    8x HDMI Kabel
    1x Switch
    4x Gummife zum Aufkleben
    4x USB Kabel – A auf B
    1x USB Kabel – A auf MicroUsb

    Mitgeliefert wird folgendes:
    8x HDMI Kabel
    4x USB Kabel -> A auf B
    1x USB Kabel -> A auf Micro
    1x Switch
    4x Gummife zum Aufkleben

    Sehr gute Umschaltzentrale

The GREATHTEK Dual Monitor switch is a fantastic device. It can handle switching between four dual monitor systems and supports 4K resolution at 60Hz. It of course outputs these devices to dual monitor displays.

The switch itself is of high quality, the materials and casing are strong and robust and the ports all feel solid and strong. There is also two USB 1.1 ports to connect peripheral devices to and the device promises lagless transmission so you can still use it for gaming or other time sensitive transmission purposes.

There are switches on the body of the device, but in case you want the unit mounted out of sight, you can also switch quickly with keyboard hotkeys.

Device is excellent, transmission speeds flawless and overall value for money is good.

There’s nothing fancy about this KVM, but for people with a few computers and a couple of 4K monitors such as myself, it’s close to a perfect fit. There are a few niggles, so let’s list them first:
    – It doesn’t always recognise a lower resolution video feed, such as that used by bitlocker when you boot.
    – It doesn’t pretend to be a keyboard and mouse for the unselected sources, so it can take a few seconds for the newly-selected device to recognise and start responding to your typing. The positive side of this is that the computers can see your actual keyboard and mouse, not a generic device.
    – The device is powered by USB, so you need to use a mains adaptor (not supplied) or connect it to a device that supplies power over USB even when switched off.
    – The keyboard and mouse USB sockets are on the front, which works well if you have a wireless keyboard and mouse, but is messy if they’re wired
    – The LEDs on the front are rather bright, and the select buttons are on the left of the LEDs for each PC, which doesn’t feel right for a right-handed person (but makes perfect sense if you’re left-handed).
    – The on-off switch is on the back panel, which is a little fiddly.
    – The KVM enclosure is a characterless rectangular box, not ugly, but notexactly pretty either.
    – There’s no support for Display Port.
    – The supplied cables (of which there are many) are separate HDMI and USB: a bonded cable would have made for simpler-looking cabling.

That sounds like a lot of niggles, but the box is well designed to do what it’s supposed to do with no frills at all. It genuinely is a plain rectangular steel box. It doesn’t even have any rubber feet: it lies flat on the desk. Because it has no frills, and because it has been designed by engineers rather than designers (at least, that’s what I imagine happened), the layout is simple, clear and unfussy. If you have a single monitor, the rear panel has a straight row of alternating HDMI and USB type B plugs, with the HDMI out and the USB power in at one end. If you have two display outputs on your PC and two monitors to diplay on, the additional HDMI ports are stacked directly above the first. Given the number of devices being connected, it’s really easy to know what connects to where and to keep the cabling tidy. Having the HDMI and USB cables for each computer bonded together would have been neater, but this is a simple solution, not a particularly stylish one.
The front panel has the two USB sockets for the keyboard and mouse, a baleful red power LED and two LEDs and a button for each PC. A white square is screenprinted round each cluster to make it easy to see the groupings. There’s a yellow LED to show you there’s a source (that PC is turned on) and a green LED for the currently selected source. Having four separate buttons, one for each source, is the clearest and easiest method. KVMs with a single button that you have to press repeatedly to cycle round the sources is much more cumbersome than this method.

I’ve been using Two Windows desktop PCs, one PopOS linux PC and a laptop (with USB-C to HDMI adaptor). I occasionally see delays in the Linus computer recognising the keyboard and mouse when I switch to it, but for the most part it works really well. All of my sources are 4K at 60 Hz; it’s not a problam for me that the KVM doesn’t support higher refresh rates.

The boxiness of the design and the clarity of the layout is reminiscent of functional laboratory gear. The simplicity is appealing, so if have four or fewer devices, your devices are all HDMI, and if you prefer funtionality over form, then this KVM does what it’s designed to do, in a simple and effective way.

This unit is very neat. It’s small but with a solid metal casing, it has a robust look and feel and I was confident immediately.

I’m not a techie and I don’t fully understand all the detail about refresh rates etc. Setting up a new gizmo can be tricky because if anything goes wrong, it means calling in expert help to put it right. This unit, despite the fact that it delivers a number of complex functions, is really simple to set up. It is literally connect and play and the fiddly but was connecting wires at the back of the units. Switching is seamless and there’s no loss of image or delay. It’s like having a professional set up in a home environment and it’s incredibly slick. It allows the user to access or work on different things from a single unit and switch quickly between them. It looks as if it’s built to last and this way exceeds my needs, but I consider it a sound investment for business or serious home users.

This HDMI KVM Switch Dual Monitor 4 Port 4K by GREATHTEK has worked flawlessly for the last 2 weeks that I have been using. This device has enabled me to control 2 computers and to share 2 monitors for the switch with ease and absolutely no lag. The best part of this device is possibly its built in software, I don’t even need to leave my seat to switch between monitors, all I have to do is press a combination of keyboard keys. For example CTRL + 1 to switch to Signal 1 , CTRL + 2 to switch to signal 2.

The build quality (expected for the price), is really top of the line. Heavy duty and heavy yet fairly thin which means it wont take up much space on your desk. This is perfect for those who are like me and live in compact living spaces. Please note that all the necessary wires are already included in the box so there is nothing else needed from your end for set-up. This device is also compatible with a wide range of computer systems such as Windows 10/7/2000 / XP / Vista, Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

Overall, very pleased with this product and considering how easy and efficient it is to use, it is a clear 5 star product.

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

HDMI KVM Switch Dual Monitor 4 Port 4K,4K@60Hz,USB1.1,4 PC 2 Monitor Switch, HDMI 2.0

An all in one console that allows me to switch between 3 computers using two monitors is perfect, I’m not losing any video quality in the process and I’ve got one keyboard and wireless mouse which controls all 3 computers, saves me space, time and makes it ever so convenient.

As I mentioned above, I’m using 3 computers, a work laptop (boring), my gaming desktop and an older household desktop which is used for general day to day internet surfing etc, I don’t like to use my gaming desktop for anything other than playing games, I like to keep it as less clobbered as possible.

This KVM from Greathtek has basically done away with me having to unplug HDMI cables to use my two monitors plus I’ve been able to do away with a set of keyboards and mice.

    The kit contains the following:
    1 x KVM switch
    4 x USB cables
    1 x Micro USB cable
    8 x HDMI 2.0 cables
    4 x Rubber adhesive feet

The unit has been made very well, it has an all outer metal exterior with vents at either end on the sides. The rubber feet to attach to the base are included in the box to prevent this moving around or scratching any work surface.

Power to the unit is via the micro USB slot, a 5V/1A should suffice which can go into any spare USB port on the PC.

I connected my laptop to the back via a USB-C to HDMI cable and obviously the USB-A cable for keyboard and mouse control, my basic desktop was connected up with two HDMI leads and USB and finally my gaming desktop with the same configuration. I used a wireless mouse and keyboard with the dongles connected into the two front ports and finally I attached my 32inch monitors to the switch.

Operation was smooth and straight forward, I can opt to have one screen for the desktop and laptop, control either of them at leisure which worked really well and for my gaming desktop I was able to extend or duplicate the screen onto both monitors.

I liked the fact that I could use hotkeys to control selection which is just perfect if the box is out of reach, saves getting up all the time to reach over.

The USB ports on this device is version 1.1, there is a USB 2.0 version which is available for the same price.

For now, this KVM should meet my needs as it offers 4K @60Hz, as I have no intention yet of upgrading my gaming desktop then I’m sure I’ll get a few good years out of it.

It’s a high price to pay but you get what you pay for, no issues but good quality results.

    Very happy to recommend.

Top quality KVM with enough room for personal expansion - Works well - Recommended!

If you have multiple PC’s (up to 4) and want to use them with a single keyboard/mouse and two screens, then this is the ideal switch box for you.
The box itself is really solid, made of steel with a tough coating and is supplied with 8 HDMi cables, each 2m long, and 4 USB-A to USB-B cables/ In addition a single USB-A to USB-C cable is supplied to give the box its 5V power supply.
Simply set up your 4 PC’s next to each other (perhaps under your desk) and connect each of them to your KVM switch with a HDMI cable and a USB cable. Also connect the USB-A to USB-C cable to the power supply socket. Plug in your two monitors to the HDMI outputs, and then plug in your keyboard and mouse to the front mounted USB sockets.
Flick the power switch to “on”, LED’s will light on the front panel. You can switch between any of the four PC’s to your monitors and use the single keyboard and mouse to control them.
Picture quality is stunning – 4K performance at 60Hz.
This is simply a great piece of kit that allows total control without any noise on the displays.
This is not cheap, but it is remarkably good and comes with everything you need in one box. Top notch!

It’s well built device. All metal body with precise cut-outs for all connections. Works quiet and does not get hot.

Connects two monitors to two PC’s. And have 2 USB ports to connect your keyboard, mouse and other devices you want to share.
Works very well. No delay in switching between two PC’s. Monitors takes fraction of second to adjust to new size (if different on other PC) Same with other devices connected — switching is instant and everything works.

There are a problems however, If the mouse is plugged into the kvm before it starts it’ll be really laggy, this can be fixed by very annoyingly reading behind the unit and unplugging and re-plugging the usb cable, so don’t think you can run it somewhere hidden and out of the way (unless you have a short run usb extension for the peripherals which makes little sense, the kvm extends usb from your computer’s already). Overall well made and works perfect.

This is a top-notch 4k KVM switch, absolutely perfect for switching from work/home/workstation PCs and great for all of us that have found ourselves newly working-from-home.

For anyone unfamiliar with these devices, they allow you to rapidly switch between multiple different PCs or laptops while using the same monitor(s), keyboard and mouse. Simply connect your keyboard and mouse to the front of the device and run your different video feeds and companion USB connections from your computer(s) to the back – then it’s simply a matter of pushing the numbered buttons to switch between PCs.

Working in tech I’ve used a lot of KVMs before but the standout features on this device are the 60Hz refresh rate coupled with the ability to support dual 4k monitors, which is exceptional.

The device itself feels really well made with an all-metal case and the switches are nice and responsive. Also comes with all the necessary HDMI and USB cables to connect to 4 different dual monitor PCs. Very impressed with this bit of kit.

    Top quality KVM

I had a one high power computer workstation, all the trimmings, UPS, high power compute, HD monitors, it is a great setup. I started to work from home and my new job does not allow the use of my own computer. They sent me a laptop, and I now had a problem. I wanted to use my HD monitors with the laptop and my own computer. You would think just buy a KVM and your done, NOT SO FAST. Many KVM’s cannot support USB 3, and high graphics in a KVM switch. I saw this model and it seemed to fit the bill. It came with enough cables. I plugged my two monitors HDMI into the KVM, and then each computer needed 2 sets of cables from each to go into the KVM (I know all those cables into a little box!), and yet it all fits. My trackball needed to use one of the USB 3 ports as it did not like the MOUSE port. I talked to support and they said the type of trackball needed its own USB 3 port. no biggie. You have many options to share audio (besides the obvious keyboard and mouse), mic, you name it. You can also use many HOT buttons on your keyboard to switch monitors, BUT I must say I use the little MANUAL remote switch that comes with it (see picture). I switch between computers many times a day so let me tell you this is now broken in and it works great. So far I have no complaints. The video is clear, and attachments work. Many think a KVM is big, one picture I have is a measurement, they are small! Support via email was good, one day to respond. My concern was high end refresh rate with gaming, and for what I’m running it is GOOD. I am happy with the setup I have and the fact it all works as advertised. In case you all do not know, to run 2 monitors on each computer, you need 2 video outputs to be able to go into the KVM switch per computer (2 out of the laptop, 2 out of the desktop).
