Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOnce you understand how to shave with a safety razor and have passed cutting yourself; this is a great safety razor! Feels so good!
If you’ve got a few days growth, one pass with the blade will kill it all off.
Forget cartridge razors with their multiple blades. Single bladed safety razor can’t be beaten. A cartridge will cost you 2, a blade will cost you 2p per shave (4 shaves with one blade), you can buy 100 blades for 7.50.
Your face is so smooth after. If you shave properly you only have to shave every other day.
The trick is to Let the weight of the razor do the work. Do not push down like you do with a cartridge razor because it’ll be a blood bath. Short strokes while stretching the skin will do the job. Short strokes because the head doesn’t pivot. Hold the razor at 30 degrees unless stated otherwise. For a perfect shave, first shave with the grain; second, shave across the grain, then shave against the grain. Make sure you lather your face with a good quality shaving cream (not from a can). Lather up with a badger brush using a bowl until the shaving cream looks like yogurt. Then apply the cream in circles against the grain. Finish by going back and forth creating a thick even coating over the shaving area. Then shave!

I have been using double edged safety razors for years now, but this is far and away the best i have had.
The balance and weighting of the head make it effortless to shave and it glides smoothly across the face.
If you are coming to this razor from the big brand cartridge razors then you must read the instruction book as the method of shaving is different with this type of razor.
I’ve read a few other ratings on here for this product and for some reason quite a few seem to be marking it down for being blunt. But all you do is put in a new blade when the razor starts to drag a little.
    Highly recommend this

A neat safety razor. Simply buy more blades and remember – no pressure! A great shave at a cheap price and if you recycle the blades much better for the environment than cartridges.

Been using this for 2 months now and am very happy.
It gives a nice close shave with very few cuts. It is well put together with blades being easy to fit and is looking as good as the day i unpacked it.

I wanted to move away from the plastic cartridges and use a razor that’s more sustainable. Very happy I chose bambaw, after reading reviews it was the quality product I was looking for.

Happy with my first ever double edge shave, there’s less pull compared to using a cartridge system and feels like a cleaner shave all round. The razors also cost a lot less then cartridges with is a bonus.

Provides a very good and comfortable shave

Amazing item. My husband loves it. Helps us to reduce our plastic waste and gives my husband a razor for life. He boasts that it is such a close shave and couldn’t be happier with it.

Ergonomic and inexpensive safety razor and is versatile – great for dealing with hair not just on your face but also anywhere else on your body! Comes with one free razor blade which can easily be installed into the safety razor. Great product overall.

This reusable razor is really well made, I’m trying to go zero waste and reduce my plastic consumption, and this seemed like an essential item swap! It’s a bit more tricky to get in all the nooks and crannies, you do have have a bit more of a “conscious” shave, I have cut myself once, but I would say I’d cut myself more with a standard disposable razor. The handle is bamboo, you need to put a little bit of coconut oil on the handle every now and then to keep it good. I really like the fact the razor is double edged so you can flip it to carry on, overall I’m really impressed with the quality of the shave from this razor, you can get a really close shave but just need to do shorter strokes. Dont hesitate in investing in this razor – you’ll save money and save the environment too!

I bought this razor to try and cut down on my plastic usage as I used a Gillette cartridge razor before I bought this safety razor.

I wish I found out about this razor sooner because it’s one of the closest shaves I have ever had, the cost of blades for it is insanely cheap (I bought 100 Astra blades for 10) and I’ve got really sensitive skin and not once did I get a shaving rash.

People who are interested in getting this razor and never used one I highly recommend researching and watching videos on you tube on how to use a safety razor. If you was like me and never used one before it’s like learning to shave all over again. Yes it says safety razor, but that doesn’t mean it won’t cut you if you are not careful. My first shave with it took a while to do but still the results where brilliant, now I can use it really quickly so try and keep with it’s a money saver.

I had been looking into buying a safety razor for some time aware that the use of cartridge type razors is not good for the environment and costly. Gutted I waited so long, this razor is superb! Takes a bit of getting used to but once you have you’ll have the best shave you’ve ever had. Get one!

So happy about this purchase. I use it on my legs and was initially nervous about navigating ankles and knees but after having used it these worries were totally silly in retrospect. Considering how easy it is to use, how economically friendly and how low waste it is, I am honestly shocked that the standard plastic drug store razors are still as accessible as they are! I would recommend to everyone and anyone.

After weeks of thinking about buying a safety razor, I took the plunge. I decided on this one because it’s nice and weighty, which means adapting to not using any pressure feels a bit more natural, as you can just rely on the weight of the razor against your skin. The first time I used it I was scared. But (after watching some YouTube videos) I feel more confident with each use. I’ve nicked myself a couple of times but nothing major, and I think that was down to not lathering up enough soap. I wipe clean the razor after each use and use the box the razor came in to store it. It came with a blade (even though I thought the description said it didn’t) and I bought a box of blades separately that will probably last a decade! It’s definitely worth it for less plastic in the bathroom!

Update October 2021: after two years the screw has corroded and the top bit of the razor head is now broken. Will buy again as was happy with the quality otherwise. Possibly this was enviable wear and tea

Good razor but when I misplaced it I replaced with a cheap butterfly razor which shaved better and was easier to change blades. I think anyone buying this first would be very happy, it’s so much better than plastic razors for a whole range of reasons, but there are better ones available for less money in my opinion.

Bought this razor as I was sick and fed up with the price of the five blade gizzmo’s from the likes of Gillette and Wilkinson Sword where you have to remortgage the house to buy packs of new blades. This is the type of razor I first shaved with as a boy and I bought it along with a pack of 100 Astra Blades which work out at around 10p a blade big difference. Had about 3 weeks of growth as I had been growing a beard but as I was attending a family event decided to shave the whole thing off this razor and the blade tackled the growth with ease and I was left with a nice close shave in no time and very few nicks for the first time back on this style of razor. Dont let them fool you 5 blades are not better than one. Highly recommended.

Decided to change to a safety razor to reduce the use of plastics, initially the experience wasn’t much fun, and first go I looked like I’d been shaved by Edward Scissor Hands, however, this was purely down to lack of care on my part and rushing, once I slowed down and took care I can absolutely say it’s the best shave I have ever had… definitely recommend it.

I’m so pleasantly surprised by this razor. I purchased for environmental reasons, and was worried it would be awkward to use – but it’s actually quicker and easier than a disposable razor. So glad I’ve found it, won’t go back to plastic. This razor is a comfortable weight, the handle looks really nice and the packaging was plastic free. Word of warning though, the Derby shaving blades came up as a recommended purchase with this shaver for me – they are individually wrapped in plastic, so completely ruins the waste free aspect I was going for. Look instead for astra blades, which is what comes with razor and are also packaged in card instead of plastic.

I had braced myself for a period of learning how to use without cuts but it is easier than I expected, quite natural to get correct angle and pressure. Handle is nice and lasting well so far.

I bought this safety razor as I wanted an alternative to the hideous plastic disposable razors that were scattered around our bathroom at various stages of life. It arrived, it looked beautiful and it felt great to hold. There was no plastic packaging in sight. Amazing! Then I left it sitting in the bathroom for a while, admiring it but waiting until I’d used up all of the disposable razors (also if I’m honest until I plucked up the courage to try it on my armpits and legs for fear of losing a limb to the sharp blades!) I needn’t have worried though. It’s so easy to use, not a cut in sight and it actually feels really nice to hold and use too. Just hold at roughly a 45 degree angle, let the weight of the razor do the work and within minutes you’ll have the closest and smoothest shave you’ve probably ever had. No soreness, no razor rash, no cuts, no having to go over the same area multiple times.

I honestly can’t rate this razor highly enough. It comes with a nice shaving bar (that I haven’t actually had to use yet), a nice sharp blade to get you going straight away (I’ve shaved my legs and armpits several times already and haven’t needed to put a new blade in yet), it looks good, feels great, gives you a super smooth shave, has no plastic in sight (not even the packaging) and you can buy additional blades for mere pennies.

If you’re considering the switch to a safety razor then this is the one for you!

Love this so much. Was scared to use it at first but once you’ve cut yourself once you realise how hard that is to do and now I shave as fast as I used to do. The shaving lasts literally twice as long as plastic razors with multiple blades and the blades are so much cheaper, 24 including the actual razor itself is literally a year’s supply of shaving so I’m glad I made the switch and cut down plastic

I bought this for my husband as we are trying to move away from using plastic where possible. He says he wishes he’d done it years ago. Was a little weary of getting a safety razor as I’d heard they could be difficult to use, this though is a dream. I’ve found it no different to using a disposable razor. It’s safe and easy to use on legs, armpits and bikini area. It’s also so much better for the planet! Would highly recommend!

    Love this razor!

This is the first single blade razor i have used, switching from the calssic gilette cartridge razors. I spent months researching, reading reviews and trying to understand the how aggrsssive the shave angle is etc. In my uneducated view, it is all bunkum. I got bored trying to find one and bought this on a whim, and I have never looked back. I have also demonstrated it to my older brothers who have also bought them.

I used to get very bad razor rash, and this has made a substantial difference. Blades need changing more often than a cartridge, but its a lot cheeper to do so. I have found that it makes a big difference shaving after a hot shower and using decent soap.

I love this razor. I watched a few videos and read a fee articles about using a safety razor before using for the first time. It is surprisingly easy to use and when I worked it out will save me a lot of monry in the long run. I was using plastic disposables (venus) which cost 12+ a month ish the blade refills for this are pennies and recyclable. I can’t believe they’re not mainstream but hopefully more people will start trying and be convertered! I’m never going back!! I do need a little more practice on the underarm to get a smooth nickless finish but it leaves my legs silky smooth & soft!

I bought this because I wanted to stop using disposable plastic razors, and it was a great investment. The closest, cleanest shave I’ve ever had: no cuts, no rawness. It brought home just how blunt the blades in the disposable razors are. It was very easy to insert the blade, and no problem with using the razor itself. Just make sure to disassemble it after each use, to wash the blade (without cutting yourself) and then drying all the parts to prevent rusting.

Excellent product. I purchased for the zero waste and plastic free reason many of us are turning to these days. It’s a lovely item that is very well made. I have a partiality to items made of wood. It’s the first time I’ve used this type of razor favouring the usual easy blade lady razors but this worked surprisingly well. It’s just a matter of figuring out the right angle and pressure. First shave went well (only one little cut) but pleased with the results. More practice will improve the experience. And it didn’t leave my skin so dry which was nice as well. Lovely and smooth.
For the cost of the shaver it’s a really good item. The blades to replace are cheap and readily available so no running out there. A one off cost that is overall more cost effective and this will last for years to come over a new plastic one every few months. Pleased as punch with that.

Good looking razor handle, performs as one might expect. Handle itself is made of three parts, the bamboo handle and two plates which sandwich the replaceable blades between them. Material seems reasonable quality, lower plate wicks away excess shaving cream rather well and the handle itself is nicely weighted.

Pretty impressed, a very comfortable to use razor.

  35. Anonymous says:

Got a good weight to it- barely any friction from the steel head so it doesn’t burn, and you don’t need to keep going over bits because it pretty much gets them on the first go. Far better value for money than replacing the head each time you need a new blade.

My first safety razor so I can’t compare it to others of its kind but, I can say this: wow. Who thought you could actually enjoy shaving? The technique is easy to pick up: hold light (very), short strokes, and take your time! Invest in some really good shaving cream (TOB?) and a nice brush and enjoy. Just don’t rush. I’ll never go back to cartridges again, I wish I could get my money back from them.

Really chuffed with this product. I have been using a double bladed gillette razor for about 15 years. I finally decided to experiment as I was concerned about how much plastic I was throwing away every week this way. I have thick facial hair so those blades only last about 3 -4 shaves for me. I had never tried the old fashioned single removable blade system. It is so much better. The stubble does not clog the razor in 3 strokes if you have not shaved for a few days and the shave is so much closer. Best of all You can simply use each side of the razor once and dispose of it with little environmental guilt if you need to. The construction of this this razor is robust and aesthetically pleasing. Also stupid thing to say but it is really well presented in the box and includes extra razor and some stylish traditional shaving soap (which I did not actually use) but it was a nice touch. All in all an excellent shopping experience.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this razor in Sept ’18 and every time I use it it feels like I never had any hair in the first place.

I suffer from patchy shit facial bumfluff stubble that even after shaving with a Gilette piece of shit stays as tiny grains on the face so I bought a pack of 100 blades that Amazon recommends buying with this. I reuse each blade about three or four times, unscrewing the mechanism and flipping the blade over to use the other side after the second or third use – just to get the most out of the blade, but nothing feels quite like a fresh blade. Baby’s bottom, baby.

Works with or without foam. I personally shave with just hot water after showering and that relaxes the pores enough for this to do its thing without doing any damage.

I’ve also only used this on my face, but go ahead and try it out on a ball if you’re looking to improve your aerodynamics.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersVery pleased with so far! Took it straight out the box and managed to figure out how to attach the blade within about 10 seconds, have never had a safety razor before, but it was that easy. (It does have a QR link on the box to instructions for beginners, but I didnt bother). Mine came with 1 blade securely wrapped in tissue paper. I think the handle could be slightly longer, but it is a nice shape and isn’t slippery to hold when wet. It also looks nicer in my opinion than most of the metal handled razors. The razor head is quite heavy. I like that you can use both sides of the razor blade. Very close shave, so effortless, no snagging of skin or shaving rash like with a disposable. Not a single cut on my first shave. (You don’t need to apply pressure, just let it glide and do its thing.) Also it doesn’t seem to get clogged up with hair like the multiple blade ones do, it rinses clean really easily, so it was actually quicker to shave my legs with this. I used to use a women’s gilette/Wilkinson sword but I got fed up of buying the expensive replacement 4 blades and a new razor handle every so often (which was also all plastic). Hoping this will last me a long time, and the only waste is the blade itself when that needs to be changed. It came in a nice wood effect sturdy cardboard box which I will reuse as a gift box. Would recommend!

Golden Review Award: 99 From Our UsersI brought this as I wanted a zero plastic alternative to disposable razors. It’s definitely more cost effective than my Venus razor as 100 blades costs about 8, which is far less than a pack of new Venus heads. Plus, on each blade you get two sides so when one side gets blunt you just switch to the other. When I started using it I was a little nervous about the whole blade thing, I was cautious at first but it’s just as easy and safe to use as my previous razor. It is a different way of shaving and it takes a while to get used to. Once you get the best angle for a smooth shave then you’ve mastered it. This razor doesn’t have a flexible head (like a Venus rasor) so you have to use shorter strokes because it doesn’t adjust to your curves, which takes longer to donin the shower as a woman doing a larger area, such as your legs. But it’s no bad thing if you can take your time in a relaxing bath with some candles. I would recommend it to my friends. It’s well made, well weighted so you don’t add pressure when you shave and I haven’t cut myself yet – so it’s safe for novices.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThought i would try the old school way of Shaving after watching a program on all the plastic in the seas .
so gave the disposable razor the elbow.
First shave was a disaster cut my neck and nearly threw the razor out the window.
Next shave i actually followed the instructions and took my time and the result was a much closer shave than the disposable razors i had been using without any cuts.
The razor is well made and replacement blades are cheap.

This is a really good, environmentally friendly alternative to plastic razors. Takes a bit of getting used to, but with good quality blades, it is as good any razor I have used. The razor is well made and easy to clean.

Sure it’s a bit strange to use at first and it takes some time to figure out the angels but I absolutely love this razor! It saves me so much waste, so much money and I think it looks so much better then your average plastic shaver! It’s 15 just go invest that money and see if you like it! Dare to try it! I can really only recommend it! I don’t understand why I haven’t tried it earlier!

My razor arrived quickly in a lovely presentation box and with one blade includes, which I wasn’t expecting. It really is very beautifully made and I am very happy with it. Easy and safe to use as long as you’re careful! Would recommend, definitely excellent value for money

I wanted to reduce the amount of plastic in my life. I was a bit scared to use it the first time but it’s so easy! and no razor burns and no nicks either!! The bamboo handle offers a good grip even with soapy hands. I will never use a disposable one again. Definitely worth buying and I will order an other one for a gift this Christmas!

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersAmazing product, great value for money, good quality, nice weight and perfect for those who want to live more sustainable, both for the environment and for the purse. Comes in a nice little presentation box. The razor left my legs smoother than my disposable and the blade once blunt is very easy to change. I can see this little product lasting a longtime. Thank you for such a great product at such a reasonable price and helping me do my bit in reducing my use of plastic. The one thing, that doesn’t bother me, but may other purchasers is that the varnish on the handle wears off very quickly- I prefer the natural bamboo wood over the dark varnished wood anyway.

Took a couple of shaves to get the feel right but once mastered best shave ever. Better for the planet, cheaper refil – only small niggle is it would have been better to varnish/finish the handle of the razo

Bought for my son so hope he likes it! Box was so difficult to open but worth the effort as looks like a well made razor. Hoping this will decrease the use of plastic disposable razors for a trainee seafarer whose seen firsthand the damage done to our once beautiful seas.
Think I should buy one for hubby too!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI absolutely love this razor. With everything in the news about plastic waste, I’m trying to reduce my own where I can. This gives me a much smoother shave than disposable razors, and is cheaper in the long run too, not to mention better for the environment! The bamboo handle not only makes this razor very attractive, but also makes it much easier to use, preventing it slipping from wet hands. It takes a little while to get used to, but you won’t regret it!

Decided to switch to safety razors due to the ridiculous cost of modern ones. Bought this fantastic item. Its well made looks great and works brilliantly. I use it with Astra safety razors (which also come with a free shaving stick. I shave everyday and would highly recommend it.

I was a bit afraid at the beginning, because I had bad experiences with similar razors, but this one is really good and safe. Initially it might scare a bit the feeling of the razor cutting the beard, but it’s because the razor is really doing its job. Better shave than those modern multiple blades so common nowadays. Totally recommended. I wish the seller included a couple more blades though.

Well, having used disposable cartridge razors my entire adult life, this transition has been a revelation!!!
The razor itself is VERY well made and sturdy. It’s highly tactile and comfortable to use. Once loaded with a blade ( Astra platinum coated circa 0.10 EACH!!!!!!) and with minimal pressure it glides across the skin for an excellent close shave. I remember both my grandad and dad using these in the past. How ironic I only discover how good they are and what excellent value they represent at nearly 50 years of age. Better late than never!

I’m trying to be low impact and use less plastic. This was a more recent purchase as I’ve been a bit worried about trying them. I’ve only cut myself once (on the back of my leg) and it was pretty deep but it was used error. Otherwise it’s been great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a bit of mixed feelings about this. Initially I would have given it 5 stars but after a bit of use I think it’s a weak 4 stars. It did look good when it arrived and turns out it’s easier to use than I initially thought. I was dreading I might accidentally cut my leg off or at least get myself to bleed out, but as it turns out this can be used quite easily. It takes a bit of getting used to but it’s ok after a couple of uses. The only issue I have with it is that it’s a razor that’s not very waterproof. The handle got quickly ugly from getting wet which is a shame as it ain’t so pretty anymore, however so far it haven’t had an impact on practicality of the product hence only one star down.

Update: after just over 12 months of use, my razor fell off the shelf and the head broke right where it screws together so no cha e of fixing it. However I have loved it so much and it’s still more cost effective than disposable razors, I would happily buy again.

Nice looking razor with a good balanced weight. I’ve ditched the good old Gillette Venus for this one in my bid to reduce plastic. The only cons are that my skin is really sensitive so I get a shaving rash after use and I also keep nicking myself. I’m sure this will get better with practice and I’m persevering with it. Also, it’s really difficult to find blades on the high street but I guess that’s what good ole Amazon is for!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIt is not in my nature to write reviews about products but for this I’ll make an exception. Here’s what I like about this product. I’ve used double edge razors for all of my 40 odd years of shaving, simply because I get a better shave as opposed to those expensive plastic excuses for razors. However, what makes this razor better than anything I’ve bought in the past is the “sound” feedback I receive when using it. By this I mean that I can hear it shaving off my bristles. I assume that it’s something to do with the hollow bamboo that it’s made from. The result is a smooth and comfortable shave. This is a wonderful product and I hope that it lasts for many years.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter doing a bit of research on re-useable razors, this was the one I finally decided on. I’ve been using this for a few months now, and I love everything about it. At first, I was so nervous that I would end up covered in scratches and cuts – but that is certainly not the case! It’s super easy to use, eco friendly, and you can get a really close shave when you learn to master the Bambaw Safety Razor. You will not be disappointed with this product!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersAfter years of paying too much for razors I decided to try this.
Read the reviews and bought a separate box of razors, works out at 10p a blade.

So using it is great but I recommend slowing down your shaving style, with modem ones you can almost hack away at your face and never cut it. With this make sure your shaving strokes are in line with the blade.
But it is so much closer as well.
I really recommend these it’s like stepping back in time and once your used to it you’ll never go back.

Much better then expected heavy, sturdy and feels expensive. I shaved with it using my own blade was very forgiving on the face and the bamboo has a good non slippery feeling. this vs expensive razors I don’t see the difference

This razor gives me the smoothest shave I’ve ever had. I was quite worried about buying one for a while as I thought it’d be easy to cut myself, but I needn’t have worried. It’s very easy to use and I never felt in danger of cutting myself. Would highly highly recommend, it produces so much less waste than a regular razor and the blades are so cheap to replace!

Safety razors are awesome – how on earth did horrible, wasteful, plastic disposable razors ever become popular? This little guy is a beauty to handle, smooth and chunky, very well weighted in the hand. And after 3 months I’m still on the first blade of a box of 100. It’ll take me years to get through them, saving a tonne of cash. It’s also a much smoother and closer shave. Cannot recommend safety razors highly enough.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersAt the current 14.99 price this is a very nice razor. It’s well made and finished, and the bamboo handle is classy. If all the metal parts are stainless steel, as the description implies, that’s a great bonus; I believe many low-cost razors are made from zinc alloy with a chrome plating, which looks OK but can break if dropped in the sink. It has a good weight and as a newcomer to double-edge shaving I’ve found it easy to use.

I’ve docked a star for two reasons. One is that getting a Wilkinson blade (and possibly other makes) centred is tricky: as you tighten the handle there’s a distinct “snap” as the blade clicks into the proper position. Derby blades seem to seat more easily, perhaps because they’re more flexible. My second niggle is simply that it’s a three-piece design, so putting in a new blade is a bit of a juggling act. Two-piece razors, where the lower blade support plate is fixed to the handle (not to be confused with a “butterfly” design) are easier in that respect.

Like much of modern life, the “simplicity” of DE shaving turns out to conceal many choices in terms of razor design, blade choice, soap versus oil (I like oil) and technique. I’d be interested to see this razor reviewed by someone with more experience.

I bought this razor to avoid the horrible disposable ones I have used in the past. I was hesitant at first as I thought it would trickier to use on my legs and armpits, but it has worked brilliantly! So easy to assemble, the handle has a good grip, and I haven’t had any nicks or cuts.

For those of you who care for this planet I would highly recommend this razor, plus it’s a great price too!

Razor is of very good quality and perfectly balance had my first wet shave straight away I thought it was good that they included a free blade as my order for them will be a few days so I tried the free one but was very dissatisfied with the sharpness could feel the blade pulling with every stroke it took 2 passes to get a semi good shave so will have to wait on mine turning up to try I’ve ordered a pack of 5 different types so hopefully will eventually find a sharp one.

It looks as nice as it seems and also does the job! I’m a first timer using a safety razor and I’ve been looking at youtube videos before I used it for first time yesterday (safety issues haha). Used for the first time today and weight and feel are good. I had a free razor with it which was either a little blunt or I’m not quite getting the angle quite right. Nice clean safe and much easier to use than I thought. Will not be go back to standard razors.

Was really nervous about buying this cause it looked a bit intimidating to use on legs/armpits etc. Honestly couldn’t be happier with it! You do obviously have to take a tiny bit more care handling it than with a plastic razor but it’s so worth it. Feel fantastic that I’ve cut another bit of plastic consumption out of my life, and with such a nice, stylish, easy to use product.

This is amazing. I decided to buy this as I wanted to ditch the plastic razors and I’ve not regretted it.
The razor comes in a card box wrapped in string and it also comes with a double-edged razor to get you going. If you’ve never used a safety razor before then it’ll take a couple of shaves to get used to it but honestly it’s the best shave I’ve ever had.
It feels heavy and the bamboo is lovely to hold. I’d definitely recommend this.

Great razor, very nice feel. Only minor niggle is that when the handle gets wet it roughs up a bit. Some form of sealing would help. Other that that, its perfect.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI’ve been trying to reduce my plastic waste recently and finally plucked up the courage to get a safety razor. It came in nice packaging with one razor blade. It was easy to use, imagined I would cut myself a few times as I always get nicked by disposable razors, not even a single cut! Did my legs very quickly, under arms took a bit longer but well worth it as I usually have very sore arm pits so I had actually stopped shaving for a long time. Now I can shave without the soreness.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersIt is early days yet as I have only used it a couple of times. I like the look and feel of the product. I have no doubt that the bamboo handle will change in colour after a bit but after a couple of uses it still looks great. The results so far, much better than any disposible razor I’ve used.

I particularly like the How to use guide that was sent to me by the vendor – the fact that they acknowledge that the razor will be also put to use by women on legs and armpits and give helpful tips was very good and almost touching.

Also a good choice to minimise waste. No more plastic razors going in the bin from this household.

Update. Have now been using this a number of months. I’m very pleased I got this razor. I am delighted with the fact that I no longer waste endless plastic razors. I think the handle has withstood use and still looks attractive. Yes I admit you do have to be a bit careful using this. But that is more about being careful of the lumps and bumps in your skin rather than the product. What it does mean though, is that shaving your legs and pits, becomes quite a zen experience- something not to be rushed. And the result is smooth. One of my purchases of 2018.

  97. jazzrunner says:

Not sure what I was expecting, but it was much better than I thought it would be. It is attractive, and has some weight to it. It feels solid and as if it is decent quality. Glad I bought it.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI love this! I have always used disposable, now I’ve recognised the error of my ways, I bought this along with a pack of blades. I was nervous of slicing my legs with it, but it is so simple to use, and my legs are so smooth it’s hard to understand why these razors fell out of use! I am so happy I will never have to bother with disposables again!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI ordered this as a more exotic friendly option to the disposable plastic razors. I shan’t lie I was slightly terrified to put this anywhere near my legs, but my fears disappeared pretty quickly. It was so easy to use, gave a great shave and is well made and lovely to look at!! Considering the price (some of these are more than double the price) I think it’s well worth the money!
