We bought this for fun to put up in the garden for fun. It’s a great fun and we might even take up camping.

I bought this primarily for working at music festivals but also for short camping trips in the winter. I’ve got a surplus Polish Lavvu that I’ve used before for one-night camps but for working I needed something a bit bigger and more comfortable, and I was fed up of elasticated tent poles that snap every ten minutes so I liked the idea of getting another teepee-style tent.

As expected, having only a single pole makes this very quick and easy to put up and take down. It also seems to be pretty warm although the coldest I’ve used it in so far only got down to about 10 degrees. Having the ability to take the top section off is very handy on warm nights and it’s also nice to look up and see the stars from inside your tent.

I’ve had it out in some reasonably heavy rain already and didn’t notice any drips or leaks, although I did have the classic problem of a single-skin tent where bumping into the canvas from the inside gets you soaked. The ground sheet fits perfectly and I didn’t notice any water coming up through it.

The tent is a nice size (a lot bigger than the polish lavvu) and I could comfortably fit a mosquito net with a camping bed in it, and still have enough room to safely use a woodburning stove. There is no way I could stand up without pushing against the canvas though so getting dressed in the morning is a bit of a pain.

Speaking of the stove, I used it on one night mostly just for the novelty and had no trouble with it – the stove jack seems to work perfectly well and ventilation seemed fine. The tent does heat up very quickly when you’ve got a fire going, and it didn’t burn down which is always a positive!

It also comes with some nice sturdy pegs which are handy, and the carry bag is easily big enough, meaning you aren’t messing around trying to cram everything in. I’ve got a mallet, a couple of extra poles and a canvas tarp stuffed in there without any trouble.

All in all I can’t think of any real negatives about this item which is generally a good sign! There are a couple of places on the canvas where some imperfections have been repaired but these all seem to be well done and watertight so no complaints there.

Hopefully I’ll have this out in some colder conditions in the winter and if anything bad comes up I’ll ammed my review then.

    Looking Good so Far!

It’s very durable, easy to set up, packs surprisingly well into a small compartment for such a tough and robust tent, has great quality seams and linings, solid pegs and lots of them, guy lines are OK. Above all, I love the height it offers me and it seems to stand firm so far even in heavy wind and rain (water just glances off). I like that it has two entrances that you can be expanded if you want to, very convenient for when using the stove jack (haven’t tried yet). The addition of a floor mat is also really welcome although it doesn’t exactly cover the entire interior area. All in all, I am more than pleased. It is a solid 4 season tent for 1-2 people, perhaps 3 if children are included. 10/10.

The best tent I have owned

I bought this as a gift for my wife and she is very pleased with it. She uses it with our existing Frontier Stove and it works very well. Heavy duty construction and well made. I would say ideal if you are car camping as it would be rather heavy to backpack with this when you were carrying a stove as well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersCould not resist popping this up on the lawn though grass was wet! I looked at the enclosed instructions and up it went, 5 mins. Note, when putting the pole in assemble 3 sections insert into the harness then put the outside peak cover on before adding last pole section. If I were staying would have tweeked it some more and added the guy ropes. Not a huge tent but roomy enough for one person and their dog, plus wood burner, bed etc. The material is quite thick compared to standard tents. Quite impressed. Now its drying then I’ll figure out best way to fold to fit back in bag. I have always used conventional tents previously, this is so easy to put up in comparison. No crawling (which is not easy for me these days) to get in and the option for heat. Groundsheet quite thin but I’m not planning to sleep on the ground… and it does have one which many do not. All in all happy with it, can’t wait for the weather to improve so I can go on a trip.. where to I wonder…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI took a gamble buying this, and I was expecting a thin, cheap, nasty product. I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to erect, but I did struggle a little putting the top cone on as I am not that tall, found it easier to manoeuvre from the inside. The pegs are sturdy and it has points for guy ropes (which are also supplied.) The carry bag seems okay, time will tell. Although I haven’t slept in it yet I have it set up in the garden and it has been subjected to some heavy rain. So far so good. There is some leaking through the material on the stove jack flap, the rain doesn’t bead on this area, just seems to soak through, the ground sheet also shows signs of damp coming through it – hence the 4 stars.
I plan to get some fabsil and coat this area and use my sturdier ground sheet then I will be ready for winter and some hot tenting.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersTook a risk on this tent as there’s not really many reviews on it and pretty limited description. I must say I’m really happy with this tent only used once so far in the snow with lows of minus 5. Great quality zips and the material is great the water literally just runs straight off so when it comes to packing up its pretty much dry. I must say the quality feels on par with the top end hot tents double the price. I wouldn’t recommend it as a
two man tent but would be possible with an adult and there kid or partner. As a one man tent its perfect the peak of the tent is around 7ft so none of this crawling in and out on your hands and knees like the smaller tents. I had plenty of room for my Trekology camping chair, woodstove, log pile, sleeping system and bag. Id say 2 to 3 men could sit comfortably inside the tent to shelter, and without a stove id say you could easily sleep 2 to 3 adults. The tent weighs in at about 7 kilos so and comes with a good quality carry bag and not a bad packsize considering the size of the tent. Id highly recommended this tent it could be used in many different scenarios all through the year from camp sights to wild camping in the winter. 5 stars im a keen wild camper thus is not a fake review (Ken the cat)
