This is a great backpack. I ordered it with shopping in mind from where I usually take a coolbag for refrigerated and frozen foods, they can often turn out heavy from adding fresh juice bottles and 4 pint bottles of milk. By now being able to carry a heavier load on my back will be much easier and also frees up the hands and arms for carrying more bags when walking back to the car.

It’s main function as a cool bag also makes it ideal to use for a picnic or cold refreshments, ideal to use with coolpacks. As well as the main insulated cool compartment which is a good size there are many other additional pockets (none of which are insulated) so loads of extra space for carrying or stowing extra items and can fit a bottle of wine in each mesh side pocket.

There is also the added bonus of a small bottle opener attached to one of the shoulder straps. I really like it, it is good quality and well made and looks smart too, like a regular plain backpack. I have the option of using it for shopping or using it as a coolbag for picnics which i am pleased about. 34.99 (at the time of review) is a bit expensive but It is good quality and a well thought out design, I should get a lot of use out of it.

This bag is very comfortable to wear despite a heavy load! Its spacious, compact, sturdy and has good quality zips and buckles. The bag is made of a nice quality fabric that doesn’t look cheap and plastic. We have used it a few times and we are very pleased.
Definitely would recommend this cooler bag.

Ideal for trips away, the insulation means it be great for prolonging life of food out of the fridge, leak proof and plenty of little storage pockets for whatever usually takes up pocket space! Good quality and very convenient to use

This bag honestly is a game-changer, I traveled abroad, went on hikes, climbed mountains, went to the beach, got married there. And that damn bottle of water would always stay cold inside … Perfect insulation the biggest bonus for me is that it is accepted by Ryanair strict bag policy no problem and I could put tons of stuff in it, enough for 7 days of travel. However, it won’t win you any fashion contest.

    A new partner in life

On the whole I am very satisfied with this. I haven’t tried it with hot food yet, but it kept milk and other drinks suitably cool when we were camping.
It is well designed and made from good sturdy material and is comfortable to carry.
One excellent feature is that you can pull the lining of the main section out so that it is easy to clean.
One small negative point — the sections for crockery are plate sized rather than bowl sized. This may take on importance on winter walks if one wants both soup and coffee.
At under 30 it is excellent value for money.

I’m surprised at the very high quality of this bag. My daughter turned up at camping with a high end cool bag that had cutlery in the front. This one is almost identical but without the cutlery and at half the price so it’s great value for money.
The zips I think are a mixture of metal and plastic.
Fabric quality is superior to anything else I’ve tried.
The back is thickly padded so will be comfortable to carry. The straps are also padded but not as much.
There is a top flap plus a zipped flap underneath.
I think it’s an excellent cool bag for the money and I’d recommend it.

    Fabulous cool bag

Used this bag for a family picnic during last bank holiday weekend. The inner lining of the main pocket is made waterproof material which can be wiped clean. I had put in half a bag of ice and then two big bottles with water and juice. Both the bottles were super cool after 3-4 hours of being packed. There was plenty of ice cubes left which means the cold temperature was maintained. There was no leakage from any side of the bag. But for some reason, I bent down while carrying the bag on my back and a bit of water did leak from the top zip. As a result, I had to take it off my back.
I have not used it to store any hot food but as in my case it preserved the cold, I assume it would do the same with hot food.
It is easy to carry with the backpack straps which has bottle opener sewed in it which is pretty handy.
In all, a great cooler bag but one needs to keep it upright to prevent any accidental leakage.

    What a handy backpack!
This has pockets for cutlery and a couple of plates at the front, pockets at the sides for drinks and more pockets for all sorts of snacks as well as the main bag itself…which is insulated! What more could you want!
Absolutely perfect for a day at the beach or park.
It doesn’t come with any ice packs so you need to make sure you pop those in yourself (if you’re keeping stuff cool) but that’s not a big issue in my opinion.
There is a good amount of space in the bag, but it’s not incredibly wide so some people may feel that it’s a little restrictive.
Overall I’m very happy and find it comfortable to carry too.

    Great picnic backpack!

A great cool bag which is good in size, but will certainly meet yours needs if you’re a small family going for a day trip. Coolness lasts most of the day as well.

Large smart looking cool bag, many pockets and zips, space for knives and folks, salt and pepper (picnic essentials)
Very durable feel to the bag, comfy to wear.
Arrived in its own dust bag which is a nice touch.
Straps can be clipped around your front for extra support.
Used to transport beers to a friends house it kept them ice cold, recommend using an ice pack for extra coolness.
Can be used for anything really as it looks like a normal rucksack from the outside.

    Quality

We drove in the sweltering heat for 7 hours, plus a few ice cubes, everything stayed cool and the frozen items were still frozen! Ideal size The zipper works well and can be folded flat when not in use. Very sturdy and very satisfied.

This is the best cool bag i have ever owned. I have used it twice now. Once to go to the beach . We had plenty of space for a diversity of food plus space for some cooling pouches to keep the food nice and fresh. It’s very light to carry around.
Second time, we did a picnic at the park. Same pleasant experience. Easy to clean with wipes.
I have tried different cooling bags and this is the best. 100% recommend

    Is it a backpack?
    Is it a wine cooler?
    Well it is both.
The backpack is so big but manageable.
Ideal for taking on a picnic, ok, not too far!!!!
This backpack will easily take your food and your wine/beer.
It also has a neat bottle opener on one of the straps. Quality.
With a separate compartment for cutlery this bag ticks all the boxes.
    Love it.

It is a must if you are visiting Alton Tower, Thorpe Park or any amusement park as food is very expensive. This bag is fantastic to keep food and water bottles cool all day. It is lightweight to carry, not sure it will be lightweight if you were just putting a lot of drinks in it. Easy to fold away in the suitcase, didn’t take up all the room. The handles are adjustable and well padded for extra comfort. The build quality is excellent. Highly recommended!

I’m really impressed by this backpack cooler bag. It’s a multi purpose bag where a lot of thought has gone into the design and it has mesh inserts, elasticated bands, pockets etc to allow the user to carry bottles, cutlery, plates as well as food or other items.

The main compartment is huge and with careful packing, will easily hold enough food for a family and keep it chilled through the day. It’s easy to access compartments where you keep drinks without disturbing the main chill area and as long as the zips are closed, it remains cold. I placed three ice pack bags at the base of the main compartment. They used little room but kept the temp really cold all day, even when it was hot.

It’s very well made, comfortable to wear with broad shoulder straps which are adjustable. It looks like a backpack and is really practical. Very highly recommended.

Keeping food warm, or drinks cold when you are out for a long walk or a picnic can be a challenge. I wish I had had this on our recent visit to the Scottish highlands. We relied on cold food all the time but this would have allowed us to take cooked food and keep it warm for 4 hours. On hot days it will be great for keeping drinks cold and fridge food fresh , especially with ice packs to help it, when we are out and about.

The backpack can carry a lot of stuff – 30L should be plenty for 4 people for a day or 2 people for 2 days. the bag itself is light and comfortable to wear which certainly helps. I like the accessible side pocket for a water- bottle – very useful for hiking especially on a hot day. The side pockets with cutlery holder are very useful for odds and ends as well.

This backpack is well made. The padded shoulder straps are adjustable of course, and seem built to last. The backpack is leak proof, water proof, and keeps heat inside if carrying hot items. ( I will use this for collecting take away food for sure)

The bag is very compact and small in seize like a normal backpack but does have good storage space in for most of the items you do need when going out for a picnic etc. the main compartment does not have partitions etc so you can only carry one kind of food item in there either hot or cold. It does have other compartments which are really good when it comes to organising things.

The build quality is really well and it has been been together in a good way. The straps are adjustable and with added chest strap it doesn’t put too much pressure on your shoulders. Worth the money definitely

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst of amazing size & great for picnics. Very easy to carry as it like a backpack with the adjustable, padded straps, loads of pockets to keep items in & cool. The material is grey & black with brass zips, the inside of the bag is durable & very easy to clean, the outer material is tear resistant. Their is also mesh pockets at the sides if your wanting to carry plastic cups for picnics or bottles of juice/ water etc. Their is so many uses for this cool bag like getting your shopping, camping, days at the beach, days out, hiking, skiing or even taking a walk. The bag has a front pocket which you can store your cutlery in, plates which has a Velcro strap attached to hold them in place also! Fab idea on this one, the top flap has a zip so it’s you are keeping something in their that you need quick like a first aid kit you can quickly get it without going through the full bag again great idea. Normal weight as a backpack not heavier as first thought neither. Definitely highly recommended!

Amazing, loads of space & pockets

This bag can be used as cooler bag or a normal backpack. My husband is geologist and he uses this bag for field work. When he goes to Scotland is rainy and not the best weather. This bag is perfect for the job and very durable and strong quality. The bag is waterproof inside and out. Has many compartments for accessories and holds quite a lot.
The handles are well padded for extra comfort and also adjustable. I like that the bag has nice few features such as tiny pocket on the handle for coin or money and the top part has mesh packet. The colour and design is lovely and elegant. I highly recommend it and worth it for the price.

Excellent design and durable quality and waterproof.

This must be one of the best cool bags around.

It is made of stylish grey and black material with brass zips. The main compartment holds 30 litres — brilliant for cold drinks, picnic food etc or it could even be used on supermarket trips to hold frozen food.

The front flap unzips to reveal space for cutlery and crockery. There is another small zipped pouch in the lid and mesh pockets at the sides. The bag is waterproof and leakproof and is easy to wipe clean after use.

The shoulder straps are padded to make it more comfortable to wear and the back of the back has a mesh layer for added comfort.

It seems strong and well made and is ideal for holidays, picnics, days out etc.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis rucksack/Cooler bag has a generous capacity of 30 litres and features a main compartment in the riucksack that is in essence a large cooler bag.So great for picnics and hiking and other expeditions where your principal aim is to carry food and accessories for it.The rucksack becomes a bit less good if you wanted to carry other things like paperwork/folders etc as there really isn’t the space for this as the Cooler Compartment makes up the majority of the rucksack.
As well as the cooler bag there is another 3 smaller zipped compartments. The largest of these is especially useful for picnic accessories like- cutlery.
The carry straps are adjustable, padded and well made as is the back of the rucksack, making it comfortable to carry on your shoulders.
Two mesh compartments for bottles/flasks are also provided along the side of the bag.
The rucksack/cooler bag is predominantly grey with some black and the zips are brass in colour.
All in all,a well made product that is sure to see a lot of repeat usage.

A backpack that’s also a cool bag is such a good, simple, convenient idea that I’m surprised I haven’t seen more of them.

Perhaps one of the reasons for that is that the sheer volume of it seems to reduce its effectiveness. Don’t expect the same kind of cold retention for a big backpack-full of sandwiches in this as you’ll get from a smaller (maybe 10 litre) lunch cool bag. The performance is adequate rather than amazing- unless you only half-fill the backpack, in which case the cooling effect is very strong, but of course that defeats the point of a large backpack somewhat.

Looks-wise, it’s got a very school-backpack feel, mainly thanks to the slightly stonewashed denim feel of the grey fabric. The unusual green-gold colour of the zips is oddly eyecatching against the charcoal grey. The branding is nicely discreet.

One pleasant surprise about this backpack is that when empty, it’s not all that heavy. I had assumed the thermal padding would give it a lot of mass, but to lift it, it’s barely any heavier than you would expect a normal backpack of the same size to be.

The arrangement of pockets is sensible and moderately generous. The front compartments, with sub-compartments, is quite versatile, and the extra pocket in the ‘lid’ of the bag is always a welcome touch for quick access to something. A couple of the compartments could maybe have been just a little larger ideally- that’s where the thickness of the padding has caused a little compromise I think.

Despite the fact that a cool bag this size will always struggle to be as effective as a more compact bag of the same thickness, I’m giving this bag five stars anyway. It’s well made, nicely presented, looks surprisingly smart, and the effectiveness for keeping a picnic cool is still very decent.
