I wanted a small fountain to aerate a small water feature.
I have never used a solar fountain before but was pleasantly surprised by this product. Ok, when the Sun is obscured by clouds it does reduce its spray , , ( fitting a rechargeable battery would solve that ).
    A fun purchase.

Always buy these pumps can never complain…. only one this is when the solar system as enough power I personally thing it should run for as long as possible. But brilliant for having a small wildlife pont for frogs..not so great for fish…. tried to upload pic but said not correct forma

Like I said, the best thing I purchased in 2022. Works in surprisingly little sunlight. Every now and then the motor gets a little clogged up from plant debris but a quick run under the tap and the thing works. The wires are out an exposed. Still works. Absolutely amazing. The only sad thing a pigeon stole part F.. still works but part F makes it work much better.

Using as a pump for a small waterfall, but is equally as good as a fountain. The cable is adequate, but where have sited the solar panel could do with an extra 2 metres length to get full sun for most of the day. Unable to source an extension cable ye

I bought this to replace the mains pump included with a wall-mounted lion’s head fountain, as I didn’t want a long run of mains cable along my wall and prefer low-voltage solutions outdoors where possible anyway. It’s perfect for small projects like this.

I had to splice in extra cable (basic ‘bell wire’ intended for low-voltage applications) to mount the solar panel on a roof away from some big shade trees, which involved removing the water- resistant screw connectors and soldering in my own. Once set up it works great in either sunny or ‘bright hazy’ conditions, providing a steady, constant stream of water via an approx 18″ flexible tube from the fountain’s sump to its outflow.

Just be aware that the lack of an integrated battery or charging circuit means that it won’t pump water on dull days. Its not like a solar calculator that can make use of whatever light is available.

I did have it running off a 9v battery for testing so it may be possible to connect it to some sort of rechargeable cell for use when the sun isn’t shining, though im not sure the little panel included outputs enough to charge a battery and run the pump simultaneously. I’m quite happy with the solar panel as I only sit out on nice days anyway!

Have had a lot of fun with this over the past few days. It’s really good for the money, small, but very easy to set up. We have consistently had half a meter’s spout while the sun’s been out full. Inevitably at dawn and dusk it veers towards intermittent squirts more reminiscent of a geyser.

I had a previous model of this that stopped working after about a year. I bought this one as a replacement and it worked, and still works perfectly. When I removed the old pump I gave it a good shake and poked the pump vanes with a sharp pencil and it has been working ever since. (The polite one is Murphy’s law). I now have two pumps working in my pond.

I wanted a small pump to power a water feature in a galvanised water tank and this pump is ideal. It is small enough to be inconspicuous but big enough to create a bubble effect or a fountain. It is excellent that it’s solar powered, so no trailing cables or plugs to manage. A very good product at a good price

Well what can I say….. I am more than pleased with this solar pump that was bought to replace the original electric one because we no longer could access main electric. I wondered if it would be powerful enough to operate the feature in its original way but it’s more than powerful enough for the job. Yes it requires full sunlight , but enough was mentioned about this in the descriptions of the item but even on less than bright days it gives a steady trickle to fill the bucket eventually to tip. I’m sure the item could also be used to create an individual water feature anywhere where good sunlight is available to the panel. I did also tape a small garden peg to the back of the panel to secure in the ground but it works quite well propped up in the empty heavy plant pot.

It comes in a tiny box but is actually a lot better than you initially think. We put it in our pond with the spout just under the surface and it works brilliantly in the sunlight. It amuses us when there is partial cloud as it quite often spurts so we cheer it when it comes on fully and this is actually better as you notice it more rather than it blending into the background. Occasionally you need to clear the suction of algae but that is very easy.

System works however you may want to use a different power source as the solar panel is quite weak.

The pump was very small which was perfect for what I wanted. It pumps away merrily as soon as the sun hits the equally small solar panel. The panel has nothing to fasten it up with ( I used a plastic tie). Quite long cables were very practical.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have wanted a fountain for ages but my husband didn’t want the expense of plumbing etc. I’d looked at solar fountains but never saw one that I liked enough to buy. During lockdown, I saw a short video on making a small fountain and decided to make my own. I was pleased to find this inexpensive small solar kit.
There doesn’t have to be a lot of sun for the fountain to function. There is no way of controlling the height of spray and on windy days the spray goes over the side. I could disconnect the panel, but I just try to keep an eye on it and retop up.
It is lovely sitting in the garden on a warm day and hearing the refreshing sound of water

Update 30th June, 2021. I stored my pump during winter and it worked fine when I put it back in the bowl. Unfortunately, bits from nearby hedge kept getting into the bowl and despite clearing them out the pump stopped working. I rinsed it but this time nothing happened. I was disappointed and looked through at other pumps, all looking similar but more expensive than this one. One showed instructions on taking apart. Well, it wasn’t working so I couldn’t break it. Sure enough, it came apart. I cleared a few small bits out but was unconvinced I had solved the problem. I put it back together and tested it. It worked! I’m delighted to have the sound of water back in my garden.

Nice little product that works well. An on/off switch would be useful and the suction pads are useless really when you consider the pump is only about 5 or 6 cm in size and the spout is equally short. When it shines it is very nice to hear and see and works well.

Arrived on time. Well packaged. Easy assembly. Great power. As with all these pond pumps the spray pattern is far to high and wide for the use I put them to. I use them in bird baths to for sound and vision effects. I find that by sealing all the outer ring of holes and opening the centre to 6mm I get a jet about 150 to 200mm high. Careful placement ensures that the water falls back into the bath. I use a small clear plastic box just big enough to fit the pump in. Drill a series of holes in all 4 faces 24 in all near base to allow water in to feed pump but keep muck away from pump intake. Weigh down with a pebble. Works well for me.

For such a tiny package I was very impressed! It is very easy to install and use but please ensure you have read the instructions and understand that there is no power storage with this fountain and as is clearly stated in all the literature this only works in direct sunlight. If you are aware of this I don’t think you will be disappointed. The kit comes with 4 different sprinkler heads for different water flows and heights which I love as I can change it every few days as and when I like. Also make sure you don’t put the solar panel in the water! Everything is explained in the manual so happy days . This pump is ideal for a small pond or a small garden decoration. I also like the sellers 100 percent satisfied guarantee where if you are not satisfied with their products or the quality of their products they are more than happy to provide satisfactory solutions with you. I’ve only had the product a few days and it is winter. It seems to me that the solar panel must be in direct sunlight for it to work. The pump must be fully submerged under water, but it can’t be placed too deep into the water otherwise all you get is a little ripple rather than a fountain effect. I’ve placed mine on a brick to elevate the pump. It would be better if the product had an on/off switch.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersThis little pump is brilliant. Had to drain a 6000litre above ground pool, which the manufacturers, in their infinite wisdom did not include a draining plug at the bottom, but rather put it halfway up the wall, and the pool pump that came with does not have enough power to pump water from the bottom of the pool and over the 1meter high side.
The last time I drained it took 6 hours of back breaking bucket work. This time I got clever and bought this little beauty.
1/10th the price of a sump pump that would have left 10cm of water in the pool, I simply attached a hose to the pump, dropped the pump into the pool, turned it on, and went to watch tv. Drained the pool in under 5 hours, and only left about 2 cm of water in the pool. Plucky little thing. And the attached led light amused my wife no end, very pretty.
Very impressed with this. Bought it for draining the pool, but will now build a little pond and fountain to put this in.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBrilliant tiny little solar pump. Has been bubbling away all summer and even tries when the sun isn’t really out. It works on direct sunlight i. e doesn’t store power. Comes with various fountain effect attachments but I have mine placed in a small Waterlily tub and the larger higher attachments sprayed water beyond the tub. So I just use the pump without any attachments and it acts like a bubble fountain. I love it and would thoroughly recommend.

works well in direct sunlight for a small solar panel but needs to be out completely out of shade and fully facing the sun. Perhaps we should have paid a bit more and bought one with a battery back up, but still works fine under the above conditions

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI can’t fault it for the price, it goes like the clappers in full sunlight, pity it doesn’t have some storage capacity as the slightest shadow will stop it dead may try and wire in a battery. I put it in bird bath and due to the 14″ or so jet and a slight breeze it lost all the water within an hour, had to modify the spray head to reduce the height of the jet. would work best in a wider water container.

UPDATE–After 11 months the pump has expired, disappointing as it was a great little pump when running.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersSmaller than anticipated but still works well. Only does anything in full sun although have found that it reacts quicker the more sun in a day that it has received. It doe not have any battery storage but it did say that in the description. In full sun the height of the fountain stream it can create is about 50/70cm and is silent. Does what I wanted it to do. The length of cord supplied could be a bit longer but does reach about 1.5m. If longer you could place solar panel further away which would be useful if you have a feature near the borders and want to be able to catch the sun away from the shadow of fences or planting.
