I’ve had these for about 9 months now. I ordered 4 (2 for my bedroom and 2 for the living room. I had to request a replacement for 1 because it wouldn’t link. I recently recharged them for the first time. I have them set to automatically open in the morning and close at night. My ceiling in the living room is 13′ high. I originally had 4 sets of blackout curtains in the living room because of the width of my sliding doors, but the weight was too much for the robots. So I switched the inner panels for sheer ones. They kind of give it an ombre affect, so I can live with it. But I wish they were strong enough for the longer heavier panels. When you have a long extension rod, you have to make sure the bot is just tight enough for the smaller rod but not too tight for the thicker rod. Also, the metal clip they give you for the rod didn’t work for me. I made my own transition out of paper and tape. You can barely tell it’s there.

Super Teile, dadurch bekommen meine Pflanzen jeden Tag Licht. Vorausgesetzt ich lade die Teile auch auf. Muss man so alle 2-3 Monate 1 mal aufladen. Ist brigens so laut, das man normalerweise auch von Wach wird, selbst im langsameren Modus.

This was awesome for about 3 days. It seems to do what it wants. Sometimes it opens, sometimes only a foot. It’s incredibly unreliable and disappointing. The potential is for it to be super amazing – but it’s not quite there yet. Meh.

    ****UPDATE****

The seller/company contacted me and were incredibly helpful, polite, and professional (never asked me to change my review or tried to sell me anything). Told me how to request a firmware 4.4 upgrade to through the app (Profile > Firmware Recovery). That really helped! Now my bot works much better. I’m glad bc I’m not interested in buying smart hubs or any add-ons. I use this one bot for one curtain to help me wake up w/sunlight in the morning – and it does just that. I’m much happier with my purchase now!

This product will help me open the curtains at sunrise every day, so that I can let the sunrise wake me up, and the battery can make this product last for a long time, you don’t need to charge frequently

Was at first unsure if this would work!
It would be better value if Amazon sold the two robots as part of a combi pack like on SwitchBots own website but alas .
Decided to try these in my Son’s bedroom which is a Bay Window.
Changed the rail to a wall mountable ‘I’ rail and used 2 of the bots for that rail and it works nicely.
Going to do 2 other bays very soon.
The app connection to the bots is bit confusing for cloud control but got there eventually.
Value for money, not great but now its done, all good.

The button is very well designed and looks really good and sleek.
At present you can’t connect it to and smart voice services so you’re stuck with it triggering switchbot devices.
Just one device can be controlled with each button. They really need to let you control scenes.

If you have 2 switchbot curtains in the same room. One to open the left and the other the right curtain you’ll need to have set them up initially as a pair to be able to open and close them with a single switchbot button.

This is an amazing robot. I never thought I could easily automate my blinds in my home but this robot has done it. Pairing it to the app was super simple and the initial set up was well thought out and straight forward. There are tons of ways and situations that this is robot can be set up and it guides you through all of those in the app. I did find if that I had to use the included metal piece to make the extension part of the rod a slope which it could ride on, I am glad they included that! I highly recommend this to all of my family and friends.

For some reason Amazon rated this as being able to be paired with Alexa however I’ve been trying to for a week nothing has worked. Okay so it’s been sometime now apparently it needs a couple days to make the account linkable I apologize for the miss informatio

I love the convenience of these curtain pulls. These products are of great quality but pricy. At this time I am using one in my living room and one in my dining room with all the panels connected. I would prefer to have two for each room so that curtains can part in the center, but for the price, it is not worth it for me. Perhaps later, if the price comes down or more features are added I will consider making an additional purchase. The great thing about these Switch Bots is their versatility and ease of use. I look forward to more from this company in the future.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks just fine with grommets. Annoying you can’t connect to Alexa without the $40 box purchase too but I guess companies gotta get their money. But other than that, I love having this open my windows in the morning on a timer.

I ordered 2 of these for my bedroom curtain (grommet curtains), and am very pleased. I have an expanding curtain rod and the one side does hiccup a little on that spot when closing but I live with it. The app lets me schedule the opening and closing time. My curtains I would say are a little heavy so the bots do have to work hard to move, but they get it done everyday. The battery life is excellent on these, one charge and they are lasting longer than I thought, haven’t recharged yet and they are at 88% right now. They are very loud when working, slept right though them opening one morning.

They work good, but make sure you have a hub next to each one! Battery life is great!

I had to make sure the connection was quite snug, but it worked well for my telescoping curtain rod with the included metal sticker connector. the app is great too, very happy.

I always used to think that smart curtains were something only a pro could install, however these little mini robots literally just clip straight onto the curtain pole

I have mine on a normal pole with curtains mounted through ring, it sits behind the curtain around the pole and inches itself back and forth over the pole pulling the curtain with it as it goes. I also decided i needed to add on the solar panel itself in order to never have to charge up the curtain robot again. The panel keeps it topped up, although you do need to make sure it has a charge first time round it still charges it even in English weather.

The only issue i have found is the fact that it’s so discreet and doesn’t need touching so you tend to forget about it and ignore it, however i now find myself annoyed that i have to open the blinds at the front of the house by myself…i need more robots.

With the fact that it is smart, i have it set through IFTTT to close when the sun goes down and open up when it comes up, maximising the sun in the house whilst also keeping out the cold. i can also ask google to close the curtains for me at any point too. You will need the hub in order to do this yourself though.

I purchased these had some difficulty getting them to work correctly but ended up purchasing hockey tape which I put along my curtain rail and now my happy curtains are able to be pushed along with the switchbot curtain calibration is a bit of a pain but once that is done works fine

What can I say about these, although they are not strictly necessary. But as part of a Smart Home setup, they certainly add to it

I personally like the fact that my curtains open up in the morning for me, helps me to wake up

Awesome product. Works really well for all curtain types. I just needed an additional accessory for grommet curtains as it was
Struggling to pull it along due to friction.

    Works flawlessly

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWorks fine with a bit of ingenuity, the extra clips and plastic tape are needed on thick rods to stop the eyes binding on the rod. Ended up stapling the curtain crease above eyelet to stop the eye rotating , opens and closes fine now , started with a needle and thread but gave up and just used the staple gun! Not noticeable and s as lot less grief

Needed a bit of fettling to work

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis product was super simple to set up, took me less than 5 minutes from unboxing to finish configuration.

It has a number of great use features – I like to schedule the curtains to open at sunrise and close at sunset. Pairing with other devices I can also close them if it gets a bit cold!

I use Homebridge that appears to have a plug-in created by SwitchBot to use it with HomeKit but it has Siri Shortcuts that work just as well if you prefer a low code approach.

The pull to close method is also useful if multiple people in the house have differing approaches to how they interact with tech.

The battery seems to last several weeks, but I’m tempted by the solar charger add on so that it can take care of itself.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to smarten up their home, I’ve already invested in another one.
