    More about Amazon customer service
I bought this just before Xmas, arrived fine well paccked, and its a series X so its all good, the after a year and 6 months it wouldn’t turn on, so contacted Amazon and even though it was out of warranty they let me send it back for a full refund.
Thank you Amazon you did well and service like that makes me customer over and over again.

    Amazing Device
I bought this for my mum as an upgrade to her older Xbox one which was struggling to process games like Skyrim and fallout. I knew the Xbox Series X was a high quality machine with so many x the power of the Xbox one, but I was blown away. Its processing power and graphics on the same games my mum was playing is impressive, no more does she have to worry about the number of items she wants in her Fallout 4 settlements :).

    Great Xbox hardware
Once you’ve used a Series X console it’s painful going back to using an Xbox One X. I know because I still use a One X in another room. Downloading games and updates from the store is way way faster on the Series X even though both consoles are connected to the same internet connection and are hard wired. It must be something to do with having an SSD in the Series X.

I’ve no loyalty to any particular console as I am fortunate to have them all and can experience all of the exclusives. However I will say that if I were looking to purchase a single console today I don’t think you can go wrong with an Series X along with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. It offers such good value for money for most gamers.

The biggest disappointment with this console generation was the promise of 4K visuals at 60fps not being delivered upon. Other than that i’ve had some great experiences with this console and would highly recommend it.

    About the Xbox X
    ### Xbox Series X Review

The Xbox Series X represents Microsoft’s most powerful and ambitious console to date, offering a substantial leap forward in gaming technology. Released in November 2020, it has set new standards in terms of performance, design, and backward compatibility.

    #### Design and Build
The Xbox Series X sports a sleek, minimalist design that distinguishes it from previous Xbox consoles. Its monolithic black tower stands out for its understated elegance, blending seamlessly into most entertainment setups. Despite its size, the console is relatively compact for the power it packs, though it’s heavier than it looks. The cooling system is impressively quiet, a significant improvement over past consoles known for their noisy fans.

    #### Performance
Under the hood, the Xbox Series X is a powerhouse. It features a custom AMD Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2 GPU, capable of delivering up to 12 teraflops of processing power. This translates to stunning 4K gaming at up to 120 frames per second (fps), making games look incredibly sharp and smooth. Even on a 1080p display, games benefit from supersampling, offering noticeable improvements in visual fidelity.

The quick resume feature is a game-changer, allowing you to switch between multiple games almost instantly without losing your progress. Load times are dramatically reduced thanks to the custom NVMe SSD, making the experience of jumping into games far more seamless.

    #### Backward Compatibility and Game Library
One of the strongest features of the Xbox Series X is its backward compatibility. The console supports thousands of Xbox One, Xbox 360, and even original Xbox games. Not only do these games work on the Series X, but many are enhanced with better load times, improved resolution, and higher frame rates.

The library of available games is vast, and with the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, players have access to a massive collection of first-party and third-party titles, including new releases on day one. This service is a significant selling point, offering exceptional value for both casual and hardcore gamers.

    #### Controller
The Xbox Series X controller might look similar to its predecessor, but it comes with subtle yet impactful improvements. The new controller features a textured grip, a more responsive D-pad, and a dedicated Share button for easy capture and sharing of gameplay moments. It’s comfortable, familiar, and continues to set a standard in ergonomics and functionality.

    #### User Interface and Ecosystem
The user interface on the Xbox Series X is snappy and easy to navigate, though it remains largely unchanged from the Xbox One. While some may have hoped for a more revolutionary update, the continuity makes it familiar to long-time Xbox users. The integration with Microsoft’s ecosystem, including Xbox Live, Game Pass, and the ability to stream games to other devices via xCloud, adds further value to the console.

    #### Conclusion
The Xbox Series X is a formidable console that sets a high bar for the current generation of gaming. It excels in performance, offers unmatched backward compatibility, and is bolstered by the incredible value of Xbox Game Pass. While it may not have as many exclusive titles as its competitors at launch, the Series X is clearly built for the long haul, with the potential to dominate as more next-gen titles are released. For those seeking the ultimate gaming experience with cutting-edge technology, the Xbox Series X is a must-have.

    The Ultimate Gaming Beas
I’m absolutely loving my Xbox Series X Console, but I do want to warn others about one thing: it’s BIG.

I was expecting a slightly larger size compared to the previous Xbox consoles, but this thing is MASSIVE! It’s actually so big that it won’t even fit under most TV units – mine wouldn’t even come close. In fact, it’s currently sitting on the floor next to my TV unit, taking up a whole chunk of space.

That being said, I think the size is actually kind of necessary for all the advanced tech and features they’ve packed into this console. And let me tell you, it’s worth it. The performance is lightning-fast, the graphics are stunning, and the controller is comfortable to hold.

I’ve been playing games non-stop since I got it, and I’m loving every minute of it. From Halo to Forza Horizon 5, everything looks and plays like a dream. And with the new Xbox app on my phone, I can easily share game clips and photos with friends.

One thing to note: if you’re planning on putting this console under your TV, forget about it. Just be prepared for the fact that it’ll take up some extra space in your room. In my case, it’s now a permanent resident on the floor next to my TV unit.

Overall, I’m so happy with my Xbox Series X Console that I’d recommend it to anyone who’s a serious gamer. Just be aware of the size factor, and plan accordingly!

    **Pros:**

    * Comfortable controller design
    * Massive storage capacity (with expandable options)

    **Cons:**

    * BIG size – won’t fit under most TV units and takes up some floor space

Overall, I’m extremely happy with my Xbox Series X Console. It’s a powerhouse of a gaming console that delivers on its promises and then some. Just be prepared for the fact that it’ll take up some extra space in your room!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersPlayStation gamer for years, why I turned to Xbox
For years I have played PlayStation, since the PSone era, so why did I go to Xbox? One game changed it for me, Flight Simulator with the new Flight simulator due later this year. PS not offering any gaming experience like it. But Xbox pass is so much better than the monthly offering of PS, offering more games to play. I never thought I would get used to the controller, but I actually prefer the Xbox controller offerings by a country mile. Not only is the console more powerful, I notice that my resolution and graphics appear sharper and more crisp. I also like the looks better, it’s smaller and just doesn’t look out of place. The one and only downside is that you can’t record your voice whilst doing video captures, you have to link to a PC which isn’t overly complicated. Now one of the biggest pluses is the remote play, easier to set up, quicker and much much more reliable than the PlayStation remote play. Big big plus!! Xbox have caught PS up and in my view they are ahead on what they offer, don’t just get sucked into what you have always known, take the plunge and enjoy a new and better gaming experience. I do not regret my decision and neither will you.

    Xbox X
Difficult to be enthusiastic about a large black, loaf of bread sized, monolith…. especially when the designers had such great ideas with futuristic looking builds during development, but simplicity and cost won the day. That’s why the memory is so tight, when you consider that new games will be huge in graphics etc. I added a seagate memory card, which just plugs in the back old school. Very expensive way of going on too.
The console I received was fairly easy to setup with the startup programme. I was able to go into the settings and change and personalise. The homescreen was from my Xbox One, so nothing spectacular to show I’d remortgaged my house. Slightly underwhelming, but then I found myself pouring through fault forums and the help settings because I had ‘power cycling’ issues and then(probably sun spots) it wouldn’t startup and stay on!!… Oh No!!… I knew it…. Probably thrown about in the delivery van!!…. Etc etc rant, worry…. Swearing… Give up!?!….. I then discovered that, because it didn’t have the big power monitor cable, the Xbox X has an internal power safety trip for adverse fluctuations that can be reset by unplugging the power cord for 10 seconds. Hooray…. It worked!…… Now my only issue was using the controller to fire it up. No matter how I set the power setting.. The fix was only temporary….. Next day same issue again…. Aaaargh!!… The forums showed this is an issue and probably a bad switch or in need of servicing….. Brand new!!…..WHAT!!…i left it on overnight to install the lego star wars series… Brilliant fun….. and while at work the next day, my partner saw it on using electricity….. Switched it off at the button on the console……now it works fine with no problems!?!….. How annoying!…..Further on this note;the ability to turn the X on with the controller on some consoles seems to not have a definitive answer, but I have found that going into settings and power options and selecting sleep mode…… and then going to turn off console /shut-down now…. Actually works so far and I can use the controller to start up from sleep mode….. Pheeeeew!
At least I can chose games without the ‘not playable on this console’ message…. hooray…. So, the actual console being dull, unless you look down on it, is beautiful inside.. When it’s working properly!?!

    A great box of tricks.
I love this machine. I’ve got a 360 slim which i will always love and an xbox one s, which has done its job well. But then, being a gen x gamer and not always at the forefront of purchasing the latest console/games these days decided to get Elden Ring which (Apart from Rennala) I have to say is a masterpiece. Sadly the S was struggling with the load put on it and UPGRADE!! was screaming at me. So it was a toss up between this and a PS5, also a great machine but because of my back catalogue I went for the X. As previous reviewers have mentioned, ITS FAST. It runs ER very smoothly or equivalent to a GTX 2070. Very quick, maybe a little stutter in the dense forest areas but other than that brilliant for its price tag. Fast load times also.. My S took ages to load when travelling between sites of grace, now its a few seconds.
So thank you Microsoft. Its a cracking piece of kit and for me, an absolute bargain for what you get. I highly recommend.

    My Exclusive Machine
I only play exclusives on Xbox. It’s a great console.

Quick resume is unrivalled in the console space. You can have multiple game states running in the background and pick them up exactly where you were at any point.

The controller is also unrivalled, in my opinion. As someone who uses PS5 for 90% of my time gaming.

Great console, for me a step up from the xbox one
A little big, but black and blends in, great graphics and sound. i have a PS4 which i like better, but for xbox games the wonderful feature is that it supports a lot of older games and when it upgrades them, some have better graphical detail. overall i am happy with this console.

Slight issue with the controls other than that Amazing console, great pricing.
I have a slight issue I have with the controller. The right stick feels like it has some sand in it when you push it up? Definitely not normal. I might have to look into buying a new controller which isn’t ideal :/

Apart from that, everything is good! I’m really happy with it.
