Very easy to use. Covers really well and it works 100%. I’ve used Liquid Rubber in many applications and it’s definitely worth the money.
Can definitely recommend.
Spent three days painting the garage roof twice. Nothing to complain about, just wish for a lower price.
Really great product! It goes on very smoothly and dries quickly. I got it in medium grey and it looks great on our concrete wall. I bought the primer as well as I saw in other comments that this works best on concrete when combined with the primer. Its great quality and provides a really nice barrier between the garden and our wall.
Applied Liquid Rubber, using in tandem with Liquid Rubber Geo Textile, to a 4 foot long very small crack on an external wall of our house. This crack has been the source of water ingress via a concrete lintel for many years and despite paying a few “damp” experts who claimed to have successfully fixed it, Liquid Rubber has now sorted the issue. I was in direct contact with the parent company in Ontario, Canada and they were extremely responsive and helpful.
I had to cover a large installed tarp in a short amount of time, my tool of choice was my generic car paint spray gun.
Technician did a follow up promptly and suggested this product line for my use case.
(Liquid Rubber Color Waterproof Sealant)
The product is very thick, doesn’t smell bad and doesn’t seems to have solvents fumes.
With the initial thickness it’s clearly a no go if you don’t have commercial equipment to push that stuff off.
The technician recommended a dilution of 5 to 10% of distilled water volume to help. At 5% and 45 psi, the spray gun does not allow the mix to exit. Bumping to 70-75 psi it goes out but not in an even/elegant spray.
I played around to find the sweet spot… trick #1 put the Liquid rubber container in hot tap water (65c ?) until the temperature rises evenly. Then, I found that at about 13% of distilled water per volume of Liquid rubber used is good for my hardware at 70 psi. It flows better and doesn’t run on the surfaces. Did a test with about 20% and the product flows much better but it runs on the vertical surfaces (not recommended).
1 gallon wasn’t enough for more than 1 good coat on the top surface of a 10′ x 20′ tarp installed on the frame.
I wasn’t expecting to need more than that, 2 gallons would have been better but it gets close to the price of buying a new tarp.
Take a while to dry out, follow the instructions, monitor the weather! and good luck! 🙂
** 1 year later update: worked well for winter and summer. A new coat would be required now, the UV and the wind did some damage over time and light come through some spots. **

And all have held up great- the only time r have issues with this product is when we put it on foundations and it sometimes bubbles and flakes off- the most important thing is to make sure you get the right liquid rubber product for your project. They have many different categories depending on your use . It is expensive stuff BUT it lasts . We will continue to buy their products
I put this on my 30 yr old wooden garage door. Over the years the bottom panel has been exposed to a lot of snow which caused the door to start to erode. The stains I used in the past did nothing to stop erosion so I opted to try liquid rubber. This stuff is easy to use and goes straight on right out of the can. I first tried using roller to apply but I did not like the result so I switched to using disposable brushes. That worked well and the brushes were tossed after use. So far I have a couple of coats on. Winter hits soon and spring will tell about the durability of liquid rubber.
UPDATE: Spring has arrived and I am pleased to report that liquid rubber did the job extremely well. With only 2 coats, the door shows no signs of deterioration. Weather permitting I will add couple more coats this spring. That should complete the protection process for good. Thanks Liquid Rubber.
I like that it was easy to apply with a roller and a brush. time will tell if it stands up to the elements. I did have to put 4 coats on, but if it seals the roof for 3 or 4 years it ‘s worth it!
This is an excellent product, so easy to apply. I used it to seal the exterior of my summer house. You can also paint over it.
MAKES MIRACLES… EASY TO USE AND SEALED VERY WELL RV ROOF.
Excellent product, rolled on 4 coats, good coverage and dried quite quickly. Using a roller left a nice textured finish
Never used this product before but the company and customer service people we’re great. I put 4 coats on my deck and it looks fantastic. It has rained in the meantime and not a single drop of water has appeared on my porch below. I would highly recommend this product and the company. A++++++++
J’ai utilis ce produit pour le toit de Trailleur chevreau
Used this product on a worn coping around an in ground pool. It applied and covered very well. I gave 4 stars but the 5th will be how it weathers after a Winter or 2. Did take time to dry but that was expected. So far very happy really made the pool look nice.
Used it on the roof pf my barn and it works great. Only put one coat on and then painted over it to get a moore uniform look with the rest of the roof sides. I put done some bleu skin water proof membrane over the joints (because i had it handy ) cut it to 2” and then used a heavy roller to apply the product. I covered about 1200sqft with the 5 gallon pale. Got some heavy rain a few times since and dry as a bone. Very happy. I can finally move on to more projects : )
Used to stop leaks on tin boat
Use to take on a lot of water , four coats of this and absolutely no water
Only thing is since it’s on the bottom outside of the boat it’s is getting scratched up and wearing of from shoring the boat
Still absolutely worth buying
a little thick to work with best to brush on versus rolling. did a tear after a few weeks later held up better when compared to big box stores elastomeric products designed for similar use.
Used 4 coats of light grey colour on my interior cement block basement walls to seal out the moisture. The finished appearance looked so great, I hated to frame and cover it for a finished insulated wall. I noticed however it remained tacky and didn’t adhere on the polyurethane crack sealer areas I used prior to painting. Otherwise an excellent product.
Easy to use – easy to clean up – seems to work great after 2 months of application.
put on outside barn roof/just wash it every year!/under walnut tree/now no more hole in plastic barn/they just bounce off!!!!! happy
Excellent product, as advertised.
Easy to use. It’s not a necessity but I do recommend using a primer first.
Used on rv roof, easy to use, just applied so time will tell durability wise
A great DIY produc
Just finished my second coat the other day and was waiting for my first rain…:just check inside my shed after our first rainstorm after painting all my steel roof seams and screw holes….and DRY!!!! My shed space is FINALLY dry! So easy….so efficient….and I didn’t bother Cleaning up. I used an old tray, roller and brush and just discarded after the second coat! I bought the 5 gallon pail, light gray. When over the existing Olaf deteriorated tar that was remaining. First coat went good and I think it would have been fine with one but I had a ton leftover so the second coat I gave an extra think coating for peace of mind.
Would highly recommend! I’m sure you could make it the workable area look nice using this material but because it was a back shed roof I just slathered it on. The colour is great too as the metal is a light grey so it’s not as noticeable from my Raised deck On my property which is just an added bonus. Over all I would highly recommend this product for giving a roof a new life especially for the price! Great value! I still have a 1/4 of the bucket left for future projects or touch ups!
This is great. Our roof is 20 years old at least. Put this LR on and it fills all the tiny hairline cracks on the membrane roof….even ordered another one…….and being white, it will help keep the roof cool in the summer.
I was amazed how well it worked when I need more hope they have it Fantastic
I ordered the Hunter Green Liquid Rubber for a future project. I am currently using the Black Liquid Rubber and absolutely LOVE it. It has a definite pungent odour, but that off-gasses and then it smells of nothing. It is a thorough waterproofing material. Best I have found yet!
This stuff is easy to use don’t smell bad I will buy again.
This product works very good and it’s not expensive. The application was easy and works great!!!
All is good this is my second can Works excelle
I used on many places , drive fast easy clean and strong no just for roof also seal gaps and and protect wood and paint over.
Love i
I used this product to cover every singe screw head on the tin roofs of a storage facility. Every. Single. One. Yeah it was a lot but it was quick work to dab it on, dried quickly and most of all it works! Bought two 5 gallon tubs to cover both buildings (approximately 265ft long by 35 wide) and had half a tub leftover. Afterward I went inside one of the storage units and closed the door to see if I could still see spots of sunlight peeking through the holes… and it was pitch black! Winter has since hit and there have been no leaks. I liked it so well I purchased a 3rd tub for a second storage facility to seal spot leaks and separations in the tin roof. Definitely recommend! I’m happy I didn’t have to spend the estimated $50k to replace the roof!
This paint is easy to apply
Removed carpet from fishing
Boat and used the paint looks very sharp
Looking forward to the summer to see how
It holds ou
Used it for sealing my 125 year stone foundation walls. Applied 3-4 coats. Dries quickly, can be applied in thick coats without extra long drying times (12-24 hours max), and seals up uneven surfaces, even with half centimeter gaps, and successive coats Very impressed. Bonds to nearly any surface, just remove light debris with a nylon wire brush.
Has the consistency of pudding and doesn’t require excessive mixing.
Highly recommend, but can’t speak to its longevity.
Made in Canada too.
Did my outside shed floor to water proof looks great and easy to work with
Belle finitio
The tape stuck well on the smooth surface and it was easy to apply the liquid rubber to it.
There are no dislikes.
I am wondering how durable the tape will be during winter.
I used your product on the cement pad at the entrance to my home.it looks like it will be there forever.i tried other products over the years and they peeled off.this was so easy to apply and looks great.thanks a bunch.H.C.
Bought my travel trailer second hand, discovering it had a hole and a tear in the roof. liquid rubber came to the rescue and I was able to fix the roof. Now the windows started to leak, and again liquid rubber fixed the problem. Thank you!
This product is spectacular. I have used it to paint the walls of a new wooden shed. It’s a bit like painting with yoghurt , I had white, but the coverage is substantial. Totally waterproofed. I also painted the outside basement wall. Two coats gave me great coverage with easy clean up.
I thought it was a bit expensive but I have had enough to paint another shed and the outside of some wooden planters.still got some left. Once again great coverage and the rain just runs off. Well worth the cost.
This product is everything you could expect, I will be purchasing more, for sure!
Product application and finish better than expected.perfect seal. Durability will be determined as time goes by. I recommend this product.
I have used this product a few times. Modifications to a pond, sealing a floor in a cold cellar. And now ceiling at foundation wall in the outside. So if you want water tight, this is the product you need.
It worked very well . Only time will tell how it will do over course of time. I think it is better to ask for review after the expiry of expected product life time. Don’t you think so ?
akes many coates to do a good job to cover RV rubber roof
Don’t know about water resistance not why I used it but it is everything it said to be
We like this product so well that we ordered another gallon today for another project. Husband is happy with results and is looking for more places to use the product in our home.
I bought this to waterproof my 30 year old RV roof. Four coats and many 80s songs later, she looks like a beaut. Too bad no one will ever see my beautiful work up there. Time will tell, but it’s a very nice product and I’m confident it will stand up. Very good product.
WELL worth the money ! Used this product to paint my homes metal roof … looks great and was definitely easy enough to apply. Highly recommend making this investment!
I purchased this product for a specific purpose. I used the product to seal a leak in my basement. The product worked perfectly. it was easy to use and is worth the money I spent.
Used Liquid Rubber to reseal my trailer roof, and it worked great. It’s easy to roll or paint on, and provided a nice even finish.
Great product. It solved a huge water leaking problem we had with a deck that attaches to an upstairs bedroom. I highly recommend!
We caulked the 100 or more holes then used three coats of Liquid Rubber. We hope the tiny hail balls will bounce off. So far so good. The color is great. Most roof coatings are white and that looks horrid. This tan is just what we wanted to see. The clean up is easy. We are very delighted with the results.
This Liquid Rubber Sealant was easy to apply on my sun room roof. I actually got 2 coats applied from the 1 gallon container. It stopped all but one small leak. I will apply another 2 coats as recommended. Cleanup was not a problem. The roof looks so much better. I highly recommend this product.
It’s good stuff and easy to apply and does it’s job
Hi this item works well if you fallow the instructions I recommend to all thanks
Excellent product. Easy to use and served its purpose very well
Great product, great service, tin weighed much lighter than I anticipated. Wish I could buy it in Ireland as I had to pay a lot for international delivery
It is just as expected and it will cover all 3 units perfectly.
I just coated a Florida room, very easy to use.
Sealed bathroom with Jacuzzi ceiling hold the water and no damage to the drywall.
Vraiment trs bon produit, j’ai refait la toiture de mon motoris, vraiment tanche.
I’ll follow up after my pond is up and running. The only issue I had is the medium grey, I should have went with dark grey for the look I was going for. It’s a little lighter then the color shown in the ad.
Important to know:
-Surface preparation is crucial.
-Applied layers must not be too thin.
-Final result was gratifying.
I used this for the underground portion of my goose blind. It coated it well but scraped off fairly easily. Time will tell how well it protects the buried plywood walls
Outstanding product. I used this to seal and spruce up a concrete waterfall pond that had started leaking and it looks great. Time will tell if it helps with the leak but I’m very hopeful.
I used it to seal knot holes on a shed with a wood roof. I used a spray gut for the application , but had to thin it very slightly since it is very thick. The shed had a 45 degree pitch and it would have been extremely difficult to use a brush for the application and the overlapped boards made using a roller not feasible. The sprayer worked well, but a high quality sprayer is needed.
Compared to local product I tried this one…It was much cheaper and did a better job ( more coverage ) great layer applied
Good quality .. easy to use ..
will see how it will perform after first winter
Snow , cold , and freezing rain .
Coverage way better then expected. Works well on other types of surfaces. Seamed cover flat metal roof in a day the 4″ seam tape.
Yes, liquid rubber is pricey. But if you have an application that demands it, you can feel confident it works. I’ve used it for many projects and it works great.
I used this product for my RV, and as far as I am concerned, this is the same product as their RV roof coating, at a fraction of the price. Liquid rubber has easy to use, durable products which work as advertised.
This stuff solved my leaky canvas problem. But like other customers, it’s been 2 months and still isn’t dry. I’m getting ready to cover it with rip stop nylon to prevent it sticking to itself when folded.
product was very easy to apply with good adhesion to a vinyl deck covering. Only drawback is it has been on for 5 days & although dry is very sticky or tacky to the touch. Makes the old deck look like new but at this point unable to walk on it.
Used for sealing iron railing to outdoor deck where normal caulking didn’t always prevent rain/moisture from getting into wood support below the deck floor through the bolt holes to attach the iron railing to the deck. Easy to apply and absolutely seals out moisture.
Good product I recommend this product
And delivery e head a time too
So far, so good.
I used it to cover cement cracks in my swimming pool, and then covered it with
the blue pool paint even though the company did not guarantee the use.
Will let them know after a year.
