This has been a great hoover, has good suction and I love the light on the front of it shows up the dust on the wooden floor works better if you hoover in the dark
This cleaner was exactly what I was looking for. I had a Shark upright cleaner in the past but wanted something different this time . So glad I did this cleaner fits all my requirements.

Real good suction power, nooks and crannies no problems. Great for cat hair, she used in the bed to clean up with the small attachment provided.
Only negative is bit cheap and plasticky.
Yes, it is a little big in size, but it makes up for it with its excellent power. At the same time, it works quite quietly. Vacuuming with it is a real pleasure!

At first it feels quite lumpy. Once you have it on the carpet or floor and you understand how to change settings, it is easy to use.
This vacuum is quite easy to maneuver and use on hard floors. The attachments that come with it are wonderful for car cleaning, but also nooks and crannies. I have been quite happy with it, and really like the on handle option for switching between carpet and hard floors. With kids and pets, it was important to find sometime that is easy to use and effective. I am happy with our choice.
I ordered this hoover as a replacement for our Vax. I was honestly shocked with how good it is and it’s worth every penny I’ve recommended it to everyone. I’ve had Miele and Vax before and I wouldn’t go back to them after using this hoover. The buttons at the top with the led display means you don’t have to bend down constantly and it saves your back by miles.
This vacuum cleaner is unbelievable. I have had a number of cleaners and none of them have been very good. Cleaning the carpet was fair but they would not clean lino. I purchased this cleaner and tried it out straight away. WOW, what a difference. This machine cleaned the carpet without any worries and the lino was spotless as well. Highly recommend this cleaner.
A solid well constructed appliance. The put-together and use instructions need a bit of work. Once you understand the machine it does work well. The overall weight is high and the brush head is heavy. The performance is very good and definitely gets rid of pet hairs. Will buy Shark agai
It could be easier to maneuver, but overall it is a good vacuum. However, I contacted Shark who said they would email me the manual but it never arrived. So zero stars for customer service.
I love this vacuum cleaner and have recommended it to customers, family and friends. Excellent product, half the price of a Dyson and twice as powerful.
This is built like a tank. The main unit is quilt light but the handle and head can feel heavy. The supplied accessories do not clip in to the end like they do on a Dyson so may fall off or get caught on aiming and be pulled off. There is no accessory with a soft brush on the end !? One would think these would be standard? So get read for not being able to hoover blinds or delicates.
Overall a solid bagels hoover capable of holding its own against dyson on suction but not on overall “thought of everything” design.
Having been a Dyson and Henry owner for decades I had to replace a 7 year old Dyson Animal Cylinder with a sudden electrical burning smell. Friends mentioned Shark so I took the advice and couldn’t be happier. The build quality is superior, everything nicely clunks into place rather than a plastic sounding click, and the plastic bits feel substantial rather than flimsy. The controls are conveniently placed on the handle for the dual cleaning head so no need to keep stopping and changing heads to swap between hard floors and carpets or rugs, and no bending down. The on off button and cord rewind are big and designed to be taped by foot, again less bending. The cylinder itself stands up or lays down with multiple wheels and the handle folds in half with well placed protectors to save damage. I hated emptying the cylinder on the Dyson but this design is so well thought out. I first tried it on a thick and fluffy rug that I had cleaned with the Dyson a few days earlier and was absolutely horrified with the amount collected. All in all, the design is exceptional with everything clearly thought through, the build quality is excellent, the suction is very powerful, it’s easy and light to use, and all with a very stylish finish. 150 out of 10, couldn’t be happier with it and am totally changed over from my old brands

I am really pleased with this product, my one ‘issue/disappointment’ is the weight of the handpiece. I have rheumatoid arthritus/osteoporisis and I do sruggle with the weight of the handle, the body of the cleaner is lighter!
The machine ‘cleans’ like no other cleaner I have ever bought – so- overall I am happy with my ‘new toy’

I was very pleased with the performance but did find it a bit cumbersome as the cleaning head is quite heavy and as I have limited space in the room and sometimes have to lift head over things to access other areas I do find that a bit of a pain as it was advertised as lightweight and it is just not with the head on.
As a former Dyson owner I was very hesitant to try the shark brand and some of the (free) reviewers were off putting but after trying my neighbours upright Shark I decided to try this model and I’m so happy I did. I find it much easier to maneuver then the upright and love that all the settings are right at your finger tips.
Goes from floor to rug to carpet with ease. Stairs (using the pet tool) is a breeze and who knew you absolutely needed lights on your vacuum!
My only small complaint is that the attachments don’t click to fit so can be a bit of a struggle to remove for those with arthritic fingers. This is a shame especially when it is so easy to remove the roller brush with just a press out a button.
Anyway, if this is a trick by our overlords to get us to like hovering then it is working!
Lastly buy the under furniture tool it fits under everything.

I have purchased dozens of vacuum clears over the years. Shark in my opinion are the best thing that’s happen to vacuums since Dyson. The reason for this purchase was the brush bar stopped working on one of my current two Sharks. I decided to try their newest range the cylinder style. Currently there are three models in the range. The cheapest model doesn’t feature the Anti hair wrap technology. Therefore if you or family members have hair on your heads, and carpet on your floors I wouldn’t consider purchasing it. This CZ500UKT model is the top of the range.
Assembly is simple and straightforward, with all the packaging being recyclable. You can switch the vac on with the bottom on the base unit, or the handle. Operating the on / off by the handle is perfect when you are using on the stairs etc. The handle switch also toggles between carpet and hard floor modes. I’m guessing it’s a sign of the times, because the vac always starts on hard floor mode. This is a little annoying when you only stop the vac for just a second or two. Suction modes can also be controlled via the handle, 3 modes for carpet, 2 modes for hard floors.
I have noticed the head lifts slightly when sliding back and forth, maybe a heavy head would have solved this. The folding wand to get under furniture makes the problem 100% worse. The Anti hair wrap is definitely witch craft. My last Dyson costing hundreds needed stripping down weekly to untangle the hair. My hand held Dyson V8 animal the head burnt out, because it was tangled with hair. If you do see the odd hair on your Shark’s roller it will clear, keep using it. The movability could be improved with better wheels in my opinion. The cord rewind feature never gets old!.
Overall I wouldn’t purchase this model at full RRP, but at 199.99 it’s a brilliant purchase. The five year guarantee is another deal breaker with Shark products. Overall is definite 4 out of five stars from me.
Bought this hoover as I have the upright chargeable shark already and wanted a hoover to do all house work with. This is so light I can easily get it up the stairs even though I have a bad back. The end of the hoover extends so u can hoover the edges of the ceilings to get rid of cob webs and the hoover has settings for carpet and hard floors which are easy to change also its bagless so u can easily unclip the part that holds the dirt and empty it into the bin its absolutely great and the suction is amazing
Product purchased for whole house cleaning. Corded Cylinder option chosen as Cordless option felt top heavy with battery and motor mounted at top of suction tube. Level of suction very effective (score 5*) and touch controls at top of vacuum tube very useful especially when manoeuvring in a closed space or staircase (score 4*) where movement can be restricted. Moving around the house between carpeted and hard flooring can be difficult especially starting from carpet as the default mode of operation is hard floor. However with some practice and right level of suction this product will clean most surfaces efficiently – providing care is taken to guide the heavy cylinder unit along behind you as progress around corners and obstacles – hence Manoeuvrability score is only 3*.

The powered brush in the vacuum head is a must if you are serious about getting rid of more than just the bare minimum. From observation with multiple other vacuums, some dust particles have too small surface area to be affected by the ordinary vacuums, even if they are powerful machines, so the air just passes over the particles; therefore, the dust should be first disturbed by a solid object (like a brush, feather duster, etc.) to be raised into the air, and then sucked right into the vacuum—this is when the powered rotating brush in the vacuum head comes into play, along with the strong suction. It also “massages” the carpet, to give it a more in-depth clean (almost like a carpet beater would).
Sure, it has a cord, but that is necessary due to the technological constraint if you need to clean an extensive area for more than a few minutes at the time—though the cord is 9 metres, which allows us to do the entire two-story house without having to re-plug it even once.
Where it also shines is ergonomy: from the controls on the handle, through the gliding unit being so smoothly manoeuvrable, to the change of heads being possible without having to bend down most of the time. You can even use it while the unit stands upright, due to the placement of the vents.
However, it is on the bigger side, so it may not be particularly suitable for small living areas, where the cordless vacuum may be sufficient. Pushing the head over a thick carpet can be a bit of work, but that the carpet actually looks clean afterwards is definitely worth it.

easy to use and move around, A bit heavier than my old one but despite my arm weakness I can carry it .
That being said, I took a chance and bought the Shark, as the other vacuum cleaners just didn’t seem to offer what I wanted/needed. Most of them did not have a 5-year warranty to begin with, and I bought a new Duronic in 2020, which didn’t last beyond a year. AND- truth be told, until they don’t work…Sharks are GREAT, and my buying experience suggested the devil you know rather than the devil you don’t know.
This new Shark is a change of pace for me, as I went for a cylinder instead of an upright. It is a good piece of kit, though sometimes it struggles a bit to cut around corners, manoeuvrability-wise. The suction is excellent and I love the power and floor surface button being literally at my finger tips. It’s a bit noisier than the Duronic, but unlike the Duronic, five trials in, it still has viable suction for the floors. I have read some reviews saying that the Shark gives up with suction…but so far so good. (It’s VERY new, so it really SHOULD be picking things up). My daughter has long curly hair and molts like a lab, and thus far it removes the hair quite well. It is good on the wooden laminate as well as the carpet, though it is much harder to push on the carpet. So if you’ve been weakened by Covid or Long Covid or generally need something requiring little energy from your end, this is NOT the vac for you with regards to carpeting.
I am extremely pleased with this purchase and I am at peace with knowing I will likely need to replace it in 5 years. It will have been worth it…all things considered. And who knows, maybe this time the story will have a different ending…

The only potential con that I’m not sure relates to this vacuum cleaner in particular is that bagless vacuum cleaners are usually fiddly to clean and maintain. The filter can get clogged which is a faff to clean, and eventually it clogs up to the point where it impairs suction and you just have to buy a whole new vacuum cleaner. Bags may be old school but they’re somewhat easier to clean and maintain. I guess this is something I’ll only be able to comment on over time! Otherwise, I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner 🙂
