Not a fan of many of the doorbell sounds-

If you want to be able to hear your door bell then this is for you, works very well loads of tunes and you can have different tunes up and downstairs. Very pleased with these Very slick in black as well. The only snag I would have is if only it lite up at night outside because if people don’t know you have a door bell they sometimes don’t see it.

The Novete system works brilliantly even when challenged by a power cut or when moving the receivers. One of our receivers is over 100m away from the bell push, yet works well even though the signal has to pass through 5 separate doors, two of which are double glazed!

I wish it was louder. But it works well. And it was really easy to set up. I haven’t heard all the chimes. I’ve settled for cockadoodle do. I used the pad to stick it up. So far so good.

I needed a wireless door bell for our Church Hall with ringers in two rooms. The Novette was easy to install and works perfectly straight out of the box, with a loud ring which is needed in a busy large space. The reach is excellent with no loss of signal from the transmitter, although it remains to be seen how long the battery lasts in the transmitter button. I like the fact that the ringers are mains powered and don’t rely on batteries. An excellent product and good value for money.

With such a myriad of wireless doorbells, with 2 receivers, I went with the Amazon Recommended item – the Novete. This was simple to install. I didn’t use the double sided sticky pad to attach the ringer at the door, I used 2 hook & loop pads so that it is easily removable (for changing battery etc).
Plugged in one receiver in the kitchen, another in the shed – approx 80 feet away, and both receive perfectly!
The original ringtone is fine & loud (in fact swmbo says the kitchen receiver was way too loud !), so very happy with this purchase. And delivered in less than 36 hours. Class !!

The door bell is just as Ii wished for; very easy to assemble and to choose and change the play tunes , of which there are plenty. The column is adjustable though I could wish for a slightly higher volume, but generally quite adequate. No problems as at yet! Delivery excellent next day as indicate. I ish all Internet deliveries were as reliable and efficient. Verdict- excellent all round. David.

These are neat, well-designed and worked perfectly ‘out of the box’ with no need for pairing with the push-button unit (as detailed in the instructions). I have not tried to change ring tone, which is a pleasant double ‘ding-dong’ at just the right volume. What is pleasing is that this particular ringtone is very realistic and not at all ‘transistorised’ – much more clear and distinct than the mechanical bell they replaced. The push-button unit looks nice, without a big ‘brand name’ printed on it like some others – it is relatively compact using a small CR2302 battery (supplied and fitted). The receiver units have an LED light that only comes on when the bell sounds, and are slim enough that they do not obstruct the adjacent twin socket.
I did a lot of research before going for these and here’s what I found from other reviewers: Some push-button units generate a signal mechanically so do not require a battery – however they tend to be quite large and some reviewers complain that they can get stuck. Some receivers are too large to avoid obstructing an adjacent electrical socket, while others are too brightly illuminated and you can’t turn off the LED light.
Take my advice and go for these Novete units – they are available in black or white so your doorbell push-button can contrast with your door frame.

Quick and easy to pair the button to its bases. Installation is like any other wireless doorbell push. Optional sticky pad, along with screw mounting choice. Up and running in no time, Installation and set-up was a breeze. Opened the push button, removed the battery insulation strip, plugged the two receivers in, one upstairs, one downstairs, paired each one to the push button as per instructions ( took a matter of seconds ) left it on the default ringtone ( Ding Dong ), turned the volume down ( It starts on volume level 5, I turned it down to level 3 ). Fixed the push button to the door frame ( I used the supplied screws but didn’t use the supplied rawl plugs as they were not needed ). Job done. Time will tell if any problems arise but as of now I’m very happy with it.

I initially bought a Teknet. As other reviewers mentioned it fails after about a year. Mine lasted two, wasn’t waterproof as there was a hole at the top. The quality of the sound was awful and it just became super glitchy after a few months. I bought white and it turned yellow in a few months.

Fast forward NOVETTE, it’s just a million times better. Sleeker and more expensive looking. The plug in parts are again slimmer and more sleek. The ring tones are HILARIOUS – “my heart will go on” from Titanic had us howling laughing. The depth of the ring tones is just excellent and all in all it’s FAR FAR superior to the Teknet.

I recently bought this door bell and from package to set up it took between 5mins and 10 mins maximum to set up. It works perfectly. I have recently had fitted a new luxury front door, so needed a door bell. This one is perfect. It was so easy to set up from package to instalment will take between 5 to 10 minutes maximum. As my new door has just been fitted I did not want to drill into it, so used the cut to size double sided sticky tape in the box. My front door looks out to sea and has to take the full force of the weather and has coped perfectly so far. I would thoroughly recommend. Can’t give five stars for weatherproof as it hasn’t been in place that long but so far so good.

Lots of sounds to choose from although there’s probably only a few you would pick. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNew product so I’m writing this review without time to see, but on initial findings.

Looks good and was very easy to install. It doesn’t pair with Wi-Fi, the two pieces pair with each other at literally the press of a button.

Has both a good quality sticker and also screws as options to fit the bell button. If mounting on a pvc door frame, the sticker appears pretty bombproof.

Two transmitters so one upstairs one downstairs, perfect.

Be sure to note the plug is at the top, if you have a low socket.

    Incredibly easy to install

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersBought this in April after going through endless door bells which after one heavy storm simply never worked again. Not only that but the extensions never synced properly which made a ridiculous sound which set my teeth on end, plus my Husband who is extremely hard of hearing, never once heard when somebody rang the bell, so people ended up banging the life out of the stain glass in the door – Grrrr!
BUT THIS is absolutely BRILLIANT it was the simplest thing to set up, the extension (can’t think of the right word at the moment) synced perfectly and it literally is as clear as a bell (no pun intended!) My Husband hears this instantly even if he has got the TV on (too loud) Very very smart shiny black and it’s sailed through some of the worst storms we’ve ever had and had extreme rain, bits of tree and all sort hurled at it through terrible winds. So pleased and impressed with the quality. Didn’t think I’d ever wax lyrical over a door bell, but there’s obviously a 1st time for everything. BRILLIANT

It was easy to install. The bells are narrow enough to fit the normal two socket blocks. But, someone outside cannot hear the doorbell ringing inside, so does not know if the bell works! This annoys callers, as they have said. And that was on the loudest setting! It is advertised as 115 decibels. I do not have a sound meter, but the maximum loudness setting I can get is no higher than a raised voice, and certainly not high enough to hear over the vacuum cleaner. We can also not hear it out in the garden with an open kitchen door. So, this product is quite disappointing.
I would also have liked a list of the 52 sounds, so that I can remember where they are when choosing my sound.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo far it has worked great the set up was extremely easy. It does mean we use an outlet for a doorbell but considering I work in a building with a cipher lock door and we had no doorbell or way of knowing when a person was waiting outside until they called our office phones this has done magically.

Haven’t fully tested the weatherproofing as of yet as we do have a roofed in door area so it doesn’t really get rained on to badly. It’s held up pretty well though.

Battery life is also something not fully tested as we’ve only had it in place for a couple weeks.

It has never missed a press of the button and since we have two receivers one being in the very back of the building it has also never missed a ring and that’s with thick cement walls and plenty of fire doors and metal doors.

Very good piece of tech and cheap.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our Users18 month update – still going strong!
Still completely weatherproof (somewhere that gets lots of big storms, torrential rain, snow and high winds), still deafening loud (it’s for a deaf person), still using the original battery, and most surprisingly still attached to the gatepost (using the double-sided sticky pad it came with).

It’s early days (only had the bell about 6 weeks) but it’s still working after three continuous days of torrential rain (which is an improvement on all its predecessors).

The acid test of course, will be if it is still working in a year’s time.

Installation was very easy and used the adhesive pad to stick the push-button onto a piece of (damp) wood that has been bolted onto the metal gate for donkeys’ years.

The two separate ringers are a godsend for a long-ish house with an elderly deaf resident.

    So far so good!

(And it was SO much cheaper than the super-duper Honeywell alternative)

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI wanted a doorbell set with 2 slim receivers to guarantee that double sockets could be used with other appliances. Also I was fed up with my old push button which turned a grubby unsightly white yellow over time. The setup took less than a minute. No ghosting ie interference with the other neighbour’s wireless doorbells or taxi radios so far occurred. I experienced this with my previous set (different brand) but after contacting the seller they advised different frequency settings which was no problem to adjust. Many people don’t know this and assume it is a faulty product. The push button case comes off easily with the supplied flat tool if battery needs changing for example. Also the circuit board and battery are in the case rather than on the piece stuck on the wall. I use one receiver in the hall and the second two floors up – works fine.

    So far so good

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersUPDATE 8th April 2021
As promised, I’ve come back to update my review in the light of 3 months of use. It’s till working perfectly with none of the phantom ringing experienced with other wireless doorbells. So I’m changing my rating to 5 Stars!
    ————————————————————-
I bought this to replace a similar type of door bell set that was a lot cheaper. The big difference so far is that the door-bell press is of a lot better quality, with it being made of hard plastic rather than the soft rubber-like material of my previous one which meant that you needed to press it precisely in the middle to get it to work at all.

The next thing I need to test is whether or not the “phantom ringing” that these types of door bells can suffer from occurs, where some other electronic equipment makes the bell operate. Some times in the middle of the night!

I’ve given it a provisional 4 stars and will come back in 3 months time to update my review – to 5 stars if it continues to work properly without the “phantom ringing”, and 3 stars or less if it doesn’t. It’s in the diary 🙂

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersWe replaced the front door which had a knocker on it, any visitors knocking on the door could be heard throughout the house. Quickly looked to get a door bell as visitors were banging on the door with their hands and some delivery drivers with their delivery PDAs or keys – door would be looking pretty pants if that kept up.
Bit of research in the reviews saw us opt for this model as it had 2 chime boxes and “a good range”. It arrived promptly and setting up was super easy, I opted to screw the button to the wall as there was a redundant rawlplug adjacent to the door. Plugged in the receiver pressed the button and a not too offensive chime tinkled away.
Now for the big test plug the second receiver into the furthest socket in the house, by the doors of the sun room at the back of the house. Being an old house we have solid internal walls which the Wi-Fi struggles to negotiate, quick test with the front door shut and bingo! We can now hear when someone “knocks” on the front door and we are in the back garden.
Most of the chimes are a bit crappy, but there is one in the playlist for everyone, being an immature fiftysomething and it being December we have Jingle Bells at the minute…………lightens the mood in these trying times (and embarrasses the kids).

I have tried a number of gate/door bells and spent a fair amount over the years. My last bell lasted 6-7 years and cost about 150. I took a punt on this one when my last one just died (probably due to being outside for years)
I have a gate some 40m from the house which is a large, rambling old place with fairly thick walls. I needed something that could do the range and with enough noise most of the house would hear someone at the gates.
This came with two plug in “bells” which have a selection of tunes and noises (my wife banned the bleating sheep one) but all are aloud enough when placed to give good coverage.
The range is excellent though I think I have it installed at maximum and I did need to do some fine tuning on exact location to reach both bells, to the extent that 30cm either way it didnt work and now does.
Not sure how long it will last, but at this price I can afford to replace every couple of years.
So I guess I am saying good, and I will probably buy agai

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter using 4 different systems over 10 years they all just went the same way, the bell push breaks, you get tired of replacing batteries or the seal goes and water damages the bell push. Or the wireless connectivity breaks etc.

This is the best wireless door bell I have purchased for my property so far.. minimum battery requirements, it is plug and play straight out of the box, easy to understand instructions, very easy to install and everything you need apart from a Philip’s screw driver to fix the bell push to the door comes in the box…. you do not even have to screw the bell push as it comes with a shaped heavy duty double sided sticky pad.

    The distance is great.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersWe have a baby, toddler, and a yapping dog that will bark at the slightest hint that someone is at the door. Fine for the day, but in the evening we’d like to be able to control whether the door bell works or how loud it is. I also wanted to be able to hear the door when I was working in my garden office at the very back of the garden.

Enter this wireless doorbell. It was so easy to set-up, works perfectly with it’s two chimes, and the door unit was easy to fit with the included sticky pad. It’s been flawless since and in my opinion is great value for money.

    ** Pros **
    – 2 minute install (plug it in, and stick the doorbell to the door / frame)
    – Lots of options to change the volume and the chime
    – Two chime units means you can hear the doorbell from two different locations
    – No wires at all
    – Units are an attractive
    – Works through thick walls and at least over 25 metres

    ** Cons **
    – None

Overall, a great doorbell that’s easy to fit and use. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSadly the ding dong on this isn’t a traditional simple one and it’s not that good. BUT we decided that meant we could go through the plethora of other options. Some of which are comical and many more are ok sounding tunes. There is for dog lovers a barking dog tune. For the elderly living alone there’s a proper dog bark which could be useful as a safety measure. Sadly there’s no singing cats tune. There is a meow option but as I have two rescue cats that wouldn’t be of much use. Sound levels are great. You will still hear the doorbell if plugged into the kitchen when the tumble drier, washing machine and microwave are in full swing. We chose the sheep door sound, firstly it is funny and secondly my partner is veggie and I’m vegan so it suits our home.
If you are really picky on using a traditional ding dong that doesn’t sound too electronic this isn’t the doorbell for you. If you fancy something different or a laugh then go for it. If the doorbell had a singing cats tune or a decent ding dong then I’d have given it 5 stars.

Quickly and easily set up all four Receivers to give a BLUE Light flash and the same chime from one Bell push (back door) and all four Receivers to give a RED Light flash and a different chime for the other Bell push (Front door)
Loud and clear working across the house from front door and back door to upstairs rooms both front and back of the house.
