I tested this baby out in a storm at home after I seam sealed it and still got a little bit of water in one of the corners. Don’t know if it was comin in through the floor or what, but worth mentioning. I seam sealed the lower seams connected to the floor. So hopefully it’s one of those things like a cedar shake roof. It leaks a little until the wood shakes swell up from the water then it’s watertight. Maybe the sewing thread has to swell up for it to seal out the wet.

This is a small, light, compact tent. Its small. I mean really small. You won’t be able to take a lot of stuff into the tent with you. If you’ve got claustrophobia issues, or require a lot of extra in a tent to make yourself comfortable, don’t get this.
For someone who hikes a lot and needs a light tent thats easy to set up, you won’t find better. I’m so happy with this tent.

I love this tent; it’s easy to set up and does exactly what I want it to do. I have taken it on about 10 different backpacking trips and it has never disappointed- even in a full downpour overnight at Point Reyes. I stay completely dry. I NEVER have condensation issues and absolutely love when I get to sleep with the rain fly off because the full mesh sides make it basically cowboy camping but with a bug net 10/10 recommend if you are on a budget and need a somewhat lightweight te

Two children yes, two adults / you better like the person. Personally I would call these one person tents but I think all manufacturers rate there tents pretty much the same way. I bought this tent to replace my other tent because of the side entrance as of a front entrance and is was a little wider. Easy set up for one person. I don’t like the use of tie strings but for the price I’m ok with i

This turned out much bigger inside than I had expected; it fit a fair amount of stuff like backpack and gear, in addition to my full-length inflatable pad and a big sleeping bag; and I am not that small (5’8”). Very easy to assemble, does not require staking, comfortable. Lightweight (within reason). Not flimsy. Good simple tent.

Perfect for solo camping, I think you could fit two people in but it would be snug. I use a single size pallet to sleep on. Probably could fit a full size air mattress but I’m not sure about anything bigger.

This tent did well for me over the course of a 1.5 week cross country camping trip. We didn’t encounter any rain so I can’t attest to the water proofing though that is important to me. It stood up to some pretty intense winds though. I’m about 5’10 and this was decently roomy for a one person tent. My cold weather bag was basically the same size as the footprint but it’s a bulky rectangular bag. As you’d expect it’s simple to set up and take down and packs up pretty small.

Bought this for my grandson as a birthday present, it was so easy to erect, good size and he wants to have a sleepover very soon. Only snag, as usual, it was impossible to get everything back in the bag when dismantled. Shame really as the bag is very well made. Would recommend this item but you will need a bag or something to store the poles and pegs.

Purchased this tent for my 13 yr old son to use while camping with Boy Scouts. He really seems to like this tent. He has no trouble with the set up by himself. It’s light weigh great for hiking trips. Only struggle is getting it back into the carrying bag but with a little practice I think it will be fine. Would recommend this product.

Package arrived on 2/7 and I opened/set it up in my living room. Overall it was a pretty standard setup, poles are durable and easy to assemble. Most of the extra strings and rope don’t necessarily need to be used if you’re just trying to pitch your tent. One of the major downfalls is getting in and out of the tent. I stand 5’3 and while length wise I have no issues laying in the tent, laying upwards my head grazes the top of the netting. The setup for the door is nice but I have to be on my hands and knees to get in and out, regardless of how you stake the front flynet flaps. It does what it needs to in regards to usage (festival camping) but those would be my only complaints.

I have a NorthFace Stormbreak and was hoping that this would be similar, but less expensive. I didn’t end up keeping it because the edges of the tent pole sections had not been rounded and smoothed and I think they were sharp enough to wear on the elastic cord over time. Also, it is 0.7 pounds heavier and the two problems together were enough that I’m willing to pay $40 more for another NorthFace tent.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis tent is super lightweight and compact! Perfect for one person backpacking. The net top is great for sleeping under the stars on a clear night, yet holds the heat in noticeably well with the rain tarp on. Would’ve been nice to have a zipper door ok both sides, however for the price this is a great tent!

I was disappointed when I weighed the tent. it was advertised at 3.7 pounds and weighs 5 pound’s. While the construction looks good, it is a thin fabric, so I can’t see it would be very durable. It is what I would expect in a backpacking tent, but it was a question.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI purchased this tent for a quick 3-day 45-mile section hike and I couldn’t be more pleased. Not only is it lightweight, but the setup is also quick and easy.

For the price, I wasn’t expecting so many features mostly found in higher-priced gear. Like the rainfly buckles that attach to the tent, adjustable guy lines that are effortless to use, the flexible props on the 2 upper air vents, and the tent weighing 3.7 lbs (lighter if you don’t use the compression sack it comes with) to name a few.

Set up of this free-standing tent is very quick, just extend the two poles, clip to the tent, then stake down. Then attach the rainfly if needed for warmth or raining evenings. It took only a couple of minutes to pitch the tent.

The tent has one D-shaped door and the upper interior of the tent is a mesh material and the polyester bathtub and rainfly are firmer than I expected. The higher profile bathtub and the rainfly are quite rugged and waterproof.

I had to keep the rainfly on since we woke up to dense fog and mist each morning on the trail. But I didn’t feel trapped or stuffy, there was plenty of air circulation from the 3 air vents; 2 at the top and one on the lower back. And no condensation or wet spots within the tent.

Both zippers, one on the tent itself and the other on the rainfly, ran smooth and didn’t snag when opening or closing, making it painless to get in and out of the tent for a middle-of-night potty break.

There is one feature I wish was better, the rainfly door tie-backs could be longer making them easier to grasp when folding back the doorway. As well as the four additional rainfly tie-downs.

This 3-season 1 person tent is incredible. Not only does it come with features found in higher-priced tents, but it’s also easy to assemble, under 4 lbs, and great for novice backpacker/campers on a budget.

I wholeheartedly recommend this 1-person tent for anyone budget-conscious or just beginning their backpacking/camping adventures.

    Fabulous Budget-Friendly 3-Season 1 Person Backpacking/Camping Te

This tent really is a one-person (unless you’re into intense snuggling) tent, and is COMPACT and LIGHT.

It’s is fairly easy to set up. There’s nothing complicated about the procedure. The rain fly clips onto the corners of the tent (no hooks here!). However, it appears the rain fly cannot be fully set up without using a stake—the fly creates a neat “mud room” in front of the door which requires that stake for support.

I went on a November camping trip on the Washington coast, and I found this tent held up to rain and wind very well. I didn’t get wet at all. It also gets modest airflow, which is enough for preventing condensation on the walls, but not so much that it gets windy inside.

Finally, my one gripe about this is that I’m 6’1″, and while I lay down comfortably, there isn’t enough room for me to sit up even in the tallest part of the tent. This makes for kind of a claustrophobic experience getting in and out.

Overall, though, I highly recommend, especially for the price. Can’t beat it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m six foot two, 210 lbs and fit with space to spare in this tent. It is surprisingly small and yet surprisingly roomy for someone my size. Was surprised at build quality given how cheap it is. Was pleasantly surprised. It collapses into a very small bag, too. Roughly the size of 10 bagels (average sized bagels – nothing extravagant). And very light-weight.

This tent is amazing quality and easily rivals $300+ tents. A family member of mine bought a 1 man north face tent and the quality is nearly identical for not even a third of the price. It’s very durable and will withstand the elements undoubtedly. For a 1 man it has just enough height and width to be comfortable but still portable for backpacking. I sleep very comfortable in this tent. If you are on the fence, BUY IT.

Took it out for a 7 day Appalachian Trail hike thru Shenandoah National Park. It is light, extremely easy to set-up, and has enough room. For lighter weight I recommend cutting off the handles on the tent bag. I actually only took the tent roll with poles fly and 4 stakes to save weight. It come with a strap to hold the tent together without the bag. I would recommend this tent to anyone.

Traveling on a motorcycle requires everything be as small as practical, as light as possible, and durable as a ball ping hammer . I purchased the close-to-nature solo tent to meet all of those requirements. I use the tent almost every night on a two week motorcycle trip from Texas to Canada and back. It met all of my expectations. It’s sets up quickly and tears down easily. The provided bag is large enough for the tent, the rain fly, the poles, the stakes, and still enough room for a heavy duty ground cloth wrapped around the rolled up tent. If there was a couple of suggestions to make it would help if the ceiling was about 2-3 inches taller. I’m 6 foot and when I sit up in the tent my head rubs the roof. I can easily sit up, but wish I had a little more head room. Also, the provided inside storage net is great but I wish it would mount on either end of the tent (not just one end). I still give the tent a solid “10” out of “10”!

As many others have said, this is a well-built, fairly light weight, easy-to-set up tent. Here are the weights of the components:
    Tent: 1160 g.
    Poles: 404 g.
Stakes: 14 g. each (12 total; take what you need)
    4 guy-wires: 23 g. total
fabric bag for poles: 6 g.
I used this tent for a recent 4-day in Yosemite and was very pleased with its construction and ease of set up. With the fly on it did get warm inside during the day, but with the vestibules fully expanded and the roof vents open it cooled down nicely at night. When it got cool in the night closing the vents allowed it to warm back up comfortably. Overall, I would highly recommend this low-cost, yet lightweight tent option.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI just returned from a AT backpacking trip. It poured very hard one night and I was sure everything would be drenched. I was so happy in the morning to find the tent stayed dry inside, nothing was wet.
This tent is a perfect one person tent. Super easy to assemble and repack. Kept me dry and warm and fit inside my backpack easily. It is also lightweight. I would recommend this tent to anyone backpacking.

I took this on a motorcycle camping trip and it held up very well. If you sit up while inside the tent, you’ll have to be exactly in the middle or your head will touch the top of the tent. I’m 5’9″ and I barely had room sitting up. But laying down was perfect. Plenty of room. If you’re 7 foot tall, you won’t fit laying down.

I used this tent for the first time a couple weeks ago on a 3-night trip in Yosemite. The weather was nice so did not use the rainfly. The tent is a great value. It is short for me (I’m 6′ 3″), even though the dimensions say it should be long enough. The problem in the angle of the wall significantly reduce the usable length of the tent.

We received the tent quickly. It is lightweight for hiking and biking. It is not good for people over 6’6″. Although the interior size is stated to be 7’3″, one of us is 6’6″ and didn’t fit comfortably. Since we were unable to use the tent I have no comments on how it would hold up in windy or rainy conditions.
It looks nice set up and the zipper worked well.

This tent is well thought out. There are pockets at either end. The poles snap easily. It sets up quick and is sturdy. The guy out points along the sides and end let air move nicely, and the air vents at the top of the fly keep the air inside fresh. The vestibule is small, maybe large enough for your boots. It may be tricky to enter and exit in the rain.

It is small, but cozy. The space between the fly and tent body meant I could stuff the sides without worry about rain wicking through. It makes for a cozy feel inside.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is the best value I could find for a light weight tent. I just spent 2 nights camping in it. We had quite a bit of rain, but it stayed dry inside. It is easy to put together. I think I will enjoy it much more if I pack less to go with me next time. I packed too much anyway. I think you will have to pay a lot lot more to get a better tent. I don’t feel like paying a lot more at the moment so this one is just fine for now.

I was able to put my 55L pack at the bottom of the tent to protect it from critters. The quality matches that of more expensive tents for at least $50 less than the competition. Good value for the money, I would buy it again.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIt packs down to a size suitable for a large travel backpack and an easy set-up and take-down. The rain fly does indeed keep the interior dry from rain but not from CO2 condensation. I’d wake up in the morning to see condensation all over the underside of the cover as well as on the mesh. It dries out fast if you leave it in the sun but it will generate an odor over time. Other then that it has a nice verity of interior pockets for books and other devices. Be careful getting into and out of the tent because it’s easy to pull one or more of the stakes out of the ground and/or dislocate a poll from the ring.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis tent was really easy to assemble. It kept good heat in, and I didn’t feel like I was over-heating with humidity and heat on a moderate night 60’s F. This tent had enough room for me, my bags, and equipment, but not much else. This is strictly a sleeping tent, you can sit up straight in the center but there is a sense of restriction and even hunching over to fit. I am 5’4 and average sized. THere was moderate condensation around my head area but the rest of the tent was great. It dried quickly once I opened the tent up in the morning. Additionally, if you can anchor with tent poles, it can be free standing, just a little loose. Love my tent. Love my tent.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersI have no idea how this company did it but this tent has features found in $200+ tents. The tent material is rugged and water proof. The interior tent is mesh and the rain fly doesn’t touch the interior wall which prevents condensation from dripping onto you and your gear. It comes with vents with flexible props. The zippers are smartly placed making it easy to get in and out of the tent. The rainfly has clip in buckles that are adjustable. The guy lines are slide adjustable. The tent poles are DAC press fit and really flexible. It is a self standing tent, meaning you don’t have to use guylines to keep it from falling down and you can pick it up and move it easily. I mean, I was honestly looking at higher dollar tents and they kept showing features that this tent has.

Bonus: Clostnature now has a footprint for their tents. The one for the single person tent is only 4 ounces.

I bought this tent as a light, backpackable one-man tent. I haven’t used it over time, so I cannot yet testify on how it will hold up in either a storm or over time, however first experience is that it is designed well, is durable, light, easy to set up and break down and comes with all the necessary ties, pouches, etc. For such an inexpensive tent, i am very pleased!
