Simpled extendable smart cylinder is suitable for different door thicknesses.
The 60mm size can be used on doors with thickness from 4.5cm to 8.5cm.
The 80mm size can be used on doors with thickness from 8cm to 11cm.
A unique feature of simpled door cylinder is that it can be extended from both inside and outside. (As you can see in the picture)
Please NOTICE these 3:
1. From the outside, when the door is closed, please measure and ensure you have at least 3.5 centimetres between the centre of your current cylinder and door frame(NOT door edge, but door frame). We want to make sure the outer knob won’t hit the door frame.

This is a well made lock, it just feels good in the hand, it was so easy to install I took it back out to take a picture of it, I’ll add another photo when I reinstall the lock in the door, easy to program you’re FP’s and any other cards you may have bought, instructions are a little vague but I worked it out. Holding the reset button for 5+seconds enters setup mode, pressing the reset button takes you to different menus, you do need to have added an administration finger print but that is explained in the instruction, for the rest follow my advice if you want to. Great lock.
Good quality solid lock. Installed in less than 5 minutes. But.. put the batteries in and set it up before you install it. Makes it easier. However, the instructions and App are typically rubbish and confusing. To get to the settings on the lock itself you have to hold the button down for 5 seconds. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that as far as I can see. Apologies if this is my mistake.

Great little smart lock, unfortunately just the wrong size for our back door (got another simpled lock instead!) But easy to set up and app is really functional with gateway. Installation is literally minutes if you can change a euro cylinder lock you can do this, never get locked out again.
I was in the market for a smart lock on our front door, after a lot of research I settled on the Simpled Smart Cylinder. Very easy to install and works perfectly every time. I had some questions so reached out to Simpled customer support who responded very quickly and resolved all my queries. Cannot recommend enough.
The Good
– Ease of use. These types of Euro cylinder locks are easy to replace. Besides, for this one lock measurement isn’t an issue and it can be adjusted.
– Removing my current cylinder lock was tricky as it had a BSI cylinder lock frame. However, fitting this smart one was easy.
– It offers a good range of access. I can lock/unlock from the app, Key card, my apple watch, or using Alexa. I do not have google so can’t confirm that. However, you will need the wifi gateway for Alexa/Google to work.
– The mechanical key is a bridge for people who aren’t just ready to move into a smart lock. Besides, it kinda makes you feel safe if the battery dies and the phone is unavailable, you forget the keycard and pin code, which is very unlikely.
– On paper, this lock is more secure than a regular Euro cylinder lock as it usages encrypted Bluetooth/NFC/Fingerprint. I am not an expert on security but the lock felt heavy, well built, and secure.
– Another good thing is I can take the lock with me if I move house.
– I have a video doorbell and with this lock + wifi gateway, I can open the door for the delivery guy remotely and lock the door once they left. The lock also offers temporary/permanent pin code for others to open using that.
– I like the fingerprint feature most as you can just hold the lock with your thumb and twist it to unlock the door.
– The app also has some good features like battery level, event records. As per the simpled website, I should be able to unlock the door 100 times since it warns me battery is low.
The Bad
– You will need about 3.5 cm space from the cylinder to the door frame for the door to close properly. I measured my door but later realise that it get stuck on the door frame. So I would advise measuring when the door is closed and from outside to see if you have about 3.5 cm space from the cylinder to the door frame. So I returned my black one and order the silver one which is 2.5cm in diameter.
– This lock isn’t water-resistant. This means that if your door handle is exposed to rain/water, I would say go for the silver lock from Simpled.
– I have seen on Simpled website (when searching them on google), the battery life is about 12 months, I can’t confirm but the battery compartment being outside will affect battery life to some degree. It comes with four AAA Alkaline batteries though.
Nutshell
– Despite some limitations, I think this lock has a great value proposition as it is full of features, has UK-based customer support, and has a 24-month warranty.
My welock which was very simular failed so I purchased WAFERLOCK C760 Euro Smart Cylinder, Smart Lock, IP68 Waterproof which was a lot more expensive than the simpled ,I returned that within 1 hour as most features could not be used simultaneously.this new lock is amazing ,easy to use and very good quality .I would recommend this lock over there others any day
Bought for home office. Replaced the original lock with a euro lock so this would fit. Once that was installed, installation of the lock was easy, found removing the battery cover a little tricky, required a screwdriver to prise off.
Initial lock looked very well built but seemed to work intermittently, customer support via WhatsApp was great and quickly sent a replacement and collected the original.
Very happy with the lock and would buy from this company again due to the responsiveness of their support team.
I must be getting old or this has really poor instructions (or both). Found it really difficult to follow instructions but now it’s on it seems to work really well. I could probably fit another one in a couple of minutes now I know what I’m doing as it isn’t difficult at all. Crying out for a couple of good clear YT videos taking you through installation and operation. Have fitted on garage door – not confident enough yet with smart locks to have on main house but seems really well constructed. Have set up for phone, fingerprint and fob access – all easy to do and seem to work well. Now it’s fitted, it does everything I was looking for. Very early days but well satisfied with what I’ve seen thus far.
I did one thing, and I recommend you make sure about this measurement before your purchase, too. It’s the size between the cylinder hole and the door edge from outside to ensure it’s as told.
One more point is that I didn’t first buy their WiFi bridge. It works perfectly fine without it, but that comes in handy as it enabled me to manage the lock remotely, like checking when my guests entered the property. Or now I can delete a passcode remotely without needing to be near the lock.
I don’t use alexa or google home. So I have no idea about them.
Apart from not caring keys anymore, the app is quite useful, shared a temp pass with the delivery and for the first time didn’t miss it. If you’re living in an apartment, expect having so many conversations about it with your neighbours.
