We bought this for our sons upstairs bedroom, in the event of a house fire. It is so easy to install, and VERY sturdy. We threw it out the window and both my husband and son climbed out of the window. When they were done I just pulled it back up and folded it into the box that we purchased with it. Ill be buying another one for our youngest sons bedroom soon.
My husband and I are both firefighters and practice escape drills with our 6 kids often. We wanted piece of mind about our two boys upstairs being able to get out. Very sturdy but the hooks don’t fit our window quite right. We will install a bolt to hook to below the windows.
I like that this product is not “one time use” I was able to set it up and ensure that it was safe and secure if I ever need to use it (hopefully not). It says it is for 3 stories high but could definitely get it for 4th and maybe possibly 5th floor. The ladder doesn’t need to touch the ground as it does in my case, just to get you close enough to manage potential harm or death in case of an emergency. It comes with a nice storage bag although it could be a little bit bigger. The window bars it comes with I wouldn’t trust, it does not have a welded close loop for the carabeaners to stay in place. Over all though I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend if you are living in apartments, condos, or any communal living situation.

Je devais intervenir sur mon toit et avec un harnais c’tait compliqu donc j’ai opt pour cette chelle qui me permettait d’viter de glisser. La qualit est au rendez-vous et je me suis sentie en scurit. Le crochet pour ce que j’ai fait n’est pas adapt mais j’avais pris un crochet de faitire pour chelle rigide qui a trs bien fait l’affaire.

However, I was hesitant to order because it’s sold by ‘Everest’s Toys’ (!) and other ISOP ladders are sold by ‘ISOP LLC’. I contacted ISOP and they confirmed it is genuine. Why it’s sold by a different seller I have no idea. Even the ISOP LLC seller account itself also sells jars of sunflower seed butter! Back to the product, the rungs are sturdy, with no sharp edges and the paint quality is excellent. The stabilisers work well – they are chromed on mine rather than the yellow shown in the description, which I think is an improvement. It came with the hooks (see my picture) and the carabiners shown in the description. The hooks don’t quite reach over my very wide window sills, so I’m going to fit couple of wall anchors just inside the window. Total mass is only around 2.5 kg excluding the hooks and will fit easily under a bed or even under a wardrobe.

After calling the quality control problem to ISOP’s attention, they advised that they had moved swiftly to call the problem to the manufacturer’s attention, securing a commitment for improved quality control, emphasizing the safety-critical nature of the ladders being manufactured. On a just in case basis, they also secured a commitment for the manufacturer to include spare screws with every ladder sold. While I was initially disappointed with the stabilizer problem, I am now very impressed with ISOP’s customer service and overall commitment to safety. I installed this ladder on the edge of the steep river bank behind our house to make it easier to get in an out of the river. It feels safe and sturdy. The carabiners attach to a couple screw in ground anchors, and the spacers hold the stops off the river bank.
My first impression is good, it is sturdy well made and gives me confidence if I ever have to use it which I sincerely hope not.
It comes with a waterproof bag for me to store on my balcony, neat and tidy ready if necessary.

Good price and a sturdy significant piece that you can practice with. Has hooks and clasps to use a variety of ways.
