Got this after being knocked off my bike. barn door after horse and all that.
picture ok in the day but you will struggle to get the number plate off the car/lorry that just missed you if your in the dark!
that said I’ve manged to get the number plates of 3 cars that came a bit too close in the day time and reported them to the Fuzz via operation snap so still worth having.

This is the first helmet camera I have bought, so I wasn’t sure what to expect and had nothing to compare it to, but I couldn’t fault it’s performance. I mounted it tightly on my helmet and found it very secure, no unnecessary wobbling of the picture at all. I was surprised how good the picture was, although the sound while riding is mostly drowned out by wind noise, but only to be expected. I like to get out for 6 to 8 hour rides generally and found the battery life to be around 3.5 hours at 1080P, this is easily worked around by turning it off when it’s not needed. Recording is easily turned on and off with helmet on. Very happy with the camera and it’s an easy 5 stars from me

I brought this for my commute to work. It’s not a great camera but it does the job of recording my journey. The picture quality is good enough to capture the important detail but pausing the video sometimes gives a clearer and more detailed image. The image jumps around a bit because the plastic bracket isn’t the best when mounted to the top of my helmet. I think the helmet wobbles a bit more because of the weight of the camera above my head, but is no big deal. The plastic parts that hold the camera on my helmet look flimsy but somehow hold the camera well.

I’ve had this for a few months now with around 4-5 commutes per week and I’ve only had two major problems. The first was the ‘white balance’ (no idea if that’s the right term) was off for one journey. The entire video was as if a light was being pointed at the lens but I had no idea that was happening until I watch the video back. I may have switched the camera on in a dark loading bay at work and then stepped outside in the sun. The second was in the rain and dense fog (one morning), which generally renders the camera useless unless I wipe the lens every few minutes (maybe to be expected).

The battery looks like it lasts at least 2 hours. I’ve had no problems with the memory card.

I have no intentions on replacing this for my commute but I wouldn’t use it when riding around an off road trail through a forest.

Easy to use. Simple setup. 32G card covers a reasonable amount of recording at 1080P

I am impressed by the quality of the recording and build quality of the camera.
The plastic bracket that holds the camera does feel flimsy and I don’t think it will last long.

This camera is not suitable for recording at night or in low light. I tested it at night and all it records is the glow from the street lights and the rest of the screen is black.
Overall I would recommend this and for the price it is good value. Only the plastic bracket let it down.

These work well. We have been using them for some time as helmet cameras for our motorcycles and demountable units for classic cars. One developed the fault of freezing the video half way through whilst still recording the audio. What will kill it is the battery will go U/S after a period of time, say about 18 months with reasonably extensive use. The video quality is not half bad. The microphone is inside the weatherproof case so is next to useless but we simply take the back cover off if its used inside a car or in good weather. Even then the audio is not brilliant. That said, it’s good value for money and certainly worth trying. Personally I wouldn’t be without mine as it does what we need.

Had some problems getting my Mac to recognize the SD card – then some issues with format (thank god for Youtube) but once you get past the slightly awful instructions it works well and the picture quality is ok for basic use – good value for what it is designed for.

Great bit of kit for the money and I have attached it to my motor bike Helmet for the added safety of those who tend not to see me coming ! Only down side is the end cap became unscrewed and I lost it at speed , not sure if it can be replaced?

The tubular design of the camera means that it fits into a vent on my cycling helmet, held securely in place using one of the supplied velcro straps and a bit of sticky back felt for padding. I haven’t used any of the attachments but they look to be decent enough quality albeit a bit on the bulky side.
I’ve also got a motorbike and my intention was to use the camera on both, but I’ve not found a secure and unobtrusive way of mounting it yet. The handlebar mount isn’t suitable due to the faring and I’m not convinced the sticky pad alone is enough to secure it to my helmet, the helmet mount is the pad and two velcro straps that loop through the helmet vents.
Picture wise, I’ve no complaint at all. I cannot comment on low light, but during the day it provides a clear and stable image, definitely good enough to capture registration plates etc. I use a 32gb micro SD card and my average ride of 80 minutes fills about a third of it. It stores the video in separate files on the card of about 3 minutes each, but I believe this can be changed. It is also date and time stamped.
The instruction manual isn’t brilliant, but there’s not much to know anyway.
Charging is via a supplied USB cable. A red light on the back indicates charge, but the blue power light also seems to come on when it’s plugged in, I tried turning it off when it’s charging, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Camera on a bicycle helmet, recording ok. The only defect is the sound of the street. In the room there is everything ok.

An action camera which is lightweight and comes with a couple of fixings for helmet or handle bar mounting. Time will tell if either is robust but so far, the helmet mount has worked fine. It’s easy to attach and feels pretty solid. Camera set up is pretty simple. Time and date setting is a little odd with a text file in the camera on board memory, but otherwise it was easy to set. Picture quality can be a little varied. One ride footage suffered considerable over exposure with almost all white image making the film indiscernible and impossible to watch. Only happened once so will keep an eye out if it happens again. That said, general use has highlighted a little difficulty in getting the exposure balance absolutely right especially with the transition from bright light to darker shade. Overall though, image quality has been acceptable. Battery life is about 3 hours which is respectable. The absence of picture stability doesn’t cause major issue, when considering models fitted with this feature are hugely more expensive so it’s a trade off that’s also acceptable. For the price it was worth it. Long term use still needs evaluating to see if performance remains adequate and no other issues manifest over time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOnce I mastered the instructions and got the video working the camera was great and did exactly what I wanted. The initial problem was unclear on/off instructions which were not obvious from the limited text supplied. Basically all that was needed was to set the mode from the back switches and press the on button until there was blue and red showing and the results were fine. I thought about using the handlebar mount (supplied) but on testing and evaluation the most useful videos were gained from use of the helmet mount – just personal preference.
Video quality is very good for the price and more than adequate for monitoring safety issues, so I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great cam but, hard to aim at your intended viewing areal, lacks the ability to view where your aiming it without taking out card & viewing it on a laptop etc, then putting card back in cam. In , out, in , out. Should not have to carry a laptop around when your mountain biking. Needs Bluetooth tech to run with phone as you can with a drone

Strengths good quality product and accessories, have used on helmet mounted on a bike ride and the resulting video footage has been excellent. Tried by mounting on back luggage rack as rear pointing camera. It worked a treat. Easy to use once I understood the instructions, see below. Resulting video was in 5 second segments, something I wanted to test and my lap top video software could easily stitch together if needed.

Weakness – instructions are not the best, But fortunately, it doesn’t need much more that plug in to charge, connect to lap top to reset the date, connect to helmet or bike in my case using the supplied fittings, select video or photo, if video select picture quality 1080 or 720, refit end cap. switch on, press start. Off you go.

Customer service was fantastic with prompt email service to answer questions and request tests etc. to resolve the problem.

Please note that my Cube bikes have a 35mm diameter handle bar and many of the handle bar fittings do not handle that diameter. So please check

I’ve been using this camera for about a month now on my commutes to work. Sits well on the upper-right hand side of my helmet, easy to use: vibrates when on and then again when recording with lights to reflect what mode it’s in, and it’s recorded all of my rides so far without any faults.

I was looking at several other cameras at 4x the price of this one and sometimes more. However, for something I’m only using for insurance purposes, this camera is ideal and ticks all the boxes. So glad I went for this one and not one of the pricier ones on the market, as I can’t see what value they would add for me.

I charge the camera before every ride so don’t know how long the battery lasts. For the price, I’m not expecting it to last multiple uses. Also, I haven’t been out in rain yet so can’t speak for how waterproof it is. However, it does seem pretty watertight.

This is a smashing little camera and the quality of the video is excellent. The sound quality is fine if you’re not moving too quickly, but no good if your on a motorbike.

I had a small issue and this was resolved quickly. The customer service was absolutely first class.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersA pretty reasonable wee camera especially for the money. Picture quality is pretty good the sound quality is not great. You get about 3 hours video from a 32 Gig card. I mounted it on my bars as my helmet did not have holes that would let me use the strap and I don’t trust just the adhesive pad on its own. Pretty happy with it so far will see how it fairs over the next couple of weeks and how the battery fairs.
