motion detection is great. night vision is fine. the only thing that I don’t like is the adjustment of the range of the privacy area in the app, make it more users friendly.
Love the fact that this does not come with monthly fees. Motion detection and night vision also work fine.
Hardest part was figuring out what breaker the doorbell was attached to. We will see how it does in the cold.
This replaced a G. so I wasn’t too sure if I would have the same problems with install and operation. Thankfully this product is so much better in so many ways. I now have a doorbell that works, without disconnects, a much better picture, more secure storage and it actually allows my current doorbell to work whereas it never did with G.
It works so well I have just ordered another for my daughter’s home.

Three very slight nags but not really too much of a issue, firstly it’s a shame that a amazon echo can’t be used as an additional chime unless you are fortunate enough to have the amazon show. Secondly there is only 3 different chime noises which is a bit of a shame. And lastly the clipping mechanism onto doorbell holder doesn’t look fantastically secure (don’t over tighten the screws on the backplate as it slightly distorts it then the doorbell won’t clip in place properly).
All in all a fantastic piece of kit and from what I’ve seen already outperforms the market leader and the added bonus of no monthly fees.

However the 5MP picture quality on this the best currently available on a video doorbell at the moment, i hope they make a 4K version soon.
The features are really good on this,. The only thing I didn’t like on this is and the reason I gave it 4 stars is because when someone rings there is a delay in audio and it can be a bit laggy the voice keeps breaking up making the conversation hard to understand, my router is close getting 4 bars of signal. It could be a software issue so Auso if you are reading this please fix this annoying issue other than is this doorbell is amazing ! Also bring a 4K version out soon before some other company beats you to it!

Pros about this doorbell camera is the extremely clear picture, easy installation and the long distance motion detection. We installed one at each door and they have become an important part of our home security package.
It would be nice to have volume controls on the doorbell audio system as the volume you receive on your smartphone is not equal to or at the same level you hear at the doorbell when you reply or speak through the doorbell.
Removing the doorbell and charging is also very easy to do.
Overall, we are very pleased with the doorbell and would recommend it to anyone wanting to know who is at your door and also what’s going on in your yard and on your property.
Bought in may this year for my grandma was working great until her internet when down got that fixed now camera won’t work I have uninstalled everything and started fresh still not working homebase works but the doorbell it’s self isn’

Peut-tre que la compagnie pourra trouver une solution avec Alexa aka Amazon… J’ai fait un test avec la dtection de mouvement, bizarrement, si je sors de chez moi, la camra dtecte ma sortie, mais si je retourne immdiatement dans la zone de dtection,aprs y avoir sortie, aucune notification ou vido a t dtecter donc, le livreur pourrait dposer le colis, sortir de la zone et y revenir et ne pas se faire dtecter… a suivre, plus de test de limitation de zone seront a faire.Dans l’ensemble, assez satisfait, le processus d’installation et la configuration ce fait trs aisment. J’ai achet cette camra pour sa connectivit avec Alexa mais pour l’instant, ne fonctionne pas trs bien.

I had problems installing another doorbell so wanted something that worked. This set up straight away.
All dark colour which doesn’t stand out against my dark door.
I haven’t yet refined the viewing zone but in general good images with ability to zoom in.
Occasionally drops out but a quick refresh gets the live image back. That’s why it’s 4 not 5 star. I’m no techie with no time to become one so happy that it works. Could be my new internet provider that is the cause of the problem not the kit.

Absolutely love this doorbell. I replaced a sky bell (poc) with this doorbell and it is the mack daddy of doorbells. Also, a bonus if you’re replacing a sky bell the mounting holes are identical…no drilling!
The first one I received was defective would not play back video. Will from customer service sent me a replacement and lo and behold great video and motion detection. Thank you Will for being patient with an old man.

First, charge the doorbell camera the 6 hours then continue as per instructions to hook up & install. Use local (battery) and as there will be a fee for the cloud.

when someone is at your door sealing a package there isn’t any notice of movement until you happen to look at your phone hours later ,by then it’s to late
I love that there’s no monthly fee associated with this cam. All the other popular doorbell cam’s has absolutely nothing over this cam. It can be hard wired to existing doorbell which eliminates having to recharge camera. The picture is fantastic and clear. I’m glad I choose this brand.
The doorbell video seems to record erratically when movement comes into view. Record times also seem short at times.

I am a disabled Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran with A family. I looked at around on Amazon and I figured I would try it out. Wow that’s all I can say, UHD picture day/ night vision is Military Quality. I love that there is no Monthly fee,and I have A private, local memory of recorded events. I will not buy any other brand,I am also getting a back door one as well. It is a must buy!!! Still fine tuning sensitivity and detection areas, to lessen false alarms. I will probably have to cut back some bushes that sway in the wind and trigger an event to get it to zero false alarms, but I’m close.
I love this doorbell. Intuitive to set up. I’ve connected it to my Alexa and can talk and see from Alexa or my phone. Vivid images. Does exactly what I want (great night vision and motion detection) and a great deterrent to criminals. Has an alarm in the event someone tampers with it and you need a pin to disconnect. On my front door I used the angle wedge to get a better view and did not place it where my old doorbell was since that was not the best view. Love it!

In general, this works more than adequately for me. Motion detection is good, image quality excellent and sound ok. Was easy to set up and has lots of options. Battery, with a LOT of activity, lasts about a 5 weeks for me. I’d like to hook it up to a plugin transformer since I have no prior doorbell wiring. Any recommendations on what plugin, c-wire would work well with this.
Great product and easy to install. The reveal as you open the package shows an attention to detail and that the company has thought through the end user experience. I simply followed the instructions and walked through the install on our WIFI. We have been using a week now and will develop more thoughts on features and add-ons. Already we are considering buying a outside security camera to ad to the network.
It was very easy to set up and install, we did not hardwire we only screwed it into the brick, but I’m having trouble with the volume outside on the doorbell whoever is ringing the doorbell is not hearing me very well for one thing, and my partner has an android phone and he’s having trouble setting up his app on his phone. Anyone have any ideas? Other than that it was really super easy on my iPhone as I installed first, and the picture outside is perfectly clear and has a very wide range in the neighborhood, I don’t know what nighttime will look like yet I will post later on that.
Nice door bell that works with or without and existing wired bell. No need to suscribe to the cloud but will not be instant video if so. The bell ring will be live inside, but the video broadcast will be up to 25 sec delay to transmit to phone app when using the algorithm function. Does works with both 2.4 and 5g wifi. The App can also add the other wireless camera from same brand. Came with 30 degres casing.
Great Image and sound. very easy to use app. online support. Motion sensor has improved significantly.
I like the ease of install. The app works nicely. The picture and sound quality are good. The notification comes pretty quickly when I’m at home on WiFi. While out it delays a little- not bad but not quick. So when communicating with someone while away from home, speak slowly and give them time to speak. The battery life is ok, if you have a lot of traffic it will drain the battery more quickly. But it charges back up very quickly. To remove it from the base use a paper clip. Happy so far.
This wireless camera exceeds all my expectations. I had been reaching options for several months now and watched an excellent review of it. Installed it this weekend (decided not to hard wire), which was easy to do, and am very pleased with the cameras and app. It is the best camera out there for anyone not interested in paying another monthly service for something. Accuracy and clarity are 5+ stars.
Great doorbell camera and NO additional costs to view the captured videos like most others. Connected very easily to my existing doorbell wire with about 9 volts. Camera has better quality than my cell phone and app is simple to setup and use. Highly recommend.
Edit: cloud storage is a free month trial, after that you must pay. There is also a delay on when the camera picks up a person and records, for me this hasn’t been an issue but it catches people closer to the end of the path (see pictures)
Out of the box it looks very sleek and nice. Roughly the same size as the ring doorbell I bought and returned. The local storage (sd) is easy accessible, and charges with a USB C (same as my phone). Performance so far has been good, I will say that there is a delay when trying to open recorded events or the camera occasionally. This may have something to do with my wifi or the huge rogers power outage because of course that happened when I installed it. Either way, not a big enough issue that I’ve even tried to fix it yet. The dashboard is very user friendly, and is easy to navigate. I didn’t charge it out of the box and it lasted 2 weeks or so, keep in mind I live on a corner town home beside the parking lot so there is ALOT of passing by my house, I’ll update as I’m fully charging it now. I think the audio is a bit hard to make out, but that could be because of other factors like wind, background noises and the distance that people are from the camera and is going to be the same for most doorbell cameras. Video quality is great, door bell chime is volume adjustable. Install was straightforward (if you have brick you will need a 6mm masonry bit and a standard drill) I’ve never drilled bricks before, it was easy and the box gives you everything else you need. Instructions were crystal clear, and laid out nicely (instructions are usually my Achilles heel). Overall, I would say if your looking for an alternative doorbell camera from the “big guys” , one that ensures your not stuck paying for a cloud subscription this is for you. I’m very glad I purchased. Will update I’f anything changes, if not I’m still happy.

I was reticent about buying this given some of the reviews, but this is an excellent quality doorbell. I purchased the battery version to upgrade my current doorbell which I got free with my home insurance (and I later understood why). Overall am very happy with this model and it’s a huge improvement over what I was using before.
Pros: Excellent video quality; fast loading; captures video rather than still images when motion detected or bell pressed; decent local storage; comprehensive and easy to use app with lots of features; very simple and straight forward setup with base unit and wifi; easy to install on bracket housing (clips into place without need for screws)
Cons: screws provided for housing are very poor quality (two broke as I was installing them, one is still left in the door unable to get out!!); motion detection can be a little oversensitive as other reviews have said – am picking up motion alerts from well outside my set field; a little bulkier than other doorbells
I bought them because I wanted to wire in to avoid recharging, didn’t want to subscribe to a cloud, and wanted the motion detection.
The motion detection was inconsistent at first as it didn’t dectect people walking on my yard. There is also a delay in motion detection.
Update: the app has a customer service function that has been responsive to my issues. There was a firmware update and the motion detection is now a little more consistent. I’m still testing it out but overall it is getting better.
The customer service function has provided options to address my issues. I’ll be trying them shortly and will update my review when the solution is installed.
This doorbell camera is perfect and it’s just what I am looking for. Easy to install and no monthly subscription fee. Pictures quality is great. I wished there is an option to turn the volume up or down from the app when watching the video from events though. I have it for about a week now, and no issues so far!
I have this hooked up to 24 vac 40va but it is still running off of the battery. Emailed support yesterday and awaiting a response. Will update this review when I get a response. Strange, the battery indicator in the app has a lightning bolt but the battery continues to drain. Has great picture quality, though.
Update: Decided just to return and purchase one from a different manufacturer.
It misses some important events, even right in front of it.
The notifications can be a bit delayed, too: I take a walk, instead of notifying me before I am even off the property, I am actually a quarter mile away before it notifies me that I walked in front of the camera!
But, for an inexpensive camera, it is plenty sufficient. Better than paying a service.

So this item arrived promptly and well packaged. Setting it up was simple as A B C.. The reasons for buying this model was due to the excellent image quality (which it definitely has) and the claimed long battery life. On opening the package, the removal key was missing but everything else was present including easy to digest and follow installation instructions. The oral feedback from the base station was helpful. The battery came 89% charged when delivered and took about 30 minutes to get to 98% and then another 2 hours to reach full charge. The doorbell was installed and working by 6pm.
Over the next couple of weeks I had to fully charge the battery three times so I contacted customer support who were exceptionally helpful. They offered to replace the item which they did and it arrived the next day. I have now installed this replacement which is working well.
I cannot fault the image quality and the field of view on this device. The motion detection can be configured to reduce unwanted notifications. The homebase plugs into any electrical socket and therefore can be placed anywhere in the home or garden. The bell itself is loud enough and has multiple volume settings enough to suit all.
The bell is configured by using the smartphone app. Setting this up was a breeze and took no time at all. During installation the latest firmware was downloaded and installed.
Summary. If you are looking for a first class fully configurable video doorbell that works in both the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands with outstanding customer support, then look no further.
I loved this product at first and am coming to realize it’s not the best…. The motion detection is delayed, if someone is delivering a package, you do not see them walking up to the camera just them standing up from setting the package down and walking away. It also does not pick up ANY vehicle driving in the driveway. I have adjusted the motion detection angle, the distance and sensitivity, had someone walk in the driveway and drive down the driveway (which is within the 25ft range) as I tested every option. Unless they are right in front of the camera it does not pick motion up. Now, the picture quality is pretty great but that’s about it.
This product works pretty well. I wanted to test it out before writing a review. I live in a row home so people walk past my house everyday and the Aosu doorbell camera alerts me everytime without missing a step. I do wish it came with the wifi adapter for the price you’re paying. The app is glitchy and needs some work as it lags at time but that’s a software update fix.
It works pretty well once I figured out how to get it to sync with my Wifi. When I asked customer support a question it took a couple of weeks to get an answer. By then I had already figured it out. Charge has lasted about two and a half months and in that time it has been knocked offline twice. A bit of a hassle to get online. Video quality is good as is night vision.
Very easy to install – great support accessories (screws, raw plugs and angle bracket). Great picture and good quality videos of people at door. Wires into mains with no issue. Great product – good phone app too.
This video doorbell is a great quality value for money doorbell. You get what you pay for and this is brilliant quality pictures & notifications are instant. Takes a few minutes to set up & if it thinks its getting tampered with the very loud ringing lets everyone know. We have it set up with battery option but you can wire it in if thats your preference.
But, for all the good points about this product it has some serious flaws!
– on install everything was simple, except I wasted about 2-3 hours of my life due to bad product manual. No where in the manual did it say anything about problems with long wifi names and the software hangs up on wifi recognition step without any idea how to fix it. I had to change my wifi name to a come date this camera.
– and this is a seriously bad flaw, the motion detection or ability for it to start recording doesn’t kick in or start until a few seconds. So basically a package thief can rush and grab your package and leave and all you will see is the back of their head. I tried everything and with setting on best or most sensitive I still only get video of the person leaving.
-Small point but the way you share videos is very cumbersome. The software isn’t user friendly to share clips with police etc.
I’m hoping they can fix these issues in the future as I like that this camera saves data locally!
This video doorbell is exactly what I have been looking for. There are no need for cables, you just charge it up now and again and there are no monthly charges required.
The picture quality is very good and the anti theft facility is very effective. I know from experience this is very loud as I forgot to unset it on the app and removed it to charge it up. It comes with a good quality angled bracket and a screwdriver for fitting too.
I bought this doorbell and received a faulty unit. I returned to Amazon for a refund and left a negative review. Right there I thought I was done. However the company who makes the doorbell reached out and wanted to do whatever they could to make it right so they sent me a new unit for free. I just got it yesterday so I haven’t tested it yet but I have high hopes. The doorbell and app are very easy to use and the customer service is top notch. I will report back after install.
Edit: doorbell is installed and seems to be holding a solid charge. Hats off to these guys they didn’t have to do anything after I returned the first one but they wanted to. I have no hesitation recommending this product knowing that if a problem occurs they will fix it. 4stars because of the faulty uni

I love everything about this doorbell except the battery life. It says a 180 day battery life. Thevfirsr charge was for 24hrs and it died after 10 hours. This doorbell is charging more then its outside my doo
This video doorbell is reasonably priced, has a super-clear picture, is easy to set up and use, has numerous features (including free video storage) and a much longer battery life than the more well-known brands.
Unfortunately, it’s too slow to react to do much good as a security monitor. By the time you receive a notification the person is gone. It does a good job when the doorbell is actually pressed though, which is mainly what I wanted it for.
Their app and website were both down for a couple of days when I originally tried setting the device up, so I returned it to Amazon and left a neutral review. The seller reached out to me and offered a generous solution. I’m very impressed with their customer service and it’s a nice video doorbell, but needs some technical improvements. Perhaps these issues will be addressed in future firmware updates.
The only drawback is sometimes it falls out of its cradle if the door is slammed

Picture quality is good, Audio is a bit hit & miss tho, bit muffled at times, records for 3 seconds then pauses & starts again, still trying to figure out if I can record for longer!
However, although the unit is very good at what it does, I found a behavior I definitely didn’t like, and I discontinued use. I have a 5G wifi “hotspot” which I use for all my wireless, at home or elsewhere, which limits me to 100 GB/month. Now this doorbell, of course, uses wireless internet, but if you have not signed up for monitoring, the wireless should all be on your local home LAN, and not causing traffic to/from any remote site. But when I first started using this doorbell, I would find very large data transfers occurring from my hotspot to somewhere, like as much as 4 GB. That can seriously eat into a 100 GB monthly limit.
Although the data transfer might have been from other IoT devices in the home, when I shut down the doorbell, the problem went away. So I don’t know what was being transferred, but I am certain the culprit was this doorbell. With all the talk of devices spying on us theses days, I have decided to discontinue use.
If that problem doesn’t concern you, then I highly recommend the unit.
As I had someone steal my Google Nest doorbell, I was drawn to this product initially because of the alarm feature. After much research, I ordered it and I am very glad I did!!! Setup was simple and quick. The picture is crystal clear and I love the inside chime/internal storage module.
I would have given 5 stars accept for a few minor issues: the triggered events, when playing back, quite often buffers and it takes a few moments to see the whole thing. Also, I wish there was a way that you could transfer the recordings from the internal storage to other devices (phone, laptop, etc). I also wish it would give an audible alert on my phone when a triggering event occurs.
Aside from these minor issues, I still think this is a great value for the price and it beats the Google Nest doorbell in every way imaginable.
Does what it says on the tin. Records to device only pay for extra if you want.
