Who can use the Big Shot?
The Big Shot die-cutting and embossing machine is the perfect tool for a wide range of creative pursuits. With a 6†(A5) wide opening, the Big Shot cuts shapes and intricate designs in a matter of seconds. With hundreds of designs in the Sizzix product library to choose from, this machine is the perfect tool to cater for every kind of crafter, from beginner to expert.
What Sizzix products can you use with the Big Shot?
The Big Shot machine and it accompanying die or folder, is made for use with the Sizzix product library including Bigz, Thinlits, Framelits, Textured Impressions, Texture Fades and Impresslits Embossing Folders, with the exception of dies and embossing folders wider than 6†(A5). Empowering creativity, the Big Shot has the ability to die-cut and emboss a multitude of materials, from cardstock and vellum to leather and mat board.

This includes the chosen material you want to cut, selected dies, Big Shot machine of choice, tools such as the Paper Sculpting Kit and glue gun and any embellishments you may want along the way! With hundreds of designs to choose from in our extensive product library, you will find a die for every project and occasion, from basic shapes and animals, to alphabets and intricate designs. | Make Your SandwichMake the perfect Sizzix sandwich by placing your chosen die and your chosen material such as cardstock between your cutting pads and place on top of your platform, following the instructions printed on the platform. If you are using a Bigz die then you will not need a platform, instead just simply create a Sizzix sandwich with your two cutting pads, die and chosen material, such as cardstock, fabric and leather! | Lets Get CuttingTime to get cutting! Simply feed your sandwich through your machine by turning the handle and be met with your beautifully cut design on the other side in a matter of seconds. Love my big shot! It’s so handy and easy to use. Maybe a little heavy but I don’t mind that. Cutting out images with the dies is so much faster than by hand and any embossing I’ve done so far has turned out beautifully.

I bought the plus because I had previously had the baby big shot, and the big shot pro. The pro was lovely but too big. The original great but too small. I think the plus may just be the goldilocks version – just right! With the handle off, it just fits in a Really Useful 18l box, with a high lid, which is great for storage purposes.

For any bow makers looking to upgrade from handcutting, i really do reccomend a big shot plus, its a game changer! Dies do get expensive but theres many facebook craft destash pages that sell them cheaper! And its 100% worth the money if your beginning to build a customer base!

Fantastic little press, sturdy, well made and easy to use. I’m using it for intaglio printing as an alternative to a bigger more expensive press – but it’s perfect for small A5 prints.
