We are in the process of improving our yard and these will be one of the finishing touches. Our son in law is an electrician and has checked these over (however you don’t need an electrician to install these).
He assures us that these are easy to install and safe to use. Ending you need to install these is included in the box.
You will need to download an app to control these.
He doesn’t envisage any issues arising with these lights but if they do I will return and amend this review accordingly.
Good quality set of decking lights, however we haven’t installed them in decking but instead have sunk them around the edge of our patio in some small garden border stones and have then shining on to our patio.
At night they are very bright and look brilliant.
The fact you can control them via Bluetooth with the app is a great feature and a good show peice when you have friends and family round.
They seem very well made and durable and we have had no issues with them yet with regards to the UK weather.
52.99 for a 6 pk RGB+BT I feel is a fair price for what you get in regards of quality and features.
Overall very recommended to brighten up your garde
We are in the process of installing a large decked area and these will be used for the path leading from the deck to the garden.
These have not been installed yet but we have checked them thoroughly and plugged them in to get a feel for how they will look in the garden.
I like the canopy shape of the lights and the light is diffused nicely giving a good effect,
A free App needs to be downloaded so that you can control the lights, set a timer, change the colour, sync to music etc.
Extra sets can be added together depending on the space you wish to cover.
These are really good lights with lots of functions, although in reality I think I’ll probably end up using just the timer and maybe change the colour once in a while,
Expensive but these are a superior set of lights
For expensive lights you expect these to be good and they are, though 51.99 at the point of review, does even so seem a tad expensive for only six lights. Yes they are Bluetooth controlled (when in range) but no integration with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi enabled apps, which is a bit disappointing.
That said these lights do offer some functionality, you can set the colour temperature through the app and set timings, which are a useful feature. We’ve not installed these as yet as they are going to be installed in our small decking extension, which six lights is just the right number., so have tested outside the box, but will work in the same way when installed. The quality of the lights is good and they come with an IP65 waterproof rating, so should stand up to any weather that’s thrown at it, it’s a good job as we get lashings of rain where we live!
Installation is much the same as any of these types of decking lights, and you can add sets on if needed (12 lights total on 8 watt power supply included in this pack, up to 32 lights on the larger power supply provided with larger sets). The lights are expensive at 51.99 and get better value if you buy larger sets, at the moment these are around 8.67 per light, but if you buy a set of twenty this reduces to around 5.60 per light, so you’re paying for the initial infrastructure in the smaller set. So good lights but expensive unless you need the functionality, buying larger makes them better value.
The half lid light design is quite distinctive and quite unusual in deck lights, but does I feel limits application. They’ll work well for pathway edged lighting or edging a deck, providing a more filtered light as you don’t get the full glare of the lamp, which is a good feature, so just depends how you’re planning to use them if these are right for your needs.
The associated app is easy to download and straight-forward to use, and great that you can set a timing pattern, change colours and sync to music. The first one I’ll use instead of linking up a dusk to dawn sensor in the back, which my front garden Ines are controlled by. All in all this is a nice set with good functionality and is robustly made with a nice half lid design. They lose a star for value for money for this six piece set only. Four stars.
For such discreet lighting these really are quite bright, great idea having a wide colour range controlled by your mobile is perfect so you can suit your lighting to your mood.
May seem expensive for just lights but these lights appear to be made out of good materials so will last the test of time, I like the way these are specifically designed for decking and are easy to fit.
Do check the product desription for the sizing as I was a bit surprised at how small these were but it is clearly stated in the description.

It lights up the path beautifully every night when they come on.
They are good quality lights and they are quite well lit as well.
Everything you need is provided within the box and it is nice and easy also to set up and install them ready for night time.
I want some more for the back garden path as these look just fab lighting up the front path!
Compared with some lights, at first glance these seem a little small. However, once installed, they put on an amazing display and if you connect via Bluetooth, they sync with music and the colour combinations are seemingly endless.
You need to take care when planning where to position them. If under decking, the cut out has to be accurate and bear in mind they’re supplied with a plug, so a power point is needed. The connectors are waterproof and I have outdoor wall sockets, so was able to set up the lights in a corner and plug them in. Far better than other lights I’ve tried which needed mains installation and connectors. They look great, seem very well made and I’m tempted to buy more to complete an area. Recommended.
These decking lights have nice little lamps but sadly I knocked a star off the rating for a reason. Had it not been for the app these would have been given a 5* review but one thing I really dislike is another app for my phone. There are generic apps available, that one can connect almost anyhting that is Smart but too many Chinese manufacturers are producing products that insist on downloading another app and many of them are malware as they basically steal all the data from the phone. I’ve found more than a fair few that upload everything and even require permission to record voice calls, the caller / recipient’s phone number, the phone’s contacts list etc. etc. and none of it relevant to simply dimming a light or recoding one’s heart beat etc.
Even without the security weaknesses of these stand alone phone appsone needs a phone with a hard drive as large as a PC to store all the apps and each App drains battery energy so I am not a keen fan of one off Apps for each and every product when a generic app can control all Smart devices.
Setting aside the App issue, these lights are made to a good quality standard with good quality cabling. The manis power adapter and the BT (Bluetooth) driver are both solid and strong as one would expect of this type of product. The lights are easy to assemble and additional lights can be added if needed.
Although the main header and the packaging refer to “Decking Lights” these are suitable for many other uses as they can just as easily be installed in fencing or in the risers / steps of stairs. They are even small enough to put into skirting boards. However, using these in skirting boards and on stairs will require a bit of extra work but it will be worth the time and effort.
I am recommending these “Decking”, fencing, stairwell, even brick wall lights, if one doesn’t mind the extra work of drill and cutting brickwork lights, as they are good quality, they are strong and they are good value but they need to be compatable with generic BT Apps to get the full 5* rating.
Though fairly small at 35mm diameter, these IP65 waterproof LED decking lights give out a lot of light and would be perfect for steps or level changes around a garden.
Easy to install and connect, the colour and brightness can be controlled via a Smartphone once connected. There’s even a music mode, timer and camera function.
This pack of 6 lights is reasonably priced at 51.99. The lights are well designed and the build quality is good so they’d be likely to last for a very long time. The only question is – is a 6 pack enough?
These came well presented in a retail box and inside you get 6 x Decking Lights, Lighting Controller, Mains Power Adapter, Wiring End Cap, Mounting Screw for Controller & Power Adapter, and Instructions. This particular set is the one without the remote control, so you do need to download the App in order to control them.
Putting everything together is really simple and is just a matter of pushing the 4-pin male and female connectors together and then screwing the ring tightly, making the connection waterproof. The mains adapter come pre-fitted with a UK plug. Each of the light is spring-loaded with 4 springs, so once you have cut the whole to size and sorted out the wiring, you just pop then into the hole.
Once you have paired the App with the lights, you get access to five main sections: Colour, Functions, Mic, Music, and Camera.
1. Colour – you can choice from 16M colours, 5 pre-sets, set individual RGB levels and adjust brightness.
2. Functions — gradual change, strobe, cross fade, and colour jumping
3. Mic — syncs lights to external sounds e.g., music. You can adjust mic sensitivity and select Rock, Normal, Jazz, etc. which changes the way the lights react to the music/
4. Music — syncs to music being played on device that is running the App.
5. Camera — use your devices camera to select a colour and the lights will change to it.
Across all the above you have on/off and timer icons.
I did have a bit of trouble with the Music mode, whereby the lights were syncing but I could not here the music playing.
The LEDS on these lights are quite small and as such, they are not overly bright but that is not to say they are dim. Unlike most decking lights, these do not sit flush with the decking. There is a semi-circle that sits up proud, a bit like a stage, and the light emanates only from that one direction. Because they are going to stick up/out, you do not want to place these where someone may trip up on them.
They do look good though and when I got the correct setting for the Mic syncing to music, they worked quite well actually. Personally, I think these are more about creating atmosphere than lighting up a garden.
There are not many sets like this on the amazon website, making it tricky to get a fix on the value for money aspect and decking lights seem to be inherently expensive anyway.

These tiny lights give a very nice ambient light.
Creates a beautiful elevated look on your deck.
You can create a groups for your different sets of deck lights and control them in one mobile phone.
The music feature could be brighter but cant complain leaves a great ambience around the deck
Well worth the price!
The quality is ok, the clip could be a bit stronger but it does hold, just have to be gentle with it when pushing the lights in place.

The RGB lights were boxed well and I was very impressed when I received these lights. They are made from water-proof zinc alloy/stainless steel and look sturdy and long-lasting.
My husband was able to install them without any difficulty.
We have set up them on our stairs and don’t they look amazing.
Revamped and modern, that is what I can say about my house.

very nice lights. I already had some existing deck lights. They were led but faced out, unlike these that face down. This set matched perfectly. I was able to install these in the steps on my deck, as well as replace an old light on my patio that was causing a glare.
I used a 15/16 drill bit and they fit well. A great addition to any deck
Really been impressed with these lights. They are very simple to connect and are very modular, after locating the proper drill bit for installation, these were an absolute breeze to install! Smaller than you might think – but put out a lot of light for their size. My kids love the different color combinations and pattern sequencing.

I decided to use these on my steps as it is coming up to the time of year when we venture out into the garden again, these were easy to fit only needing 24mm holes, they have a UK 3 min plug which I just connected to my outdoor box and then ran the wiring under the decking to the steps, all very simple and now I have app-controlled lighting that I can change colours with to suit the mood, the app works well and I honestly cannot fault these lights one bit.
These lights can be set up inside or outside, they can be set up on stairs and are quite useful at night when going up the stairs in the dark. You can set the lights to be displayed any way you want. All functions are to be controlled from your phone by connecting to the lights through bluetooth. You can also schedule the lights to come on at times, this is very useful for kids in the dark outside. You can also play music through the lights. The lights are very durable so they can be placed outside.
