Light. Bright. Sharp and crisp when struck but doesn’t linger and ring loudly. Undertones remain quiet. Excellent sound.

Come sempre Sabian non delude. Il suono tipico e gradevole. Non do 5 stelle perch lo avrei preferito un pochino pi potente.
    Comunque sempre al top!!!

Great sound, glassy and trashy at the same time. Been playing it for a month now and I don’t regret a thing.

Buyers beware of the soft packaging. My cymbal came as if someone sat on it. Had a mini heart attack when I opened what I would describe as a bubble wrap ENVELOPE! Completely inadequate for a cymbal. Drumhead box or small pizza box would’ve done the job for next to nothing. Fortunately I could straighten the cymbal back with no damage or consequences.

Other than that, I’m loving this cymbal.

    Glassy. Trashy. Classy! Pathetic packaging.

Certo ha un certo prezzo ma la qualit mostruosa nonostante sia solo un 10″. La soluzione “aero” geniale, con ampia gamma sonora. Leggerissimo. Consegna impeccabile come sempre, molto soddisfatto.

Had a 12″ Zildjian splash that, through years of use, abuse, moves, and gigs, had cracked around the bell to where it was only holding on by 3mm of metal on one side and maybe 10 mm on the opposite side, which gave that cymbal a reall cool trashy-splash sound… great color… well after 15 years of it holding together like that, it finally gave up the ghost. I found videos of this one and loved the tone and projection. It looks awesome with my kit and gives me the great trashy splash sound I was looking for, with a bit of a brighter, crispier sound! Love it!

This is a great addition to the AAX family. It’s very musical, has a fast response and decay. These are a bit more alive than the Aero splashes and they blend nicely with HHX line. I have this 10″ in brilliant as well. They are very close in character but the traditional finish seems a tad more trashy sounding. I highly recommend this cymbal.

This cymbal has a nice bite to it. It’s quick in response and decay but very musical and can be surprisingly dynamic. It isn’t a “loud” cymbal but it cuts through nicely. It has a trashy sound but it is more smooth than dirty if that makes sense. This is currently one of my main cymbals. It blends great with my AAX and HHX array. I have it in brilliant on one kit and traditional on my main kit. The sound only varies slightly and they both look great. Sound variation you’ll find is common between cymbals when you buy duplicates of most brands but Sabian does a good job with keeping it as close as you’ll find. I recommend this for sure.

I love my array of Sabian cymbals, I have a bunch between AA, AAX & HHX but this is hands down my favorite cymbal. I’ve been hybrid drumming since around 2011. It took a while to bring it all together but one of the things that really helped was decreasing the size of cymbals I use. The biggest challenge of all was finding a ride cymbal that fit my sound outside of a 22″. There were a couple 18″ that I tried but I just sort of settled & still felt out of balance.

Maybe 4 years ago the hunt out of frustration started again & I came across this cymbal. It changed everything for me. It has everything I needed. Great bell ping, nice overall stick articulation & feel on the bow. I mean really good articulation, even when giving it the what not you never lose the stick. The crash is dirty but not too trashy, also not overwhelming. This has worked with any type of music I’ve been hired to record.

I had to do a metal session that led to another, then another. I started to get worried that I was going to end up bending or breaking the edge as it is super thin. I picked up an 18″ Omni, they are based on these cymbals but are built more for stick playing as they say. I just didn’t like it as much as this 16″ El Sabor. I put it back on the kit & just said what will be will be. I’ve never did bend or crack it so I exchanged the Omni for another one of these & now this is my third. That being said while I can strike pretty hard, I’m more of a finesse player than a blast beat basher. I also don’t play with tree trunk sticks.

Another place that this cymbal has stood out is that all 3 have sounded practically the same. I’ve bought duplicates of other cymbals in the past & each has always seemed to have a slight difference in character some how. Maybe that part is more luck than anything but I’ll take it. I truly can’t recommend this cymbal any more passionately than to say… after a couple straight decades of playing this is my all time favorite cymbal.

Heidi Joubert recommended this cymbal for cajon playing and no surprise she is right. This has the perfect crash cymbal sound when played by hand.

I needed to add this kind of sound to my drum set without spending 200$+ and I must admit that I am super happy with the result! This is perfect for new drummer trying to expand their kit without spending to mutch!

I used this cymbal in a stack. I used this cymbal on the bottom with a Meinl 12″ Custom trash cymbal on top. I stacked them like you would with HiHats. Sounds great. It bites. Produces a trashy electro clap type sound.

I’ll give this a 5 star for its excellent sound. I was skeptical how a hand crash would sound, and I’m quite surprised. It’s fairly loud and has a longer than expected sustain. Both are too much for my cajon application, in a 3 piece acoustic group.

I’ve been experimenting with deadening it with different size hand towels for now. I’ve also discovered that by using a metal necklace (in lieu of a bacon sizzler) it brings the pitch up slightly. I’d say it’s a bit lower tone than I expected in a 16″, but i feel like there’s a solution that could make it just right.

I use this with my Cajon drumming and it’s awesome. Great splash sound and it’s easy on my hands.

Great splash while playing quietly, but don’t count on it as your main splash as it’s not too loud. Very unique sound to it. More like a swish than a splash.

Great sound. Exactly what I was hoping for too add to my kit. Cuts through my other Sabian cymbals with unique splash sound.

Very nice sound, I would say between mini China and splash, it adds more color to my set.

My husband is a drummer and I bought him this for Christmas. I was a little surprised when I saw how small this cymbal is, and so was he, but he played it right away and the sound is very interesting. He said it’s not a cymbal you would play a lot, but if adds and interesting dynamic when used occasionally.

Great sound fast decay just what Aax is supposed to do. What I like about it is you can strike it terrific loud sound and you can strike it as a glancing blow and it’s much quieter . You can control if you want it to cut through the mix or sing with the rest of your Cymbals . Enjoy it great buy!

This cymbal is AWESOME!!! It has a bright sound, quick attack and decay. As the title states, its a air splash; you definitely get a nice airy sound with this. Its just perfection!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am a percussionist, I play cajon, conga, bongos and others. I am very pleased with this cymbal. It is like having three cymbals in one, outside a crash, a very nice ride in the middle and in the inner part a bell. It is very versatil and I love to play with this cymbal. When I don’t have to much space to accomodate more cymbals I play only with this one and the overall result is great!
To have a better crash effect I use it with a Cymbal Sizzler…. Great cymbal!

I did not want a China crash that was invasive, I needed one that would cut through the music with a distinctive china sound but i also wanted very little sustain (similar to a splash). This was exactly the sound I was going for.

    Very Cool !

Three very articulate spaces to groove on: crisp bell, dark ride mid section and nice bright crash edge to provide three dynamic presentations in one cymbal.

A very controlled, brilliant, explosive and short sound, could be a little louder for me, but I like it since it can be used more frequently that a large China trash.

I auditioned one of these at Guitar Center, loved it, more than any splash in the store (save for the Sabian AAX “AIR” splash, that was too loud for my purposes).
I knew I should buy the one at the store, as cymbals can vary, but I went home, and ordered one from Amazon..it DID NOT compare to the GC one.
So I took my Amazon cymbal to the Guitar Center (a 90 mile drive), and played the two of them for the drum tech, a dept manager, and my wife.
All three said the GC version blew away the Amazon one…it had a higher, clean tone, and more sustain.
The one I bought online, sounded clunky and cheap.

Amazon however, allowed me, no questions asked, to return the cymbal, and even paid the shipping back, with NO re-stock fee…AWESOME!
So I will buy from Amazon again without hesitation, but probably not another cymbal…they are as individual as humans, and need to be heard.

The Sabian Ozone series cymbals are very innovative! Sabian has literally invented a new color and sound produced by laser-cut holes in the surface.
This cymbal is a spicy/rude little gem that can create a new dimension in your rock/alternative music. This cymbal is perfect for those little quiet breaks/bridges that need just the right little syncopated splash with a bite! It’s a little brash for soft music like jazz or pop, but is perfect for anything from classic to metal. I purchased the 8″ and 10″ AAX ozone splashes so I can play 8th notes with different pitches.
BTW…Check out the 18″ Sabian HHX Ozone crash that’s just the Crash/Ride you’ve been looking for! There’s a demo video on the Sabian website that will hook you!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI recently was on a hunt for a new china cymbal, having needed to upgrade from an old Zildjian 18″. I had started looking at drummers I admire the sound of to see what I may be interested in. I finally discovered this beautiful cymbal. It’s got a very buttery, rich, and explosive sound. Not annoying, with a long decay, sharp, or teeth-gritting (like man other chinas), but musical. It’s great for fast accents, and it compliments my family of cymbals SO well. It can be a very loud cymbal when you need it, and still deliver the same intensity at quieter dynamics. I recommend checking it out if you want something with a quicker decay, and a bright but not piercing trash sound.
