Once you figure out Thursday's unique size chart the boots are great! I ordered a size I normally wear for everything and they were too big. My mistake for not reading how their boots are a half size smaller. Got the new size in the mail and they fit great.

Great boots, this is my 3rd pair. Their website says order 1/2 to 1 size smaller, but I found them true to size and when I got even 1/2 size smaller, they were too small. These boots hold up very well compared to any of my other boots.

Bought these for my wedding and I will definitely be wearing them for more than just the wedding. They fit snug, and were pretty comfortable after several hours of wearing and walking. No complaints at all.

Good looking boots had to send back a men’s 9 1/2 pair cause they were too big. Reordered 9 fit perfectly. Just as a reference I wear 9 1/2 in chuck Taylor, 9 in Redwing Iron Rangers. Great footbed and solid construction so far. Still breaking them in.

These boots are stylish and are at an affordable price (compared to their competitors). I ordered a half size smaller than my sneaker size and the boots fit perfectly lengthwise while the width was comfortably snug. So far, I’ve had two issues with these boots. Some loose threads (especially on the instep of the left boot) and the laces on one boot tore in two places while the laces on the other boot are about to snap as well. Otherwise, I would have given these boots 5 stars!

Extraordinary Craftsmanship. I have never received so many compliments from the ladies...and gentlemen. Chicks seriously dig these boots!!! Just like with any new pair of shoes or boots, there is a break in period where you experience some discomfort, but after a few wears, they fit your feet like a glove.

I have shoes and boots ranging from 9 to 10 1/2. Most being 9 1/2 to 10. When half sizing down i tried the 9 and it was a bit too small. My suggestion is to take your average comfortable shoe and size half down like they suggest. Lesson learned. Also this is a great boot if your on the fence pull the trigger and try them out. You can always return if you don't care for them

These boots look fantastic and are pretty immediately comfortable at least compared to some other brand out there that have long break in periods. After just a couple days they felt great to wear. I would not expect these to be rugged boots that you can go hiking or do some work in, but these are nice comfy boots that have the right price point to craftsmanship you would want in an everyday or every other day office boot.

All over the United states and in every environment we have. Let me tell you, these boots are worth every penny and excel in expectations. I have worn them out to very nice restaurants and hiked 10 miles in them. they are perfect. I will buy these over and over again when and If ever needed.

These boots are what I was looking for. I'm a tall skinny guy and they don't look to clunky on me. Everyone says order a half size down, which I did and they fit good. A dressed up casual style boot. I ordered the olive but they look more chocolate brown. Still very nice color. I feel I paid a good price for a solid leather boot.

This is an amazing boot, I wear it dressed up or with some jeans/khakis and a flannel and look good. they fit really good I wear a 9 in sneakers like adidas but I got this boot in 8 1/5 and compared the soles together and they are the same size so defiantly go down half a size. I really loved this boot. Unfortunately, I had to return as they didn’t fit well. Started with 13 regular width, these were way to narrow and really hurt my feet. Returned an bought 13 wide. These were so wide my foot was sliding all over the place. Returned those as well. Disappointed as I really liked them!!!

No break in period at all. I got these and the first time I wore them was walking round London for 5 days. Had no issues at all.

Still, the company needs to spend more time on quality control so customers don't get defective products, and the company avoids losing money on defective shoes since transportation now is becoming a commodity.

This is a very nice boot , I normally wear a size 8 but bought a 7.5 which took some time to loosen up ,now fits a bit more comfortably.I wish I would have taken the size 8. It’s an excellent value for money and I will buy Thursday boot again . The black matte looks great.

If you live in the UK don’t size down. Order your true size. I usually wear a size UK 9 and know they fit as I already own a pair . I wanted another pair in a different colour so ordered a size 9 uk (us 9.5) and also uk 9.5 (us 10). Amazon sent me a US size 9 which equates to uk 8.5 by accident but I know it would be too tight from a previous purchase experience so there was no point of even trying them on. I kept the size 9.5 because these are slim fitting boots and I wanted just a little more room for thicker socks. If you have a slim/medium width foot buy your true size. If you have medium/wide width foot then go half size up; this will allow for a thicker sock in the winter. Either size will fit depending how much extra room you want. They do look brilliant; they have a very good profile/last and are very versatile and can go with either jeans or chinos/trousers. They are not too chunky but not as slim as some dress boots which I find too slim. The quality is okay. We are so spoilt in the uk as there are so many fine shoe brands from Northampton. I have boots from Loake, Barkers, Trickers etc and compared to these brands the quality is not as good when you compare the stitching and leather quality if you examine them side by side. I would rate the Thursday boots as 7 out of 10 and our UK Northampton brand boots between 8 to 10 depending on which model you buy. The creasing on Thursday boots are more noticeable when compared to our Uk boots. You can see more ripples on them. However for style and the way they look I rate the boots 9 or 10 as they are a really nice looking boots. I am just waiting for my refund and I will buy another pair in a different colour. I just hope this time Amazon sends me a UK size 9 which is what I ordered instead of a US size 9. I would condition the boots immediately to avoid the creasing ripple effect. Use a spray conditioner if you are buying the rough and rugged models. I also hope Amazon stock the other colours/model in the UK9 or UK9.5 as there is not much choice; Amazon please sort this out. I intend to buy more in other colours. The price is also reasonable compared our UK Northampton shoes and boots. I would wear the Thursday boots every day and Northampton boots on special occasions. Thursday boots are everyday boots that are comfortable, reasonable good quality, extremely versatile, very handsome. Every stylish man should have at least a Thursday Captain boots in their arsenal.

Accurate sizing, comfortable from Day 1.
If you follow the size guides they are accurate. They say to order a half size down from your sneaker size and that is accurate with me. For example, I wear 10.5 in all my runners and I ordered a 10 in these and the fit is spot on.
Very little if any break-in period. These are comfortable from day one. I walked 10km the first day in them and no blisters or hot spots. Can’t say the same as my Red Wing Iron Rangers that still aren’t as comfortable after 20 wears. Still love my Red Wings though!
In case anyone was curious, these fit identically in size as my Iron Rangers. Both in size 10.

This is my first pair of decent quality and stylish good year welted boots and I’m loving them. They’re warm enough with a pair of wool socks with the weather getting around freezing in Pennsylvania. They work well in both everyday casual and dressing up a little bit, I ordered the Arizona Adobe and they style great with my normal all black style. Unfortunately I can’t give this a top review based on what these boots are trying to advertised as a great foul weather boots. I was outside moving stuff around and stepped on our metal cellar door and the tread gave out and I’m pretty sure my tailbone is bruised. Lesson learned. Do not try to wear these in the rain and don’t even think about treading in snow unless you want to meet the same fate.

Good looking but small - Update
I looked at the Amazon reviews & reviews on Thursday Boots site for sizing advice and decided to go with my usual size UK 10 which is the size I take in Clarke’s, Barkers and Loake. Unfortunately these were too small, I’m going to re-order a half size up and update when they arrive…
Update: I went with a full size up to a UK 11 and they’re a much better fit although still snug for a UK 11 IMHO with my usual wool socks on.
They’re pretty comfortable straight out of the box and shouldn’t take too long to break in.
Edit: it seems they are a US 11 not the UK 11 so don’t buy according to your UK shoe size, go with the US sizing.

I debated buying these boots for a while and was doing a lot of research and reading reviews online. After getting them, not sure why I waited so long to be honest. I love these boots! Its immediately clear when you open the box that these boots are well made with quality materials. They feel sturdy and they have a beautiful leather smell. The boots fit like a glove and are true to size. I wear UK 11 (US 11.5 in Thursday), so I went ahead and ordered UK 11 and they’re perfect. They take a few days to break in and soften a bit but after that they are so comfortable. I’m not being precious with them. They can take a bit of a beating and look better for it. I’ve already ordered a second pair in a different colour. Can’t see myself going back to any other boot. Would highly recommend!

– Order a half size down. A 9.5 fits well when I usually wear a 10 in sneakers.
– Break-in is quick. Wore them for a couple quick trips to the grocery store, a little sore afterwards. Hit them with some waterproofing leather conditioner. Then wore for a night out with a lot of walking, felt perfectly fine afterwards.
– Construction is great, as comfortable a footbed as you’ll get on a leather boot.
I use swats alot, but didn't have something for fancy outings. Now I can wear boots to dinner, to a pub, anywhere fancy pansy. Matte looks great but have to clean often, with special conditioners and cleaners and sponges. Be prepared for that. If you just want to polish, don't go with a matte. Only thing that makes me disappointed is that the sole is not removable, as id love to put some expensive sole in there eventually as my feet have went through hell. Can tell if I was stranded somewhere I'd wish I had my swats. But if your feet havent been messed up they should be really comfy.

Beautiful workmanship in these boots. Perfect for me and so easy to slip and out of them.
Immediately impressed with these boots. Incredible leather smell. Foot slips into these easily and they feel so sturdy & comfortable immediately, I’m sure that will only get better as they break in.

Good but...
It’s overall a good pair, but pricy…To be honest, I wore capped-boots for years and no matter the 100$ pair I bought, they were as comfy as these 265$++ boots, so don’t buy them if you expect more than that.
As for the size, I usually wear 10,5 and I ordered 10 as it was suggested. It fits.
Also, I applied mink oil on the boots to waterproof and soften the leather as you should because leather tends to dry and crack over time.

The quality is good and these are comfortable boots but the shade of brown they use on the brandy boots does not look red-brown as the product images. I have shoes which are the same red brown as the product images so I know the shade is different because of editing. I do not like this tan brown colour personally. I am not sure it comes across well in my picture I uploaded because the lighting makes it look darker but in reality it is not as rich a colour. For reference, the red-brown I was expecting was closer to the tan “Ted Baker Larriy” brogues, if one wants to Google that.

Didn’t know what to expect when I ordered these from Amazon. I followed the advice and went down half a size over what I would normally buy. I ordered a UK 9.5 (US 10) and the fit for me was perfect out of the box, which was great. The other surprise was how little break in they required, almost none. I put them on and took the dog for a 2.5 mile walk with them on, and within about 10 minutes they felt like I’d had them for months. The footbed isn’t removable but the poron/ cork insole they use certainly works as well as any of my other boots. Quality wise they seem very good for the money so far. The leather is soft and breaks in really well, the lining is of good quality. The only thing I could see was one of the nails on the heel wasn’t punched down far enough, but so far that was it and an easy fix. Everything else, stitching, eyelets, sole etc. seem very well put together and the comfort so far has been extremely good. I walk about 10km a day and so far in the last 3 days, they have been near perfect, the heels showing little wear. I own a lot of boots some more than double the price, are these finished as well as my Trickers, Loake 1881 etc? Probably not, but for the price they are very good and significantly better than the Timberlands I own, which are a similar price range and slightly smarter. So far a good buy!

SIZE: I have always worn a Size 8 UK in all footwear – trainers, shoes, everything. I did a lot of research and deliberating about this “half size down” recommendation. It didn’t sit right with me to order a 7.5. So I went ahead and ordered my true shoe size 8 UK. I am so glad I did. They fit perfectly. Any smaller and they would have been too tight. Perhaps this is because I have slightly broad feet. QUALITY: I was nervous about the QC issues that I read about on here. Especially when spending so much money. But my boots arrived well packaged, brand new, with no major defects or QC issues. A couple of light marks on the Natural leather, but that is to be expected with leather. All-in-all I am very pleased with these boots right out of the box. I can’t comment on durability yet, as I’ve only worn them once.
So I had been looking for a pair of boots for a while due to starting a new job. You know you gotta look sharp for the new company. I did extensive research on different boot companies, craftsmanship, quality of materials, etc and Thursday boot company ticked all the boxes for me. Most, if not all of the leather they use comes from the horween leather factory in Chicago, which is some of the best quality leather. The boots construction uses traditional methods (using a 360 stitched welt) which allows for re soling at a cobbler when the sole gets worn out. Thursday is also a USA based company which only outsources some factories in Mexico and some in the United states. And the boots are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. You can tell these boots have been meticulously built to last. I ordered a half size down as instructed and the fit was perfect. As with all new leather I am currently breaking in the boots, but I can tell the break in period won’t be as long as most boots. I also conditioned the leather out of the box which helped a lot. The care for the boots is extremely easy as well, only a conditioner is necessary for healthy leather but depending on the style of leather this will differ. I am also using cedar shoe trees to keep the inside clean and free from smelling up the house. The new leather also smells amazing. For 200 dollars you’re getting some of the best bang for your buck I could find.
I got my usual size. I'm usually 11 in sneakers and 11 in palladium boots. I also am sometimes 11.5 and rarely 10.5. I told this information to a rep from Thursday and they recommended 11. They were gorgeous and just like the photo. Feel durable and high quality. Come well packaged. They definitely need a small break in period but after a few weeks they feel extremely comfortable and the leather doesn't crease too much so it looks nice and natural. I wear them as dress boots to my office almost daily and sometimes running errands right after work and no complaint. Only tip would be to wear mid to high socks because like I said, at first they might chafe or hurt your legs ( right under your calf) but, right after you break them in, they feel so awesome and it goes away, in my exp.
