I bought this razor several years ago so I could stop using disposable razors. After short time getting used to it I love using it.
Recently when changing the blade the screw sheared off in the handle. I was upset as I really like how the razor feels to use and was worried a different razor might not suit me as well as this. Also I had expected many more years of life out of the razor.
I contacted the seller and was told that should not have happened, they are designed to last for many years. The seller sent a replacement, no questions asked.
It looks great, and has a lovely weight to it. It’s really easy to clean too. It feels as if it’s made to last. Most importantly of all – no plastic!! Shame they don’t sell their blades on Amazon too. I’m not sure what else you can say about a vehicle for a razor blade. Edit: it didn’t take long for some of the coating to come off the top part of the blade holder. Obvs it doesn’t impact the use of the razor but I bought this because I liked the look of it as much as anything else and feel very disappointed that the overall quality isn’t quite as good as it initially seemed, so Ive taken a star off my review.
Overall this is a fantastic razor. The bamboo handle is really nice and doesn’t become slippery when wet. I’ve used it for almost a year and have had no issues with it at all.
The only thing I would like to see as option for a longer handle somehow. I feel the handle is just a wee bit short but appreciate that’s down to personal preference and you will get used to it.
A really good quality razor. It gives a really good shave and is really easy to clean out any stuck hairs in razor, as you can just unscrew it and rinse out really easy and then screw top back on. The blades also last a long time. It only comes with 1 blade but you can buy some astra blades which work really well and are really cheap. The extra blades cost 8.00 for 80 and I reckon they will last over a year or maybe even 2 years as 1 blade can easily last over 2 weeks. It’s also great for the environment as none of this unnecessary plastic compared to standard reusable razors like Gillette
I’ve been trying to find an effective environmental shaving solution so I gave up on plastic disposables but the electronic options I chose had a lot of hard-to-recycle consumables too and the Philips one was useless. I was very unsure about ordering this option but it works really well and the waste product is the genuinely recyclable blades. Such a relief to have something that works.
I love that this razor has weight. This makes shaving a lot smoother and easier. I never had a razor with weight before and it was a joy to discover that shaving could be this pleasurable.
No more horrid plastic throwaways. No more horrid blister packs of very expensive proprietary multiblade swivel heads.

This is an excellent product. Comes in a very small box entirely cardboard. The razor itself is beautiful with the bamboo handle and stainless / chrome metal parts. Having used disposables for about twenty years it feels heavy in the hand but as the instructions say, you don’t need to press it into your face as its own weight is enough. Using it for the first time this morning I found it easy and caused myself no damage, I think I will get better with practice. They recommend giving it a good shake after use to get the last drops of water out of the head, make sure you grip it tightly so it doesn’t fly out of your hand.
Overall, this plus a box of blades for twenty quid total, is better value and nicer than all those disposables going in the bin.
I am using this for my head as well as my beard. Close shave. No nicks.
The two-edge blades very cheap, compared with the expensive, plastic gillette 5 blade razors. And compared with a straight-edge cut-throat, a lot easier to use, especially when shaving the back of my head.
I am ery pleased with the quality and weight and handling. The handle is made with sustainable bamboo too.

Saving the planet and saving your face! The razor itself is very well made, the bamboo handle has an ergonomic design that sits in your hand well. The weight of the head gives it a sturdy feel and helps to get a close, razor burn free shave. The blades are easily replaced, just unscrew the top and place the blade in, then screw it back together. I bought this with 100 blades, at 4.99, that’s a lot less than 18 for 8 fusion blades! I have quite a tough beard and the Gillette blades would last 3 or 4 shaves for me before being blunt, I’ve only used 2 of the 100 blades so far! Get this razor, save money, the planet and your face! You won’t regret it and you won’t look back!
I did not receive an instruction leaflet and it wasn’t really clear that you need to buy blades seperately but this is better than electric shavers because I don’t get smooth results from then and I am so glad I have smooth legs now because I have been using electric shavers for a while and had forgotten what smooth skin feels like so 5 stars. Its also great that I can buy a pack of 100 blades for about 6 here on amazon and that would last a long time so its perfect.

I store mine in its box to keep it safe and purchased a blade bank for all of my spent blades which means once full it can all go into recycling safely, and the bank is big enough to hold up to a years worth of blades.

Wow…What a difference! Tried this razor for the first time and it is so smooth and easy to use compared to the conventional razors.
Best purchase ever! This razor/blade is INCREDIBLY sharp, so the first time you need to go very slowly and keep the correct angle (it’s not like those disposable Gillette blades). It gives an incredible shave. I was skeptical about shaving because I have been either waxing or epilating since I was a teenager, but I just tired of having to buy the waxing strips all the time, and my epilator just gives me a lot of ingrown hair/strawberry legs. Not very nice to look at. I only shave when my legs are on show (which, if you live in cold UK, is not very often) so this works perfectly. I was expecting to see regrowth the day after I shaved, but that didn’t happen until 3 or 4 days after! Very pleasantly surprised. And no ingrown hair, because the blade is incredibly sharp (not like those plastic Gillette razors). Buying a pack of 100 blades is also cheap enough, and being steel you can recycle them! (Unlike disposable razors). The razor itself will last me my whole life, but should I ever want to dispose of it, you can also recycle it. Great for the planet, great for your skin. Just be careful the first time you shave as you will not be used to how sharp it is.
I have always used Gillette blades but always got razor burn , so decided to go “old school ” and try a safety razor and blades . They are tricky to use at first but the difference is amazing , no more burn or spots after a shave . Use a good quality shave CREAM and use short strokes for a nick free shave
Nice construction, easy to use, might take a bit of getting used if you normally use disposable razors. Even with premium blades it works out far cheaper in the long run than disposable razors. I use coconut oil to shave with and no longer get any nicks or cuts.

Very beautiful razor. But difficult to use. You need time and patience.
The first time I have used it I did not do enough research and I got cut up pretty badly on the head.
Now that I have learned to use the DE razor I can say that it is amazing.
If you are shaving the head I would recommend a pre shave oil, really good foam and a good aftershave cream.
It takes a bit of practice after using disposable razors but once you get used it it it’s brilliant. Plus no waste , only the recyclable blade.

I’ve been looking for new safety razor for a while , and in the end chose this and wasn’t disappointed, the build quality is excellent although alittle heavy compared to others , it feels like it’s bulletproof , if you haven’t used a safety razor before they take a few shaves to get used to but if you don’t apply too much pressure and let it glide across your face you be fine after 2 or 3 shaves , but far and away the closest shave you will get bar none , treat yourself you won’t be disappointed

I really enjoy safety razors, they give a good shave and can save you a lot of money on new blades compared to cartridge razors. I also find the single blade is easier on my skin, I don’t think I’ve had a shaving rash since using one!
My only issue with this particular product is that the bamboo handle has split down its length. It hasn’t compromised the grip or anything, but its a doesn’t look as good as it did when I first bought it. I imagine its split due to the constant cycling between wet and dry over time.

i’ve had the razor for a month and have no complaints. It’s serves it’s purpose well and although concerned about safety initially its as clean and safe as a multi blade ‘modern’ razor. I got this one because i just don’t want to use anything with plastics in it and bad for the environment. My father had his for his whole life, i intend to have this one a long time. It has a beautiful bamboo handle.

Honestly, buy this. And a set of decent stainless steel razor blade replacements (I bought a pack of 100 and a couple of years later I’m nowhere near through them) and you’ll buy another razor again.

You only need one decent, sharp razor blade, and the knowledge of how to use this Safety Razor (which you properly acquire after a few uses) and you’ll never find anything that cuts closer (other than a barber’s razor? which in principle, is the same thing as this without the safety features.)
Who’d have thought it? One blade, properly used, gives the smoothest shave you’ll ever have. They knew it in the 1900s and it still holds true today. No amount of marketing will change this.
In a time when you have to be conscientious of carbon footprint and waste that ends up in the oceans, the practically billions of people using disposable razor heads of plastic razors – the one simple act of purchasing a lifelong razor is a very tiny, but doable step towards helping reduce waste worldwide. Really, purchasing this, or a safety razor in general, should be a social responsibility.

I was worried about using a safety razor, but once it’s set up it’s really no different to a normal razor, except crazy better value in the long run because you can cheaply pick up the replacement blades. I’m very happy and encouraging others to make the change!
I’m pleased with this razor, which I bought following many years of having a full beard. This was prompted by the need to make my facial hair more mask compatible.
The bamboo handle has a pleasant texture and is not too skinny, as many metal handled razors seemed to be. The simple design makes cleaning and blade changes straightforward, there is nothing complex or fiddly to go wrong. The plating on the two parts of the head is holding up very well, but I am meticulous with cleaning and drying after every use.
I’ve found the razor to have the perfect angle, after years of trying different makes and models.
As per headline, this is, in my opinion a superb razor and it glides across the face soooo easy.
I do use a brush and shaving cream rather than the squeeze stuff, so that also helps give a smooth shave anyway.
o far only cut myself once and if was my fault for attacking face at an angle.
Comes with a single blade, which lasted a reasonable amount of time. I use the recommended ones now. Not sure what difference that makes, but they do the job well.
Anyway, to cut long story short, I can recommend this razor.
I’m never going back to cartridge razors again! I gave up shaving and grew a beard nearly a decade ago, I couldn’t justify the costs and waste associated with shaving. I recognize that some of the shave quality is the blades themselves so make sure you get some good ones! It’s well worth it and so much cheaper in the long run. The razor itself is solid and heavy which helps, very happy with it.
I would call this ridiculously good quality for the price. Its heavy and feels like its made to last the years. The design is sleek and really nice looking, the bamboo handle itself looks like something you would pay much more money for. Gives an effortless shave. 5 stars.

Great razor well balanced, gives a all round great shave shave, gives close shave but not to aggressive, environmental friendly I have also shaved my head with this razor no cuts just glides , in my humble opinion I found the best blades to use are the Astra premium.
Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews this is the best razor I have ever bought. Bought one for my brothers birthday and he loves it. Treated myself to one once all the nasty disposable razors had been finished with and did lots of research of what was the most sustainable razor and came to this. Read a lot of reviews and people have said it’s dangerous and has left them bleeding with lots of cuts! Well yeah it’s sharp and if you press on I can only imagine but you don’t need to put hardly any pressure on it’s accurate very sharp and does the job brilliantly leaving the area lovely and smooth and hair free just what you want!!!

All you have to do is renew the blade and they come in large packs very cheap.
The blades themselves can be buried in your garden under the soil and will quickly rust and breakdown back into the earth!!! It’s fantastic. It looks so smart as well just love the feel of the natural wood and it’s natural pattern!
Fantastic razor! Takes a little practice to hold at the right angle, but doesn’t take long to get the knack. Clean shave with no irritation. Feels good not using nasty throw away razors. The wooden handle fits nicely in hand. I just give the handle a quick wipe with a towel after use and leave it somewhere to dry. Very pleased with this product and the price was very good.
Bought it for my partner and she loves it. Says its easy to use because it has a bigger handle than the normal double edge razors and its still well balanced.

I’ve had it for a while now and it’s amazing, no razor cuts. No nothing, it’s absolutely amazing. Especially for a beginner user (this is my first razor I’m a teen) the blades last for ages, you can even sharpen them if don’t want to buy a new one. It’s amazing

So far seems to be the best safty razor I have. Easy to use, perfect design and condition smooth shaving! I dont know how durable will be buts seems to be value for money from what I have seen so far!
I purchased this as I was getting more and more annoyed by the cost of disposable blades and the rashes caused by using electric razors. I have used this for 3 months now and I don’t think I would go back, the shave is so clean and as long as you are careful it doesn’t nick half as much as I found disposables did. My tip would be not to put any pressure on it as you shave, let it just glide over and you will find you are much less likely to cut.
I hate plastic and this razor was purchased in the hope that both myself and my partner could use it. It takes a moment to adjust your razor handling and shaving moves, I’ve never had any issues with using this razor. It’s heavy and well balanced, easy to hold in the shower. A great investment.
First off, the packaging was great, no plastic waste which Is what i was looking for. The feel of the handle is amazing, cant beat a bamboo grip, plus everytime I pick it up it’s warm to touch. I have noticed that if you screw the top on too tight, it can get stuck and be a pain to remove, so watch out for that. As for shaving with this? It’s hard to get used to, and you must have a good technique (youtube can help) or else it will cut. But I can 100% say I have never had a closer shave, it’s also quite satisfying and makes shaving fun once you get better at it. I highly recommend this handle to anyone like me who is trying to cut down on plastic use, for blades I suggest you use Treet super platinum or Astra super platinum, ( both use little to no plastic, Treet is a little sharper but that does not mean better).

I was worried about using this for the first time as I have only ever used disposable razors. But I found it easier to use than those. It is not the same though and the head is in fixed position. Do not apply pressure when using it as the natural weight of it is enough to give a smooth finish. I did my armpits with no problem too. Very happy.

I cut myself every now and then but honestly I did that with a plastic razor (I’m clumsy).
Make sure you watch tutorials on how to use it if you feel unsure, change the blade frequently and keep it dry when it’s not being used!

What can I say other than brilliant such a close shave and very nice to use. The feel in your hand is great glides like a dream and the fact it’s double edge is brilliant. Well worth the money.
I was a regular Joe like everyone else duped into paying out waste sums of money to the Gillette regime for their over priced blades.
Now I am free and Greta would be proud of me! I really enjoy shaving with this and with traditional soap stick that comes with the large pack of blades which you have to buy once in a blue moon is just the business.
Tip, let the blade drift over your face – force it and you will get a few nics. Do it – free yourself !and feel better for it.

Well made shaver and a good looking one, too. Easy to strip and clean. Very close and neat shave as you would expect from a razor. Takes standard size razors. Doesn’t come with tonnes of plastic. If you haven’t used one of these before, read the instructions first, please. It is very sharp.
Idk why people use those 3 bladed plastic tings that get clogged up during use. This works so much better and easy to clean.
Never used one of these before but this one does the job far as I can see. It came with one razor blade and I was able to buy a small pack of new blades from my local health food shop but they kept it behind the counter (understandable)… Using it was hard the first few times, much like using a multi-blade plastic one, it’s like learning again. Now I’ve learned how I’m happy to use it anywhere I’d use a normal razor.
it really feels like its designed with the user in mind – its easy to use, easy to clean, cheap (i bought 100 blades for about 5), looks good, not loads of waste. i never realised how much disposable razors are designed with the only goal as being to make money for companies.
I bought this for my 21 year old son as he wanted a “proper” razor. He was really pleased and after a few tries, he’s now got the knack of using it without cutting himself! He won’t go back to his old type razor.
I’ve used all different types of razors and I have to say how pleased I am with this one. It’s heavy and long and the quality is up at the top with Wilkinson etc. I was concerned with what looks like a big gap between the blade guard and the blade itself but it cuts beautifully. No issues what so ever. Just used foam and it did glide quite easily over 6 day stubble. Beautiful to look at and use and the chrome finish is nice. Comes presented nice in a box so would make a great gift.
Well made and quite solid feeling razor. Easy to take apart and clean too. Using good quality blades, you can save a fair amount of money instead of buying the overpriced Gillette and Wilkinson cartridges. Pleased all round.

It’s easy to use once you get the technique, very comfortable and high quality plus the blades are cheap and easy to replace plus leave little waste.

Described as long handled, it is only a little longer than standard afety razors, perhaps about 10mm longer. This however, happens to make it a Perfect fit for a larger hand. The bamboo handle looks good and feels high quality, the whole thing feels well made from good quality materials.
The packaging and item both look great. It works amazingly. I found it really difficult to get the hang of though and cut myself many times before getting it right which has made me a little scared of it. Start off slow!
I love this razor! I have been travelling around the world with it for the last year and it is still as good as the day I bought it! I use coconut oil with it and it has not tarnished at all. Used on underarms and legs. Only downside is it is a little heavy but the weight is comfortable in your hand.

I bought this because my normal plastic rabies never lasted very long and being a student I needed to find a more cost effective way to shave. Very easy to use the pressure and angle take a little bit of getting used to after using plastic razors for a while but I can take all the womanly curves. Very happy with my purchase would definitely recommend.
A beautifully designed razor that works well and looks great. This is my first safety razor – I bought it on an impulse when I was looking for a cartridge razor as it looked so good. The quality is excellent and it is really satisfying to shave with. Blades are extremely cheap – pennies rather than pounds.
Used for 2 years, love it. Best teamed with Wilkinson blades though, I cut myself a lot on Astra blades. Got my mum and sister converted now too and a lot of people are going this way now. Nice to have something of quality!!
Great product. I find this gives a far better shave than the modern 5 + blade razors. Also for the environmentally friendly folk the only waste is the metal blade which is a standard razor blade. You can also purchase these from amazon. You can get 200 for well under 10, so if you get five shaves out of each blade (as standard razor blades are usable on both sides) you can basically get 1000 shaves for 10 plus the price of the safety razor. I find it just as safe as the modern razors with minimal cuts. Great product!

Newly into safety razors here, and what an introduction it is. Using your bog standard razor has only given me years of burns and lacking results. Using this razor has helped me not only to get rid of shaving burns, but have much closer shaves. It’s a brilliant razor for the price, that I’d definitely recommend.
