Value for money
Very heavy although I don’t think it’s cast iron but it looks like it I’m well pleased with it for the price.

It will only Support shades with a larger pole
Reasonable too assemble but would not hold my larger umbrella with a narrow pole. Just rocked about.

After reading some reviews before purchasing, I almost didn’t buy however, very glad I did, I had a cast iron base before and this isn’t far off comes with different fittings also! Good for what we needed
Works for us. Our umbrella is quite big & heavy so I think if the wind got up it could knock over, but it is working fine, hasn’t fallen over yet and good value for money. Looks good in our garden.
Great quality & solid
Exactly what I was after ! I have a huge patio umbrella & never found a suitable base for it as the stem is 50mm wide. It fits perfectly in the support post using the largest of the 3 adapters, I have no doubt this will finally give my Umbrella the support it needs, very happy & superb value for money ! 5

Original was broken so I gave a 1 star review.
I was offered refund or replacement very quickly by the company and chose replacement. This arrived within a few days and is intact and as described. Whilst I am impressed by the companies replacement procedures and the product is good I have only amended my review to 4 stars as I can’t give 5 as the original was broken.
For around 10kg this holds my 1.4×1.8m parasol well on my windy roof terrace. I cannot say if it will hold a much larger parasol but it is good for my small one. It fits comfortably under my 80cm diameter table without too much intrusion and is fit for the job in comparison to higher priced products. It looks as stylish as it does in the picture. I do not understand why it has been written that you need tools and two people to assemble. I am a small 5′ disabled woman and I just put it together quickly with my hands. Maybe a spanner could make the fixture go tighter, but I didn’t need one.
Iron and Base
I used it for holding my washing line airer it holds on perfectly with heavy load. Happy with purchase.
Good but not cast iro
I like the product. It’s sturdy and looks good but it’s not as described. It’s not cast iron.

The look is very attractive and goes well with my garden furniture.the hole seems to be a little too big for umbrella.ive tried 2 different sized umbrella and they are both too small therefore the screw that secures it doesn’t reach so is wobbly. Other than that it still does the job.
A quality Produc
This is a very sturdy base, well made and looks good. My first base had a manufacturing quality problem but the company provided excellent service in providing a new replacement very quickly.
The product was well packaged due to it’s weight.

Received today, bit tricky to assemble on my own as it takes a bit of balancing to get the bottom screw into the base but I love it, slightly concerned after reading reviews about not being sturdy but has been up for an hour in the wind and rain and its still standing and it has got a big parasol in it.

Fairly easy to move around.

Sturdy care needs to be taken to ensure the umbrella is properly seated before tightening which helps stability.

Sturdiness
My umbrella pole was a bit too thin and even with using the screw on the side, it still kept getting blown over. I filled the tube with sand, when the pole was in it and it’s been brilliant, it’s the only one that has worked for us.

Parasol base
We are very pleased with our parasol base. There is some construction but it makes up into a sturdy product. It will hold a heavy parasol without tipping, even when parasol set at a tilt. Advantages are that it can be moved as the sun changes position.
However please be aware ,as warned, do not use if very windy as it will lift off the ground and go over due to the wind raising the parasol. This happened as we didn’t close the parasol as the wind strengthened, luckily no-one was hurt.

The base was a good weight for me to manage.
I liked the bronze colour which toned well with my parasol.it arrived sensibly packed and was easy to assemble. It is a weight I can lift and being circular was also easy to roll to position it. It has an removeable adaptor which I removed so the parasol slotted into the base easily and held tight with a screw. I would recommend this product.
heavy base for holding a large 5ft parasol
dose what it says I have a sun parasol that approx is 5ft it holds this up fine in light to medium wind i would recommend a table ito add extra support if high wind area.
Nice decorative weighted base
Nice decorative base, not that heavy for the large parasol we brought but I just put a sand weight on it if windy and it’s great.
Does the job well
This is a strong heavy weight parasol base which is sturdy enough to stop the parasol from toppling over. A very attractive design. One minor gripe is that that side screw doesn’t screw in tight enough to secure a parasol with a narrower pole so we have to use a wedge to secure it. Other than that we are very pleased with this purchase.

Product seems to be as described. It is solid and seems well made. We bought it to sit beneath our garden table to hold the brolly steady. Should do what we bought it for.

The base looks nice. However not adjustable to smaller widths of umbrella poles.
The screw will not hold the pole
The screw will not hold the pole the pole with the wind it spins round I have drilled a hole in the pole so that the screw fits in to the hole I drilled into the pole
A substantial item, originally bought for umbrella which could be repositioned around patio. However due to its weight I placed it below the cast aluminium patio table and used the existing lighter base for moving around.
Not a complaint, the new base provides a very solid base for the large umbrella in a sometimes very windy area!
Would recommend without reservation.
We bought this to use with an outdoor umbrella that we already had. Unfortunately, the diameter of the base “hole” was wider than the umbrella pole. Because it would cost us too much to return it, my husband modified the base so now the umbrella fits. Check your measurements before ordering – this would probably be better for larger, cantilever umbrellas
Good quality holds large parasol
Looks good and heavy. Umbrella dis blow over in 20mph wind though but tbh I should have put the brolly down and my other one did the same. Would I still buy it? Yes!

Delivered really quickly. Very sturdy. I’m a single 70yr old lady and found it a little tricky holding the heavy base and screwing on the post on my own in lockdown.
Heavy Base, Good Quality.
Been after one of these since I got the Asda furniture set, it’s sturdy good quality and quite easy to put together. Just so you know the fitting instructions there isn’t any step by step like Lego it’s more one page and a blueprint of what’s there and just look at the picture.
The only thing your need is a spanner size no. 16 I think & then hold with one hand and turn with the other. Just be careful not to cross thread as it should screw on easy. The part that rattles inside the tube is ok to leave as that part serves as the part where the pole holds at the bottom.
Basically that’s it, no need to over tighten the bolt as your get an idea if there’s movement & also to mention be careful when lifting it as if say the pole did come loose the base might hurt your foot.

The product came without a few pieces, I requested the missing pieces which were dispatched quickly. Thanks for that. Parasol now in place and doing well. This is the sturdiest parasol base I have ever had.
Very pleased with it but I needed to buy a spanner to assemble it. A bit tricky but even as a feeble woman I managed nonetheless!! Once assembled it’s quite effective and beautiful indeed.
On a very windy day you’d need a heavier one but then on a very windy day you’d probably not want to sit outside anyway…

Sturdy and attractive parasol base.
Had an initial problem with the screw for the base, but company sent a replacement promptly. In terms of customer service and communication both were excellent. Sturdy base and happy with product and very happy with company’s response, which was refreshing in these days when customer service can be a bit hit and miss.
Sturdy base, but need parasol with bigger pole
The base is strong sturdy and beautifull. Delivery was super quick. However the base is not suitable for parasols with smaller poles. Even with tightening mine moves, so I had to place sand around the space to make it sturdy

Good quality parasol base
We like this but were concerned that the screw may not last as long as the base itself. We like the fact that it’s real cast iron rather than cast iron effect plastic. Recommended.
The item arrived in good time and appearance wise, everything was great. On assembly, thing’s didn’t quite go to plan. There’s a bolt to secure the base to the receiver tube but unfortunately the thread inside the tube is very weak and even with minimal effort,the thread stripped straight away. With a bit of fettling I repaired it easily but that’s not the point. The base is very heavy and someone could have an accident if the item’s separated unknowingly.
