice surprise. It was a little tricky to put together, but I managed it in around 20 minutes. It’s comfortable and does the job I need it to do.
Although I actually ended up with the blue one not the black on the chair is very comfortable and eminently suitable for the larger person.
Only issues were
one of the items on the instructions looks nothing like what it actually was so took some careful study – item 7 if you buy it is tiny compared to the picture
The position of one of the seat screws makes it almost impossible to screw in with the tool provided – I just found a smaller device of the same size and sorted that
Overall though instructions were good and assembly was quite easy to follow.
Chair is excellent and very sturdy comfortable and has many adjustable settings

Contrary to some of the comments, the back does move up – you just need to be gentle and it’s easy.
Simple and well padded. Comfortable. Only things I don’t like so much is that despite being the size for a hippo, the arms come in which makes it narrower than it need be. Also seat is shallower from front to back than expected.
i ordered a chair with the “office hippo” brand. the chair arrived with a different name on it but it was in fact identical on opening. assembly is a two person job really – it’s hard work and the metal parts are far heavier than other office chairs you may have assembled – all of which is a good thing…once assembled!
it’s all allen key assembly and those keys were included in the package and the instructions to assemble were fairly straight forward.
in use – i have had it 3 days now and use my office chair for 12 to 16 hours a day. i’m a bigger than average guy (he says, being polite) and this takes my extra weight with ease, and remains comfortable for the full day and supports my back in use. and it feels the least flimsy of any office chair i have ever used.
the delivery came early – someone needs to be in to sign for it, even flat packed the box is heavy – if i have a criticism (hence 4 stars) it could have some of the stuff pre assembled, which would make it a lot easier to assemble as one person.
Just put it together, it’s a really sturdy comfortable chair!

Lovely comfortable chair, even for me at 6’7″. Easy to assemble, although some of the parts are bulky and heavish. All round excellent buy and value for money.
Best chair I have ever owned extremly comfotable. Very adjustable with the arms able to extened outwards and up and down to suit your prefered position. The back of the chair can also be adjusted up and down it also has a tilt function to the back rest. 🙂
Had for a week now good so far the armrest are slightly wobbly and the instructions were not very clear.
I ordered this chair two days ago, it arrived today and although the contents were complete (as far as I know) there where no instructions of how to put the chair together or a user manual supplied in the box!!!. This made the assembly much more difficult, however some helpful guy had made a video on YouTube called “TC Marathon CH1105 Heavy Duty Leather Office Chair – assemble video” which was a great help, or I really would have taken much longer to build the chair.
I’m 6’2″ and 21 stone and in comparison to the chair I just broke (after 8 years of good service) its more comfortable and I find it even more adaptable if I can ever get a handle on all the levers. The arm rest are adjustable up and down, in and out and the seat back is on a ratchet mechanism allowing up and down adjustment, all in all a great chair. TC Group just need to include a simple manual for putting the chair together and how to operate it. Great Buy!
P.S. Yodel are by far the worst delivery company Amazon UK use, simply basic and disappointing.
There are four control levers on the underside of the seat… study them carefully and you will be in chair comfort heaven. My wife is very pleased as the chair looks perfect in the office and is very very comfortable to sit on… one cautionary note the wheels are very free-wheeling so if you have a wooden floor be prepared for speedy moves!
