I use this chair to work from home. Gone are the days of the old dinning room chair and here are the days to sit in comfort and forget about being uncomfortable.

I have been looking at office chairs for my home office for over an year. I had bought cheap one on amazon but anything over a couple of hours gave me backache.
This if fully ergonomic, arm height and width is adjustable, back and seat can be individually tilted and locked in situ. Lumbar support is spot on for me ( i am 5’10)
It appears to be real leather.
Only disappointment is that it sits on a plastic base rather than steel but appears very solid. Wide base helps you feel grounded. Wheels dont work well on carpet but this is expected of a heavy chair with a heavy body sitting on it.
I got a bargain of amazon warehouse but wouldn’t begrudge paying full price if i were to.
Good solid chai
Its very heavy and solid but also comfortable and supportive. It took some time to get it as the first one went missing. Its also very adjustable so you can change to suite your own preference and I imagine it will last a long time as the build is solid.

After having to return 3 other amazon “ergonomic chairs” between 150 and 250 with all sorts of adjustments/headrests etc, gotta say, this is the one. Neither other chair allows you to lock exactly where you want the tilt, you can tilt the seat/back individually and lock.
some other chairs are either dead straight and then the next click is reclining back. this chair I can do a very slight tilt so I’m not slipping down the seat, lock, adjust back tilt and height separately, and so on.
If you’re between this and the mfavour, Duwinson, etc. dont think twice, get this one.

I’m 1.8m tall and 100kg this is very comfortable chair for me. And even after 12-16 hours gaming session it still feels comfortable thanks to very thick seating. The assembly wasn’t as easy as I would expect but eventually I managed to put all things together.
So supportive
I didn’t expect to have a chair that feels so supportive and comfortable that you have to assemble yourself. I really thought the top end chairs costing 700+ would be amazing (and I’ve used them in other peoples home offices and they are), but this despite the relatively high price for just a chair was well worth it.
It was easy to assemble, came quickly and fits together smoothly.
The comfort though is out of this world. You get the usual vertical adjustment, tilt of the back and vertical movement of the back. You also get the usual adjustments for the angle of the seat – and use these please because the angle you sit at makes a huge difference to whether you are stable, or sliding off the seat all day. It also has adjustable height arm-rests which are crucial for resting your forearms for long period onto your desk to say type or mouse. The armrests also adjust outwards or inwards – which depends on your build and is equally important. The biggest benefit for me was the lumbar support area, it supports your back snuggly and helps you get through the day without a twinge at the end of it. The castors are wide and don’t leave deep imprints in my carpet, and move across it easily.
Do your posture and back a favour and spend a little more to feel great every time you rise and sit, and for the evening after you finish work.
Its also true the fabric of the seat will show up dust and random floating hair, but it give it a spruce up every few days so it looks new and you will feel great and look professional.

Best Ergo Chai
I’ve had many orthopaedic ergonomic chairs supplied in work offices, but this one I bought for my home office beats all others for comfort. Most definitely made for tall people, and for anyone with orthopaedic problems.
Great padding on the seat and back rest.
Great adjustability of all parts.
Great seat depth and height.
Great seat width.
Great arm rest height adjustment, and shaping of arm rest pads.
I would add only one functional to my wish-list and that is the arm rest pads could swivel in and out, and move forwards and backwards, but that is being picky.
It's heavy!
OK, this is a ‘first impressions’ review because I have just finished assembling it and am now sitting in it to write this review.
The first thing I would point out is that IT’S VERY HEAVY. I’m a pretty average guy but I found this quite a struggle – two people would be better. It took me about an hour to put together I guess.
As others have pointed out the flame retardent on the cloth is quite smelly – I actually put the seat and back in an airy place for a couple of days to get some of the smell out.
First impressions for comfort – good. I like the high back which is an improvement on my previous chair. It feels very sturdy (so it should) so…so far, so good.
Very comfy
Very comfy and sturdy for long periods of usage. Quite hard to assemble, especially if you are not mechanically inclined. The only issue I have is the back high does not go high enough. Is also doesn’t hold it position that great.
Very sturdy chair, well made
One of my best purchases of 2020, so glad I paid the “Covid premium” because if I’d waited another week they were sold out of the leather variant. Six months after purchasing, it’s still going strong. Recommended.
I’m really pleased with the chair, it only took around 20 minutes to assemble and is very comfortable and supportive (as well as being very adjustable).
The fabric feels thick and you don’t slide around like on a leather chair.
I’ve been suffering from a bad back and this chair has definitely helped improve my posture.
Sturdy chai
Disliked the seat because it was contoured and not flat, making it slightly uncomfortable for me.
This is a proper chair. No gimmicks.
Having looked everywhere for something that seems decent under 200quid. This seemed like a “safe” choice to me. With all these fancy looking ergo Chinese brand chairs floating about it seems really easy to pay over the odds. Especially with lockdown and working from home increaseing demand.
Delivered two days early I was very surprised that it took be about 30 mins to put together as I was expecting it to take much longer. Also the mechanism that goes on the bottom of the seat is clearly very well made as it’s very heavy. This is a real office chair. Designed to be sat in all day long. It’s mega adjustable, with the seat moving separately from the back rest. It all locks nicely in place and feels solid as a rock.
It looks the part and I must say it’s much, much more comfortable than my old crappy racing style “gamer” chair. So far so good.
My only issue with it so far is that it smells a bit (due to the flame retardant I’m guessing?) But hopefully that will soon fade.
All together I’m very pleased.

Best chair I've owned
Having owned numerous “gaming” chairs and random office chairs, this is the one.
Very comfortable there is plenty of padding on the seat and back rest. Arm rests are comfortable too with a soft sturdy plastic material.
The chair is heavy duty, all the parts that come with it were heavy this is built to last. No noises, squeaks or creaks you can rock/tilt this chair all day in silence. The back rest can be slid up and down, reclined back independent of the tilt. Tilt function can be locked in place and plenty of functionality. I’ve sat in office chairs worth 1000+ and this trumps the lot.
Good chair with good features
Everything worked as described with plenty of adjustable parts. Straight-forward to assemble, although a bit fiddly with the hex key tool that came with it. I used my own screwdriver with a hex bit, which made it easier. It took a bit of time to figure out all the lever and knob settings and what each did. The instructions aren’t perfectly clear, but read it a few times and play with the chair at the same time, and you should be able to figure it out eventually. The back rest is just high enough for me to rest my head as well but I’m not very tall at around 5’6″. It may not be high enough to rest your head if you’re much taller, but depends if you need this. It does tilt and rock backwards with tension control, but my only small grudge is that the tilting backwards is still a bit too strong even when the tension is turned to the lowest. The seat and back padding are fairly thick and comfortable. Hope they do last a long time.
I have had this office chair for 7 months now it is so sturdy no clicks creeks or knocking. I really like that I can adjust this chair in multiple ways I suffer with my back sometimes so adjusting it to suit my day is handy. the back and seat pad are still like new still no sag in padding I use this chair 6 hrs a day 5-6 days a week, I only have one tiny issue with this chair and that is the fabric that covers it, it’s rough which in turn makes it tough but anything fluffy or furry sticks to it like mad. to bypass this issue I bought a arm chair throw which isn’t a bad thing as the chair its self is more protected. my son love to spin himself in my chair I don’t recommend this but the chair is so well weighted it doesn’t tilt at all.

I’ve been through many chairs, and it is tricky to find the right one, it stresses me out no end trying to find the right seating for the right price online, and i think i’ve hit it lucky this time, the seating is sturdy, soft and comfy, the adjustability is great, putting it together took all of 15 mins, i’ve never seen such a simple method, i thought half the screws were missing, turns out you hardly need any, they were all there, it virtually put itself together.
Oon some chairs the arm rests don’t travel inward enough, the minimum setting on many chairs is too wide for me, and flayed elbows when working with keybaord and mouse cause rotator cuff swelling, the minimum setting on this chair is perfect holding my arms right at the sides where they should be.
A great quality chair for the price range, i’ve seen very very similar selling for nearly 100 more, so this one makes me happy because of the price, it’s a great deal, you won’t be disappointed i’m sure.
A proper home office 24 hour chair.
Use it everyday, home office, hours upon hours. Great, sturdy, comfortable chair. I am sure the fabric is designed for longevity, but it is coarse, only down side on otherwise great chair .

I’ve had this office chair for around a couple month now and so far I’ve enjoyed it , although it does become fatiguing to your Lower back region but so do most office chairs when sat in After a long gaming session.

I bought the chair to replace ordinary chairs I had been using to work from home since the start of lockdown. Although cheaper chairs are available, I wanted an “office quality” adjustable chair designed for use for a full working day. Assembling the chair was straight forward. Once assembled, it has proved to be very good. Comfort continues to improve as the seat and I grow closer. It is a shame that they are only available in blue.
Don’t buy cheap - Buy this
Perfect desk chair. Up down / seat tilt / back tilt / lock or free tilt / back up and down. All the stuff except lumbar adjust, but the chair bark does go up and down to suit. Arms a bit rudimentary but adjust up and down. Leather and cushioning is great. Wish I would have bought this desk chair first for home office rather than the 70 cheapie – false economy
This chair is fantastic. Very easy to construct. How instructions are clear and concise. Try to build it in the room you’re going to use it in, it’s very heavy!
There are lots of seat and back options. The seat tilts forward and back and the back can be adjusted up and down, as well as reclining and more upright. There are lots of variations in between. The arms are adjustable too. It’s easy to take them off altogether if you decide you don’t want them.
After about a week of using the chair I posted a question….I could not get the seat to stay in the tilted position I had chosen. Every time I leant forward the seat tilted forward. It turns out there are two bolts under the seat which just needed tightening and the issue is fixed.
This is a great chair. I would highly recommend it.

Nice sturdy chair delivered early. Comes in parts, well packed and with reasonably clear instructions and allen key tool. Heavy components so build in situ and take time to set it up correctly. Expect to get lightly oiled hands from it during assembly. Still need to work out how to raise the back of the chair but otherwise good first impressions.
40 mins later I’ve got a working ratchet back. Top tips: 1. Test the ratchet mechanism is working correctly before fitting the seat back to the chair 2. The design of the internal ratchet requires a pin to fall into to the ratchet grooves. The ratchet pin on my chair was sticking so not falling into the ratchet grooves. A light squirt of WD40 lubricant on the ratchet pin link solved my problem. 3. Test the ratchet along the full range of movement before bolting the seat back onto the chair. You should be able to feel/hear the ratchet pin fall into place. 4. Bolt the seat back onto the chair. 5. Test the ratchet mechanism by standing behind the seat and raising the seat back slowly. Listen for the ratchet pin clicking into place. 6. Finally, if its still sticking – repeat point 5 whilst tilting the chair to the right (assuming the ratchet mechanisms are a standard design, the ratchet grooves are on the RHS of the mechanism).
There is one design flaw with this chair which knocks off a star.
This is a very solid and sturdy chair. The only design flaw and it is a comfort issue is that there is a seam connecting 2 pieces of leather on the seat, right under where your butt sits. This can be seen in the product picture. Get rid of this seam and you have a 5 star chair, because the leather is quality. Having said that, this chair will last for years and I am on the whole very pleased with the product.
Pretty good value for money
After working from home during this entire period, the effects of the lack of a proper chair had started to materialise. I use a proper full on computer task chair in my normal workplace and this isn’t as good, but for the money I think its great.
Its pretty sturdily constructed from decent materials (loving the leather) and although the tilt mechanism isn’t the best, its perfectly adequate. The back, as noted by others is fairly low but on me reaches my shoulders and so present no problems. The seat area is generous and there’s plenty of support under my thighs.
The box is heavy and fairly bulky and you may need someone to help with fitting the chair to the post.
I wish Id bought this weeks ago. To be updated after a bit of use.

I’m impressed. I have been sat on sofa working from home for weeks. The back ache us ridiculous. I was expecting it to be less sturdy than pic appeared but it’s better. I weigh 17stone, 5,5 and 50in waist. The cushioning will not crush with my weight and the armrest have plenty space for my width. I am very happy. it was but awkward and heavy to put the back on before I manoeuvred the seat on the legs so I left that until last. I put chair together carefully in about 45 mins and im a not exactly strong but coped moving heavy bits carefully on the plastic.
A very comfortable Chai
After trawling through endless choices of office chairs I found this one. I wanted something comfortable, easy to use and adaptable. It ticks all the boxes. It’s not pretty in any way especially looking at the arms but it is nice to sit in. The back goes up to the top of your shoulders (I’m 6ft)so if you want to rest your head, this isn’t the chair for you. I didn’t find this a problem after long periods by the PC because there are lots of options on the mechanism to suit you. The arms are a softer rubber making them comfy even when on your elbows and they can easily be adjusted to fit nicely in line with your mouse. The only negatives are that there is a strong rubber smell which fades, the base had a fine orange dust on it upon delivery and the tilt forward motion is quite strong and the seat foam could be a little more dense. It would have been good to have rubber castors for the price also but they are hard plastic. Overall though I am very happy with the chair. P.s to raise the back of the chair higher simply lift it rather than look for any lever (seems to be on a ratchet).

The chair arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date, which was a nice surprise. It was a little tricky to put together, but I managed it in around 20 minutes. It’s comfortable and does the job I need it to do.

Only issues were
one of the items on the instructions looks nothing like what it actually was so took some careful study – item 7 if you buy it is tiny compared to the picture
The position of one of the seat screws makes it almost impossible to screw in with the tool provided – I just found a smaller device of the same size and sorted that

Bought this to replace a less comfortable (and older) chair. Had to get this, working from home (lockdown) requires a good comfortable chair, which the last one wasn’t really. Assembly was a bit frustrating and took about an hour for just me. The delivery box was quite damaged (thanks UPS!!) and at a few points, during assembly, I did wonder if the chair was actually a new product or an amazon warehouse product. There are a couple of scuffs here and there but they don’t show too much on a black chair. Nice thick cushioning on the chair though.

I weight about 100 kgs and I have to say that the chair feels really sturdy. The seat is wide enough and is quite comfortable. You can adjust independently the inclination of both the seat the back of the chair so it is quite comfortable. You cannot rotate the handles, but this is not a problem afterall. You can move the whole handle inwords/outwards and up/down and the top is nicely curved, so you are not missing anything. Looks like a good choice so far.
Six years now, and the chair’s still working fine, where it counts. The forward parts of the arms have split slightly (fixed with superglue), but the mechanism and leather upholstery is fine.
Of concern though, is that nowadays (February 2022) the chair is more than twice as expensive as when I bought it (and that’s for the fabric version. Mine is leather – 169.99 when I received it). I’d hate to think my glowing review updates have encouraged price gouging. I was considering getting a new one of these but, at the current price for fabric upholstery – although it’s a great chair – I’m going to hold off.

I think there’s not much point in posting a review of a product like this until it’s been thoroughly tested, so here’s my deliberately-delayed take:
I’m at the upper-end of the suggested weight range for this chair and, after two years of daily use, the upholstery (which is guaranteed for this time) is still in perfect condition, as are the mechanics.
I would recommend this chair without hesitation.
Comfortable and practical chai
Simple and well padded. Comfortable. Only things I don’t like so much is that despite being the size for a hippo, the arms come in which makes it narrower than it need be. Also seat is shallower from front to back than expected.

i ordered a chair with the “office hippo” brand. the chair arrived with a different name on it but it was in fact identical on opening. assembly is a two person job really – it’s hard work and the metal parts are far heavier than other office chairs you may have assembled – all of which is a good thing…once assembled!
it’s all allen key assembly and those keys were included in the package and the instructions to assemble were fairly straight forward.
in use – i have had it 3 days now and use my office chair for 12 to 16 hours a day. i’m a bigger than average guy (he says, being polite) and this takes my extra weight with ease, and remains comfortable for the full day and supports my back in use. and it feels the least flimsy of any office chair i have ever used.
the delivery came early – someone needs to be in to sign for it, even flat packed the box is heavy – if i have a criticism (hence 4 stars) it could have some of the stuff pre assembled, which would make it a lot easier to assemble as one person.

This is a heavy duty, well-constructed office chair. The metalwork on the underneath of the chair would not look out of place on a Challenger tank, and the whole impression is one of solidity and comfort. It is easy to get your ideal sitting position with the four under-seat levers,each of which controls a different function to tilt, recline etc. The back and seat are well-padded. Even the arms are adjustable for height. For a price of 114, this is amazing value for money
One word of caution, due to its weight, two people are need to assemble the chair.

Received this today! I ordered yesterday and got it for 114.99 which was a bargain as id seen it for most of the year at 180 or more!
Set up was fairly straightforward could have been a bit clearer.
All tools included which is nice touch.
Chair itself seems sturdy and very adjustable.. although what the very front lever D does is beyond me. Didn’t seem to do anything. First impressions are good, I will update this review over time after I’ve had chance to “bed it in”

Note to self; when delivery driver turns up late at night and holds the box in a strange way check it closely, don’t just assume it’s heavy. This is described as a leather chair, and when I enquired before I ordered as to the type of leather was told it was top cow hide. I cannot dispute this; the hide is of a very high quality and is soft and pliable. However only the facings of the chair are real leather (the great majority) with the rest being a PU material. The six adjustments for the chair mechanism work well and allow for a great deal of flexibility for finding a comfortable working position. (The tension control knob did require an enormous amount of force to release initially having been screwed so tightly at the factory). Although the chair is very heavy I found it quite straightforward to assemble following the comprehensive (pictorial and descriptive) enclosed instructions. The parts provided came with the eight screws necessary for the assembly and even the two allen wrenches required to tighten them. I have been using the chair for around eights hours a day for the last week, and have found it to be very comfortable and sturdy.Only time will tell if the padding in the seat cushion will remain supportive, but with the very good warranty provided by the retailer this is not a a major concern. Overall I can highly recommend this product which looks great and feels very solid..

Absolutely over the moon with this chair. Having recently sustained a back injury, I first ended up ordering a cheaper, far inferior “ergonomic” char. Having had to return that one, I ordered this chair as a replacement. The difference couldn’t be more apparent. This is a fantastic deal for anyone looking for a heavy duty, fully adjustable chair for long-term use. It’s also about 100=odd pounds cheaper than if you bought it elsewhere. It’s the first time I’ve sat comfortably since injuring myself. 5 stars – seriously, don’t hesitate!

I suffer with a trapped nerve in my back & find most chairs do me in after a while sitting on them. But this chair is so padded & comfortable it gives me no problems as yet. Really solid, well made chai
Really solid, well made and comfortable chair with a much better warranty than any others I have seen. Fairly easy to assemble despite limited instructions. It took me a while to understand what lever D does , but it all seems to be working fine, with back and seat tilts and seat height adjustment.

Best chair I have ever owned extremly comfotable. Very adjustable with the arms able to extened outwards and up and down to suit your prefered position. The back of the chair can also be adjusted up and down it also has a tilt function to the back rest. 🙂

Great Office Chair (for almost any size of user)
I ordered this chair two days ago, it arrived today and although the contents were complete (as far as I know) there where no instructions of how to put the chair together or a user manual supplied in the box!!!. This made the assembly much more difficult, however some helpful guy had made a video on YouTube called “TC Marathon CH1105 Heavy Duty Leather Office Chair – assemble video” which was a great help, or I really would have taken much longer to build the chair.
I’m 6’2″ and 21 stone and in comparison to the chair I just broke (after 8 years of good service) its more comfortable and I find it even more adaptable if I can ever get a handle on all the levers. The arm rest are adjustable up and down, in and out and the seat back is on a ratchet mechanism allowing up and down adjustment, all in all a great chair. TC Group just need to include a simple manual for putting the chair together and how to operate it. Great Buy!
P.S. Yodel are by far the worst delivery company Amazon UK use, simply basic and disappointing.
I have been through a few chairs over the years. They were cheap and cheerful and I was hoping they would fulfill their promise. Why didn’t I just buy this in the first place? Why did I wait all this time for such great comfort? This chair does exactly what it says on the tin.
Put together in under half an hour by the lady of the house (me!), it looks great. I cannot see what other purchasers found such trouble with? It comes with everything you need to put it together and you don’t even need any extra tools! It is however, a heavy bit of kit and I found I had to make a couple of trips just to empty the box as the individual components were weighty. Then again it has to be strong to be the workhorse it professes to be. It will make all the difference to me.
It is heavy duty. No noises. Wide. Love it. Weighs a ton.
My wife wanted a proper office chair for our home ….arrived within the agreed time frame (God bless prime!).. It does require assembly so it is a good idea to check off the parts and study the drawings of the various construction stages. There are no written guidelines but the diagrams are pretty self explanatory. Certainly worth having help when it comes to fitting the back to the base.
There are four control levers on the underside of the seat… study them carefully and you will be in chair comfort heaven. My wife is very pleased as the chair looks perfect in the office and is very very comfortable to sit on… one cautionary note the wheels are very free-wheeling so if you have a wooden floor be prepared for speedy moves!
Very comfortable chair. Spent a few weeks researching and glad I paid the money for a more expensive chair. I’m a bigger chap and this chair feels solid and I can sit in it for many hours with no discomfort at all.
Super comfy and the mechanism feels really solid and built to last. I hadn’t realised how much difference a chair can make to your working day.
