    Very happy
The panel is directly to my roof instead of the brackets that it came with even though the brackets and fixtures seemed adequate. I have heard this running for a week. With a compressor fridge running 24-7 On a standard car battery at first for a week. With no issues still hadd at least 12 votes in the morning.

The packaging and speed of delivery was excellent.

Good basic kit , fitted easily, only issue was short battery leads meant controller had to be positioned low down , time will tell if controller lasts , if I need to upgrade I will increase length of battery cables

Robust and comparable to other brands
Arrived appropriately packaged and in perfect condition. Product itself is comparable to other popular brands that I have bought previously. Robust and works well. Long length of cables supplied is useful.

Seems to be excellent panel easy to fit and secured by heavy bolts. Would be better to drop the controller and just sell the panel as I have upgraded anyway to a lithium controller as the one included doesn’t support the run of the mill lithium ion battery.

    Reasonable price
The panel was delivered in good condition , well packed.
it was fairly easy to install but i did have to get an adhesive and different screws. the fixing screws were poorly manufactured, a self tapping screw that didn’t feel secure when fitted, basically it didn’t go tight before the thread slipped..
all the other parts were good with a good length of cable. I had several feet spare.
Not a bad price, just a small problem for the fixings, i think most people that buy this intending to fit it themselves would overcome the issue.
I have fitted it to the roof of my campervan.

I installed a single 100w panel on top of my summer house and wired it up with a 12v rechargeable battery, all is working great and I can have 3-4 usb devices working at the same time, very pleased with the product and price and planning to add a 2nd panel in the near future.

Had a remote garage built near house but mains supply not easy to connect. But need power for 6 tube led lights and to charge garden and power tools. Already had pure sine inverter working with 12v 110amp battery. This kit had everything I needed for easy installation and within 2 hours connected to battery and charging. I tested over 2 weeks the charge stage and float voltage with fluke meter and fitted a spare 12v bluetooth battery monitor I had spare for 24/7 monitoring and no issues found. Have also used usb connections. It keeps charged battery for 120 watts of LED tube lighting and various tool chargers in garage when i am in there. I even used it to top up mine and wifes car batteries using a smart charger. Very pleased with this kit with cables which are plug and play basically, all ends made ready to connect, and parts to fit panel to my metal garage roof.

Bought this kit to charge the starting batteries on my 7.5ton truck. The batteries were flat from no use over winter, fitted this up and within 3 days of overcast weather and it has charged the batteries enough to start the truck. Going to keep this in place permanently to prevent future flats

Does exactly what it’s supposed to
Brought for my boat and installed to the roof, only issue is that there was no brackets to mount the solar panel, but saying that I had fixed in place by siliconing around the sides to the roof and it’s solid. This keeps my leisure battery charged so I have peace of mind knowing my belge pump has always go power.
    Brilliant product for the price!

Great piece of kit, I needed a solar panel for my campervan, to top up batteries whilst off grid, easy to install, value for money, like the charger just right size and display is good..
Took my 3 hours to install, just plan your cable route and have the right tools, I also installed a fuse and cut off switch, an extra if I need to work on the system again.

    Keeping my car battery charged
I purchased this lit to keep my Ford Focus battery from going flat when the car isn’t being used for several days. So far this kit is doing its job and charging the battery even on cloudy days. I have the solar panel on my front dash and its seems to have no problems getting enough light to enable a charge to the battery. I did have to rig up some quick disconnects to the supplied cables and run them past the door seals and through a gap to the engine bay, and so avoid drilling holes. This works for me and so far no water ingress during rain, so I will keep things like this for now. The only part of the kit I can complain about is the solar charger LCD display as its impossible to read outdoors during daytime, even when shaded from direct sun.

This unit is very well made. I found the Customer Service Department excellant in sorting out a problem I had and got the unit up and running perfectly in days. All components are extreemly well made and the unit was very easy to get up and running with just 4 connections these being from the Solar panel and the battery it was charging.

It looks a pretty decent bit of kit but due to the weather I am unable to test it properly, I’m rather disappointed that it doesn’t come with a mounting bracket for the solar panel even though there is a picture of one in the instruction manual.

Trickle charging a dumper that isn't used regularly
Works like a charm. Have it on the roof of the dumper with the controller under the roof. The cables did break at one stage but we are down by the sea and it is out in the open 365 days a year. Before fitting this we were always jump starting the dumper as we don’t use it that often. Now it starts every time on the button.

    Working nice
It would be 5 stars if it had connectors so you can just plug it in and unplug when you don’t need it. Like this, with just wires to screw in and out every time, especially when you have to follow the instructions, battery first then solar panel than load than opposite when you want to disassemble… Not practical at all, since is not something you will mount and leave it stationary. Otherwise, tried it and its working fine even if its cloudy, gives out 12.6V. One more thing, on PWM it is written MUNE instead of MENU

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSolar panel
This item replaces a flexible panel which failed, intensive research by a family member revealed that a common fault withe the flexible panel was overheating and the monocrystalline allowed air to travel below the panel, there fore reducing the overheating. I am very pleased with the purchase, as a keen caravanner there is no need to carry a heavy
    generator.
Thank for speedy delivery of an excellent product, value for money as nothing other then adhesive to buy.

Simple to install and set up
Purchased to replace a smaller 10 watt unit that had packed up which I used to keep the battery topped up on my motorcycle that is kept in a unit without any power supply. I set the system up and connected a 110 ah leisure battery to the controller to take the power from the solar panel and then wired a link with a suitable connector to match the Oxford Optimiser type plug, already on the bike. No more flat battery on the bike, it now starts first push of the button. I put the leisure battery in place for adding a pure sine inverter at a later date.
    Very pleased with my purchase

Great value, neat controller, easy to setup
I use this to keep an old sports car ‘topped up’ as it’s in a garage with no mains. It’s doing a great job so far, despite some trees around the location.
The unit is easy to set up, good instructions, some neat features on the controller.
I would have preferred longer leads from the solar panel itself, not sure if extending them is an option (voltage drop?) but I’d imagine decent quality DC wiring would work.

This solar panel keeps car battery charged
Previously used a 10w solar panel to try and prevent car battery going flat but still had starting issues due to the battery power being too low.
So decided to upgrade to a more powerful solar panel, this one has a power controller which can be fixed in a permanent position, i haven’t done but its necessary to place it in a position with air to keep it cool ,which is easy and so far no further battery or starting issues, so i’m happy with my purchase and can recommend.

Was pleasantly surprised on the quality and the length of cable you get from the solar panel I’ve installed this in a trailer and it’s perfect I have a cool box wired into the load side of the controller so it runs off to solar panel when the Sun is out then everything else is run of the leisure battery it works perfect it’s nice to have all of the brackets and fixings but it’s a shame it does not come with the waterproof junction box to get cables inside your trailer or motorhome had to buy separate

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersNice simple solar charging ki
Bought this kit to power a few simple 12 volt led strips to light a small garage without mains power. They panel is quite small but it seems enough to top the battery up with my useage being fairly light. I used an old car battery which slowly looses charge but the solar kit seems to keep it topped up. Quite easy to install and the control panel is a nice small size. I haven’t tried the usb outputs but I can’t see why they won’t work. I use the lighting circuit on the control panel so you use that to switch the lights on and off.

Golden Review Award: 114 From Our UsersYep, buy this one.
There are many ludicrous claims made for solar panels, particularly on eBay and often on Amazon too. This one does what it’s supposed to. I’ve been testing it for a month now, with no problems.

There are two main problems with the descriptions found on other products. First, you have to understand that the voltage coming off a solar panel varies. If you’re using it to charge a battery, you need the voltage to be correct and therefore you NEED a regulating controller. This has one – a very common one – and it works just fine. If you don’t have a controller, don’t use it for charging a battery whatever it says in the advert.

Secondly, the claimed power output of some of the panels breaks a few fundamental laws of physics. This one says it’s 10W, and it is 10W.

I will probably write up the maths in my blog, but basically size matters. A 50W panel would have to be five times the size of this 10W panel, and if it’s not, someone’s telling porkies. There’s no way around this – the efficiency doesn’t vary that much and there’s no magic way to get high current from a small panel.

A 10W panel like this will give you up to an amp to charge a car or leisure battery. That’s a good maintenance charge. And this set is good value.

You’ll find instructions for the controller on the web. As I mentioned, it’s a very common model – safety in numbers. All you really need to do is connect the wires (supplied) to the panel, battery and whatever you’re powering (i.e. six wires) and it gets on with it. There’s a display to show you what’s going on once you’ve figured it out, and various display modes, but you really only want to know whether its charging or not, and that’s the default.

I’ve given the product three stars, because solar panels require some knowledge of electricity to set up. You’ll need screwdriver. It took me five minutes to get it working.

I’m trying to charge a “dead” Bosch S4 008 battery in my wife’s Mercedes A Class that has not been driven for 6 weeks. I followed the instruction and connected it up which was convenient in my case as the battery is under the driver’s footwell in this car. When I connected the battery to the charge controller it displayed 8.8v which to my understanding is very low and possibly a dead battery. After about 20 minutes it went up to 9.5v in peak sun. I went out to check it a couple of days later but was dissapointed to find it was still reading 9.5v however this measurement was taken in the evening with not much power coming from the panel v.s. the 9.5v in bright sun on day 1. Now… today I went out again in the peak sun this time and noted it was displaying 11.5v so it seems the voltage measured is affected by the output of the solar panel. Maybe I should take measurements with the solar panel turned upside down or something for consistency. I plan to leave it for several more days and hopefully the battery voltage will have improved. The battery is 74AH (888Wh) so I think theoretically if that panel was able to output a full 10W (which I think is unlikely) it would take 888hours to fully charge or 89 days at 10 hours a day. I’m pretty sure it’s not intended for this purpose though and my plan is to hopefully give it a boost from the alternator once it has enough power to start…

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersA great starter kit, but you do need to buy 12v battery for it to work.
I’m learning about solar energy while also looking at how much I waste electricity. I’ve found this solar kit to be an excellent start on my journey. You do need to buy a 12v battery. One I purchased is a Duracell 12v and it works along side the panel while connected to the controller. Without a battery you’re not going to get anywhere. It’s early days and the battery arrived charged, but the panel is topping up the battery and the USB ports have been charging my battery banks too. Please try to make sure your aimed South on a compass with the sun on the panel. Solar sun peaks ar around 10-11 am, This panel is picking the sun still in the evening while inside through the window. I don’t know for sure how much is being charged and it could be a few weeks to know how well my system works, it’s a start, and this kit is flawless for a beginner.
