Side stepping the retro stylist look of the smeg range, the question is does this product deliver. In my experience this is a great upgrade of my former Nespresso milk frother. Previous experience of such units has been the milk over flowed the container or the milk never felt hot enough. This product boast an excellent liquid capacity and the standard setting provide a suitable hot product. The two magnetic whisk attachments are easily interchangeable and allow for easy cleaning of the jug.
The machine can whip up a mean frothing hot chocolate, I use powder and all I can say is read the instructions.go steady when introducing the power and it’s a doddlerush and well expect the whisk to stop.
On the milk froth functions you have the option of a light or dense froth both are superb.
I am loving this product the only downside I am drinking a lot of coffee now

I bought this to replace my Nespresso Aerocino 4 (which is still an excellent device in combination with Nespresso Vertuo system), but this SMEG device is like dialling up to 11. Bigger capacity, easier to clean and also capable of making hot chocolate (a definite plus).

This is the best, very easy to use and clean, great for frothing cold milk for shakes, hot chocolate mode brilliant, has warming function with no froth and 2 settings for warm froth, we have no complaints whatsoever, looks nice too and is so quiet when operating, does not take long to operate

Fantastic. Expensive but wonderful. Bought for hot chocolate. Heats really well and blends all powder and makes a creamy hot chocolate even when I’m using skimmed milk.

Firstly, this heats the milk Indirectly in a removable vessel, so you never get burnt milk forming on the bottom. In my experience direct heater/frothers leave the milk on the hot heating surface when it switches off which just about always results in burnt milk forming on the bottom. Secondly, this has a manual setting so, if the presets are not hot enough for you, you can heat the milk to however hot you like. Thirdly, it is really easy to keep clean and, additionally all the parts (Apart from the motor housing) can go in the dishwasher. Sure it is expensive, but I tried a couple of cheaper alternatives that were more nuisance than they were worth, I am sure we all have better things to do rather than trying to remove burnt milk from the heating surface after just about every use.

It just arrived today (a day early)and it has been tried out 3 times. Excellent product, the frothy milk has a great texture all the way thru. Every bit as good as a shop bought coffee.
