Simply excellent.
Got as a replacement for a 70’s crybaby that has gone awol, but I wanted something slightly different for when it turns up… (I know it’s somewhere but had a gig I needed one for), and the look, quality and sound of this is excellent. TBH, they are the same thing as VOX and Crybaby share dna, but you really cant go wrong. Very happy.

I’m pretty much a bedroom guitarist and use the effects of a Vox modelling amp which has a built in Wah Wah setting but the effect depends on how you playing the the strings. This pedal gives total control; more than I expected. Great stuff!

I’ve had it for about a year. At one point it started squeaking but a spray of WD40 8 months ago and no issues since. I like it better that some of the smaller Wah pedals. Would buy it again if I had to.

Excellent pedal. The rocking motion is a lot looser than on a Cry-Baby wah, this took some getting used to.
The build is excellent, it’s very easy on the eye and is pleasingly solid.

I really like this pedal, but the blandness of the design bothered me. I removed the rubber pad, used a white paint pen, and reapplied the pad to the pedal. Now an awesome pedal has a design that pops!

A great range of sound from the full bodied low to the thin high wah sound. Dramatic and reliable.
Extremely simple to use and set up.
I love the simplicity of using it and find it is far better to get the power supply option rather than relying on a battery.

What can I say, it’s a wah. There are many people that say this pedal doesn’t wah like the other popular brand…Let’s be honest, the difference is very minimal and it all depends on your setup and settings. Let’s blame the guitarist not the gear for once. I prefer the VOX one.
Another complaint I’ve seen is that the switch is too rough or harsh. I’ve had the that popular cry baby pedal and it’s not that different. In my case it’s a perfect fit. Maybe YMMV

Good quality budget wah pedal, Vox’s cheaper model but still has solid construction and classic Wah tones (Vox Wahs sounds slightly different from the other classic, Crybaby Wah – listen to YouTube comparisons to see which tones you compare). Sounds great on my pedal board along with my fuzz and tube screamer clone.

Want to emulate that effect in Hendrix’s Voodoo Child? This is as close as it gets, unless you can time-travel back to the late 60’s/early 70’s. (and yes, I was playing guitar then too!). A big thumbs up on this one! A great price/performance value.

Nach der Beschreibung von VOX haben sie ihr erstes Wah Wah auch schon in den 60ern entwickelt. Kam ohne Mngel und vormittags.. Nach deren Urteil ein variabler Bandpafilter, bei anderen Wah Wahs ist es wohl eher ein Volumenregler.. dann gibt es noch die Jah Jahs, Yo Yos und wer wei was. Hab es mit dem mitbestellten Donner Nano Looper ausprobiert. Das Pedal vor den Looper plaziert, weil ich den Wah Wah Sound natrlich auch geloopt haben wollte. Kann nur sagen bestens …sehr zufrieden, kannte bisher nur ein sehr altes Schaller-Pedal aus den frhen 70ern. Das Vox genau das, was das Schaller auch war.

Great pedal. Not only it works great with electric guitars, but it can create some really amazing sounds when you connect it to a synth. I use it for my Moog and it can create some awesome funky sounds.

It's good if you know how to use a wah pedal, I'm use to an expression pedal, so when I go heel to tow on this it sounds like I'm overloading an expression pedal.

A solid bargain for a wah pedal, although it doesn’t push through alot of drive for a generic zakk wylde sound, it’s good for any other tone in my opinion.

Built like a tank. Tried and true VOX quality. This pedal shines in the lower end of the sweep. Plenty of highs, but the sweet spot is in the low-end. I liked it so much I bought a second for the home studio.

Spiele zwar erst seit 3 Monaten E-Gitarre wollte mir aber, da ich grtenteils funkige Stcke spiele, unbedingt ein Wah Wah Pedal zulegen. Und fr den Preis von ca. 50 EUR, kann ich mich echt nicht beschweren. Es ist genau das, was ich von einem Wah Wah Pedal erwarte. Der Widerstand von dem Fuschalter ist perfekt, nicht zu stark, nicht zu schwach.
Wer fr den authentischen Jimi Hendrix Sound aus ist, dem muss ich sagen, dass dieses Pedal dafr mehr geeignet ist als der Crybaby Wah.
Auch meine 9 Volt Batterie hlt noch, nach ca. 40 Spielstunden noch.
Man kann hier also meiner Meinung nach ohne zu zgern zugreifen.

First and foremost the tone of this pedal is awesome. One cosmetic flaw is that the front plate that reads “VOX” keeps falling off and had to be glued on. I’m definitely pleased with this wah panel. The price was awesome as well.

The only observation I have is that it needs a really firm press down to switch it on, and if you’re a bedroom player sitting on a footstool, on carpet, then it is quite difficult. You really need to place it on a pedal board, or a wooden base. Otherwise, just the ticket.

Apparently this is what Gilly used to use wired in back to front to make the sweeping bird sounds on Echoes… not quite got as far as trying that yet but even connected the right way round it is awesome.

Performs as expected I don’t use it much but more than does what I need very we’ll
Purists will say this Chinese copy of the original Clyde McCoy (as used by Hendrix) is cheap and nasty and not a patch on the ‘Made in USA’ wah wah. Well, I’m not a purist – a realist, yes – so I recognise that instruments and kit made in China can be at least as good as US stuff (much made by immigrant labour anyway) and that there is nothing magical about American soil… though many Yanks think there is.
My pedal arrived today – one day earlier than forecast which I thought was pretty good. My first impulse was to unscrew the back to have a look at the components. The PCB looked ok and the moving parts seemed adequate – perhaps not as meaty as a vintage pedal but certainly up to the job.
So what does it sound like? Before I comment – I would like to say I have seen a simple mod on Youtube to darken the tone of this pedal if it is too bright. Well, it is extremely bright – you might even say brittle. I will make the adjustment tomorrow which simply involves loosening the nut that holds the pot in place and rotating the pot slightly towards the front of the pedal. There is another mod to replace 2 or 3 bits of the circuit but I don’t want to take the soldering iron to it if I can help it.
So I give it 5 stars on the strength of this mod doing the trick and because I like the look and feel of it – it is a sturdy piece of kit.

This may well be the best… I have modified mine as per the ‘Web’ and now its even better. No buffer with these, so added a true bypass switch. 56K input R (Gain), 47K R Coil and 2.2K Peak adj. Sounds very similar to original but the gain is now better balanced for On/off bypass. Funny thing is this one Cries as well (Pun really). Surface mount tech so be careful Part numbers don’t match schematics (845) either so be very careful. But what a Pedal with or with out the mods. And the the price…. Cast alloy housing as well!

his vox wah is epic. good sweep and is very easy to use. the buffered bypass gives you that old style effect on your tone that takes you back to the era of the late 1960’s when the original wah’s were made. if your looking for true bypass look somewhere else, but i would recommend this to anyone.

The effect pedal did exactly what I expected in the way that they did in the 60s. I am very pleased with it. The packaging was adequate with no damage done in transit.

This wah has a harsher, honkier tone than I’m used to. I went for it because of price and the Vox name, I’ve always used Dunlops up till now (25yrs.) but fancied a change. I tried a basic Morley, but it didn’t ‘wah’ enough and was quite pricey. The tone of the Vox in isolation is a bit disconcerting, the harshness/distortion reminded me of an old Colorsound I had over 30yrs. ago. It might not suit everyone, but in a band setting it suits me very well.
Conclusion: If your’e looking for a ‘sweet’ wah, this might not be for you, if your’e looking for something a bit different, this pedal is well worth a look.
Item arrived even sooner than I expected and the product quality is superb. The sound has a very organic feel unlike the "crybaby" wich IMHO is a little cranky. It also has a little higher pitch than the V845 giving it the edge if you have the extra money

Some how the wha wha got lost in the system and I was disappointed about that ,but we sorted it out in the end and it finally arrived safe and sound.I read the reviews and listened on Youtube before purchasing the cheapest Vox wha I could find and Im not at all disappointed..I’m no muso I just know what I like,and the vox delivers .No fiddling about with pointless technologies buttons ,knobs and faders etc,just step on it and fool around,I guarantee youll have a smile on your face immediately .A lot cheaper and more entertaining than a few hours in the boozer!

I went to a friend's house who had this pedal and the difference in sound was noticeable. You can't go wrong with this wah-wah pedal; I highly recommend it for an even, smooth sound. Way better than the Cry Baby too, imho.

This is a great product. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that it doesn’t come with a mains adaptor, which is an absolute must if you want to save on the cost of batteries. It doesn’t even come with a battery, which these days you might expect. Anyway, get this with the adaptor and you can make that guitar cry, no matter what standard of guitarist you are. Great fun and a great buy!

When its about wah effects I’m too careful cuz not all brands make it well. When I found this one I can be shure that there is no more wah sound out there, crunchy, warm and with the clarity of this… I prefere vox in wah effects, and this its a great choice and its too cheap for the quality you get!! 100% happy with this… Recommended!! 🙂
Ehrlich gesagt bin ich als Schwabe zu geizig gewesen, der breiten Masse der “CryBaby-Bewegung” hinterherzulaufen; zum einen, weil ein Wah-Pedal nicht stndig genutzt wird und die Hlfte der Zeit abgeschaltet bleibt; zum anderen, weil dann mehr Geld brig bleibt fr andere schne Effektgerte 😉
Zum Thema: Das Gert wurde vom Verkufer sehr schnell und absolut ordentlich verpackt geliefert. Das Gert hlt, was es verspricht – in eingeschaltetem Zustand kein Rauschen oder sonstige strenden Gerusche im Verstrker (Marshall). Die Tonentwicklung beim Spiel ist toll und hlt dem Vergleich mit den teuren Dunlop-Gerten absolut stand.
Im Mittelpreissegment neben Behringer (~40,-) und Dunlop (+~90,-) ein absolut empfehlenswertes Wah-Pedal!

This pedal is great for the price! It is easy to use but you can use it to a very advanced extent, it’s perfect for any guitar player! It sounds great and looks great too. It is a Vox so I know it is well built, and it meets up to expectations as it built like a tank(You could probably run this thing over and it would still work!)! The only downside is that you have to go into the pedals circuitry just to put the battery in however, there isn’t really another way around that so Vox couldn’t do much to fix that.
Overall, this is a great pedal and I would recommend this to all guitar players of any level.
I have been using this pedal for over 9 month, and only thing I can say is, it’s just perfect.
I usually play 60’s and 70’s music, and by using this pedal you can really deliver the legendary sounds such as Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page have produced.
So, basically it’s really simple to use, it has no any extra annoying buttons, you just press it down and it’s on and you press it again – it’s off.
The build quality is pretty decent too, even though it says that it’s made in china. It’s also easy to disassemble it, there are 4 bolts that can be easily removed by hand. Personally I have not experienced any dust-related problems, as other user had. The only annoying thing might be that you have to replace the 9V battery once in a month or two, which only costs like 2$ on amazon. Well, I totally recommend this product, if you really are a big fan of classic rock.

I’m not a huge fan of these, but I enjoyed playing along with this pedal when I was playing 60 songs or when I’m just composing random stuff.
For a while, I got this annoying scratchy sound from the Wah Wah pedal and I was thinking that I should sell it for $20. But, that won’t happen because I figured out that dust, hair or any kind of junk got into the voltage thingy in the Wah(which can be solved;) it’s not protective from that stuff so easily.
Here’s the pro’s and cons:
Pro’s
. Great for 60’s & Classic rock
. Classical vintage sound
. Affordable & its worth it
. Luckily, it didn’t devour the 9v battery.
. Good enough for beginners.
Cons
. Not 100% protected from dust.
. Thus, you need some complicated fixing (ask your grandpa if he’s good at engineering)

This pedal is amazing, i mean i bougth this on September 1, 2011 and this came into my house in September 8, only 7 days took! This pedal is the classic one, the amazing one, and they are covered delicately and good, and the pedal comes in perfect condition, without scratches and everything, plus they give you an amazing guitar pick, i recomend this pedal for anyone who likes REAL MUSIC and rock n roll ou there

A great robust and all round wah pedal. Sure it’s not as versatile as a Zakk Wylde pedal but for those blues licks and a bit of heavy metal solo work, it’s easy, battery lasts for ages if you don’t have a power supply and by goodness it’s a rugged unit! Also if you unplug the guitar lead (I think or possibly the amp lead) this pedal switches itself off.
You want a good quality, low cost pedal for general pub / club abuse, buy this.
For a lower end priced wah pedal, the Vox v845 does the job well. It’s well built and seems like it could put up with a beating. As I’ve said, for a low end wah it sounds good, but there doesn’t seem to be much middle frequency when using the wah. The low frequencies or high frequencies dominant respectively and independently, making the smoothness of changing between low and high a bit sudden, but I mostly use it for clean/funk/jazz riffs or boosting solos, and it does the job. The pedal eats batteries also, so investing in a 9V adaptor would be a wise move.

I’m only got this yesterday, and damn it can cry! The only improvement it could make is to add the 9V plug with it aswell. I recomend this Item to anybody and everybody from beginner, intermediate and advanced guitar players.
