Great lock This lock attached easily to my bike and my frame is a little short but fitted on the seatpost perfectly. Coils up tightly and doesn’t interfere with my riding position and the lock combination works well.

This bike lock is ideal for when I need to pop down to my local shop and keep my bike outside, this lock will stop the opportunist in their tracks, if not slow them down somewhat giving me time to deal with the situation if the need arises. My neighbourhood is rather quiet but you never know and at 9.99, it’s a small price to pay for piece of mind, I’m very pleased with this lock, money well spent, very happy to recommend!

Function and quality
This is a good quality bike lock for the price, better than some I’ve purchased in the past. The outer cable sheath is made from a thick plastic, I chose the orange colour as this is more visible and more of a deterrent.
The lock does weigh quite a bit which is a good indication of the amount of steel in this lock, the actual lock mechanism is of a zinc alloy I think but the cable is sure enough steel.
The lock arrives with ‘00000’ set as the default combination, to set your own just open the lock, turn the wheel clockwise, set your combination, then turn the wheel anti clockwise and that’s it, job done, this is all explained in the instructions.
The lock frame is a useful addition which easily fits on the bike with the lock attaching to it just as easily, although I tend to just wrap this lock around the main frame when not in use.
I’ve used this now for a while without any issues, the rain hasn’t caused any issues with the lock mechanism at all, I do regularly just spray a bit of WD40 in the lock to keep it in good shape.
Conclusion
For a good deterrence, 9.99 is a price worth paying, the quality is good and this is serving me very well.

But whether this conceals a puny cable I don’t know. My guess is that it is good for the odd hour or two in a busy street, but I wouldn’t chance this to secure my bike against a professional thief’s bolt-croppers in a dark sheltered spot. For that you will need a hardened-steel D-lock.
Overall, good value for the money you would spend on three pokes of chips.
