Buy these now!!!!
Absolutely awesome wireless headphones. My gaming may be limited to racing games but these have added such an extra dimension to my racing. Especially good for rallying, I never miss hear a pace note anymore. Microphone works well and a nice feature being able to flip it up out of the way. I wear glasses too and these are definatley the comfiest headphones I’ve owned (even after a 10/12hr marathon sesh). I’ve also watched a few movies while wearing them and that was yet another plus. Can’t recommend these headphones enough. Excellent quality all round.
I was looking for some wireless headphones that worked with Nintendo Switch, but there was no official product. Some research suggested that these would work out the box – and they do! My son is so much happier to be able to move about, and means that he’s not constantly kicked out the game when he accidentally pulls the console over with the wire of his old ones! A very happy boy!
Excellent gaming headse
I bought this gaming headset a while ago and it is very good because you can not hear anything except the game when you have them on. Would buy again.
Great pair of gaming Headphones
Son loves these. The sound quality is great and noise cancelling works really well. A little expensive but you get what you pay for..
Headphones are grea
Got these for my Grandson for Christmas, he loves them
Great sound
The young gamer who is the happy owner of this set describes the sound as excellent and the comfort level as ideal. Battery performance is also very good. Seems good quality, I hope so as they are not cheap!
Fantastic Buy!
These are brilliant! My partner loves them for his Xbox gaming! The sound quality is really good & set up is really easy. Would definitely recommend
quality
Bought these for my son, he said they are the best headphones he has ever had, great sound quality and very comfortable and easy set up.
Ps4 addicted hubby loves it.
Bought for hubby as an Xmad gift. I could never give up his trust old ones but as soon as he put these on he was stunned and excited at the quality and super human hearing. He loves it.
Good Choice
Works great on switch – needs to be plugged into dock while being used, cannot be used without dock as it has a USB receiver / transmitter.
Great headphones.. no complaints at all
What can I say? Turtle beach headphones are really worth their weight in gold.. super human hearing is awesome. Bough these for my little boy for Christmas, he is very very happy with them.
Good headphones
Both of my kids have these headphones, both are very pleased with them
Well made
Son has said they are the best headset he has ever had, they do seem to be better quality then most, but they are more expensive than most…
Always trusted turtle beach
I’ve always trusted turtle beach name for headsets and this 1 is no diff
Great headset.
First time having a wireless headset and it’s one of the best headsets I’ve had.
The range is good but I think its reduced because of where my PC is.
Love them
There isn’t as much control over the tones etc as you used to get on Turtle Beach headphones however sound is very good anyway! Battery life is great; I spend hours playing Borderlands 3, chatting and listening to music on them at the same time – they rarely need charging which is a miracle compared to my last TB headset.
The mic mutes by flipping it up which is handy and pretty cool.
The mic monitor function needs to be done within the app under “settings 2” (I think).
Mostly comfortable with glasses but I do try to make sure I take them off for a few minutes every so often anyway.
Really happy with the purchase, glad I got annoyed with old set.
Extremely light and comfortable
Comfortable, fantastic sound great for the PlayStation if you are not bothered about any extras such as being able to take calls etc I would say look no farther they are in my opinion way superior to the PlayStation Gold
perfect for the job
Easiest to set up it’s just like pairing a controller the quality is very good the sound is not as loud as I would like it is a bit low but it is for my son and probably better off that way she doesn’t hurt his ears
Great look and feel
Bought these for my boy, he’s been using them for a week and likes the mic mute feature when you point the mic skywards! I picked them up today and was surprised at the build quality which is really good and the headband and ear pieces are really nicely padded and look really comfortable. I spent a lot more on a pair of noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones and they don’t look or feel nearly as good…..I haven’t checked the audio quality but have had no complaints from the boy.
Does everything you need it to do very well
Son loves these headphones! Has used them with is Xbox one for about 1 year and have always worked perfectly. Sound is good and he tells me that he has no problems with the mic either. Good head set would recommend.
Immersive sound that brings gaming to life.
I was hesitant about buying a headset for gaming as it was something I wasn’t sure I could get used to and it was something I’d never previously owned. But after buying these, it completely rejuvenated my gaming experience. They have deep bass and excellent quality surround sound bringing the games to life and a whole new level of immersion all with the freedom of no wires. Battery life is amazing even after long gaming sessions and chat quality when in party’s is crystal clear. The only issue I’ve found is that they use a WiFi connection to connect to the Xbox rather than Bluetooth and there can be interference issues when you speak in chat (my friends complained about an occasional buzzing when I spoke) on the 5Ghz frequency, but I resolved this by connecting my Xbox to our routers 2.4Ghz frequency. All in all, a very good well made headset for a very fair price. Would strongly recommend.
Great quality.
I bought theses for my granddaughter but had to return them, only because she is 11 and they we’re a bit big so didn’t fit properly over her ears, but the quality was great .
Worth the money compared to the playstation gold headset.
I really like these! They work with both ps4 and nintendo switch. The range is decent. They are comfortable for long sessions especially compared to the playstation gold wireless headset I also own. The battery life is better than the ps gold, the range is better than the ps gold the downsides are theres no app to set them up to your personal preference and only a few preset modes to choose from, the virtual surround sound mode is crap it makes them sound thin and tinny but the stereo modes are full and dynamic maybe a bit bass heavy for war/shooter games ie with explosions but worth having if there within your budget.
Fantastic purchase
Flawless item. The whole, tilting the head band a little more forward takes some time to get used too. But it’s comfortable. Can be loud! The ability to auto sync for true wireless is FAB
10/10
The only problem i have with these i i cant independently adjust voice volume its all integrated with whatever sound u have coming thru… still a good headset tho
Great Produc
Comfortable – modern – great quality. Easy to connect to Xbox. Mic easily muted (and know when with noise). Separate volume controls for voice chat and game volume. Perfect for any gamer. Of course wireless tops it off!
Awesome headphones
Bought these for a mate of mine, I already have a pair… what else can I say they are the business, don’t mess about just get a set and get stuck in! Get these instead of the 700’s, the newer 700’s have all sorts of problems… check the reviews for yourselves and see.
Wireless headset at a reasonable price.
So far so good. I’ve had Turtle Beach headsets before and this one feels the same. My son is happy with them and the fact they’re wireless. They don’t feel as premium as more expensive sets are, but for this price they’re worth it. Easy to set up.
Brilliant wireless gaming headphones
Brought these for my husband, he loves them. Unique features like muting the microphone by moving the microphone up plus more (I dont use them to know what he means). They must be good as he has recommended them to his mates who have all since got them.
Great headphones for Xbox.
Great headphones for Xbox that work as described. Seamless wireless linking with an Xbox just like your pad. They go loud enough but not as loud as you want them too if that makes sense. Otherwise, great for the money. Best in class for under 100.
I use this headset for PC Gaming. I purchased the PS4 Blue versions so that i did not also require the Xbox adaptor that is required for the green versions.
After many hours in PC world/ Curry trying on all the of headsets i found this headset is exactly what i wanted. Already knowing turtle beaches audio quality from before with previously owning Turtle Beach P12’S. My Turtle Beach P12 still excellent however with my new gaming chair the sound adaptor on the wire kept getting stuck on the chairs arm mid game which was very annoying so i decided to go wireless!
With this new headset all the sound setting from the adaptor are on the headset with the game and chat adjusters under ear on one side which i love. You can very simply mute your headset by lifting the microphone. The microphone is very compact, small and discrete. I have now had these for about a month with vigorous long hours of gaming; i have only had to charge this a number of times. The cable this comes with is tiny which doesn’t even reach to my headphone stand yet along my head. I recommend buying a longer one; i purchased a 2M UGreen one so i can play while charging if needs be.
I have yet to try out the extra sound setting the default sound setting is great as it is. however i might use the super human hearing in future for competitive play. One of the main reason i love these is because you can simply just put these on download the driver and you are all set no fussing about.
I previously purchased the Corsair Void Pro Wireless headset which i later returned. I found these very comfy over the ears however they just did not fit very well the cups did not cover ears correctly and they seemed very stretched towards the pair i tried out in store, they would constantly slip off my head. i also did not find the audio quality brilliant. instead with the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 wireless headset i can walk about if needs be to go get a snack or just have a stretch without worrying about the headset falling off at all while still being able to chat to friends on discord. I am glad i returned my previous choice and purchased these instead.
Good
I bought these for my husband and he is fairly impressed. The only negative he said was when he is talking via the mic to other people they find it difficult to hear him and they have to turn up their sound. He has tried everything to fix it but to no avail. Other than that great headset.
Lasting well
I’ve left it a few months before reviewing as I was sceptical about how good these may be having read a few negative reviews. I bought a Microsoft controller at the same time to use in conjunction with this headset, and that packed up after 2 months! But this Turtle Beach headset has continued to work fine and is semi-permanently stuck on my 11 year-old’s head 7 days a week it seems.
He’s not reported any problems at all, they charge and hold charge well, and the functions all are ok and working after around 8 months now.
4 sta
Amazing headset with the sound/party chats are smooth and clear.wearing the headset is comfortable enough but the mic is to far away from your mouth that u kind of need to talk abit louder so if you have to be quite most of the time or late at night then ur mic probably won’t pick up the sound which is the downside.
TB Stealth 700 - best wireless headset I've tested
For the Xbox One version, not 1 wire in sight was amazing, I was shocked to have no wire to the controller for a change. The sound was amazing and clear, voice chat is good and it worked great on windows 10 (with an xbox controller adapter) and also on my mobile phone. The only downside I could find is the android app doesn’t configure the headset as good as the windows version (using the charging cable).
Overall I would absolutely recommend this headset, the comfort is good (I wear glasses too and it was fine) and it feels perfectly snug for clear sound.
2020 update: a year on and this headset is great for sound but the mic isn’t great if you don’t speak loud. I talk quieter and people find it harder to hear me with this compared to other headsets.
Brilliant headse
Just started using this headset and it is a great headset.
I previously used Astro A50s for the Xbox one X and just didnt want to spend another 270 (they have went up by 20) although they were the best headset around without a doubt.
The sound quality of the Stealth 600s is excellent, not as much bass as the Astros but after trying them in Rainbow Six Siege they were very accurate with directional audio and extremely light and comfortable. There is no way Astro A50s justify an extra 200 for an overall very similar experience.
A fantastic pair of headphones
I bought a pair of these for each of my boys and I couldn’t have picked a better pair for the money.
The boys absolutely love them for the sound and the freedom to walk round whilst talking to their friends online
Comfortable , great sound quality and teenager proof
Purchased these for my teenage son, as I was fed up with purchasing headphone cable which he kept breaking and headphones that stopped working.
The fit is great, superb sound and build quality , and no more headphone cables to damage
Amazing
I am usuall VERY picky about my headsets. They have to feel right, they have to sound right, they have to be wireless, chargable… so on.
My particular feature that I didn’t think about until I needed it was that this device has two volume controls. One for party and the other for game. Can’t hear your team over the gunfire? turn the game down a touch without entering any settings menus! Need to listen for someone sneaking up on you? Turn your party down without letting them down!
Also don’t slouch on the couch, it can deafen you.
Brilliant Worth Every Penny!
Amazing headset, Bluetooth and surround sound they are very good. My son has been through loads of sets of headphones and they always break at the jack point. Good news you don’t have one with these! Charge lasts ages and when they do eventually run out they charge back up really quickly. They are also very comfortable and the mic works well. The controls are positioned in a good place and they synch perfectly with the Xbox no problems and instantly working. I would highly recommend these to all who want no more wires and quality gaming sound.
My Son loves it..
Not used personally but have checked quality and its perfect. My son loves it and happily bounces up and down on sofa without tangling himself round wires while playing xbox. You get what you pay for and this quality product. The pull down boom is much better than the screw in ones too.
Great sound - highly recommend
I love these – I’ve been using them for my ps4 for a couple of months now. Originally, I bought a pair of Kraken v2 and the sound from those was horrendous in my opinion. I am a musician so sound is incredibly important to me so I did a little more in-depth research this time. The frequency response on the Stealth 600s are great. A nice and crisp sound with a powerful low end but not so much that it becomes muffled and muddy. Plus, a couple of different EQ profiles means you can tailor things a little more to your taste. I’m so much happier with these. Very easy to set up too.
It has a ‘super human hearing mode’ which I tried for about a minute in Apex legends and it was not good. It’s supposed to make you be able to hear subtle noises around you but it ends up being quite disorientating and loud. They’re not very easy to store as the don’t fold up or anything, although this doesn’t bother me as I just put them in a draw. They don’t keep the sound in super well but my girlfriend hasn’t said anything yet so it can’t be that bad.
Overall, I’d highly recommend these. I looked for absolutely ages at a bunch of market leading gaming headphones and these seemed to come out on top.
Wireless is key here!!
Works likes a dream sync straight to Xbox one with in 30 sec.
Great feel to them not to heavy not to light great to have mic fold away and to mute at same time, and being wireless is great.
Sound is better then I thought 5 starts
Perfect upgrade from my old turtle beaches
Bought as an upgrade to my old wired turtle beach recon something or other. They are brilliant, not quite sure what the bad reviews are on about. No issues connecting or with battery or with sound volume/quality. All these things are fantastic. Very comfortable and adjustable for the perfect fit. Had them on and working within minutes of opening the box. Would definitely recommend
Well worth the extra money
I have tried 3 different cabled headsets with my xbox and couldn’t really get any to work. I was at first reluctant to buy these as they are way more expensive, however, they are worth it! Very simple to setup, worked straight away. Good battery life and good sound quality.
You can't hear your Mrs nagging if you buy these. Perfect.
Love to give a review on a product and this one is a good one. Would definitely buy again if these ever break.
if you’re worried about going wireless, don’t!
Arrived quickly and packaged well.
Headphones are pretty decent considering they are not the most expensive ones on the market.
Comfy and snug fit for me. And decent quality sound for both me and those who listen to me talk.
Had been nervous about using truly wireless headphones for game performance but these actually are better than my old turtle beaches which were wired and cost almost double the price! Would recommend!
Bought or my son who plays a lot of online games on Xbox. This was as a replacement for a cheaper but very good Turtle Beach headset is still working but upgraded as a present. I was a bit unsure at 1st because of the price After purchasing and speaking to my son he advised that they are very good and the sound quality, wireless, comfyness of the ear phones, also auto updates via bluetooth is really good, also easy to set up and get going and he can tell the difference straight away.
Pleaseed with the purchase and if we get the same amount of gaming time from these headphones like the last turtle beach ones it will be money well spent.
Great headset !
Great sounding headset with a few presets. Mic is pretty good. Quite comfortable even after a few hours use.
Comfy, easy set up and great sound. White colour definely worth the extra ££
Great headset, links via holding down the sync button on Xbox and headset. Connects like a controller. The mute voice feature is neat when moving the mic in the upright position for muting yourself in chat. Game sound and voice can be adjusted to suit gaming needs by two separate dials. Great sound and comfy to wear.
If you’re not a pro, get this headset.
Materials: I’ll start off with a less than good point – the materials on this feels rather cheap, from the finicky plastic cups to the not so soft ear pads. On first use they made my ears hurt after an hour or so of gaming, but in the days that followed my they got used to them. Although, it is still like a breath of fresh air when taking them off!
Sound: The omni-directional sound has helped my gameplay in shooters tremendously. I can hear footsteps and their location from further than ever so that’s a massive plus. There’s a few different sound modes, including a ‘superhuman hearing’ mode which simply just boosts the volume (don’t recommend). The ‘signature sound’ seems to be the best mode, offering a decent punchy base (nothing too special) and clear mids/highs. It makes for immersive gameplay and decent entertainment watching but I wouldn’t use it as my go to for a movie.
Mic: Crystal clear from (as I’ve been told). VOIP quality. Flicks up to the side to mute, with an audible sound ‘MIC OFF’ when in position. ‘MIC ON’ when flicker back into speaking position.
Fit: The extendable arms makes sure it can fit any head, but like I said the pressure it creates on the ears, whilst good for a tight seal can get uncomfortable. Overall though it fits solidly on your head, doesn’t fall off with frantic head movements (don’t ask) and doesn’t really move.
Design: Probably one of the more gaudy designs, I wouldn’t wear them in public (besides the fact you can’t pair these with regular Bluetooth devices) but it is a gaming headset so that’s sorta expected?
Overall: Pretty solid headset that does the job. If you’re looking to slay some fortnite noobs or better your COD game, this will help. But if you’re a professional looking for professional equipment. This isn’t it. Saying that, the majority of us sadly aren’t professional gamers, so this gets a solid 4/5 from me.
I bought these for my son to go towards his Xmas presents and gave them to him early because his old ones (cheaper make) had snapped across the head band,
Initially they where fantastic but unfortunately they broke down on Xmas day of all days and would not switch on at all,
I sent Turtle Beach an email at 21:03 on Xmas day but didn’t expect a reply until after the new year, BUT, they got back to me on Boxing Day and after giving them the details of the head set and serial number I was amazed to be told that a new headset would be posted the following day and was even more amazed to have received the replacement 2 days after the New Year,
I have not tried them myself but my son uses them for his Xbox one and watching movies and says they sounds fantastic,
Would I buy them again, definitely, would I recommend them to others, again definitely, Although it was annoying with them breaking down, these things happen even with new products, its a fact of life, accept it, but the after service I received was exceptional, probably the best I have ever known, it is for this reason I would have no problems going back to them again and agai
Good quality
When I first got it out I was excited and I put it on charge thinking that it will take like an hour but it takes 3 hours to fully charge then u gottta down load the software on ur pc and update the headset. Once that was done I connected it to my Xbox and played BF4 and the sound quality was so good that it was like being in the actual car. Used no problem but the super human hearing is a little odd and makes the people sound like robots (I haven’t played with the app yet), when u turn ur Xbox off it also turns the headset off
Gaming perfec
Only criticism is that the volume only goes so high. Other that wireless perfection!
Great sound and good quality.
Great headphones, connect really easily to Xbox one. Charging cable could be longer, my son has to balance them to charge from Xbox .
Superbulous headse
Extremely comfy. Great battery. No adapters needed for wireless on Xbox one X.
So good I can sometimes here my long gone century old dead ancestors whispering to me while playing intensely on call of duty black ops 4
Great headset!
My son previously had a different brand of headset which was a wired product. Although the product wasn’t cheap, it didn’t last long before he had issues with the sound being intermittent or only being able to hear from one side. With the wires also being a minor problem, I decided to search for a wireless headset that had good reviewed without being the most expensive out there. I came across these and I was happy with the reviews so decided to purchase them as an Xmas present. He loves them, hasn’t had any problems with the sound and most of all made it easier that they were wireless!
Great mic howeve
The Mic is great however the sound comes from the tv not the headphones
Excellent in price range
Easy to connect, great sound (game and chat are separate volume levels) clear mic and comfortable to wear. Also warns you when battery is getting low if you haven’t been keeping an eye on their status your xbox menu screen. My only criticism is that they don’t give nearly enough feedback of your own voice coming back at you so you end up shouting. Having said that they surpass my expectations for the price this is the only missing feature compared with my xp500s and they were double the price when new. Also doesn’t have bluetooth but this is not an issue if you don’t plan on using them on other devices.
Sound
The sound on these headphones are amazing it feels like your in the battle!
Excellent quality.
Arrived well packaged and fairly quickly. Set up easily to my Xbox one S. Very comfortable to wear and sound excellent. Only downside being need to reset to console each time of use. No big deal after doing once or twice however. Also my wife says she can hear conversation from my contacts. Doesn’t bother my gaming though. Overall an improvement to my previous corded headset and battery life of controller much improved.
Best ear phones I’ve had
Earphones are great! The sound quality is very good 4 stars because the left ear piece presses on my ear and after a few hours it starts to ache a bi
MAKES YOU WANT TO REPLY YOUR GAMES AGAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN
So I got these as a present for my husband. He absolutely loves it. He says it brings a new dimension to the game. I tried them on and wow – the sound is just something else. He plays things like Subnautica, Red Dead Redemption, Fall Out 4… where sound add a layer to the whole experience, but with these headphones it adds a whole new dimension. You hear sounds that you have not noticed before and it feels like a surround system, so turning your head makes a difference too. He is now recommending it to his mates. I think wifey did well here 🙂 Hub was very impressed 🙂
Give your gaming an edge
A good quality set of wireless earphones that once set up offer a distinct advantage in gaming, certainly on FPS where being able to hear footsteps, weapon reloads can mean the difference between winning and losing, the headset is fairly comfortable even after several hours of use and having no wire’s to get in the way is a definite bonus, through the app which for this model needs to be on a pc/laptop you have a couple of settings that you can alter for personal preference, the only downside to these that I have found is that if you try to charge whilst using the headset other people in a group/party may hear interference but this shouldn’t be a problem if you make sure their fully charged before a gaming sessio
Be wire free!
I love this headset. I’m now completely wire free while gaming. Looks and feels superb. Not too heavy while on my head and comfortable for long gaming sessions. Once out the box it was setup and connected by pressing 4 buttons. 1 for power on the headset, turning on the xbox and pressing both sync buttons on the xbox and headset. Sound is great and works perfectly in conjunction with Dolby atmos ability the xbox one has these days( I purchased Dolby code to access seperately). All in all a great price of kit and worth the purchase
I'd buy again!!
Good sound and Impressive option on how it can sound as it’s your choice. There have been some teething problems with updating it but seems great now @@
Worth the extra money
Decent sound, very durable and good battery life. Bought for my son as he manages to break the wired ones fairly quickly. I wish I’d bought these 3 sets of cheap wired headsets ago! It would have saved me some money
Use warehouse more ofte
Item as discribed, with minor cosmetic issues, but work and sound great.
This is the one.
After trying a few other brand headsets I have finally found the one headset which offers everything I wanted.
First of all UPDATE the firmware which is very easy to do so.
The wireless headset is perfect with no annoying short cables etc.
Mic Monitoring is very good, not perfect, but still more than enough with a group chat and a loud game.
The base/feedback… ooooh yeah. I happily use this for watching films when not gaming on the Xbox One X.
The phone app to control the features is a god send. More headsets should have this feature.
It isn’t too heavy and after 2 hours I only noticed it was due to my posture sat on a bed and not a chair so I was leaning forward.
Highly recommend it.
Fantastic
Really really good headset. Was struggling to find a decent wireless one for a good price but I coughed up 80 or 90 for this and I’m not disappointed. Brilliant quality and the batter life is very decent, I only charge it once every 3/4 days!
I am very happy with these. Not to heavy sit well on my noggin. The sound quality is amazing compared to what I was used to coming out of my tv(which was none to shabby) I use these and my PS4 exclusively to play call of duty so it’s important that I get a decent bang for my buck, and you do. These headphones have added so much to my enjoyment it’s hard to explain. Footsteps behind you, gunfire in the distance, helicopters overhead are all distinct from each other but yet heard at the same time, amazing the atmosphere they help to recreate. From what I can see these seem to offer great value for money. Oh yes the bits that go round your ears are nice foam so breathe and your head does not get sweaty.Easy to operate with a few sound options to chose from, I use super human hearing, you will also…..it is superb. I am sure you can pay a lot more for headphones but will they be a lot better? I doubt it, these are great.
Got these for pubg and the new blackout on black ops – I’ve had a fair few headsets over the years including Hyper X’s And the old school wired turtle beaches for Xbox 360 and the useless Xbox one Microsoft official headset – these are easily the best headset I’ve ever used, brilliant sound quality the mic muting when lifting up is sweet and they are super comfortable, setting up literally takes 30 seconds – would highly recommend!
Fantastic sound quality and very clear party chat.
Great headset with amazing sound quality, 3d surround sound although not fully tested works as expected on Forza Horizon 4. Party chat whilst playing games is be clear and I could be heard with no feedback or echos. Simple to set up and ready to use immediately but will need a full charge before extended use as only 50% charged or the box.
I’m a casual gamer and This was my first pair of gaming headphones. I wanted wireless but didn’t want anything cheap but didn’t want to go too crazy with the price so I done a little research beforehand and narrowed it down to these or the Astro A50, Chose these in the end.
So far so good!
Positives
– Comfortable – Had a few 4/5 hour sessions with these and not a single issue here. Ear cups are comfortable and there’s plenty of adjustment depending on your head size
– Good Mic – No issues with the Mic sound and it simply flips out when you want to use it then you can flip it back to mute it or turn it off. Comes in handy for me as the Mrs is constantly trying to shout stupid things down the mic lol. There’s also mic feedback (you can hear yourself slightly when you talk) so you’re not shouting all the time.
– Wireless – works perfectly, takes literally 10 seconds out the box to sync them to your xbox then your good to go. When you switch them on it automatically switches on your Xbox. No issues so far with dropping connection etc (make sure you update the firmware before use, just plug into PC/Mac via usb and download the turtle beach software/app) Range is very good too, I can get up walk around, go into different rooms etc with no connection issues.
– Bluetooth – Great feature! Connects to your phone/tablet at the same time so you can listen to music or take calls whilst playing, love it!
– Charge time – 3hrs to fully charge it which is good, Recently I’ve been putting it on charge after each session so not sure what the battery life is like from full to empty judging by the battery gauge 8 hours with bluetooth on seems about right. It can be wired too if battery dies.
Negatives
– Build quality – Its not bad but could be better for the price. I can easily see these breaking if not properly taken care of. Should have come with a case at this price
– Buttons & controls could be better placed – There’s buttons & sliders located on the left for the controls but it takes a while to figure out the placement and I find myself turning the chat volume down accidentally instead of the game volume. Will take some getting used to
– Sound – They sound good enough but personally I think it could be a little louder. I was expecting more of a deeper bass but the mids and treble are ok nothing special. Bare in mind I’ve only played ONE game with these so it could vary and I’m used to using good headphones for my music so its the only thing I can compare them to but again I wasn’t blown away by the sound as other have said. The presets don’t make much difference either. The “super human hearing” setting makes everything sound tinny and weird but I think it would work well with the right game.
Active Noise Cancellation – (Activated by tapping the power button) Doesn’t make any difference to me, however the headphones do a pretty good job of blocking out sound without it.
Overall Thoughts:
I’m happy with my decision so far would have given it a 5 if they’d have thrown a case or charging station in! It has pretty much everything you need in a headset at this price point. Bluetooth feature is a game changer, being able to listen to your own music while playing, knowing that you wont be missing any calls, messages or notifications makes for a more chilled out gaming experience.
If you’re looking for a set of wireless headset I don’t think you need anything more than these unless you’re a hardcore gamer who wants the best.
I’ve only had this a day so will give a short review and update in a few weeks time hence the 4 stars due to the lack of play time
So far so good the packaging was excellent and didn’t need an update straight out the box as some of the reviews say the batteries were fully charged also.
The sound quality is very good and has 4 different pre sets depending on what you prefer also the super human hearing is excellent the only down side is that to activate it you have to press the power button and if you hold down to much it turns them off.
All in all it’s an excellent headset tand a massive step up from the ones I was using before which were from the tier down you can definitely tell that this a premium product.
Good
Very good quality headset but sadly doesn’t come with an aux cable to use for when the battery has run dry.
Works perfect, no flaws.
I have found that after almost half a years use, almost every day there is still no faults the mic is great quality and so is the sound, admittedly i haven’t really used the bass boost and superhuman hearing as such but to be honest i’ve found i don’t really need the settings.
I bought a cheap nasty set of headphones with my XBox, which I returned, then set about looking for a decent alternative. Although an avid collector of consoles over the years, I’ve never really played and chatted online, so this aspect of gaming was quite new to me. I was quite surprised that I could easily spend more money on headphones than the console itself, so I set about finding what I thought, based on price, would be something mid-range (In hindsight though I don’t think these count as such; they’re better than that). Without any substantial research and a desire to want them the same day, impatient as I am, I settled on these. After updating the firmware and fully charging them, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t really need to do much else. Even turning them on fires up my XBox if it’s not switched on. The only cable you need is for charging; chat is wireless. The sound quality is superb, the chat is isolated and its volume can be controlled separately. The mic can be twisted upwards and out of the way, which in turn switches off chat with an affirmative yet warm beep. They’re robust and comfortable too. I’ve had them for a week now, and used them for solo and online gaming, without any problems.
I’ve read professional reviews and i’m glad I ignored them and bought these. I haven’t agreed with any of the negative points the reviewers made. They fit snug on your ears without applying too much pressure (an issue I had with the px5’s), the build is robust, I wear glasses when gaming and have no issues, plenty of room to fit even wide arm glasses. The ear surrounds are fabric and not leather or faux leather meaning they breathe well. Functionality is simple, with just a few bottons and dials to do everything. Being able to mute the mic just by flicking the mouthpiece up is great and easy, much easier than blindly pressing for a button. Connecting was a breeze (I just plugged the usb dongle into my PS4 and they connected automatically).
Sound quality is great, but am yet to test them on something like COD to see how good the surround sound really is.
Overall for 75 these are great value, I just hope they last ten years like my px5’s did.
Pros :
Great signature sound fantastic for gaming (Rainbow six siege especially)
Wireless and comfy, can wear for hours without discomfort.
Crisp clear mic quality where you can hear yourself, useful. Flicking the mic up or down to mute is helpful too.
Cons :
Battery life not as great as people are making out. Ok for the casual gamer but for the ones spending a few more hours you will get a little frustrated. Also when it warns “battery low” you’ve got about a minute before it dies completely. Should be a bit earlier I’d you ask me.
Sound modes. Superhuman hearing SUCKS. like it’s a total joke it basically cranks some sort of internal gain and makes everything sound horrible and distorted, don’t use. The bass and treble boosts work OK and are mostly good for movies rather than gaming, although the bass boost is good for games like battlefield ect with alot of explosions, gives extra depth. Surround sound good for movies but not much difference to signature sound in games.
Button layout : this is something that annoys me. The battery, all the buttons the charging port ect is ALL in the left headphone. It doesn’t feel heavy or cluttered but the buttons are not raised or prominent in any way, it’s hard to find with your fingers when you are wearing them, can be a bit annoying.
Overall, though I have a few niggles I am happy with the headset for the price I paid, it’s worth getting if this is around your budget, you won’t do much better. If you want something with a little bit less of a “throw them out on the construction line and we’ll make the next model”, you’re gonna have to spend a bit more. All in all, would recommend for the majority of people. Many thanks!
My grandson is delighted so far. No problem setting up and they seem to work perfectly for him. The only minor negative point is that they need to be paired each time they’re switched on. Firmware update easily checked via the Turtle Beach app.
This headset received a lot of negativity at launch because of connectivity issues, and rightly so. A firmware update has since been issued, which is mandated on the packaging. I can verify I have not had a single drop-out after several hours usage.
I will begin with the main negative, and that is the build quality. Whilst not a complete deal-breaker, they are mainly plastic and not what I would describe as a premium feel. The earpads however are good quality and the overall look of the headset is pleasant enough, aside from the gloss accents which are just there to attract finger prints – when will these headset manufacturers learn? It is just in the hand the materials fall short of the price tag, although being lightweight has its benefits in terms of comfort. The headset is extremely comfortable to wear for long periods. The earpads don’t get too hot, the head-band is sufficiently padded and the grip on the head is fine. The glasses-relief system on the earpads is also a welcome addition.
Performance: sound quality is excellent overall. They are sufficiently loud without being excessive, with clear audio and punchy bass which doesn’t distort at higher levels. I am very impressed by the audio and the bass in particular is far superior to many other more expensive headsets I’ve used. In fact I would put them on a par with the Astro A50 Gen 3’s in terms of bass, only with arguably superior surround sound. Using Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos, spatial awareness is extremely immersive. Noise cancellation is decent and the convenient flip-up mic is above average.
In summary, this headset represents good value for money. If you appreciate the convenience of true wireless with Xbox One, with the back-up of Bluetooth connectivity to add to its versatility, this headset from Turtle Beach is a great option. The audio performance in particular makes up for some of the shortcomings with the build quality – which although robust enough, lack that premium feel.
Arrived a teeny bit late after a few emails with customer services, problem was sorted in the best way it possibly could be. Was well packaged and the difference between these and my older turtle beach headset is like night and day, the sound is so much clearer and it is so much easier to hear what is happening around you in games and as a bonus music sounds good too. I have recommended these to my son and his friends.
Really good for the price!
First real pair of headphones and I’m well more than happy with the result, only negative thing and could be a minor part on my end is I feel like I’m missing it’s true potential. Still highly recommend!!
I bought these to go with my new Xbox One X and to give a simpler wireless setup than my old headphones.
Connection to the Xbox is very easy, and it’s good to not have a separate receiver to have to connect.
They are pretty comfortable, although maybe not as comfortable as my old Stealth headphones.
The sound quality is very good, and give a good in game experience, the windows surround is good and I’ve yet to try the Dolby Atmos option but don’t see the point as they already sound good.
I’d give them 5 if they were just a touch more comfortable.
I recently got these for my PS4, mainly as an upgrade from my bog standard Turtle Beach headphones and for playing Rainbow Six Siege. Like most reviews, I can say that they’re extremely comfy to wear and that’s even wearing glasses. The sound quality is amazing: There are a few different settings (Superhuman hearing, bass boost, treble boost, etc) so you can tailor your own preferences to get the sound you want. Personally, I think these are a vast improvement on your gameplay: I can hear footsteps/movement much clearer than on my regular headphones, and this is make or break on FPS games. So if you’re thinking about investing it’s well worth paying the extra money. The mic is really well designed too and tucks away neatly against the left ear cup. When extended it’s short enough not to get in the way and it’s clear and crisp as should be. Battery life is good too and last a good few hours.
For all types of gamers!
Absolutely superb headphones, comfortable and seriously good sound quality. For new or experienced gamers the headset would meet all needs, especially with the functionality of the “Super Human Hearing” mode which is very useful in games like Rainbow Six Siege. The virtual surround sound works very well and the mic simply clicks down whenever you need it.
Finally gave in and bought wireless headphones for my PS4 and I think these sound fantastic. Horizon Zero Dawn sound freakin amazing on these. Totally changes the game. I would say that the surround sound is a waste of time and that standard sound with bass boost is the way to go. Extremely comfortable for long play sessions and battery lasts long enough for multiple sessions. Which is nice. Microphone quality is impressively clear as well. And the added bonus is that they work on PC as well. Great buy.
I ordered this as a replacement for my Stealth 600 headset and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by its build quality and overall feel.
The Stealth 600 is a great headset which I had no problems with until the master volume controller kept getting stuck and it became really difficult to adjust the volume, so I had to talk to Amazon and they were gracious enough to give me a refund and I added some money and decided on the Stealth 700, and I do not regret my decision at all.
I was debating between this headset and the Astro A20, but I decided on this one since the Astro was on backorder for a while and I needed a headset quickly.
Pros:
+ Build quality is actually very good compared to the Stealth 600, although still lacks the ‘premium’ feel of the Astro A10 and A20
+ Great mic
+ Bluetooth connectivity
+ Surround sound is excellent and very immersive
+ Superhuman hearing mode (or w.e it’s called) is actually good on this one whereas it made things worse on the Stealth 600
Cons:
– Battery life on the Stealth 600 was much, much better. I believe I was able to use it for over 12 hours without having to charge it, whereas the Stealth 700 doesn’t last nearly as long, but I am sure that’s because I am usually connected to both the PS4 and my PC via Bluetooth
– There is a noticeable delay when powering it on, off, or using any of the buttons on the headset. It’s only a couple of seconds but it felt much faster and more responsive on the Stealth 600
– Although the material is quite nice, the headset feels a bit tighter than the Stealth 600 on the head, and therefore wearing it for long hours doesn’t seem to be as comfortable, but I am sure it will loosen up with time
Overall this was a great purchase and I’m glad I went for it. I just hope it lasts longer than the Stealth 600 did.
p.s. I just wanted to add that Go2Games is an absolutely fantastic seller because I emailed them requesting fast delivery as I was traveling for spring break and they were able to do it for me and free of charge. I really appreciate their professionalism!
my son is very happy, the mic is too sensitive
my son is very happy, the mic is too sensitive.. he prefers to use them unless he is in ‘party chat’
Worked perfectly out of the box. Connected to the xbox quickly and fits my big old head fine. I can wear it for hours. Battery life is great and there is a long period of warning time for when they are running low so you shouldn’t be left without. I had the PX5 before this, there is a drop in quality and features but it’s not a like for like product. However, the connection on the 600 never drops out and there’s no cable or external unit. It just works and that’s good enough for me. The mic picks me up clearly and I like how it mutes when in the up position.
A little bit fiddly if like me you want to go from xbox to pc and vice versa as you need to repair it every time. Not sure if this is a limitation of the headset or of Bluetooth itself.
Thought I would write a review for this gaming headset. I was going to get these when they first come out but people did have problems. Which put me off a bit. But I wanted to try them and see. So I received mine today and updated the lastest software on the headset and they have been brilliant. I’ve got mine connected to my Xbox x with the Dolby Atmos app and they sound excellent. Very comfortable and light. You don’t feel that you have them on. Plus they are wireless which is great. Ive had headsets like astros and steelseries, and this headset sounds good at half the price of them. I would recommend you give them a try.
Even after reading some of the negative reviews I took the plunge to buy a truly wireless headset for the Xbox One. There is no dongle, syncs directly with the Xbox and you can even connect a Bluetooth device at the same time.
The sound quality is amazing, you get a nice deep bass and they work perfectly with Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. The volume and chat volume is controlled by a dial so is a little more precise than using buttons and when at full volume the headset is loud, way more than needed. There is also a Superhuman Hearing function, when switched on the mid-range audio is given a boost making it easier to hear enemy movement. This is a dream for anyone playing Call of Duty of PlayUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you will be able to pinpoint the location of your enemy. You can also adjust the pre-set for the headset via the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, it’s limited but still nice to have the option.
The headset also has active noise cancellation, minimising the amount of background noise you will hear. When turned up you won’t hear anything, coupled with Dolby Atmos you truly get immersed into which ever game you are playing. Not just games though, watching movies through the headset is more immersive than a home surround sound system.
The comfort of the headset is one of the best for a gaming headset. The Ear cups are soft rather than being made out of leather and fully enclose your ear. Very comfortable whilst wearing glasses as there is a recessed part that let the glasses arm sink into.
All controls are on the headset. You get audio beeps and a voice telling you when the various functions have been activated or deactivated. The microphone flips down to unmute and then flips up to mute, slightly unconventional but it works, its works really well. It’s far easier flipping up the mic than fiddling around trying to find a mute button. So far I’ve had no complaints about the mic quality, team mates can hear me well.
So far no connection issues with my headset, you do have to update it straight out of the box. This has to be done via a PC or mac and cannot be done via the app alone.
Overall I am very happy with the headset and would recommend this to anyone and im guessing the PS4 version will be equally as good. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a case as it does fall into the premium range. I have found a good case, the headset fits perfectly:
LTGEM Hard Headphone Case Travel Bag for Sony, Audio-Technica, Xo Vision, Behringer, Beats, Photive, Philips, Bose, Maxell, Panasonic and More-Black
I’ve had many problems with wireless headsets namely my Turtle Beach 800X Elites – constant interference and loss of sound. Tried everything to get the working and nothing. Tried the Stealth 700’s due to the way they connect via the Xbox Wireless system. Super impressed – connected first time and played online in a party for 2 hrs without a single issue. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the sets quality is a bit plastic. Ok so I’m spoiled by the super premium 800X’s but these are letting me down on the connection front.
Great wireless headset so far!
I’ve had my share of gaming headsets and I must say I really love these ones.
+ Great fit
+ Comfortable for long use
+ Wireless connectivity is fast and accurate
+ Mic quality is good
+ Sound quality is good and unlike many reviews I’ve seen here, they ARE loud enough
+ Mic monitoring is an awesome addition to this
– Plastic material is not the most premium around. The Astro A10 has better build quality but this is more comfortable, so it depends on what you’re looking for
– There are no separate party chat and game audio volume controls. I assumed there were, but it turns out the slides are for “master volume” and “mic monitoring”
If you’re on a bit of a budget and you’re looking for an excellent wireless headset, this is definitely for you.
I have used far cheaper Turtle Beach headphones in the past for use on my PS4 Pro, and they have always been good enough. However, I wanted to get something a bit more special, particularly as I do sometimes spend long periods of time using the PS4. My current TB headphones were only about 25 and whilst they were okay, I found that the sound quality wasn’t that great. So I decided to treat myself to a premium pair of headphones, and I opted for these, as my friend’s teenage son uses them and loves them.
My first impressions when I took them out of the box were vary good. The headphones were quite weighty for their size but I guessed that was due to the internal battery and electronics. These not only look neat but they are also vary comfortable. They fit over the ears rather than on them, which is, in my opinion, a lot more comfortable. There’s. A lot of thick padding on the ears and on the underside of the headstrap.
When you turn the headphones on out of the box you’ll find that the internal rechargeable battery cells are already charged, and also already paired to the usb dongle that you plug into one of the USB slots of your PS4. So literally, all you have to do is plug the usb dongle into your PS4, put the headphones on and press the power button on the left ear piece. A manly voice tells you “Power on” and immediately you hear the sounds from your PS4. There is a mode button next to the power button which, when quickly pressed, gives you the following mode options:
Bass Boost
Bass and treble boost
Vocal boost
Signature sound (which I guess is the default)
Holding the mode button down for a longer press toggles the “Superhuman Hearing” mode on, which enhances even the quietest sounds.
A quick press and release of the power button toggles Surround Sound
A press and hold of the power button turns the headset on/off.
The sound from these headphones is fantastic.
The microphone stick that swivels up and down. When you swivel it down you hear a beep, telling you the microphone is live. Unlike my other TB headphones, which only puts the voice of whoever you’re talking to in one ear, on this headset the voice of the caller is in both ears. Swivelling the microphone stick upwards turns the microphone off, and again you’ll hear a beep.
The left ear also has two volume controls, one for the sound and one for microphone volume. Just be aware though that if you turn the microphone volume up it also increase the sensitivity, which means you will also start to hear you’re voice in your ears. However, I prefer this as it’s another indicator as to whether your microphone is live or not. I was playing Elite Dangerous today and speaking to my 11-year-old nephew who also plays it. I could hear his little voice quite clearly over the game sounds. However, what I like with the PS4 is that, if you wish, you can go into the console settings and choose to have either “All audio” (game sounds and chat sounds) going into your headphones, or you can have chat only, which plays the game sounds through your TV and the speakers voice into your headphones.
So, though these headphones are quite pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. If you are looking at getting your pre-teen/teenage son a pair of good quality headphones for use on his PS4 for gaming purposes, for Christmas or his birthday (or just as a treat as he’s been a good boy xD ) then you won’t go far wrong with these. He’ll be delighted with them.
I fully recommend these headphones.
There’s a tad of negativity with some reviews and I will not criticise any of them, if they had a bad product due to being unlucky or if what my research led me to was the wifi interferes with the signal then so be it, if there’s no bad reviews folk won’t know if there’s problems, I myself are delighted with these, they work spot on if not a tad quite but got good life, sync up to the xbox great and fit snug on the old noggin, great headset for a great price
Decent headse
Works well, has good surround sound, Bluetooth is easy to set up. Not quite on par sound wise to the official Sony headset but I’ve given up on them because the hinge on the headset keeps snapping. Good for the price
Awesome headset easy to set up and a long range. One annoying thing though, there is a constant buzzing in the left cup. It could be interference from something in the room and it’s not too loud so when playing you don’t hear it, but from a 90 headset I’d expect better. Will contact turtle beach to see if there’s a way to fix it and then update the review.
