Good bar, it’s bright, a good size and fits perfectly on the back of my MK6 transit jumbo

the controller is really nice, long enough cable to reach from the back of my van all the way to the front without having to extend any wires, it has a LOT of patterns and functions including the ability to switch it from front only, to rear only, or both front / rear.

The controller also remembers the settings you had it on, I tend to leave mine on auto but if you set it to say pattern 12, it will keep it there between usage. The LED’s on the controller that show the pattern too are handy, saves you getting out the van to see.

I’ve had it on the roof of the van now for 3/4 months and it’s solid as a rock, you can see it from a fair distance at night but in the day it’s not the most brightest, you can still see it, but obviously you’re fighting with the sun and I don’t think many light bars can compete.

It didn’t come with any fitting instructions and the brackets it comes with don’t seem to make any sense, you get 2 little grey ones which I ended up throwing away and then the black standoff ones that come pre-attached. I removed the rubber feed from the attached bracket and then bored the holes out a teeny bit and then bolted it to the roof using some rivnuts, it’s a bit fiddly getting a bolt in between the bracket and the bar, but doable and once it’s in, I popped a little blog of tigerseal on the top of all the nuts just to keep water out and stop anything twisting / rattling free.

Power wise, I put it on my bench PSU and it pulls just over 10W of power at 12V with all LED’s lit up, not too bad but you wouldn’t want to leave it on for hours and hours without your engine on if it’s connected to your starter battery

Overall, pretty impressed for the money, The picture is of my van with it fitted (note the wiring up there is just a temporary fix to make sure it worked, you want to keep your cables neat and route them inside the van if you can!)

Good bit of kit for the money, but be prepared to modify the brackets
