The camera comes with everything you need including the expensive memory card that many do not provide. It was easy to set up in my car and there is plenty of cable length to fit into the 12v sockets at the rear of my arm rest. My car does not have the smokers pack so does not have a socket in the front console area, the cable is fed along the edges of the roof liner around the door frame to go behind the front passenger seat, so yes plenty of cable. I have only managed to set up the front camera do to difficulties with my car and how the boot is used, this will however be overcome and I will update the review.
The camera is very small and is easily place not to obstruct anybody’s view. The picture is very clear in all situations night/day, sun/rain. The SD card that came with the camera is already formatted so was ready to go and the set up of time and date was easily done.
Overall a nice cheap dash cam.

The dashcam has front as well as rear camera. It’s easy to set this up. All the writings and tool required to setup the camera is included in the package. The wires can be hidden under the rubber that runs around the car. There is a official video on youtube which you can find by searching “How to install iiwey T2 dash cam” which helped me install this dash cam easily and quickly.

The dash cam holder suction easily sticks to the wind screen. The dash cam has a female slot whereas the holder has male. You can hook up the dash cam after the camera holder is stuck on the wind screen. You can easily adjust the angle at which the dash cam place. The long cables are included which makes it easier to hide the wires and keep your car clutter free.

The 32 GB memory card is already included in the package which means you are good to go right after you receive this dash camera. In case you use your own SD card, the camera asks to format it in case it already has some data.

The dash cam has lots of configuration which you can easily set using the keys on the dash cam like looping videos, date time, each clip length can be adjusted to 1 Min, 3 Min and 5 Min. The recording starts as soon as you switch on the engine.

The video quality I found average and not too great. I have recorded it only during daytime and attached it here. The dash cam also records the audio. I have removed the actual audio which got recorded along with this video.

The key difference between the dash cam cameras I have used and this one is this dash camera is battery operated and turns on automatically after sensing the movement. The dash cam is pretty compact. The battery however is provided only for emergency use and camera don’t run for long when left without power.

    Rear Camera:
The rear camera is waterproof so you can install it outside as well. My car already had a rear camera so I did not have to use it.

Overall I felt this is a decent quality camera available at 36.99 at the time of review.

My partner is a domiciliary carer and drives frequently and far for his job. I’ve had a dash cam for a while now and we wanted one for his car. They’re invaluable in an accident and insurance companies like them too.

    Pros:
    * Super crisp video quality, capturing both front and rear view simultaneously
    * Easy enough to install, although, he has not wired it to his reverse light for reverse assist
    * Easy to use, booklet is very informative (if a little gramatically creative)

    Cons:
    * The camera for his car model (v50) does not turn on and off automatically- however, there is a hardwire kit for this purpose should you require this

Out of the box, its a really tidy and compact piece of kit. It just looks like an action camera. The rear view camera is industrial looking and is waterproof so can be affixed to the outside of the car, but he has installed it on his rear screen.

Two wires connect the cameras together and to the car. The front is attached with a suction pad which is strong and hasn’t fallen off yet, with the rear one having options for screws or sticky pads. The rear camera draws power from the front so you only need one lighter port in the vehicle. The book makes it fairly easy to understand how to install and use the camera, although, my partner really didnt want to connect it to his wiring in the car as right now it’s not needed.

The video quality is excellent and very clear with night mode and has good low light too. The camera works on a 3 minute clip basis, recording 3 minute clips until the memory is full (with the SD card supplied) then it goes back and records over the oldest clips. You just plug it in and can use it as removable media and view grab the recordings.

My partner is really pleased with the camera. He installed it relatively quickly, and hasnt had to fiddle since, so it is straightforward. The only thing is isnt too impressed about is the auto on/off feature and that you have to hardwire it in for this to work, but turning it off and on manually isn’t too annoying if you remember. It also has a timer function for inactivity (that must be toggled on) so it switches off after a minute.

All in all, it’s a clever device. It works well, hasn’t tripped up yet and generally doesn’t look too busy as the wires are stuffed behind the trim of the car. I think it’ll be crucial if he ever has a disturbance in his vehicle and generally am impressed with the item.

Good picture quality, tidy and compact... Grea

The thought of fitting this dashcam can be somewhat overwhelming out of the box — especially for us not mechanically minded. However the instructions that come with the camera (and the pointing to an instructional video) considerably lower the “daunt factor”.

The vehicle fitted to is a pickup with canopy and, in honesty, we decided against the rear cam (there is a cam for reversing already). The front cam was installed and the picture quality isn’t bad considering the price. The SD card needs clearing roughly every two weeks and this is made much easier for those of use with card readers in place already.

You can spend a whole lot more, and get a whole lot better but, for the price this is pretty darn good.

IIWEY Dash Cam Front and Rear 1080P Mini Size 32GB SD Card Included, 2 Inch LCD Screen Small Car Dash Camera for Cars with Night Vision, 170 Wide Angle, G-sensor, Motion Detection, Parking Mode is currently at the price 40.49 (with an extra 10% off voucher) including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the item.
Camera with a microSD card with a capacity of 32 GB, which is placed on the side of the camera. After unpacking, I was a little scared of these cables, but after reading the manual and watching the video, it was not so hard. Access to the menu and navigation is on the side of the camera – there are buttons for activating these options. The maximum upgrade of the micro SD card is 128 Gb.
The visible screen of the main camera is 40 mm x 30 mm. The front camera is 1080p and the rear camera is VGA 640 x 480 resolution. I tested the capture of important data and I think it is OK. Displays time and date. The rear camera in this set is waterproof, so you can try to mount it outside the car. However, I have a camera inside. I tested it with a bad one
Lighting and also catches focus quite well. I recommend it at this price, I think it is worth it.

    + video quality is good
+ 32GB SD card included. Can take up to 128gb
    + loop recording option
    + price point is good
+ seller seems very helpful. Videos on youtube how to install this.

    – needs to be connected to the power supply all the time(build in camera is only 240mah). Needs a lot of time to install this in order to hide the cables
    – no time lapse option. Timelapse videos can be really fun when driving

Being a relatively cheap dashcam I didn’t have high hopes and once mounted these hopes weren’t particularly matched, but after spending time with it I’m actually really pleasantly surprised. First thing’s first. The screen on the camera isn’t good. It’s got poor viewing angles, is washed out and low resolution. I was feeling a little dejected about it – until I realised it really doesn’t matter. Once you’re all set up and have the camera positioned, the screen isn’t of much use beyond a cursory glance to check it’s on and recording. I was worried what I saw on the screen would be reflected on the footage but I couldn’t be more wrong. The actual recorded video is great and easily matches the sorta footage I see on youtube compilations of scary dashcam footage (yes, I’m one of those people). Microphone quality isn’t stunning but that’s less important anyway.
Comes with a ciggie lighter power cord which is of decent length – I only wish it came with a hardwiring kit because – and here’s my major gripe with this product – the Micro USB input to the camera comes extremely close to the suction mount meaning you pretty much NEED to use a right-angle micro-USB cable for it. Finding hardwire kits that use this sort of plug is difficult, and I think the recommended one for this camera is a little too pricey compared to kits offered for the more mainstream dashcam brands. Not sure if this is on purpose or it’s just lazy design, but it sure is frustrating.
That aside, this has a permanent place on my windscreen now and I’ll live with having to swap out the 12V plug for my phone charger for now.

I needed help to fit this but hubby stated it was easy enough. He said the instructions were easy to follow but there is also a video on YouTube to follow if you find that easier.

    Effective at a budget price.

No frills but it does what it needs to.

    I’m happy to recommend

This camera is a great little package with everything you need to get up and running. Charging cable, tool to run the cable behind the trims, mounts for from and rear camera, front and rear camera with a super long cable that reaches from the front to the back of the car without any trouble. The camera auto switches on when you provide power, turn on the car so nothing for you to do expect drive and let the camera record with good quality video from
The front and rear view. Playback is simple on the screen or you can remove the provided memory card and playback on your pc. Fitted this in the wife’s car and she loves the piece of mind she gets from having it now. Very happy with this.

Upon first glance, the contents of the box were over facing. Lots of bits and bobs, wires everywhere. Thankfully the manual was informative and straightforward.
You get front and rear cameras with everything included to fit. You do have to hide all the wires under linings and using the self adhesive clips.
It is small which i liked and the images are of a good quality.

Ive had a few Dash Cams over the past 2 years, and This one was easy to install and nice simple to use. The instruction manual was easy to follow and understand. The manual also tells you how to connect the red cable to the cars supply. very impressed with device nice and smal but great quality easy to setup and install excellent value for money and excellent quality 5stars

Very small and compact, just what you need for a dash cam!

The latest 1080p version really does its job, has smart features such as loop recording; which wipes old data and keeps recording so you never run out of space.

The dash cam mount is excellent and attaches on the windscreen really tight.

The quality of the images are really clear and works really well with motion (when the car is moving).

As insurance fraud grows daily one way of protecting yourself from driving related scams is to install a dashcam. Dashcams such as this one are positioned discreetly pointing forwards through the front window and record all your driving activity.

The dash cam turns on automatically when the car is started and off again a short time after the engine is turned off. It records continuously in short recordings onto a memory card that seamlessly dovetails together when played back. When the card is full the camera records over the oldest recording.

A good camera will have a built-in G-Sensor which automatically records impacts and secures that file against overwriting. The point of having a mass of short video recording files is to make it easier to find the one you need to examine.

Compact, discreet and designed to stay hidden – fit behind your rear-view mirror, flush to your windshield for optimal field-of-view – features scratch resistant LCD display screen.

Never miss a license plate in full HD ultra-wide viewing angle captures more of the road around you – low light compensation feature ensures excellent video quality even for driving in the evening

The only thing you will need is a SD card which I’m using 32GB which I think is enough

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI received this IIWEY Dash Cam through the Amazon Vine program
This front and rear dash cam arrived in its own box complete with all the necessary wires and components, Plus an instruction manual for setting it up in your car
Having read the instructions I found it was quite easy to fix the front dash camera to the windscreen and access the setting
I must admit instruction manual is very thorough in explaining all the buttons and settings on the camera, and as you scroll to the settings you must set date and time which is most important if the footage of an accident is going to be used
Most of the settings are self-explanatory on the screen and in the instruction manual, but as for the rear camera this is a different matter as you have to run the wires round the headlining of the car but the set dose include a tool for tucking it behind the headlining and self-adhesive clips to hide the wiring and also there is a video on YouTube that will explain how to set up the cameras if you have any problem, and this rear camera can be mounted on the inside or the outside of your car as it is a waterproof camera I have fixed mine on the inside
Now you have set the camera up and fixed it to your windscreen complete with Sim card in and switched on it can be left to record when you are driving your car
The camera will start recording as soon as you start your car and stop automatically when you switch off I must admit the pictures of the camera is very clear and you can view recordings by long press on the menu too access the playback folder as they are all saved here, the camera will continuously record on the 32 GB SD card as it actually loop record over if the card gets full
It is a great little front and rear dash cam well made easy to set up and a reasonable price

I hope you found this review helpful

Great little front and rear DashCam

I’ve got to admit that I didn’t expect much when I saw the size of the box and I was pretty underwhelmed when I saw the camera, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The camera is small and unobtrusive, and yet it does an excellent job. The screen is around 2″ on the diagonal, which isn’t a lot, but they pack so much information on there and yet still leave you with a good view. When you open the box, it’s a bit daunting, as there’s a lot of wiring in there. The instructions are good, but there is a reference to a video on YouTube and I would recommend watching that. I’m lucky, as my partner fitted this (he loves a good gadget), although he assured me that this would have been within my capabilities, if I’d taken my time.

You get a 32 gb micro SD card as standard, and that needs to be formatted using a PC and card reader for the first time, but any subsequent changes can be done via the extensive menu on the camera. The camera includes night vision and parking options, although it is recommended that if you want to use the parking options, the camera needs to be hard-wired in.

At the time of writing this review, the cost is 42.99, and I think that it’s worth every penny.

I’m very pleased with this dashcam – it is easy to use and provides a good quality image. Unfortunately, however, I’m not able to use it in my car as it needs to be plugged into the 12v (“cigarette lighter”) socket, which has failed in my car. Therefore, I was only able to test it by briefly trying it out in a friend’s car. The front facing camera was simple to install and worked first time – I didn’t have chance to try the rear camera. However, from what I saw, the image (in daylight) was excellent and very clear.

Although the camera itself is very small and unobtrusive, when installing the camera properly, you will need to run the cable around the edge of the windscreen in such a way that it does not interfere with or compromise the driver’s vision. This will necessitate a little bit of time to get it right.

The camera comes with a 32gb memory card, but will accept cards of up to 128gb, which will need to be formatted before being used.

As well as being plugged into the lighter socket, there is a kit available for attaching to the car battery which will allow the camera to record when the engine is off.

If you don’t already have a dashcam, this will certainly do a good job at a very reasonable price (42.99 at the time of writing). Recommended.

When I first unpackaged the IIwey Dash Cam I have to admit to feeling a little deflated and somewhat daunted by all the wiring, cameras and fixtures contained within the box. However, after a cursory flick through the included manual, which in itself is very comprehensive, I learned that there was a video available on You Tube detailing the installation of a like camera product.

After watching the video I did feel less apprehensive about setting up the device and as it transpires, other than the connection of the rear cam red live wire to the reversing lamp of your car, the bulk of the installation process is all about cosmetically hiding the wires.

The dash cam comes with a 32 Gb micro SD card which you insert into the slot on the side of the camera. You will have to first format the card to the FAT32 file system which, according to the instructions, should be achieved initially by using a card reader and a PC. Any subsequent formatting can be done in situ through the cameras extensive menu. The menus can be accessed and navigated through the buttons at the side of the main camera. The maximum upgrade for the micro SD card is 128 Gb.

The visible screen of the main camera is 40mm x 30mm giving a diagonal of 50mm or roughly the quoted dimension of 2 inches in old money. The front camera is 1080p and the rear one is a VGA camera with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480. Even in such a small space, they have successfully managed to display a reasonable amount of relevant information like the time and date, if the device is recording and if so, for how long, all without leaving you with a feeling of screen overcrowding. The rear camera in this set is waterproof so it can be safely fixed up outside of the car but I’ve chosen to have mine installed on the inside rear of my motor.

There’s a tremendous amount going on under the bonnet of this front and rear dash cam, far more than I could possibly cover in this review and all of which are accessible through the comprehensive integral menu system. The camera too has the capability of advanced night vision WDR technology and with a F1.8 aperture it’s possible for the dash camera to obtain clear images even in a low light situation.

Although the unit does have parking monitoring, to use the system more reliably, it would be best to purchase a hard wire kit which would enhance the option from being reliant on the cameras tiny 240mA inbuilt battery, to one which can operate off the car battery at any time without fear of lack of power. The kit, available from Amazon, is referenced in the product literature and costs around 9 quid.

In summary, I can only say that I should have had one of these 2-3 years ago when someone impacted my car whilst in a supermarket parking lot and they decided to do a runner. This is a decent piece of kit.

So this is my first dash cam and I received it a couple days ago and first impressions were quite good, the insurrections were on the bare basic side, however they offer links to a step-to-step tutorial which was very helpful (if I can install it, anyone can) I haven’t connected the parking sensor yet but am hoping to get round to it.
Installing it was actually fairly easy, bit fiddly but alright once you get the hang of it, haven’t been on a lengthy journey yet so can’t say much on quality but so far so good, camera looks decent and it automatically records one engine starts, I’ll be sure to update after a couple journeys based on the performance. Hope this helps.

    Decent cameras

This is my first dashcam setup although I have seen similar in friends cars.
If asked then I probably would have expected a fully plastic construction, however, this is in metal and that seems excellent value for the price!

I’ve chosen to hardware mine in as I’m not keen on cables littering the car. Installation is straightforward and the recording at all times of the day second to none. I’m really very happy with it and feel so much more secure.

The pros :great picture quality also feel like quality, and night vision is great.
The cons :this version doesn’t come with a SD card I noticed other versions do.Then instructions advises you not to have it no heat or sunlight so that could be an issue .The rear camera needs to be hardwired . I watched tutorial from the band they showed you how to do it but it was extremely quick .Ultimately ,if you’ve never done that before and I’m not a mechanic you might feel uncomfortable orit difficult. Personally I won’t be doing it myself , if I want to use it in the future I will probably get a professional to install it for me.

I am very impressed with how solidly built this equipment is but at the time of writing this review haven’t been able to get it installed in my son’s car. I don’t think the instructions are very clear and think it might we might have a problem getting it installed.
There is a front and rear camera in this set, which I believe is an added bonus over other dashcams. It can only be an advantage, in my opinion, as both anything in front and/or behind the vehicle it is installed in can be recorded.
Once this has been installed I will update this review but I think the build quality is excellent but the instructions aren’t very clear.

We’ve had a couple of dash cams before but this is the best looking.
It’s nice and small comes with a rear camera that can also be wired up as a reversing camera.
Also included are the power cable and a USB cable, mounting brackets and 3M tape.
The picture on this is nice and clear, it starts to record automatically when you start the car but you can get a hard wire kit if you want it to record constantly.
It records on a loops and has an auto lock for videos if it senses movement or if there is a collision.
The only thing you’ll need is a sd card.

Great camera, easy to use. Buttons were pretty simple during menu navigation. Lots of options in record mode with audio. Camera quality is a great for the price with many options aswell. Add the night vision and this is one fantastic package!

    Cons:
Manufacturer recommends keeping out of direct sunlight. ( most electronic devices do not like this ) And If you dont park in a shaded area, you’ll uninstall/install to keep the camera safe during hot days. Which can get annoying.
However with any covered parking this will not be an issue.

Over all, I’m impressed. Even with my sunshade situation I will order another camera for my second vehical soon.
