Great alternative to ring doorbell
Easy setup but you do need to subscribe to monthly service if you want videos stored, otherwise it’s a great quality product, great 180 degree view, be aware though will need to connect to 2g network on router to work, will not work on 5g home network.
Doorbellm
I do love this product and the whole idea of seeing what is happening outside my house when I am not there, also the audio is very clear and the camera reach is quite wide, but I have encountered issues with this product, ie sometimes camera didn’t work, takes some time to show live feed instead of immediately and no notification that the doorbell was ringing which defeats the whole purpose of having this product!! But when it is working correctly it is brillia
Notifications very delayed.
Overall for the money this is a great video doorbell. Has some great features & the fact it comes with everything you need (including the ringer) is a bonus. The motion detection is very delayed. From the time the event occurs to the notification on your phone, logged into the app and viewed the video is the time it takes for someone to run off with your garden gnomes. At night the motion detection is not great unless the villain is stood very near the doorbell or you have an external light the brightness of a million candles. Saying all that, the picture quality is really good. Only other point I would like to raise is the sound quality. Unless the person is shouting or stood right next to the doorbell it’s very difficult to hear what they are saying.

This was easy to install and set up. It has a lot of functionality for the price and the link to your phone makes its really easy to monitor when you are at work or away. The fact that you can actually speak to the person on the doorstep via your phone is also really useful especially if it is a delivery,
Battery life is pretty good and it is easy to recharge. I cant really fault it.
As good as the dearer versions imho
Despite this product being faulty toucan replaced it within 24 hours and it is brilliant!! As far as I can tell it is as good if not better than the Ring doorbell. It is crystal clear picture day and night easy to communicate with callers and so far the battery is holding although from what I have read it will need to be charged every few weeks. I have set mine in low motion as I live in busy road and the traffic was forever notifying me of motion but now it is fine. It looks smart and is very easy to install. I would highly recommend.
CANNOT COMPLAIN HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Have had this for a week now and I love it! For someone who is not that great with technology this was so easy to set up and to manage via the app. The sound and picture/recording quality is incredible, motion detection is great even picks up the slightest movement you wouldn’t expect it to. The main test for me was speaking with a delivery driver while at the office to instruct where to leave my package, sound was very clea

Toucan Video Doorbell Cam
Great device! Easy to install, easy set up, great motion defection, good picture quality and everything you need to rival competitors. Only downside is to save videos for up to 7 days and allow access in multiple devices you need to pay a small monthly sub. Not going to break the bank, but it is an added expense that I wasn’t expecting. All in all though, 5 Stars
Not as bad as some people said
After unboxing, I went to download the app and that’s when I saw a lot of negative comments about the app performance which led me worry if I should return it. Then, at initial charging, the battery only stayed at 98% after a whole night and the app wasn’t able to update the doorbell neither. But I unplugged the charging cable on the next day and the app suddenly showed 100% of battery level and the device is also updated.
So, I didn’t see the need of returning it and started using it. Hope it will be alright from here on ou
Great smart doorbell at a great price
Pros:
+ Easy to use app
+ Motion Zones
+ Adjustable motion sensitivity
+ Great battery life. Our front door is 6ft away from a fairly busy road so before Toucan added Motion Zones, I was charging the doorbell every weekend as it was recording every car that drove by. Now that Motion Zones have been added, I have removed the road from the motion area and the battery life has more than DOUBLED! I am now charging every 2-2.5 weeks which is fine.
+ Adjustable chime sound and adjustable volume.
+ Adjustable LED indicator that lights up on the doorbell when it is pressed. This can be turned on/off.
+ Fairly regular updates/improvements from the Toucan team.
+ Very simple to install. The bracket needs a couple of screws, then the doorbell attaches to the bracket with a single ‘security’ screw on the bottom of the device.
Cons:
– Image quality is not amazing. I haven’t seen the images produced by Ring or other major competitors so can’t really compare them, but I don’t feel like a face could be accurately identified from Toucan Doorbell images. It would be good if Toucan added an image quality setting in the App to configure this. I suspect the quality is reduced by default to improve battery life.
– You have to pay a very small subscription fee (2.50 odd p/m) to keep recorded events past 24 hours.
– There is a very slight delay between pressing the doorbell button and the chime being played from the speaker box. This may be down to my WiFi, but both devices are fairly close to our router and the doorbell doesn’t complain about weak signal. Sometimes this results in visitors thinking the doorbell isn’t working, and knocking instead.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this doorbell, but try to get it on sale!

Have purchased this camera for my elderly mothers home. She lives alone, unfortunately youths of today have no respect for the elderly or their privacy. This camera gives me and my family a little more comfort knowing she has a bit more protection. The picture is crystal clear. Easy to use and install. Both myself and brother have access to the account so we can see who is approaching our mothers front door – god send for us highly recommend this camera.

Brilliant Item
I was sceptical to buy something other than Ring, but I dont like their cost implications. The Toucan is far superior, costs a fraction of the costs and also the monitoring costs are minimal! I only bought this to time capture events for our Hard Wired CCTV kit and 12 cameras – it has not disappointed us yet!
Forget about Amazon Ring!
I had low expectations after reading the reviews. I was initially looking for Amazon Ring but found it very complicated( drilling, WiFi connection, so many by products feeling like they just want to rip you off). Then I think maybe just give this product a try, but it turned out very well! It is super easy to install, no drilling needed! The adhesive provided is strong enough to hold the base Hence very easy to pull the bell off for charging. So far I charge once every 2 weeks which is fair for a wireless tool. The motion detect is also great. Only drawback is the picture quality… tbh it looks like the same image if I take off my 250 degree shortsighted glasses , but good enough for this price

Bought this for my parents & have it setup on both phones as well as the google home hub. To get it to work with google took around 5 mins. Installation took around 30 mins as we fixed the bracket to the door. Also comes adhesive pads to stick the bracket to the door but we went with the more secure option. Great picture quality & the audio works well also.
Easy to set up and does the job perfectly.
Super easy to install as came with sticky pads, I had it working and connected to the app all in around 15 minutes. I had to alter the sensitivity as the pavement is quite close but this was easy to do on the app. I’ve been having work done in my house so has been great for knowing who is at my house and when. I can also use it to accept deliveries when I’m working and can’t necessarily answer the door. Very happy with my purchase.
Super easy set up
Really easy to set up for us ‘non tecchies’. Works really well, great picture. Not only can I keep track of my deliveries when I’m not at home but I have the added security of being able to see who’s at the door before I answer it now the nights have gotten darker.

It was also easy to connect the devise to my Amazon Echo smart devises.
The instructions were a little lacking in some areas but on the plus side those things lacking in instruction are pretty intuitive.
Camera, micro phone and proximity sensor all good, just remember it needs a 2.4mz wifi connection rather than 5mz.
Been wanting to buy one of these Doorbells .Was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews good and bad .This Toucan Doorbell looked the best wasn’t as bulky as some ,and came with a battery chime I didn’t want a plug in chime .When the Doorbell arrived I downloaded the Toucan app and registered the Doorbell and my account .It was easy to set up to my virgin media hub 3 which is dual band so didn’t have to mess about with the 2.4ghz or 5ghz settings. The chime was easy to set up. I fitted the Doorbell with the Adhesive strips supplied and some super glue for extra grip .I didn’t want to drill through the new Upvc door. There is different settings in the app for motion sensitivity i’ve got ours on high So far the Doorbell has been excellent picking up any motion and sending the alerts to my mobile phone .Sometimes it takes a few seconds to load and watch the video footage. The colour picture quality in the daytime is excellent Night time is not as clear but for a small camera still picks everything important up .My other half has the app on her mobile so she can monitor as well . We have all so got it set up to our 2 alexa’s and they give you message when the doorbell is rung or movement has been detected. We usually leave our wifi on all the time, but by mistake turned it off one day .We had to remove the doorbell and reset it to the wifi again only a minor problem but could get on your nerves if it has to be reset each time the wifi is turned off. Apart from the minor niggles its done the job so far.
I love this. Although when the bell rings it doesn’t actually “ring” your phone it just sends a notification so be sure to set it to a different and louder sound to the likes of your messenger notifications etc or you won’t hear it. I like that my smart watch vibrates when it goes off incase I can’t have the sound on my phone.
I was really impressed with the view range as you can see in the video. The bell is facing my “shed” and I thought this would be all you could see but you can see whole drive and some of the street. The motion detection is OK but it is a bit slow to record an sometimes if the doors open the person can be in the house before it’s started recording and it can be a bit slow to see the live view when motion has been detected or bell rang so if you have an impatient delivery man he may have gone before you can speak to him, but that being said it’s probably down to our rubbish Internet connection. All in all I really like it an it gives me piece of mind especially nearer Christmas when parcels are being delivered. Plus I got it in the prime day deals so even better.

Fantastic and convenient doorbell. Very easy to install with minimal tools or fuss. The unit is attractive, modern and sleek with a crisp clear wide view camera that’s very responsive to movement and swiftly alerts my mobile of anyone outside or when anyone rings the bell. It’s very well built and is an overall quality doorbell that will add style and security to any home. This is a good product, easy to set up and with professional backup
This is a small, neat video doorbell. It is cheaper than many on the market but nevertheless offered everything I needed.
It was easy to install and set up. Indeed, it is somewhat narrower than some others so it fitted neatly to my front door frame. Set up was relatively idiot proof so even I managed it without a hiccup.
Had a power cut a couple of weeks later which removed my wifi and, as a result, the unit would not fully talk to my iphone. After running out of my own ideas to resolve the issue i contacted Toucan service dept and within an acceptable length of time all was working again.
I would highly recommend both the product and the company.
Brilliant picture
Its brilliant the camera on it is really clear and the best thing you do not have to have a contract with it like you do with some other item.
I love this! It arrived quickly and was easy to install. It so neat and wireless. There is a fantastic wide view from the lens and great quality sound. It was simple to link it to my phone. It is very convenient and makes me feel very safe. It has great features. I can see outside whenever I want not just when someone rings the doorbell. It has automated responses that can be used if I don’t want to speak! Brilliant!

I love my new Toucan video doorbell. The set up instructions were simple and easy to follow leading to an incredibly quick & easy installation. There was no drilling necessary, definitely a bonus for me as I’m not particularly confident using a drill, but the option (plugs & screws) is there if you do want to drill. The adhesive tape is easy to use and sticks firmly & effectively. The whole unit is wire free which is an excellent feature. The video quality is amazing day or night and I would highly recommend this product.

Bought this door bell after seeing it on the this morning program on tv. They showed different ones and in there opinion it was best value for money. I have to agree with them, easy to fit and set up and the video is really good and clear.
Great produc
I have not installed my device yet but it was recommended to me by a friend. Having see it in action it looks really good and is quite user friendly.
Only issue maybe the optional subscription, so you’ll only get 24 hours recorded data. Which if you have security cameras (like Blink XT2 as they are great) you don’t need any more than 24 hours.
Worth a buy.
Been using this bell for a week now after moving into our new house. It was easy to set up and install. We love that it records any motion detected for security. It’s handy having automated messages to play out if you can’t talk to the person directly. Image is clear enough for purpose and sound is clear too. The camera picks up the whole front of our house which is wider than average. You can pan and zoom with the camera too which we’ve found handy.
The app can be a little slow and the actual door chime is a little quiet but this isn’t necessarily a problem for us. Would recommend.
Excellent value for money
Very easy and quick to set up. No drilling needed as the adhesive is very good which is great for us as we are in a rented property. Good quality footage even in the dark. Motion detection picks up movement before they open our gate and playback is smooth. Excellent value for money! Highly recommend
Took the plunge after watching a very good roundup of home security on a programme. This one was mentioned so took the plunge. Had been put off thinking it would be hard to fit but not at all. Literally installed in ten minutes , completely intuitive and now have on both our phones. Only negative was it would not send me an email to set up my account so I use my husbands, it was not sending it to spam either and I followed the troubleshooting but to no avail.
Absolute delight to be out this morning and get a call showing a delivery man I could easily instruct with my parcel.
Quality seems superb and motion detection works well, does not pick up every passing pussy as I feared.
Highly recommended and just purchased one for my daughter while it was on offer.
